X's face turns pale as he stares at the corpse and suddenly blurts out, "Wha-What happened?!"

Zero and Axl rushes in, where the redhead gasps in horror while Zero grits his teeth in anger.

The policeman sees the trio staring at the bodies and asks, "Excuse me, you three. Do you know the victim?"

"... Y... yes..." X stuttered as he is still trying to comprehend what he just say.

The policeman takes a deep sigh and gets out of the crime scene with the trio as the man decides to pet X's back and says, "Okay. I am deeply sorry for what happened to your friend, but can you tell us what's his name?"

"..." X and Axl are too startled to say anything, but Zero takes a deep breath.

"Bob." Zero answered him with a calm tone.

"Any last name?" The man asked him.

"... Not that we're aware of." Zero answered, "We're more like acquaintances."

"I see. Fair enough." The man said, "I strongly recommend you leave everything to us and you three continue your journey. Ok?"

"Of course." Zero answered honestly, and turns to his friends, "Come on guys. Let's get going."

"... Y-yeah..." X mumbled as the trio leaves while the police continues with their investigation. "... Zero... I..."

"I know." Zero answered, "Someone or something killed him."

"D-Do you think a Pokemon did this?" X asked him.

"Judging by the scars, very likely." Zero answered, "Though... we don't know how that happened. We need to be in guard regardless since there's a chance they're still here."

"True..."

"..." Axl also stays quiet.

During the whole journey to get out of the forest, the trio stays very quiet out of respect and the shock where they couldn't be bother to train nor fight any trainer battles.

Just as they found an exit, Axl notices an haunted mansion, but doesn't say anything out of respect for his friends and so, they got out of the forest and arrive just at the entrance of Eterna city through a small bridge with a bunch of fishermen minding their own business.

"... Let's try to find an hotel..." X said.

"... Yeah..." Axl agreed with him.

"..." Zero just moves forward and says, "Let's continue guys..."

The trio moves forward while avoiding the fishermen as they continue on. Normally, they seem tons of deaths back in their world, especially of their comrades. But, this death made them remembered that things are too good to be true and have to remember those Pokemons were like animals - they have the potential to kill them if they do desire to.

X shivers at the thought of those creatures could potentially kill humans. At the same time, it's not surprising considering there has been incidents of animals killing humans, so he wouldn't be surprised if this is the same case in this world as well.

Thankfully, the city is rather small by their standards, so they were able to find a hotel quickly and get their things ready for tomorrow where Zero prepares to fight Gardenia.

"Hey guys..." Axl stuttered, "How did... Bob get here...?"

X and Zero realised this, and Zero simply says, "That's... a good question."

"I-I didn't realised till now..." X answered, "I was so deep shock that I didn't consider that."

"Yeah... I can't believe it flew over our heads." Zero admitted.

"Than again, we are in the bodies of fairly young boys." X said. "I... I think we should sleep in order to recover from what happened yesterday."

"I don't think I'll be able to sleep well..." Axl admitted.

"I don't think anybody would be after that..." X agreed with him.

"Mmm... let's just try to force ourselves to sleep regardless." Zero told them.

"... Okay..." Axl and X said in agreement as they change their clothes to pjs and switch off the lights.

"Good night guys..." X said to them.

"Night, X." Axl and Zero replied as they all try to sleep for the night... but were unable to.

A/N - Oh yes. An important note; I finally got a paid job at the January 8th. Though, that means I have even less time to update my fanfics unfortunately.
