The trio stares at three red balls. X raises his eyebrow in confusion, Zero is completely baffled and Axl grits his teeth and randomly grabs a ball as he screams;
"DISAPPOINTMENT!!!"

Axl throws the ball to the floor, which the ball releases a white light. The trio stares at the light that suddenly transforms into a adorable looking chimpanzee with orange fur, yellow skin and a small fire on it's rear.

"Chim!" The chimpanzee cheered, "Hello everyone!"

"..." The trio stares at the chimpanzee.

"Mm? Chimchar?" The chimpanzee asked, "Ahem... why'd everyone looking at me?"

"... So... SO CUTE!!!" Axl cheered.

Axl rushes to hugs him tightly and shouts, "I take it back! This is amazing! We have pets!"

"CHIM!" The chimpanzee cheered as he hugs back, "Yay! New friend!"

X and Zero look at Axl hugging the fire creature happily, than look at each other, and finally at the two other balls. X grabs the left ball while Zero takes the right one. They both throw it to the ground; releasing two lights that transforms into a green turtle and a blue, adorable penguin.

"Turt, Turtwig?" The turtle asked. "Ahem... which one of you picked me?"

"Ahem... that would be me?" X pointed out, much to the turtle's shock.

"Turt! Turt! Trut?!" The turtle asked in shock, "Hold on! You can understand me?!"

"Y... yes..." X replied.

"Pip, Piplup?" The penguin asked, "And I guess blondie can hear me too, huh?"

"Yes... and my name is Zero," Zero told him off.
"Hmph! Pip, Piplup, Pip!" The penguin mocked him with puff up chest, "Hmph, as if I would listen to a weird sounding girl like you!"

"Great..." Zero muttered and shrugs off.

"PIP! PIP PIP!" Piplup shouted at him, "Oi Don't ignore me!"

"..." Zero continues ignoring him while Piplup begging for his attention.

"... Oh boy..." X mutters, than he looks at the turtle, who is just asleep. "Oh! Hello there!"

"... Num!" Turtwig suddenly bites X's hand, while sleeping, which X's eye twitches.

"... AAAHHHHHHH!!!" X screamed.

A few people enters the room with two middle aged men, two women and three men; a tall and lithe man with black lines around his eyes, and appeared to be missing his right eye where he covers it with an eyepatch. He had long, blond hair that swept directly behind his head, and retained a large scar on his forehead to his missing right eye. He wears a dark purple leather jacket, a black undershirt, trousers and boots. Next to him is a elderly man who looks like Santa Claus in a lab coat.

One man has blue eyes and messy, black hair while wearing all blue clothing, the other one has red black hair, but red eyes while wearing black punk clothing, and finally a brunette man with sunglasses and red clothing with a red scarf. And a blond woman in a ponytail, green eyes and a red dress.

"What happened here!?" Roll asked.

"X got bitten by the turtle," Zero told her in the most deadpan tone ever.

This is enough to have Roll to carefully remove Turtwig from X, which X's hand is aching. Zero grabs onto his bitten hand and look at it to see if it's serious while Axl and Chimchar start giggling to each other.

"You'll be fine," Zero ensured.

"But the bite was very painful, though..." X complained.

"You been through worse," Zero ensured him quietly.

"... True..." X quietly admitted.

"I see you finally met your life time partner," A woman spoke.

The trio and their chosen starters turn their heads to a beautiful navy blue haired woman who tied her hair into a short ponytail, with silver eyes, pale skin and wears a pink dress underneath her lab coat, black leggings and pink boots.

"My name is Professor Berlitz," The woman introduced herself. "But please, call me Dawn."

A/N - Yep! Dawn is the new Professor of this fanfic, and the classic characters are back. In this fic, Professor Dawn is a mixture of the one in the game and Platinum from the manga to make things a little more interesting and add a bit more depth to her character since she's rather bland in the game, but the manga did her justice and so, I decided to have her manga personality and slightly similar backstory, but has her in-game experiences, if you understand what I meant.
