Almost to 400 followers! I couldn't wait anymore and decided to post this! Thank you for staying with me and hope you like this prologue!

Alex wouldn't stop touching things. Selena tried her best to prevent her from grabbing her stuff she was packing from inside her mansion. It was good while it lasted, but it was time to give up the mansion Melody trusted her to keep finally. Melody trusted Selena enough to do whatever she wanted with the house. She used it for shelter when she was on her own many years ago, but once finding the place. She also used it to battle trainers who assumed she was a ghost. Due to her pranking ways, it wasn't hard to convince others what they were getting into, which wasn't much what they thought

"Alex, you need to stop touching my things. If you keep taking things out the boxes, then I'll never get things done!" She carried her 3-year-old sister away from the boxes. Making contact made Alex create dozens of vines and Glacidea flowers all over the place "awe! Come on!" She whined. Alex laughed and started playing with the flowers

"You're impossible, Alex... why did I agree to bring you here?"

"Oh come on, Selena. She only wants to be with you" Shadow walked from another room with her Zorua on his shoulder. Zorua chuckled and jumped over to her father carrying some boxes. Selena sighed and placed Alex next to Ninetales, who was resting with Froslass and wasn't bothering to even help

"Yeah, but... I'm trying to get stuff done" she crossed her arms, walking to her boxes of trophies and medals. Wasn't that long ago since she gathered those things on her adventure around the world, huh..? She smiled and closed the box, using her powers to levitate it to the door, where Dark was stacking the boxes neatly.

"Why can't we get your Pokémon to teleport this stuff somewhere?" He nagged "let me teleport this stuff to wherever you want them at" Selena winked and turned away

"Oh come on. We can't all depend on our Pokémon or even powers to help us in life."

"Says the one who just used her powers" Shade walked from another room with some more boxes and Minccino on top of them. It cheered, up and down, making Shade wobble a bit "hey! Cut that out!" His brothers laughed. Selena just smiled and looked at her hands.

Her powers are what made her special. She grew up without knowing of her true intentions. If it weren't for Shadow, she would have still been in this constructed mansion when it was at its worse state she found it in. Though she will never forget the memories she made with her many friends and the ones who also had abilities of their own caused by the unusual eye color they had,  it was time to move on and forget any of that ever happened. Aside from so much hate and tears, she grew up happy with everyone who helped her open up

She took a glance at Shadow, who was laughing at his little brother, who still had Minccino on the boxes and jumping. It only felt like yesterday that he suddenly showed up to the mansion and randomly asking for a battle, not too long after he wanted her to meet his friends. He was still pretty random really, but that was just what she loved about him. Holding her heart, she admired the scene of the brothers making fun of each other before they've noticed her staring.

"Hey, what are you looking at?" Shade asked. She shook her head and picked up a box. How is she going to explain to them of what her mom asked her to do not too long ago? She still hasn't made the decision, but even if she agreed to it, how will things turn out if she did or didn't?

Her Pichu stared at her from a bookshelf, knowing something was wrong. Every one of her Pokémon sense something was bothering her, but they knew better than to question it... except Zora, who walked over and jumped on her shoulder, Surprising her

"Oh! Zorua!" She gasped. The little black fur ball leaned to her ear.

"Is something wrong, master?" She frowned and looked at the Shadow triad staring at her. She frowned more when staring at Shadow looking at her like he knew what was up, but put on a smile and looked at his brothers.

"It's been a long day, lets all head out" his brothers were iffy about the idea but saw no point in trying to figure out what was on Selena's mind. She was never an open person, but she is more than she used to be before

"Alright... we'll see you later then" Dark and Shade waved, walking out the door. It was only her and Shadow in the room, excluding her Pokémon.

"Is something wrong?" He walked up to her, moving her hair behind her ears. She blushed, never getting used to his unexpected touches. She glanced away, not wanting to look at his beautiful and unusual grey colored eyes

"It's not something I want to talk about right now. I'll tell you later, all of you, but... later, alright?" He shrugged, seeing that it was okay as long as she says it later. He worries about her occasionally, even if everything was in peace, Selena was always the hard one to understand

"Alright" he gently held her cheek and leaned in for a kiss. Her eyes widened on contact. Even if they kissed many many times, his sudden kisses would always take her by surprise. She relaxed and softened her eyes, but didn't entirely close them. She stared at his gently closed eyes, looking into her thoughts about that decision.

He leaned away, smiling, and removed her hair that was falling on her forehead "see you later, your majesty" she glared and kicked him out her house. He laughed and took off, teleporting. She can't believe those three still call her that since after she became queen of Team Plasma. Though it was faked, they call her that to amuse themselves on how quickly she gets upset.

She giggled after and walked to her many boxes by the door. Kneeling down to one of the boxes, she took out her precious keystone from the jewelry box she got at the Kalos region from a pair of her friends she hasn't even seen in a few years. She sighed and held her head, keeping the hair off her forehead. Most of her Pokémon walked over, watching her slouching her back like she was devastated

"If I say yes to mom... what am I going to do about everyone else? I don't want to leave them, but... I still" she bit her lips, gripping on her stone "I don't want to... leave anyone" she shut her eyes, letting a few tears fall. Everyone looked at each other, hoping someone knew what she was talking about. Ninetales, the only one who understood, walked to her side and placed her paw on Selena's knee. She looked up at her golden fox surprised, then nodded.

"I left so many things behind" she picked out her frames with certificates of proof of her being champion of Sinnoh and Hoenn "I gave these up... I did so many things in that adventure by myself" she took out her capture styler she received when going to ranger school with her dad's permission and guidance "and yet..." she glanced at the cases of gym badges "I still don't understand anything" she closed the box "I don't know myself. Still... this decision can be good for me, but even if I agree to it, will I know if I can ever see my friends again..? Or..." she deepened her frown "Shadow" he's the last person she wants to tell everything to, but she still hasn't made a decision

"Master..." Zorua frowned. She smiled down at her golden-eyed fox and petted her head

"Nine... tales ni" Ninetales said. Selena reached for its mega stone around her gold fox's neck, feeling the tingling feeling within it due to their bond, and stood up.

"It's your decision" Zoroark translated. It wasn't that long ago that Selena found out he to can speak like his daughter, but he doesn't always talk, only when it's essential. She walked pass everyone and held her hip, staring at the secret entrance door nearby before walking to the hidden grove behind her house with a small lake

"T-this will be good for me" she smiled, walking up to her ditto's grave "I'm still young... friendship is strong enough to stay alive for a long time if we can work hard enough, but this is my family I'm talking about" she looked at her Pokémon surrounding her with frowns on their faces "we're going to lose this home, but the memories will always be here" she sat in front of the grave. Alex walked up to her, handing her a Gracidea flower. Selena smiled, placing her on her lap and set the flower on the grave

"Why are you selling this house?" Alex asked. Oh, simple mind... she never has to worry about anything. Selena smiled, kissing her forehead

"Well... it's too big for me. I don't plan on making a family or anything, but even so, it's time to leave the past behind. I had great memories here with my friends and Pokémon, but I'm planning to get a smaller home with a big yard, so all my Pokémon can play. You'd like that, right?" Alex nodded excitedly. Selena giggled "I thought so" she looked back at the grave "I'm sorry Melody, you told me to take care of Ditto, but it was its time... I'm sure you and it are very happy together" Melody was the owner of the mansion she was selling. She stood up and walked to the lake, letting her long black hair flow in the soft wind. She stared at her water types playing around, those who already lived in the lake, and a unique little individual who kept jumping to the surface to wave to its mother

"Mana!" It jumped into the water and up again, waving both arms "phee!" Selena gave a happy smile, big enough to make her cheeks grow soft pink

"I have to see what Shadow says... but either way" she looked at everyone "I made my decision" everyone waited to know what's going on "we're moving to a new region!" Everyone gasped very loudly, all except Ninetales and the girls

Selena just went home after a long day of battling a few trainers in the Pokémon gym, in place of Elesa in the Nimbasa gym. She had to ask Selena to fill in for her since she had a photo shoot to attend. Selena took the request and battled with her Ampharous, Pichu, and Eevee, who knew how to turn into any eeveelution and back

It's been a long day, and so many people wouldn't leave her alone. That was precisely why she refused to take a position as a gym leader on behalf of Rosa's, the champion of Unova, request. She stopped challenging trainers at her home, so there was no way she's going to go through that bull again

It's been a while since she last saw her mom and baby sister, but she thinks it was finally time to relax and stay with the family. She opened the front door and got an immediate greeting from her baby sister

"Selena!" She cheered. Selena stared at her sister surprised before picking her up and carry her to the kitchen where her mom was probably at

"Hey, little one, how did you know I was coming?" Selena asked

"I felt you coming!" That's right. Ever since the day they met after she came back from her adventure, and never knowing her mom was pregnant, it seemed that as soon as they touched, sparks flew. They had a bond she couldn't understand. Alex could grow flowers like magic, even if she didn't have different eyes like her and her supernatural friends, Selena knew Alex was created by a legendary as well... a legendary who gave their children souls and gifted them with powers.

"I see" She put her down and approached her mom while Alex started playing with Ninetales who was following them the whole time "hey mom, I'm home" Her mom and Natu turned over and gasped with excitement.

"Oh! You're home!" She came for a tight hug "I'm so glad you came! Just in time too!" Huh? "I want to talk to you about something! It's about your father."

"What about him?"

"Well, not just him... us... but..." she waved around a loto ticket "guess who won!" Selena's jaw dropped

"No way..." her mom squealed excitedly.

"Way!"

"That's amazing! So what was it that you wanted to tell me about us?" Mom nodded and handed her a bowl of veggies "huh..?"

"Help me out with dinner! You and I can talk to dad via video chat at dinner!" Selena sweatdropped, but nodded O.K and started helping around the house. She used her levitating powers to carry things from one place to another "no!" Mom smacked her with a spoon

"Ow!"

"Do it the old fashion way! You can't put love in a meal if you use magic!" Selena told her all about her uniqueness, even about Alex and the rest of her friends. Mom didn't take it so lightly, nor dad, but either way, there was no way she allowed magic in the house. Natu understood since it wasn't allowed to use its powers to help out with anything

"Fine fine..." Dinner was ready in about an hour. Everyone sat on the dinner table and waited for the video call on the tv to pick up. Dad's big smile appeared on the screen, just his smile. Selena waved her hand with her mouth full

"Dad, you're too close to the camera. I can see what you ate earlier" he backed away from the camera and picked his teeth. Alex lifted her arms, throwing food in the air unintentionally, happy to see her daddy. Mom freaked and hurried to try to take it off the ceiling.

"Daddy!" Alex exclaimed

"Alexandria! How are my girls!? Selena! I'm glad you made it home! How's Rayquaza?"

"Fine" she merely said. No matter how much she changed over the years, giving out simple responses will never change

"Great! I'm glad to hear it! Did you tell her yet, sweetie?" He asked mom

"No, not yet," Mom said, jumping up to reach for the thrown food "I was waiting for you!"

"What? You want me to tell her or something?" His Minun came on the screen, greeting everyone "alright" he sighed and looked at Selena "so did you know your mom won the lottery?"

"Yeah?"

"That's not the only major thing that happened. The truth is... I had to do some surgery on my leg. It will do me no good to still be a Ranger with such a job" he sighed "I decided to retire..." Selena's jaw dropped

"W-what..?" Her heart fluttered a little, knowing if he did such a thing, she can see him more often, but what about the ranger base where many people depend on him? He was the best around! "What about everyone else?"

"I already planned this retirement before the accident."

"Are you okay?"

"Oh yeah! Nothing Lunick can't control" Selena smiled at his wide grin, calling himself by his work name, "your mother and I thought about this for a long time... we wanted to go and make a new living for ourselves. I never see any of you so often, and Alexandria needs to see her father, so I thought it be best if all of us could come together and move to a new region" Selena dropped her fork and stood up

"We... can all be together? Like... for real!" Mom sat down, smiling at the sparkle her daughter was showing to her dad. She dreamed of the family being together for a long time... can this really happen?

"Yes," mom said. Selena sat back down "we want to make a new life, and what better way to do that is to move to a new region!"

"Which region?" She's been to almost all of them

"Alola"

"Never heard of it..."

"Oh! It's great! I know some friends I knew back in the day who lives over there! I think it'll be wonderful! There's a home over there that's for sale, and we're thinking about buying it! But..." He let mom finish for him

"We want the entire family to live in the household..." Selena held her heart

"So you want me to live with you all..?" The side of her lip curled a little "a real family" her parents smiled "w-well... but" she looked at Ninetales "what about my friends..?"

"This is your decision, Selena" dad said "we want you to be with us, but we also want to let you be happy. If you don't want to move with us, it's fine."

"Well... I already decided to sell my mansion. T-this is so unexpected" Mom held her hand.

"I don't want you to regret nothing... I think this is a good idea for the family, but whatever you decide will be alright. As long as you visit, we'll be happy" Selena really wants to be a complete family again, but everyone she met the ones who helped her open up... how can she? Many of them live in different regions themselves, but still... Shadow

Selena patiently waited for her friends to come to N's castle, where she wanted to tell everyone about her decision. Her Lucario, a loyal companion she got from a relative she met in Iron island in Sinnoh, Riley, who surprisingly had the same power of aura she had, but that was for another time to think about... she clenched on Ninetale's pokéball, nervous. Ninetales, Lucario, and Froslass are the only one in her party, so she didn't expect to stay long after the announcement. Lucario stood a few feet away, knowing she wanted space

N was the first to arrive next to Hilda. Selena smiled at the wonderful weds, wishing she never missed their wedding. Though it was a couple of years ago, she still thinks about it when she sees them.

"Hello dear" Hilda waved happily. Selena smiled and reached to hold her hands. Hilbert, Nate, and Rosa didn't come too long after

"Hey, guys" she smiled. Rosa cheered and jumped to give her a bear hug. Selena groaned, not strong enough to hold up such a heavy girl... even if she was tiny

"Selena! It's been a while!" Rosa exclaimed, "I missed you!" Selena giggled and hugged her back

"Same here" Nate and Hilbert came up and ruffled her hair around in a teasing way. She pouted and pushed them away playfully "where's Hugh?"

"Battling... he'll be here soon" the Shadow Triad came in minutes "looks like everyone's here! So what's this big thing you wanted to talk about, Selena?" Selena nodded and took a deep breath, looking into the eyes of everyone staring at her, including the ones with the different shades of grey colors. She took another deep breath and smiled.

"I wanted to tell you all something about-"

"I'm sorry..." that voice belonged to... Giratina? She paused, slowly reaching to hold her head and groan in pain. Shadow hurried to catch her shoulders

"Selena? What's wrong?" She groaned, whimpering a bit. A bad presence was approaching...

"S-something..." she glanced to the side, seeing a black hole appear behind N's leg. An adult male hand crept from it, reaching out to snatch his leg

"N!" She gasped. The hand grabbed him aggressively, making him fall straight down

"N?" Hilda jumped. The black hole disappeared and reappeared behind Dark. Selena's eyes widened, feeling like the world suddenly went in slow motion. The hand crept behind him, unseen by all except her

His eyes widened, slowly drooling blood from his lips before coughing it out and fall forward. Shade caught him, shaking emotionally. Selena cupped her mouth.

"No... Dark!" Shadow cried. Selena took a step back before the same hole appeared behind Shade.

"Shade!" Selena cried, reaching out to him. He was stabbed the same way, coughing blood out and fell forward with his oldest brother. Everyone stepped away, horrified. Shadow fell on his knees, devastated.

"Who did that!?" Rose shouted, angrily "come out and show yourself! You bastard!" She took out her master ball, ready to release her legendary. Selena stared at the triad, shaking as bad as a leaf blowing in a storm. Lucario sensed something and hurried to reach after her. Her aura bombs burst automatically, keeping Lucario from coming closer. Her powers were going out of control... just like that day when...

The black hole she saw before widened, showing the distortion world on the other side. Ghetsis sauntered from it, covered in very aged blood and had it fresh on his hands

"You..." N groaned, holding his elbow

"You're alive..?" Shadow whispered, breathless

"Still!?" Selena growled, clenching her jaw angrily. Nate stared at her, opening his arm to push Hilbert and Rosa back. They looked at what he was seeing... and it wasn't good.

"It's good to be back!" Ghetsis laughed "after so many years of trying to defeat that monster, I finally defeated it and claimed rightful ruler of the distortion world!" His laugh carried through the castle. That's why Giratina... Selena's head twitched

"You should've been dead..." her voice was ominous and trembling

"S-Selena..." Hilda cried. Shadow snapped his head to look at her. If she doesn't calm down, he knows what will happen. Hurrying to reach out to her, a black wing crept from the hole behind Ghetsis, tempting to hurt the old man, but stabbed Shadow through the stomach instead. Selena's eyes widened more, staring at Shadow's body fall lifelessly on the ground

"W-why..?" Hilbert cupped his mouth, holding back a hurl at the scent of of blood covering the floor. Rosa cried loudly and aimed to throw her master ball, but Nate stopped her, forcing her and everyone to leave the castle immediately after the changes he saw on Selena's face. Her eyes were glowing, and her hair shaded the anger in them to a point where she looked like a monster ready to attack

"Revenge is key..." Ghetsis laughed "do what you want with me... after all you've done... I only plan on seeing the monster you truly are" Selena smirked widely, making him flinched.

"That's exactly what you're going to see..." she wasn't herself. The aura around her was growing. Rose stared at her dear friend acting this way as everyone else sent out their Pokémon to fly away. Rose reached out to Selena, crying balls of tears

"SELENA!!" Selena's world darkened. Lost... she lost her triad... her guards... her friends. The ones she knew as kids when they were suffering in the middle of the rain caused by Shade's tears. Ghetsis calmed down, opening his arms, already awaiting his fate. Lucario screamed, hurrying to reach for her and her Pokémon. Selena released her aura, destroying the castle and killing the one who ruined her. Her friends flew in the air, staring devastated at their friend passed out on the spot, near her triad in which were leaking blood all over. Ghetisis was impaled to a broken statue. Lucario fainted next to everyone else... only laying near its own pokéball and Froslass

Same prologue (almost) as the one in the first book! Glad you came back. Again... please don't hate me! I'll be posting this only because it's in the first book and the summery and cover was finished so why not?
