The Pokémon league of Alola was a bit different than what she was use to. Since there were so many trainers competing, everyone had to battle one another to remove the losing party and bring the winner up the charts until one was the winner and now able to walk into the castle to battle the elite four. So far, Her, Hau, Plumeria, Gladion, Hapu, and Ryuki, were the top 6 on the charts.

Every time Gladion looked over to stare at Selena, she would turn away and pretend like she doesn't notice him. Hau was aware of everything happening at the moment, but sat there next to her, silently laughing at how shy she was for a tough girl such as herself. It's adorable

"So where you've been all this time, Sel?" Hau asked "I ran into Lillie and she said she doesn't know what happened to you, but you asked for Nebby. What for?" She smiled

"That shouldn't be concerning to you. I'm here, aren't I?" She stretched her arms "it's all that matters... I won't leave any of you lonely" Hau sat there with a confused look on his face, but kept on that smile

"I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm really liking this vibe you're giving out. It's really positive! But there's something else I feel..." she looked at him thinking "I think it has something to do with your eyes. Anything cool happen while you were away?"

"You can say" she chuckled "I've been through a lot... I almost died again"

"Oh!" He smiled for a moment before freaking out. Sigh... same old Hau. It's good to be home

"Say! Do you have anymore powers?"

"Why you ask?"

"Just wondering" he thought for a moment before Kukui announced the next contestants. Gladion and Colress. Selena blushed and brought her knees closer to her, watching her guard and the mute scientist walking to the battle field in front of the elite four doors

"Cool! Gladion is next! Wonder who you and I will battle!"

"I'm not in a rush to know... this is my third time participating in a league"

"Oh right! You battled against Unova, Sinnoh, and Hoenn! Huh?"

"Yeah, but I didn't win the Unova league. Before I was ready to take on the league champion, I was kidnapped and brought to Neon City where Team Plasma's base was pretty much, and they still thought I was their queen even after I banished their leader" she crossed her arms "it's when I met Red. I still have to look for him" she looked at Hau listening "and after coming back and being defeated in the league, I ran away. I was opening up, but thought back on how unnecessary it was to go down a path I wasn't meant to be in" she smiled "I grew a lot since then... have I?"

"I think so!" Selena looked back at the screen showing the contestants battling out until there was a declared winner. It came to their surprise that Colress and Gladion lost at the same time. Gladion was throwing a mild fit with himself. That's the Gladion she knew... it put a smile on her face to see that edge lord again. He lost... but watched him shake it off and run out the league

"Where is he going?" Hau asked

"Training... I suppose" she stood up and walked to the girl room. Her heart was pounding. She couldn't believe she was going to do this... she felt Plumeria staring at her from the sink. She paid no attention and went into the stall to have her little moment to herself "how am I going to do this..? How am I just going to tell him? They aren't the same people..." Moone Gladion might have loved her, but Sunne Gladion is the opposite of who that one is. How can she take the rejection?

Plumeria walked up to the stall, listening to her fuss to herself before kicking the door hard, almost scaring Selena "not now!" She whined. Plumeria kept beating on the door with her foot until she came out. Selena finally got annoyed and opened the stall "what is it? Plumeria?"

"I don't want to hear you whining" she looked confused "after what you've been through, you're honestly going to take a little rejection and have it mess you up?" Selena blushed a little

"I don't know what you're talking about"

"I know you like Gladion" is it obvious?

"This doesn't concern you"

"Probably not" she leaned closer to her face "but I'm not going to take that little attitude of yours! So what if he reject you!? You're still a strong girl who saved my baby daddy's life! For that, I'm grateful... so there's no way I'm going to allow you to look down at yourself!"

"Plumeria..." Plumeria turned away

"The worse that can happen is that he'll reject you. There's nothing wrong with rejection... it helps you get stronger. You are already strong, but you're still human... and you deserve to admit to your feeling and be happy" she turned over at Selena standing there still with a blush on her face

"How do you know who I'm talking about?" She crossed her arms

"Oh please! That kid talks about you all the time. He kept telling the Grunts if they lay a finger on you then they're dead" her face went more red than before. Plumeria smiled "you'll be just fine..." Selena smiled

"Thanks..." Plumeria flipped her ponytails and walked out the bathroom. Selena sighed and walked out after doing her business, seeing that Hau running to the battle field with Plumeria. It's funny... Moone Hau took the place of Plumeria as Team Skull's admin. And now they're battling against each other. Who would make the better admin?

Ryuki from before walked over to her and sat down while she begun brushing Ninetale's fur "hey cutie, I think we started off in the wrong side"

"There's no we. I have no interest in talking to people who are full of themselves"

"You talk like you're the same" she looked at him in the eyes "come on, how about after I become champion, I'll take you out-" she narrowed her eyes and pointed between his face, staring deep into his eyes

"Don't disrespect me... I know guys like you, and to be in the safe side, you won't look at me in the eyes ever again" he started shaking and automatically fell on his knees to bow. Her eyes widened

"As you say... your majesty" she pouted with a blush and hurried off. This crown... it made it worse! Can she take it off? There's a thing that she can't understand... Moone Selena gave her a power that she couldn't develop on her own because she lived differently than the queen, but the queen gave her that power... the crown is making people act... like she's actually a queen

There were times when someone would accidentally call her 'your majesty' but how does that differ to the power that was given to her?

"The truth is..." Melody's spirit showed up, sitting on a bench "the power the queen gave you only completed that part of your power that was only half way completed"

"What do you mean?" She asked, looking around to make sure no one was looking

"The power the queen gave you came from her enjoying her life. She loved her life... there's always something wrong you got to point out about yours. That power was already developing in your body, but not completely until she gave you the complete set"

"Why didn't Mew or Celebi tell me about this?"

"Do you really think our legendaries are going to tell us everything? There's one more power you still have to complete. The powers you have of bonding, attracting, Soul bend, and singing, are all part of that power you couldn't complete. Your crown is complete... that power is the power of royalty all together. You still have one more to complete..." Selena looked down

"What power is this actually? I never got any hints!" She shook her head "What if he rejects me?" Melody floated up to face her

"It's not about telling him, it's about accepting those feelings. You must know the consequences, and true knowledge of what it means to feel. You're on your way already... you've grown so much since you showed up to my castle 4 years ago... I'm so proud of you"

"T-thankyou..." Melody giggled "Zoroark... he's the reincarnation of your brothers" she reached for her cheek

"It's okay... that's the past. Zoroark will be fine. He was cursed to be a Pokémon even if he's human as well. It's my fault for doing such a thing"

"He'll be fine... I'm with him" she cleared her throat "one more thing... after this last power, will I be done developing!"

"Yup!" She sighed in relief "you've been through a lot! Huh!? Taken that you've been created by Mew, Celebi, and Lugia" Selena froze "oh come on! You honestly believe that Lugia created my soul and for some reason changed all that once my soul was given to you by your legendaries? No! Lugia was the first to create our soul, and those pink legendaries poured their powers into it! You're technically created by three legendaries, but Lugia doesn't really count you because you were taken away from it to make a better life. If you didn't have Mew and Celebi, I don't think your life would be all that interesting if Lugia had you all to itself"

"That's... all too confusing. You shouldn't have told me all that" Melody shrugged

"Maybe"

"The last two challengers? please approach the battle field: Ryuki and Selena! The winner will battle against Hau to determine who gets to participate in the first ever Pokémon league of Alola!" The intercom spoke out loud. So Hau won... looks like he's the better admin. Selena chuckled to herself before walking away from Melody fading away, and made her way to the battle field on the same spot where she saved Princess Alexandria

"This castle is the very castle those girls would be ruling over right now... it's strange, but it feels like I have to take this castle for myself as queen" she face palmed, ignoring Kukui introducing the challengers "I can't believe I'm royalty now... what kind of shit is that?"

"Nine?" Ninetales questioned. She shook her head and looked at Ryuki standing there with a smirk

"My babies are dying to play a set. I figure what better stage than the league!" Ryuki yelled out "allow me to introduce my bandmates! come on, babies!" He yelled, sending out a Drampa crying out in the battle field in confidence. Oh! That's a new Pokémon she hasn't seen yet!

Selena rolled her eyes and send out Froslass. It been awhile since she used her in battle "how dazzling! Ladies first!" He laughed. Selena nodded and held her hip, pointing forward

"Froslass! Use ice beam!" The star trainer had a full set of dragon type Pokémon. It didn't even take long to defeat him with only one Pokémon

"Y-you're kidding" he stared into Selenas annoyed eyes

"I have to admit... you're not bad, but why are you sticking with one type? If you really seek to become champion, you should know that no trainer can win with the same typing" he raised his arms

"Everyone's got their own problems, huh? I stick with what I got. Listen... The critics love my songs, but no one was buying my music for a while, man. but I am just a rocker down to my bones. nothing else to do but keep on rocking. I dig you champ. looks like you know who you are, too. You seem very confident, right down to your bones" he bowed and walked away. Selena crossed her arms and turned away, holding her head in annoyance

"If I hear someone tell me that one more time..." Hau walked up to the battle field. Ninetale's tails started swaying in excitement. Selena smiled and faced him "don't let me down, Hau! I've been waiting for a fun battle for a long while! Don't disappoint!" He nodded with that big smile of his

"I'll try not to! I'm going to give it everything I got! I'll show you just how much I trained! I won't let you down!" She tilted her head confused, not understanding why he sounded like he meant it another way "I didn't start off strong! Having fun was all I thought about, but after what happened... I wanted to become like you and not have you see me as a burden! I don't need you to save me!" He send out Incineroar  "I'm going to take this seriously!" She smiled brightly

"That's what I like to hear! But I hate to break it to you!" She laughed "I'm going to take the title of champion and own this crown!" He flinched at the sparkle. she brought back Froslass and released... "Primarina! I choose you!" She cheered "catch!" She threw the waterium z, having Primarina catch it without looking "and... let's go!"

Seeing the time when watching Hau growing from his childish and carefree self back in Iki Town to see him grow to this serious trainer who isn't afraid to still have fun along the way, made Selena smile at his determination and returned her second to last Pokémon, as well as he did

"Not bad..." she smiled "you surely don't disappoint..."

"I hope you're ready for my last Pokémon! Crabominable!" Hau send out his fighting ice type Pokémon. It was awfully larger than him...
but nothing Ninetales can't handle. Selena gently closed her eyes and looked at her gold and white mixed furred partner

"We're steps away from going into the Pokémon league... this will be the first one I'm going to take serious. Not that I enjoy the attention... but that crown is a part of me now" she looked at Hau waiting for her "I have to represent it... I'll put my all into this. I came this far" She held her keystone "go!" Ninetales ran to the battle field "mega evolve!" The fire and ice type shines brightly, changing from having 9 tails to 18 tails spiraled in a circle behind her. The fur around her neck thickened, and the hair on her head grew longer. She shook her body before standing in elegance. The crowd roared in excitement. Hau froze at the sight of the powerful looking fox

"W-what is that..?" His jaw dropped in shock

"Don't worry... this won't take long! Ninetales! Flamethrower!"

"Niii!" Ninetale's tails burned black like charcoal and allowed her to shoot out blue flames from her mouth. As soon as the fire went out, it was clear that Hau was sitting on the floor in complete shock while his Pokémon was knocked out

"Whoa..." his eyes sparkled "in just one hit? Awesome! of course I didn't see myself winning... it was still fun!" He jumped on his feet "do I have to say it again? You're so cool!" he shouted with the crowd, jumping up and down in excitement. Selena blushed and walked away to the entrance of the castle, where Kukui waited for her with a big smile on his face in front of four doors to the elite four entrances

"Hey there, champ! Even if you haven't participated in this league before, you are still considered a champion" he shot a thumbs up "I'm excited to see you finally made it. You've came this far. Congratulations" she nodded

"Thank you"

"The elite four challenges is private, so no one can watch you battle against the elite four. Why don't you stay here in the castle for a rest. Tomorrow will be your start on determining if you're suited for being Alola's champion" Selena smiled and looked up at the chandelier on the ceiling

"I'll be more than just champion" she closed her eyes and smiled "I came to accept who I am... I'll do my best"

This WAS going to be my last chapter but it got too long so.. another chapter! Yay! How do you like Ninetale's mega evolution? It's not anything new! It was in the old sequel I deleted a year after I published pink aura! The book is almost done guys! Hang in there!
