It was hard to stop shaking, but there she was... standing in the middle of the beach watching the waves crash into some rocks. The woman giggled by herself while tossing a bag of coins in her hands up and down over and over, enjoying the sounds of them clacking against one another

"This region is really great~" she sang "if only we didn't get separated~ oh... he's so going to get it~!" She sounded serious yet sloppy in her words like she was jolly and drunk. It's the middle of the day, what is she doing!?

"Stupid Blue... I'm going to kill you for abandoning me on this ISLAND!" She shouted at the ocean. The girl's Blastiose came from the ocean for a dip and notice someone behind its master. The girl turned around droopy eyed and confused, with her hair all over the place and messed up from the salty air

"Hello travel goer! Want to play a game?" She giggled. Selena held out Brionne in her arms to face the girl very closely. She didn't even seem to notice "I'm going to flip a coin! If you get the one I'm thinking in my head right, then I'll give you a prize!"

"I don't need a prize" the girl waved

"Oh now now! Don't be silly! Come on!" She flipped a coin and pressed it on the back of her hand "heads or tails?"

"I don't want to play your game" the girl pouted

"Huh? You gotta want something!" She gulped up some of the alcohol she had in her hand "tell me what you want!" Selena glared

"I want you to fucking wake up! Leaf Green! Bubble burst!" Brionne made a large bubble and soaked the girl's white kimono completely. Her green eyes blinked confused before glaring at the one responsible

"What's the big ide-" she froze when noticing Selena "S-Selena..?" Selena sighed and smiled

"You're always the drunk one, huh? Didn't I tell you to stop that? And again with the gambling?" Green pouted and attacked her in a hug, crying loudly like she was dying. She was known to be the crying and dumb drunk, but that didn't mean she didn't know how to use her head

"Oh my Arceus! I can't believe it! You're okay! We've all been so worried!" Selena smiled and returned the hug, though she smelled like she's been drinking a barrel "why didn't you reply to my emails!? Huh?! Huh?!" Selena pushed her away, trying to get this crying girl off her "Selena!! Why!?"

"Green, calm down... your kimono is coming off your shoulder" she looked down at her "idiot! Are you not wearing a bra!?"

"Of course I am!" Green laughed before pausing and looked down at herself "wait... no I'm not" even her blastoise face palmed. There was no helping this girl when she's like this.

"You're fault for being like this in the middle of the day" she levitated the drunk girl and threw her into the ocean. She flew over the surface until Green popped out while spitting out water

"Geez... you are always so extra" She climbed on Blastiose's back "I'm glad nothing changed about you. A lot had happened... you seem a lot better, honestly. There's a glow on you"

"A glow?"

"Yeah! You're beautiful... like always. I really miss you Selena"

"I miss you too, Green" the girl's smiled towards each other. Green was another one of her many friends who did her own thing. Everyone in the group was unique in their own way, and there was Green, who stood out from her little group of friends in Kanto. Yellow was the polite and quiet one, Blue was the cool and serious type, Green was wild and excited, and well... Red "what are you doing here anyways? You said you were with Blue?"

"Yeah! Yellow, Blue, Red, and I are on vacation!" Selena looked down, feeling her heart drop when hearing Red's name

"Red... he's here?" Green stared at her face

"Selena... about Red"

"Yeah?" Green sighed and ran her fingers through her wet hair

"He's been training in the mountains for a long time. We decided to come here so he can feel the sunshine he needs and relax from all that training. I didn't think you'd be here" she looked down "we were planning on being here for him really... he's been having nightmares and hasn't really been the same lately"

"Like Zorua and Zoroark?" Brionne questioned. Ninetales glanced to the side, remembering them acting weird before. Was it nightmares that was bothering them?

"What do you mean? Don't hesitate to tell me everything!" Green nodded

"During your time of your adventure for the pass 2 years, Red's been becoming distant, but often plays it off. It's gotten pretty worse as years went by and that's mainly the reason why he went to the mountain. To get away from everyone"

"But why me? Why is he avoiding me?"

"Don't feel bad about it, he's avoiding everyone. He doesn't talk much anymore and he's serious, unlike the time when he was fun- loving and outgoing. There were times when Blue and I did make him talk. It was only responses of what he wanted to eat" Selena sighed. At least his appetite hasn't changed. It's as big as Hau's really "coming to Alola was a chance for him to relax and not worry about anything. As we arrived... he finally talked"

"What he say?" She looked down

"If Selena didn't go on her adventure, she would had died with Shadow and the rest" Selena flinched, holding her heart in shock "the nightmares were the same with him. Since we've been here, he kept muttering to himself and silently cry in his room. We'd find dry tears on his face the morning after, so that's how we know"

"W-what has Red been seeing..? Has his change really be caused by me?"

"I don't know dear..."

"I have to look for him!" Green shook her head

"Selena, don't. He's here for a reason. If you're the cause of his change, let him go through everything before you see him again. I see you have the trial pendent, so continue on your journey" she giggled "it seems to have done a lot more than that other adventure of yours!" Selena smiled a little

"I've been worried about Red for so long..."

"Yes, I understand. Please feel for him and wish he'll be okay. His nightmares are decreasing, thankfully, so it'll be a matter of time before you see him again. He might not be the same as you last saw him, but he's still your family" Selena nodded, wiping her tears away "there there sweetie, mommy's here" Green stood up on her seat and hugged Selena's head like a mother would when comforting a child "and she's so proud to see you're doing well. You've been through so much. I'm sorry for what happened to the triad... happening so suddenly, I can't imagine the pain" Selena frowned at the water and hugged her back softly

"I'm better now... it still hurts, but I have a way to put my friends in peace. I have to learn to control my powers, and thanks to being here, it's been easier" she closed her eyes "I have a lot of things I have to do here. Toby is in trouble"

"Toby?" Green released her "that's right... he suddenly disappeared"

"Yes... I know Crystal's been worried about him even after they broke up, but he lost his memories. I'm going to help him. As I do that, I want you to take care of Red" Green nodded with a wide grin

"You got it!"

"I'll see you later..." Selena send out Dragonite and surfed away to where she needed to go

"Take care my lovely!" Green waved with the bottle in hand. Oh Green... she never changes. The trip going to Po Town had to be continued. She had to rescue Hau's Pokémon. She doesn't know what really went on between Hau and the grunts, but she knew she had to help him. Plumeria said for her to come alone, so passing through the beautiful path of red flowers, smelling its nectar, was a nice start before something bad can happen

"Look" Selena stopped and looked towards a path the voice was coming from "that path you see... when the day turns into night before your very eyes, I request for you to come here, moone~"

"What's over there..?" She didn't get a respond. This was a new voice who spoke to her. She believes she already spoke to the Tapu of this island back when in the middle of the blizzard, so who was talking to her now?

She shook her head and walked up ahead pass the meadow and arrived at the path on the map on Rotom dex to where Po Town is located. Taking a short walk forward, she flinched when feeling someone staring at her. They seemed angry

Black holes started appearing around her feet "what the!?" She floated in the air, but the black holes appeared in the air around her. She flew off to avoid them, but more kept appearing. This aura that was near by... creating these holes

"So you think you can just run away without telling anyone where you've went!?" The voice of Melissa yelled from behind her. Selena paused and turned around to look at her orange eyed friend

"Melissa?" Melissa didn't look pleased and created more black holes around her "hey! Knock it off! Will you?" Tears started forming in the Lele's eyes "what's wrong..?" She vanished her black holes and ran to hug the flying girl, crying like mad

"You big dummy! I've been tracking you down for the pass 4-5 months! Your styler has been on for some often and it keeps showing up in various parts of the region! What the hell have you been doing!?" Froslass must've been traveling around and teleporting around with the styler so it wouldn't be tracked down to the exact point

"I..." first it was Stevin and Steph, then Toby, Green, then Melissa? Who's next? "Why are you crying?"

"W-well... because I've missed you really, but because I was assigned a mission" Selena's eyes widened "I've been looking for you. I wanted to tell you what I did... I've been told by Darkrai to give Red and a few others nightmares" Ninetales tilted her head confused

"What? You're responsible for Red's change?"

"I was assigned... I had no choice. I'm terrified of Darkrai" Her and Darkrai had a unique relationship. Melissa had the power to sink people into black holes and put them into comas that will grand them nightmares. She can also do it mentally, so she doesn't have to be around anyone to give people horrible dreams. It's a terrifying power to have, but it's not the only power she has. This nightmare power was her main one, and Darkrai always messes with her to do what it wants. A assignment was new though...

"Why were you assigned to do such a thing? What is Red seeing?" She held her shoulders "tell me!" Melissa looked down

"That... I don't know. I don't make the nightmares, I just give it to them. Darkrai has something planned, so I don't know what Red is thinking about" Selena sighed and hugged her "Selena"

"I left all of you without letting any of you know. I was thinking of myself... I didn't even think of how any of you felt. Everyone is worried, but I only ran away. It's not your fault... who knows what our legendaries are planning. It's going to be aright..." Melissa nodded and wiped her tears away

"Sorry I tried attacking you, I was trying to sink you in"

"Not that you could" they giggled

"Right... you're stronger than any of us. It's not going to change. You've been through a lot, haven't you?" That line seems to keep coming back, doesn't it? It'll only remind her how much changed since coming here

"I'm fine. This place is great! I'm learning a lot more than what that adventure did" two Team Skull grunts came towards them

"Yo, you that Lele the boss wanted to see?" One asked. Melissa raised her arm to cover Selena "there's two, which one is it? One can only come"

"Who do you think you are!? Do you know who you're talking to? I am Ranger Melissa! A Pokémon Ranger!"

"Oh?" They didn't seem amused "we suppose to care? We only came for the girl with the pink hair" Melissa pouted, trying to look tough. No one can really take Melissa seriously because of her young appearance. Even if she's much older than Selena was. Bad look for a serious Ranger

"Y-you! I'll show you!" She was about to attack before Selena held her shoulder to make her stop

"This is my business... I have things I have to do with these people"

"But..."

"Don't worry" she sighed

"Alright... I'll wait for you in the police station" Selena waved and followed the grunts to a large wall with other grunts guarding it. They walked through, seeing the once large town turned into a waste land and playground for these guys

"This... looks pretty cool!" She smiled. The grunts looked at each other confused and kept walking, passing through other grunts staring at Selena looking around all curious until they reached a large mansion

"Here's our base" one said

"Cool!" She grinned "not as big as the one back home! But it looks as beaten down as I first found mine!" she laughed "hopefully I don't get angry enough to destroy it with a single snap of my fingers" she smirked towards the grunts, levitating her hair and glowing her eyes "if you hurt my friend's Pokémon, that's exactly what's going to happen" they froze on the spot. She giggled, calming down and walked in on her own.

The inside was a mess. Trash was all over the floors. Gladion was screaming at some grunts to pick things up when a few of them were sleeping on the floor and on couches, ignoring him

"Hey there!" Gladion turned to her confused and jumped when seeing her big elegant Ninetales

"So looks like you got what you were looking for" she nodded happily "that's good. The blizzard is gone finally, so looks like it really was that thing causing it"

"Told you my Ninetales is powerful" he snorted

"Whatever, what are you doing here?"

"I came to claim Hau's Pokémon back!"

"Huh? Did it get stolen? How careless"

"If something happens to it, I'm going to cause trouble" she glanced at Ninetales "make that double" he rolled his eyes and shook his finger side to side

"Not while I'm here. I'm the enforcer, so don't think you can try and do anything while I'm here" she smirked

"Sure" she knows her powers are strong enough to block his disable. He didn't like to admit she could "anyways, show me to your leader, will you?" He crossed his arms

"Battle me" she raised her brow "I know I can beat you this time! Battle me"

"No"

"Why not!?"

"I don't care for battling" Ninetales nodded

"You scared?" She giggled

"Stop trying to convince me. You see how big my Ninetales is?"

"I don't care, let's battle!" Ninetales levitated him off the ground "h-hey!"

"This is wrong timing. If you really want to battle me, take me out" he flinched. She realize what she just said "n-not in that way! I- I mean!" She waved her hands. He chuckled and pocket his hands

"Okay" huh!? "I'll take you out. When I'm done with all this I will"

"What do you mean take out? W-we are talking about the same thing, right?" He shrugged

"Maybe... your majesty" he walked up the stairs "follow me, I shall lead the queen for protection" she glared with a blush and followed him up

"Don't call me that! I'm not really a queen!" He stopped, almost making her bump into him. He turned and looked down at her with his serious black mixed neon green eyes

"Either way, I know that you need protection" she looked confused "you just do, okay? It's hard to explain, but my legendary told me I had to protect you"

"You?" He walked up and faced a door

"Guzma's in here" he walked away

"Wait! You still haven't explain yourself! Tell me!" He smirked her way, still walking away

"Nope" she let out a fume of anger and spun around to face the door. Her face was still burning in red. Just who is this guy?

Ooohhh! What happened there? 😏 lol. Even if Gladion wasn't shown in the mansion in the game, he's a part of the story and I had to. You've met Green and Melissa randomly. Sorry it was random, but it was only a matter of time! Thanks!
