"Selena, are you okay? You haven't said a word since you came here" Lillie frowned as they were shopping around Malie City in Ula'Ula island. Selena can't get what happened in the aether foundation out her head. Lusamine, the ultra beast, Toby... could it be true that Dialga and him don't have a good relationship and forced to erase him memories. She refuses to believe it. There's only two ways to find out. The hard way when having to wait for answers, or the easy way when summoning Dialga with her Adamant Orb

"I'm fine... just thinking about my old friends"

"Do you miss them?" It's hard to admit out loud, but she really does miss everyone. It's come to a point where she's not all that much of a mess anymore when it comes to the lost of her friends. Sure, it still hurts... but it's amazing how time can do to heal one self. She can get the guts to actually reply to everyone's emails, but right now... she still needs to do a few things. One most important thing besides putting the shadow triad in peace, is finding Ninetales

"Yeah... I really do. I'll talk to them on my own time, but I feel like I have to focus on something else" Lillie nodded

"I understand" they reached the library Lillie has been wanting to go to "finally we're here" she put down her shopping bags and stretched her arms "there's a book I want to look for here. You don't mind coming with me, right?"

"Of course not" the library was incredibly large for how small it looked from the outside. There were multiple floors that seemed endless. How are they going to find one book in such a place?

"Where do we even start?" Lillie frowned "I'll ask the receptionist" she walked away. Hapu's aura approached

"Selena, it's been awhile"

"Hey Hapu. Haven't been running into random baths, are you?" Hapu laughed nervously

"Awe, I'm never going to live that down, am I?"

"Nope"

"Fair enough! Seeing you this far, looks like your island challenge is coming along favorably. That must be pleasing to the Tapu"

"I guess it is"

"What you up too?"

"Just traveling around with my friends"

"That's good to hear! I best be on my way. I saw you from afar and wanted to say hi" she waved "see you later, yah?" Selena waved and looked her key stone. Huh... this feeling

"I fount it!" Lillie shouted. Someone shooshed her. Selena smiled and made her way up where she was and found Lillie sitting next to a strange girl that... strangely looked familiar

"Selena! I found it! Well, this nice girl helped me find it!" Lillie smiled, holding up a book. Selena sat across from them. Froslass came around the corner and handed her a book titled 'how to handle sudden news' still haven't spoke about the Pokémon she had, but it'll have to wait... even if she is curious to know why she had it and where she got it from

"This book is very old..." Lillie said, carful with the pages and read to herself the book titled 'The Light of Alola' which was about the island guardians and the beast fighting. Also about a king, but he was from Unova coming to Alola to start over. Selena cupped her eyes. That story is...

"Isn't it great?" The girl said "my dad's books are all great!"

"Yes... it is! But when you say your father... isn't this book very old?" Lillie asked

"Yeah, it belonged to my dad. I know I don't look it, but my family use to be pretty much royalty! We originated from Unova a very long ago after a storm had passed and killed off the princess who everyone had a hard time reaching back in her castle" she waved her arms "oh, silly me. That's not something to randomly blurt out, sorry!" Selena bit her nails nervous

"Melody..?"

"I had to have all my dad's books moved here so they didn't get ruined. Like the one I was talking about, I can tell you lots of other old stories of Alola, too! You interested?"

"Yes" Selena said almost immediately. Maybe... just maybe she can get a hint on who Melody really was. She was a princess? She remembered the story of the royal family of Unova of the twin princes who fought each other for the sake of their black and white sides... truth and ideals

"Splendid!" the girl giggled. Selena checked her watch and stood

"Dang it... I'm suppose to meet Kukui at the bus stop. Sorry, I'll try to catch you another time"

"No problem!"

"You're going to take on your island trial? I hear this island be a electric type trial up route 10" Lillie said

"Thanks for that" the girl waved her hand

"I'm sure we'll see each other again soon! If you're a island challenger, we'll definitely meet again! I'm Acerola, by the way!" Selena bowed to the girl, and went on her way to find the bus stop

"Froslass" she called, waiting by the sign "time to explain yourself" Froslass looked down in shame "where did you get that Pokémon?" She brought back Zoroark in human form to translate. He looked like he just woke up and wasn't happy about it. He listened carefully to what Froslass had to say and laid down after she finished

"Hm... Colgress gave her that Pokémon to give to you" Selena flinched "he wanted to make it a peace offering" Selena took the Pokéball and released what ever was inside. It was that Porygon Z that she saw before on Arcanines back and in the resort

"Po!" Porygon Z cheered and circled around Selena's legs

"Froslass went to investigate the Pokémon without you knowing, in the aether foundation, and found that it's data had been erased so it's a empty drive wanted to make a friend" The Porygon Z floated up to her face and cheered. She couldn't help but think this might be a trick, because this Pokémon was man made and there's no way to artificially bond with it, but... since it's data was erased, they can bond the old fashion way

"I don't know why Colgress decided to give me a Pokémon" she pet its head "but this could be interesting" she thought about what to do with the Pokémon before Team Skull suddenly arrived with their stupid hand gestures. Zoroark quickly jumped up and stood in front of his master, seeming more cautious than usual. In fact, he never seems like that before. He's more aware and almost looked angry

"Zoroark..?" Selena frowned

"What? You never see somebody take a bus stop to go before?" One of them asked

"What's with that face?" Selena peaked over to notice the glare on Zoroarks face. She held his shoulder, tugging him to step back and look at her

"Zoroark. Calm down, it's only Team Skull... why are you acting like this?" He's always so cool and mellow, why is today different? Why is he in his human form more often than usual too?

"Hey yo! You trying to scare us away from our bus stop? Best go find your own, ya heard?" The grunt said. Selena made a face

"What's wrong with you? It's just a bus stop" Zoroark looked at her, wanting to battle "why..?" The grunts already threw out their Pokémon just for the sake of their precious bus stop. Seriously... these guys are ridiculous!

"Yo, be careful man, that's a Lele. Do you see his eyes?" One whispered to the other. He's not a Lele, he's a Pokémon, but they don't have to know that

"Don't touch my master" Zoroark raised his arms to make his claws glow and attack their Pokémon with a punishment.

"Yo man! Chill! Think about the driver! We can all just chill if we got the bus stop! Yah know?" What? "I'm over this. time to go back to living large in the mansion! Let's get out of here!" The grunts ran off. Zoroark sat down and covered his face

"Zoroark... what's gotten into you?" Selena frowned

"I'm sorry.. master" he sniffled "I've been... I've been having these nightmares"

"About what? You know you can tell me" he shook his head and had Froslass take him home. What's wrong..? Kukui walked over just a few minutes later

"Did something go on?" Porygon Z floated around Selena all happily like it's the happiest  thing in the world

"No, everything's fine" she sighed

"I saw Team Skull running pass me. They sure are a trouble! I sure wish they'd challenge the League instead of getting up to no good all the time..."

"The League?" He smiled brightly

"Ho-Ho! You'll find out soon enough! Just you wait, cousin!" She rolled her eyes and waited by the bus stop a bit longer until the bus came along and drove them up the mountain. The view up the mountain was astounding... the higher they went up the mountain, the more Selena started feeling weird about it

Selena hurried off the bus and floated up to the railing to check out another mountain far out in the distance "I can see the excitement!" Kukui laughed "Mount Hokulani is the second tallest mountain in Alola!" Her keystone started glowing. She held it surprised and stared at the mountain in the middle of the air, off the railing. There seem to be construction on the top, but the fog was making it difficult to see anything

"The tallest is what you see there... Mount Lanakila! That's it! Right there! On the peak of Lanakila! That's where I'll establish our Pokémon League" Selena looked at him confused

"You're making a Pokémon League?" He nodded with pride

"It's for the ones who finished their island challenges, they'll get the chance to go up to the peak and battle against the Kahunas to become the island challenge champion!" She crossed her legs, looking back at the peak " i've always valued our old traditions here in Alola, but it's time to make a champion the whole world will recognize" Selena smiled "interested? I want the world to recognize just how amazing our Pokémon can be when becoming world champion"

"Kukui... you're making it too big of a deal. There's no world champion. Only one champion per region" she held her key stone close "I don't care to be champion again... that mountain... it's exactly where I need to go to find her"

"Her?" She nodded with confidence

"My best friend... Ninetales. I know you're out there. I feel you within my heart"

"Hm.." Kukui stared at the peak "I tell you all this... so confident in what may happen, but it may seem only a dream for now"

"Why is that?" He looked disappointed

"A blizzard had been covering the mountain and around. It's as strong as a hurricane and it's just too dangerous for the preparation" Selena floated back to face him "it's been months since being that way. No one knows why the storm has been so bad. Not even the island Kahuna knows" Selena can remember the dream she had with the blizzard surrounding her and Ninetales calling for her. Could there be a sign? Why would Ninetales be all the way over to that mountain? She's a fire type...

"Months huh?" Strange...

"Pika! Chuu!" Pikachu whined while begging for the Electricium Z, the z crystal she got after beating the trial captain or whatever. It was a strange one... but now that she's over it, Selena ignored Pikachu as much as she could while riding the back of Dragonite's back back to Mali Garden where she had to return Professor Kukui's royal mask. That man still pretends like he's not who he says he is, but he can't fool Selena

"Pikachu, quit it" She looked down below at the Mali garden and saw Kukui talking to some grunts and a man with funky looking hair and glasses covering his eyes. She had Dragonite fly there as she overheard everything they were talking about. The grunts didn't seem to like the idea of a Pokémon league for some reason. Kukui stood confident and betted them on a battle at the battle royal.

"Gee, is battling the only solution?" She asked herself

"Looks like it" Zorua said on top of Dragonites head, wagging her tail. The man who called himself Guzma started talking nonsense out loud to the public they were surrounded by, announcing like he was making fun of the idea of a battle in the battle royal.

"Don't get me wrong, though, Kukui. We've got no need for a Pokémon league" it seems like Guzma could never make it to complete his island challenge, or so he says "after all everyone already knows who the strongest trainer is these island!"

"Speak for yourself, it's not like I couldn't become captain. I chose not to. I had other dreams, see?" Kukui responded. Selena dropped his mask on his head, making everyone look up at her staring at them boredly

"Is your dream leaving your stuff where it shouldn't be? Take care of your stuff will you?" He waved

"Selena! Come down! I was just telling this guy my reason to make the Pokémon league" Selena floated down and held her hip with sass

"Ah, is that right?"

"I want to give everybody a chance to be pushed to the limit with their team and find that perfect move" Selena and Zorua looked at each other. Dragonite yawned rather loudly

"That's sweet and all, but I just wanted to return the mask" she admit. He almost fell from her honesty. She knew why he wanted to make a league, there's no telling her why he wanted to do it. It's not important to her... the island challenge is just to make time go faster

"So you're one of the kids on her Island challenge? you don't look like Hala's grandson" Guzma joked. Selena pouted

"What are you? Stupid? I'm a woman for your information" the grunts behind him laughed at her comment

"This is Selena, a rather powerful Lele who just moved to Alola recently" Kukui said "she's not only a powerful Lele, but she's a powerful Pokémon master!" Selena looked bored the entire time. Really, there's other things she rather do than waste her time here "her and her Pokémon can unleash some powerful moves" She held her keystone "so if you think you're the strongest trainer on these islands, Guzma, why don't you battle her?"

"Who said you can decide on that?" She sweat dropped

"Come on Selena, you're making me look bad here" he whispered. She sighed and faced Guzma

"Tch! This is getting me all fired up" Guzma removed his sunglasses, revealing a dark orange color of his eyes and looked at her z-ring. Another Lele who turned to the bad side... huh "you've got a z-ring, huh, kid?"

"What of it?"

"Why even bother with the island challenge? what's the point of it?"

"There is no point of it to me. I'm only doing it to waste time" Kukui face palmed "I don't need to do some island challenge to show me how strong I am. I don't need the z-ring or my keystone. What matters most is that I'm close to my Pokémon and we are one together. If I can get any chance to keep going forward with my Pokémon, I'll do it" he snorted

"Wasting time? That actually leaves me speechless for once. If you think you're that strong, take me on! Want to see what destruction looks like? here it is in human form- it's your boy Guzma!" He laughs loudly and send out his Golisopod to battle for him. Dragonite took the battle and took everything like she could control gravity or something. Selena rolled her eyes and turned her shoulder

"Wha..." Guzma held his head and shouted at himself "Guzma!!! What is wrong with you!? Now is the time for your vaunted team to let loose and destroy everything!" Selena looked at Kukui. He only struggled "it was Selena, right? I'll remember you... mainly because you never give me the chance to call out a move... you'll be someone I'll be happy to beat down anytime" she walked away

"Whatever. This was a waste of my time"

"Selena!" Kukui shouted. Zorua hurried to her side and handed her some kind of new z crystal.

"He wanted to give this to you" Selena took the crystal and pocket it in her bag in a place where pikachu won't try to take it out. She loved shiny things. Traveling to route 12 took awhile on Arcanine, it went down further to a point where the road got really rowdy. It was a perfect timing that Hapu showed up and offered a ride on her Mudsdale

"Thanks again for this ride" Selena said, holding Pikachu on her lap as she played her ukulele. Zorua laid on top of Mudsdale's head, showing no respect towards anyone

"Not a problem pal! I don't want you getting in trouble when going through this road on your own! Although, I see no reason why you would have any problems. I've seen your Pokémon"

"Have you now?" Hapu nodded

"Yes!" The road was quiet for a little while. The soft sound of Pikachu's ukulele filled the air in soothing music "I've met your friend Lillie earlier. She's quite wonderful, but seemed like a handful with getting lost"

"Yes... she does that"

"Seeing her like that made me think of you and want to lend a hand. We're going towards Tapu village for your next trail" Hapu looked around, seeing a light coming from somewhere, and turned over to look at Selena staring at her keystone glowing with a happy smile

"Oh? What you got there? It's mighty pretty"

"My keystone... it only works when I'm synced with one of my Pokémon that holds a mega stone. It allows them to evolve temporarily to take out their full power"

"Wow! Really?" Selena hugged the stone

"I feel my darling... I lost her for a long time. She was my first Pokémon, and I can feel her near"

"Near?" Hapu looked ahead at the fog "I hope your Pokémon is a ice type, because the blizzard that's been going on around the mountain is pretty strong up ahead" Selena looked up ahead to see white fog of ice shadowing their path. Hapu stopped her Mudsdale before they get too close

"I hope you have a coat... it's been hard for anyone to go through that path" Selena floated up and stared at the fog

"Master..." Ninetale's voice spoke in a echo "find me..." Selena nodded and returned her Pokémon before facing Hapu

"She's there... thank you, Hapu" she bowed "wish me luck!" She turned her shoulder and flew forward with Froslass following her towards the blizzard

Ninetales! Finally! It's been so long since she's been in the picture! Yah boy Guzma is a Lele! Haha! Who would of knew? Me. Haha! I enjoyed writing about Guzma. A lot of coincidences are happening and I don't know it until the end. When done with the story, there will be two epilogues and a Easter egg chapter to show you little things you might not have picked up. There will be references in the story I'll also show you and things I was going to put in the story but never did. I'm sure you'll like it, cuz it's gonna be surprising to read them.
