"It's a shame to see you leave already" Hau said to Xavier and Yvonne as they were getting ready to sail back home "its only been a few days and I feel like we've been friends forever!" Yvonne giggled

"Same here. It's so beautiful in this region and what better way to spend it is with some friends! Thanks for seeing us off"

"Make sure you say hello to everyone for me" Selena said

"Of course!" Xavier smiled "but there's just no way I'm going to leave without a battle" he smirked "let's do this like old times" she crossed her arms amused

"Didn't you learned your lesson before?"

"I'm not the same as I use to be" she nodded

"I believe you. You were a real wimp when I first met you in that forest. Crying against a tree while your friends were looking for you" he blushed. Xavier was so distant even towards his friends, all because of the paparazzi traumatizing him as a child after he won the battle tournament in Kalos

"You don't have to remind me of that! Now that I'm champion, I have trainers trying to mess with me, but it wasn't as bad as paparazzi following you trying to take your picture" Lillie shivered

"How scary..." Xavier nodded

"You know you're still wanted by Team Flare?" Yvonne winked. Selena sweat dropped and held her key stone

"You're saying you didn't take care of those fashion disasters? Telling me I had poor fashion sense" she muttered. The two laughed

"No! We're just kidding. We already took care of them loong ago" Yvonne waved her hand

"Just liked I promise" Xavier said, showing Selena his serious expression "I promised that I'd defeat them... they kept messing with you because they thought you stole their Keystone but I knew you were innocent from looking into your eyes. You were considered dangerous from The Wanted posters... but your eyes were kind. I wished you'd stay longer in Kalos, I took care of them as fast as I could, waiting for you to come back" Selena frowned

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to break that promise. I had a lot going for me" she looked down "especially now... I didn't say anything earlier but I lost my friends. And I'm trying to find Ninetales..."

"Selena..." Yvonne came over for a hug "I'm so sorry..."

"It happened a long time ago, don't worry about it" she took a deep breath "I'll go and visit, one of these days. Right now, I have to be here and learn more about the Lele species"

"Of course" Xavier nodded "and I'm sorry for what happened to Ninetales. I hope you find her soon! It was the most incredible Pokémon I've ever seen! Taking that it is the only one of its species to mega evolve!" Selena smiled, feeling proud that she had such a special Ninetales. She had to find her... her first friend and first experience of happiness. When meeting her after she hatched from a egg, That's when she thought that's where she got the gift of bonding

"Thanks" she send out Mawile "but enough about that. Let's battle!" Mawile cheered with its megastone on top of its head around the top of its extra jaw behind it. Xavier smirked and send out his charizard "wow! You got a charizard?"

"You better believe it!" He touched his keystone on his mega ring. Selena nodded and touched her own on her necklace "I'm pumped!"

"Mega evolve!" They yelled at the same time. The battle was long and a intense one. A few citizens came to watch the show. Selena came out victorious and held her hip in confidence. Xavier nodding, accepting his defeat. Hau and Lillie cheered

"Of course... nothing has changed" he smiled

"You've gotten stronger the pass few years. I can see why you're a champion!" Selena smiled "now that I defeated you, does that mean I'm champion for a third time?"

"Don't show off, girl" Yvonne laughed. Selena winked

"That's not how it works, but I'm sure you'll make it if you decided to take on the Kalos league" Xavier said "thanks for the awesome battle" the boat's horn went off, signaling them that it was time to go "it was a nice time being with you again... I really miss you" she blushed at his honesty and smiled "I hope you'll complete your island challenge... you'll do great as always"

"Don't forget to come and visit!" Yvonne waved. The small zygarde on her shoulder squeaked as a goodbye. Xavier walked closer to Selena to give her a kiss on the cheek, surprising her and her friends... mostly Hau

"See you soon... make sure to express yourself a little more" he held her chin and walked away "Bon Voyage... mi amour" the two went up to their boat and sailed away. Selena smiled at the boat disappearing, with her friends next to her

"Do you and Xavier have a thing?" Lillie asked

"Hm? No, he's just one that got attracted by my eyes. Even so... he's a good guy. I'm glad he build up confidence and came out of his shell to come out in public without worrying" Hau stretched his arm and held them behind his head, taking in the sea breeze

"That's cool and all, but that battle was the best I've ever seen! Mega evolution is so cool!" Selena smiled and held her keystone "so what's this about a champion?" She shook her head and walked away. Not worth talking about anything that has to do with a league. Too much to explain

"I think it's time for us to go out separate ways now. I'll see you guys later. Be safe, Lillie" Lillie nodded

"Got it" Selena waved and walked off with Pichu on her head towards the Pokémon center to heal up and maybe take a drink in the cafe. She sat on a chair and soaked in the dream she had last night

Selena stood on top of a still frozen lake, staring at the fog surrounding her. She stared at three figures in it, standing next to who she knew was Suicune, Entai, and Raikou. Those are the legendaries that... created the Shadow Triad

"Guys..?" She frowned. The legendaries made themselves transparent and backed away, letting their children face Selena "is... that really you?" The one in the middle, who she could tell was Shadow, held up some kind of mirror

"What is that..?" She frowned

"Reverse Glass..." their voice was in a echo "find your way back to faraway island" faraway island? Where Mew rest and where she found Manaphy's egg?

"Why..?" She shook her head "guys... I'm sorry for not protecting you! Please forgive me! I know it's you! I feel your aura! Talk to me!" Shadow reached out to her. She tried moving, but her feet were stuck under the ice

"My love..." Shadow's voice called to her. Tear ran down her cheeks

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."

"Reverse glass... find it, your majesty" the triad said together before disappearing into the fog, leaving her pouting from the nickname. They never change. She smiled, staring at nothing before waking up

Selena sighed and went off to explore the new island she was on. She still wondered why the triad kept trying to talk to her in her dreams. They would either say nothing or like before, tell her to get the Reverse Glass they wanted her to get. They also said something about faraway island... That's the place where no one but special people can go to through their dreams in the dream world... wasn't Mew and Celebi talking about that before?

"They're watching over you, so keep that mind open and you'll see them again. I'm sure you'll be able to find a certain item out there... once you found it, give me a call" could Celebi help her find a way to speak to them in the dream world!? Is that where they are!? Oh dear... it's too much to take in. She will probably won't even get that reverse glass anytime soon, so she shook her head and hurried to explore around the island with Pichu playing its toy to calm her nerves down

Selena was sitting on a hay bale with her Eevee, licking its paw, and Brionne. It's been a long day of training with Brionne and now it was time to relax with a glass of Moomoo milk. She hummed a song to herself, not wanting to use lyrics to possibly lure a man that's been hit by her love spell. She wish she can test more of this new power, but didn't want to risk having people mess with her

"Alola... o'e..." she sang softly as possibly while walking the path to route 5 "Alola... o'e..." it's so strange how smooth her voice was. It's strange how a gift can suddenly appear when taking in a first experience. Why won't Mew tell her which experience it was, she's not sure, but she was eager to keep trying it out, loving how the tone of her new voice sounded

"Haha! I lost again" She heard Hau from a distance. She looked up ahead, still walking, and noticed Hau returning his fainted Pokémon after battling a guy with a familiar aura she remembered feeling back in the graveyard. He stood next to that Pokémon she found mysterious... it's the guy that vanished Zorua's illusion and recognized it was one immediately!

Upon further inspection, she noticed his eyes were a shade of a dark grey with a mix of neon green in it. He's a Lele? The color of his eyes reminded her so much of... Hau flinched and turned over to notice Selena standing here, casting a shadow over her face when looking down and letting her hair hide her facial expressions

"Hey Selena, how's it going?" He forced smile, not liking the emotions she was releasing. It was too much at once. She ignored him and continued walking pass them

"You're Selena?" The guy asked, making her stop

"What of it?" She asked without turning. She doesn't want to see his eyes again

"You seem to be more cautious. At least you seem more serious than this brat" Hau laughed

"Awe! Don't be like that! I was taking it seriously! I was seriously enjoying it!" Selena turned a little to look at them

"You can enjoy Pokémon battling when you put everything you have into it... which clearly you haven't"

"You're plenty scary, aren't you? But hey! You're a Lele as well! No need to be so negative! We should all be friends here!" Selena's eyes widened. Hau got chicken skin and turned to Selena terrified. Huh... this encounter reminded her of when her and Shadow first met. He was all smiles when first meeting her and was determined to make friends with her. The guy looked over at her suspicious

"S-Selena..?" Hau gulped. She didn't move, trying to control her shaking body "are you okay?"

"Peachy..." she spoke softly "you... stranger. Who are you?" The guy held his hips

"I'm Gladion. I fight for my partner, Null, to make it stronger. Though most of our time gets used up doing small jobs for Team Skull" her eyes widened even more in horror. Like Shadow when he worked for Team Plasma. Rage started filling her sight as she looked back at the time Ghetsis came and killed her friends. She couldn't see reality anymore

"Selena!" Hau gasped. Gladion flinched at the strange aura feeling, then noticed a few Team Skull grunts approaching

"Yo! Whatcha doing here, boy?" One of them asked "don't have enough back bone to beat these kids?"

"I don't need any help, get out of here" Gladion glared.

"Huh? Are these the kids that's been causing us trouble?" They faced Hau and Selena. Hau nervously laughed and took a step back

"Awe come on! No need to be like that!" He smiled. Gladion crossed his arms annoyed

"Beat it, grunts. I can take care of myself"

"Yeah, leave the homeless kid to do a job right" a grunt laughed. Selena's fist cringed

"Don't waste our time, boy. Just because the boss likes you doesn't mean you're any better than us" Selena held her head, feeling the pain. It's getting too similar to the past... when Shadow worked for Ghetsis, the boss... "if you're not going to do anything about these brats then step aside. We have another job to do that involves stealing that Totom Pokémon. Let's get this job over with" Pichu's and Eevee's ears flinched when hearing Selena begin to giggle

"Pi?" Gladion snapped his head to look at Selena slouching with a large smirk on her face. A bomb went off next to a grunt, surprising all of them

She felt the same power building up in her body like back when she was in N's castle "oh yeah?" She looked up, showing her glowing pink eyeballs. Her hair started floating around her head "are you going to librate them too?"

"What's happening?" Gladion asked

"She's hallucinating!" Hau gasped "Selena! Snap out of it!" He noticed her bracelet broken into pieces around her feet "oh no! The flower!"

"Flower?" Gladion remembered what Lillie told him about having a certain flower being able to put a pause in a Leles powers. This girl with the power... it was unbelievably powerful. She started giggling again

"Oh dear, funny how even after all this time, you still think you can get away with hurting others. Try something" her aura filled the air around them "I dare you" Gladion waved his arms to break the aura, making her hair fall back to place. She dropped her smirk and tilted her head confused "who are you? Why are you helping them?" He flinched "are they making you? Like Colgress did before to the other Leles" she giggled again "don't worry. I can help you" tears ran down her cheeks "I'm not letting one else get hurt... not again!" He tackled her down before her aura could explode, letting her lay there in her own pool of tears. He frowned and glared at the grunts

"I told you to leave! Dammit! Go!" He shouted. Every grunt made a run for it. He cursed under his breath and looked down at the girl crying under him. Hau hurried to gather the Glacidea beads and ran to Selena's side

"Selena! Are you okay?"

"Ee..." Eevee cried on her stomach. She couldn't move. All she could do was lay there and sob, thinking back at the horrible memories that haunted her. Gladion stared for a bit longer before standing up

"I heard you have good Pokémon... that you were really strong with them. Even with your powers. It's unlike anything I had ever seen" he crossed his arms as Hau helped Selena sit up "to have that much power and you can't even control it. I actually fear for you, girl" he shook his head "you'll end up killing yourself if you overdo it. How reckless can you get..? I bet you didn't even have control over your own actions"

"W-who are you..?" She sobbed, staring at the sky since she couldn't move "how were you able to stop my powers..?" He rolled his eyes

"I have the ability to disable any Pokémon or Leles powers. I should be be known for being the strongest Lele in Alola" he smirked a little "until you came along" Hau raised her chin so she can look up "your entire eyes can glow a solid color... mine" he closed his eyes and reopened them, showing the whites of his eyes turn pitch black and his iris glowing neon green "can only do this. Looks like I have some competition, but then again... I don't care for anything else besides my Null" he took out a Poké ball. Eevee glared and stood to take the challenge "I don't care what happened, I want to battle you" Selena closed her eyes, a little amused

"Ah... just like when I take challenges back home. These trainers wouldn't care if I'm in no condition to battle. I was a ghost after all" Hau sweat dropped at the way she said that "fine" she levitated her body to sit up and send out Arcanine to let her lay on his stomach

"Selena, are you sure?" Hau frowned

"Positive" Gladion send out his Pokémon he had back in the graveyard. It was a strange Pokémon... it didn't feel like one. A man made one... it didn't take notice in her eyes. From the design of it, the helmet almost resembled Arcues's body

"So you were that trainer I met in the graveyard"

"Yeah... you looked a lot more alive than you do now" he joked

"You can see in the dark?"

"You're smart" he opened his hand to make a brown light appear and throw it at his null, turning its body a dark brown "Type Null is a type nothing. I can change its type whenever I want" Selena sighed with a smile

"You can change the typing of a Pokémon... you do seem pretty powerful" he shrugged "no matter... it's nothing I haven't seen before" she smirked "Eevee! Transform!" Eevee cheered and transformed into a Espeon on command

"W-what the..?" Gladion flinched, then smacked his lips "whatever..." the battle was a complicated one. He kept changing Null's typing and Eevee kept transforming into the strongest type. He was defeated in a matter of minutes. He glared and looked at his shaky hands

"How annoying!" He returned his partner and ran off before staring at Selena for a moment and disappeared. Selena sighed and relaxed her body, fainting in on Arcanines body

Gladion! Ahh! He's so great! He's my favorite character in Sun and moon next to Lillie and Hau. I try to make Gladion a more unique Lele, for reasons you'll learn later on!
