As they walked around, Selena felt someone near by. She separated from the group without them knowing. She walked through the tall grass and bushes

"Zo zo?" Zorua questioned.

"Shh.. Zorua... someone's near by" she whispered. Zorua nodded. Selena had
to find a trainer abusing his Minccino.

"You useless Pokemon! you couldn't even beat a stupid ghost and her died Pokemon!" the boy yelled kicking the Pokemon in the stomach. He must've lost to Ditto and her Pokemon

"What do you think you're doing?" she asked, walking up to the boy. Zorua jumped out of her arms and next to her feet.

"It's none of your business! Get lost, you witch!" he yelled kicking the poor Minccino again. It cried in pain. She took off her glasses revealing her rare colored eyes, glaring at him

He fell back "you're ...the g-ghost... agh.." he yelp in pain holding his chest. She didn't seem to noticed and continued to glare. he started sweating. His insides felt like they were tearing apart.

Zorua started to bark, She couldn't hear. he yelled in pain "Selena!" Hugh yelled, coming out of nowhere. She snapped out of her thoughts and noticed the boy in pain.

Her eyes widened. She picked up the Minccino, not taking her eyes off the boyz She couldn't have done that? Could she? the boy finally calmed down, breathing heavily

"You-you stupid ghost!" he yelled before running away. She looked down at the fainted Minccino.

"I knew you were that ghost! you were faking, weren't you!" Hugh glared, angrily. She didn't say anything, she felt dizzy

"Selena?" Shadow had found her with Hugh. "what's going on?" he asked. Everyone caught up with him.

"We... we have to heal this..this.. Mincci-" She had fallen backwards fainting. Shadow had used his super speed to catch her.

"What happened?" Rosa asked

"I-I don't know. I had saw a trainer that was abusing the Minccino she's holding, then before I could reach him and stop him. Selena came in... she... she was hurting him... I don't know how, but... I don't know... but she was loosing control... she couldn't even hear Pokemom..." he said

Shadow nodded and headed to the Pokemon center with everyone

Selena woke up in a empty room. Her clothes were changed. What happened?

Zorua had jumped up on her lap, scaring the life out of her. Zorua still had her eyes closed. She greeted Selena with a giggle and tail wag

"Where is everyone?" she asked. Zorua looked at the door and back to her. They were outside waiting for her to wake up.

"Zorua..?" Zorua tilted her head "we are alone now, wanna open your eyes?" she asked. Zorua had moved her ears to sense if anyone was around. the coast was clear

She had opened her eyes slowly... revealing beautiful golden colored eyes. Zoruas usually have blue eyes, but this specific one had rare gold ones...

Zorua looked into Selena's eyes for the first time. She felt the warmness and power in the color. She jumped into her arms to hug her. She hugged her back. There was a knock on the door

Nurse joy came in with a big pink Pokemon. She covered her eyes. "it's okay, I have already seen it. I'll keep your secret" she winked. how did she know? well... being a nurse... she had to know what was wrong with a patient.

"Where is everyone?" Selena asked

"They are waiting for you to wake up, but first I need to check your temperature and other things" Nurse Joy had checked her temperature to see that it was normal, looked into her eyes with a bright light, and checked her movements

"Okay, just stay here for a couple of minutes, I'll go get your friends" she smiled closing the door with the pink Pokemon.

"I would just hurry and get the hell out of here... but already knowing you, Shadow. You won't let me" Selena said. He appeared right next to her. he sat on the bed.

"You okay?" she nodded, looking away "What happened?"

"I... I don't know... once I glared at that boy, my mind went completely blank... after that... I felt dizzy and everything blacked out..." she said. he placed her hair behind her ear, making her blush

"I freaked out after you fainted... I thought I almost lost you.." he said. her eyes widened, sending chills down her spin. What's wrong with him? They only just met! Even so... what was she feeling? and why did she like it?

"Zo!" Zorua called. Shadow looked at her unusual gold eyes

"Wow... they're golden... special... like yours" Shadow smiled. She blushed more. Everyone came in a rush

"Selena! are you o- oh? Did we disturb something?" Bianca asked. Shadow shot up from the bed

"N-no! of course not!" he said. Why was he red?

"Oh Selena, I'm glad you're ok" Rosa said, sitting by her. Selena softly smiled

"Check out those eyes, they're... well... beautiful!" Nate said

"Nate, you have yancy" Rosa said

"I know, I'm just stating a fact" he laughed

"Hugh told us about you, but don't worry, we won't judge. I think it's amazing how you manage to trick so many challengers to believe you're a ghost" Cheren smiled. Hugh walked in with a Minccino on his shoulder. It was the same one that Selena rescued

Minccino jumped on her lap next to Zorua looking into her eyes. It absolutely fell in love with them. It had hugged her and climb onto her shoulder

"I'm glad that you're better" she smiled. Minccino returned her smiled

"I'm sorry.. I'm just upset that you beat me in the battle in the mansion... once I saw you... I knew it was you... but I wasn't sure... sorry" Hugh apologized, looking away. Everyone's eyes widened at his change of behavior.

"It's okay..." She smiled lightly "when can I get out?"

"Right now if you want. Here is a new set of cloths" Bianca said, putting new cloths on the bed "Hope you like them!"

After everyone left the roomc she put on a plain black shirt, rose pink shorts, black and pink wristlets, white running shoes and a white and pink beanie, and left the room with Zorua and Minccino to look for her friends.

"You look gorgeous!" Rosa awed

"Stunning" Cheren nodded

"Adorable!" Bianca giggled

"Nice" Nate shot a thumbs up

"Cool" Hugh mumbled

"Beautiful" Shadow said

Hearing the complements, Selena blushed wishing they weren't staring at her. They're just clothes...

"What shall we do next?" Bianca asked everyone

"Do you mind if I go see...my mom..?" Selena asked shyly

"No problem. We'll meet you in the next city! See you later!" the group waved, walking away. Shadow and Selena were left alone in her hometown

"Do you regret coming along?" he grinned

"Shut up.." she blushed. They walked till they stopped in front of her once home. She was nervous. She hasn't seen her mom in 3 years. Being that long away from home could set her in a angry mood

"Want me to go in with you?" Shadow asked.

"S-sure..." her voice cracked. He chuckled and knocked the front door for her

"Who is it?" a woman asked from behind the door. Selena froze hearing her voice. He held her hand

"Its okay, I'm here" he smiled. She calmed down a bit. Zorua was on her shoulder while Minccino was on his.

A middle aged woman with dark brown hair opened the door with a Natu on her head. The woman froze for a moment before starting to cry as soon as she saw Selena. Natu chirped happily

"Selena? is..that you?" She gasped. Selena sighed and smiled nervously

"Yes mom, it's s not a Ditto" she joked, sarcastically. Mom had rushed to squeeze the life out of her daughter. She couldn't breath, but returned the hug anyways

"Where have you been??" she asked, letting go

"Around, by myself and my Pokémon" she admit

"Oh sweetheart... I'm sorry... I shouldn't have tried to change you... you're perfect the way you are.." she smiled, finally noticing Shadow "who's this?"

"My..friend.." she said slowly, not believing that she actually had a friend, especially someone like him

"You have a friend!!?? my Arceus! Nice to meet you! I'm sorry for not noticing you! I'm Selena's mom! but of course you know!" mom said quickly, shaking his hand excitedly. he chuckled

"Its a pleasure ma'am" he bowed

"So much respect! Selena, is he your boyfriend?" mom asked

"I don't even know what that is" she sweat dropped

"Right right, I forgot. well, would you like to come in?"

"Actually, some other friends are waiting for us at the next city" Selena said

"More friends?? How wonderful! well go now! have fun! make sure to visit soon!"

"I will" Selena smiled softly

"I can't remember the last time you smiled... maybe running away from home wasn't so bad. You've changed into a beautiful young lady. Have you seen your father yet?"

"I have"

"Did he give you the pokemon?"

"Yes..."

"Great! make sure to let it out only when you need it"

"Ok... well see you later, mom" Selena walked away with Shadow

"Good bye! and nice meeting you, young man!" she yelled. He waved bye.

"She's nice. No hug?" he asked

"I don't hug, just my Pokemon" she admitted

"Ahh, I see" he lifted his head.

"What?"

"Oh nothing" he sang. She rolled her eyes. They had went up to Virbank city. He seemed sad when they arrived, but shook it off.

Rosa had begged Selena to challenge the gym leader Roxie "I don't need more badges." Selena said

"I know! but I wanna see you in action again! can you battle with Zoroark next?" she begged. Selena sighed in defeat. Rosa cheered, and ran towards the gym with everyone

"So you want to challenge Roxie again?" a band member asked Rosa

"Nope! but my friend would!" Rosa pointed at Selena

"Rosa, I am now the strongest gym leader in Unova! you expect me to battle a beginner that just earned a basic badge? she has no chance, she should just skip to Burgh in Castelia city" Roxie said, throwing her pale grayish blond hair, back

"That's hard to believe, you don't look like much" Selena said crossing her arms. Everyone scurried away, knowing what's going to happen

Roxie turned red in anger stomping her way towards Selena "excuse me! care to put your foot where your mouth is?! you'll regret telling me that!" she shouted in her face

Selena's face was blank. she then yawned. "all talk, but no action"

"Fine! I accept your challenge! 3 against 2! if you're all strong, You wouldn't mind using less Pokemon then me!" Selena accept her challenge, shrugging her shoulders

She send out Zoroark. Transformed as a Minccino from its illusion. Zorua barked happily seeing her dad. Roxie send out Koffing.

"A weak little Minccino? you must be kidding! Koffing! use gyro ball!" Roxie ordered. Selena fluttered her eyelashes from something in her eye

"Koffing?" Koffing hesitated, looking at Selena's eyes

"What are you doing! go!" Roxie yelled,
the Koffing had created a silver ball and threw it at 'Minccino'

'Minccino' had dodged it easily. Selena grinned "nice try! use shadow claw!" she ordered. 'Minccino's claws had turned purple making the koffing faint in one hit

"What!!?? thats not possible!!" Roxie gasped. She shook it off and grabbed her electric guitar. strumming it to burst the speakers almost making everyone deaf. "I'll show you who's stronger!" she hissed, releasing her Garbodor

"Garb..?" Garbodor also hesitated, looking into her eyes blinking rapidly this time. What's in her eye?

"Focus! Garb! use gunk shot!" she yelled through the microphone. Garbodor had critical hit 'minccino'. he had transformed back to Zoroark. He dropped down in pain. Zorua barked

"It was a Zoroark huh? let's finish this one! use double slap!"

"Return!" Selena ordered before Garbodor prepared its attack. Roxie grind her teeth in anger

"Go Froslass!" The ghost-ice pokemon roared a battle cry "use blizzard!" the gym was filled with cold wind and snow. Everyone shivered, except for Selena and Shadow. Roxie failed to give a order due to how cold she was.

"Use ominous wild!" she ordered. the purple wind covered the cold wind. The junk pokemon had fainted. the wind calmed down

"You brat! agh!!!" Roxie screamed

'This girl always had anger issues..' Rosa thought, leaning on Biancas shoulder. Everyone was so into the battle

Roxie had send out her last Pokemon. Scolipede. Scolipede, like the rest of the Pokemon had hesitated when seeing Selena's eyes

"Come on Scolipede! use hyper beam!" Roxie ordered. Scolipede shook its head "what?! obey me!" the pokemon shook its head again. it had ran towards Selena and hugged her with it's body

"Huh???" Roxie wrinkled her forehead. Selena smiled playing with the big bug Pokemon "what's going on..?" Roxie asked calming down finally. Everyone had walked up to Scolipede and Selena

"Scolipede... why did you not listen to me..?" the bug type had gave her a guilty look

"Pokemon just love me for some reason every time they look at me..." Selena explained petting its head. Roxie sighed

"Well... looks like you've won. the battle was originally 2 on 2, but my angry managed to go an extra Pokemon. Here, you've earned the toxic badge" Roxie handed the toxic badge.

Selena grabbed the badge and observed its purple circles "Congrats Selena! Your second badge" Nate jumped like a kid. Shadow petted her head. she turned away blushing

"Sorry about my behavior" it was the second time someone had shouted at Selena. she gave up and forgave her. The teens had exit the gym all together. Two xtransceiver went off

"Hello?" Rosa picked up

"Hello?" Cheren picked up.

5 minutes had pass.

"I gotta go back to the gym! my students need me! See you later guys! And Selena! good luck if you continue the journey!"

"Oh! I'll go with you!" Bianca said. The two ran away back to Aspertia city

"He... left?" Selena felt... sad to see her friends actually leaving

"I gotta go too! I have to shoot a movie back in the pokestar studio! Nate, we have to go! Bye Selena! Bye Shadow! see you soon! let's all meet back in Castelia city tomorrow!" Rosa and Nate had ran away to the north side of the city.

"Yeah, I'm off to late night training. I demand a rematch next time we meet, Selena" Hugh said, running away to the forest

Selena frowned in disappointment "they all left..? but... today was so much fun.." she admitted

"Yeah, but it's getting late. I should take you home" Shadow smiled.

"Is this what it's like to be with... friends..?" she asked, looking at his grey eyes. He smiled

"Its a great feeling... I'll take you home now" Shadow had took her, and her 2 new Pokemon back to the mansion

"Want me to pick you up in the morning? we are going to go to Castelia city to get your next badge, if thats okay with you?" she thought about it

"Thanks Shadow... I would like that.." she smiled. he smiled back, disappearing
