"Why don't we have lunch?" Cheren asked everyone. They all nodded. Selena felt like she forgot something. Zoroark came out.

"Zo! zo!" Zoroark panicked.

"What is it zo?" she asked. She quickly remembered about the egg

"I-I gotta go!" she said. Shadow put zoroark in his ball "hey!" she yelled

"I'll take you, so that you wont stay there and not come back" he winked and appeared back to her home.

Everyone was surrounding the egg on the couch. Zoroark came out and ran towards the egg. Selena followed, taking off her dark glasses

The egg was shaking slightly. Pretty soon, it glowed. The light shunned everyone, making everyone look away.

"Zoru!" the baby Pokemon cheered with its eyes closed.

"Hello Zrua! I'm Selena! Nice to finally meet you!" she smiled. Zorua smiled not opening its eyes. "why wont you open your eyes?"

Zorua pouted, trying to open its eyes, but it couldn't. She picked it up. She couldn't leave it alone, not in this situation

"Don't worry... I'll take care of you... and this is your father, Zoroark!" she said handing him Zorua. Zoroark held it like a baby. Zorua giggled at Zoroark tickling its belly with its nose.

"Let's head back" Shadow said. She looked at him

"Why? what was the point of all that? You've wasted my time!" She argued

"Wasted your time? What else could you be doing?" he asked. She went silent, she had nothing else better to do... she did actually enjoy being with actual people for once

"Come on, let's have some fun. They are having lunch, and I can tell you haven't probably ate human food in a while" he said. That did sound nice. Her last human meal was before she left home. She ate nothing but berries usually.

"Fine, but don't expect me to make friends with them!" she hissed, he chuckled. Selena had started walking when she dropped the thunderstone. She stared at it on the floor

"Maybe you can use this on eevee" Shadow suggested. Eevee had escaped her ball without warning. It smiled up to everyone. Selena placed the stone in front of her

Eevee looked down on the stone and sniffed it. she tilted her head confused before she started playing with it like it was a toy. Strange thing was that she wasn't evolving

"What's going on?" Selena asked

"A Pokemon should evolve if it's able to with a stone automatically, but for some reason, this eevee didn't. Well Miss Selena, you have a very special Eevee in your hands" he laughed

She looked at Eevee playing with the stone. "okay Eevee...lets go, we are going to hang out with Shadow's friends" she sighed. Eevee gasped surprised that Selena actually was going to be with people

"I know, terrible, but Shadow is being annoying, so let's just go, but they can't see you" Eevee nodded and went back inside her ball.

"But wait, I cant leave, what if people come in? if I'm not here, who will protect the mansion and my pokemon?" she asked herself out loud. and thats when Ditto came out and transformed into Selena. It was perfect.

"Ditto! You can keep the house safe! You can use Umbreon, Vaporeon, and the rest to battle everyone, will that be okay?" Ditto nodded, smiling

Shadow was surprise to see two Selenas in one room. Zoroark gave Zorua to her and went back in his ball. Zorua pouted that it couldn't open its eyes. She comforted it, calming it down in her arms

"Ready?" he smiled. She put on her dark glasses nodding with a blank expression, and teleported her and Zorua to the look out north of Aspertia city. Where Rosa, Cheren, Hugh and two other trainers were having a picnic

"Guys! Over here!" Rosa called. Shadow and Selena walked down and sat down, putting Zorua on her lap

"Hey guys! These are our other friends. Nate and Bianca, Nate is a trainer and Bianca is professor J's assistant" Rosa informed

"Hello! nice to meet you! Rosa told me so much about you! I heard you beat Cheren's Samurott! that's impressive!" she giggled

Selena was already getting a headache from her high pitch voice "Hey, I'm Nate! don't worry, Bianca is a little annoying, but you'll get use to it, but honestly, I still havent gotten over it" he laughed, making Bianca slap his arm

Selena giggled "did you just laugh?" Shadow asked, surprise

"No." she said with a straight face, hiding the truth

"You sure..?" he asked. she nodded. he shrugged his shoulders. Cheren handed them food

"Here! Please enjoy! Rosa made it especially for everyone!" Rosa blushed, embarrassed

"Uh.." Selena could feel her mouth water. Zorua sniffed the air. It had jumped off her lap and jumped on everyone's shoulder, making everyone drop their food

Zorua pouted wishing it could see. Selena quickly picked it up and calmed it "is that youre Zorua? whats wrong with it?" Cheren asked, cleaning himself from the food dropped on him

"Sorry everyone... uh... um.." Selena felt shy, having to apologize for the first time in her life. "it can't open it's eyes ever since it hatch back at my...home"

"Really? let's see" Cheren took Zorua and placed it in front of him, taking out a first-aid kit from the basket

"Oh Cheren, you are always repaired, aren't you?" Bianca sighed

"Better safe than sorry" he said taking out wipes and rubbed Zorua's eyes. Zorua started crying. Selena had to sit close to Cheren to calm it. She felt weird being close to someone. besides Shadow... wait what? being with Shadow was still weird!

"Its okay Zorua... stay calm" she said. It had settled down. After a few minutes of medication, Zorua was getting better. It had refused to open it's eyes in front of everyone, wanting to see Selena alone.

"There, she's fixed, although I have no idea why she won't open her eyes yet" Cheren said

"I don't know... but... uh... thanks.." she looked away, seeing Shadow smiling at her. She cant help but blush.

"Aw.. I really wanted to see Zorua's eyes and welcome her into the world!" Rosa pouted. Nate flicked on her nose playfully. She took off his hat and slapped him with it playfully.

"Why don't you take those glasses off" Hugh hissed staring at Selena. Everyone stared at him.

"Now that he mentioned it, why don't you take them off?" Nate asked. Selena didn't say anything

"Its too bright, she came from the eye doctor not too long ago" Shadow lied. Eye doctor? Really?

"Why don't you cut the crap, stop talking for her! she can talk, can she? Why doesn't she take off those-" Rosa had slapped his cheeks making him look away

"Knock it off Hugh! You need to calm down! You have no right to tell her what to do! You don't know her! Its Selena's choice if she wants to take them off or not! You can be so clueless sometimes!" she snapped. Hugh ran away. she sighed "he'll never change... I'm sorry Selena.." she frowned

"I-its ok.." Selena stuttered. Someone had fought for her... it felt nice, but it also felt bad..

"Well, why don't we go for a walk?" Bianca said, trying to lighten the mood. They all nodded and started to walk towards route 19.

They had talked about different things. Talking about their past travels and defeating team plasma. Selena had felt good inside, to have people that talked to her like a person. They actually cared about what she says

Bianca squealed, jumping up and down, pointing in front of her "Oh goodness! it's Lunick! the worlds top ranger! And his minun!" She ran up to him. Everyone followed behind, except Selena

"H-hi! Can I have your autograph!?" Bianca yelled, taking out her notepad.

"A fan, I see" he laughed. He finished signing the book and looked at the other trainers, finally stopping at Selena pocketing her hands casually

"Selena? is that you??" he asked, excited. She looked at him in the eye, and turned away again

"Hey dad" she said with a blank face. He had run up and hugged her. She smiled and hugged him back. Everyone was confused and shocked

"Selena... the world's top ranger is your father???" Bianca jumped everywhere

"I am, and who are you all?" he asked, letting go of his daughter

"We are her friends" Rosa explained. Selena sweat dropped

"Friends? you have friends, Selena?" He asked. everyone narrowed their eyes

"Excuse me? if that anyway to talk to your daughter??" Cheren asked, bitterly

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it in that way" he smiled "its just...when Selena was young... she would always lock herself in her room, refusing to meet new people. Her mom said the only time she would leave her room was to eat and to see me. I only come twice a year..." everyone pitied the story

Selena looked away, trying not to cry "I'm glad she has friends that she could talk to. Thank you everyone" everyone smiled. He tried his best to reach Selena's height.

"I haven't seen you in 3 years... I'm glad you're well and healthy. It's been awhile since I got the chance to do this. Here, as always, I want to give you a Pokemon" her eyes sparkled "Make sure to open it only when you really need it. I want you to be surprised" he said, handing her a Poké ball. She took it, trying not to drop Zorua from her hands.

"Thanks dad..." she half smiled. "I hope to see you soon. Please try to visit mom once in a while. She misses you.." She didn't say anything. He knew she wouldn't, and kissed her forehead

"I gotta go! love you baby girl! Hope to see you soon!" he said running off. She smiled, waving goodbye. She didn't really have anything against her family. She just always preferred to be alone. She might take up on his offer and go and visit mom.

She looked at everyone, noticing their guilts on their faces "what are you staring at?" they ran up to hug her. They knew alittle more about their new friend. For people she just met, she enjoyed having them with her. Maybe... having friends wasn't so bad
