Weighing my disbelief at this sudden turn of events and my fate of running from Wooloo's for weeks on end while I waited for someone else to endorse me, I reached out and snatched the endorsement card from Drew's hand.

"Hey! That's no fun," Drew frowned, reaching out to take the card back but I swiftly jumped away.

"You asked if I want it and I obviously do. Were you planning to just taunt me with it?" I asked with a cocked eyebrow. Drew frowned slightly and I felt a little guilty so I smiled and held it up slightly.

"Thank you very much. I'm going to challenge the gym right now!" I said with a quick bow as excitement rushed through me. Finally! I can start the gym challenge and prove I have what it takes to be a serious trainer! I thought, turning and running in the direction of the gigantic gym stadium.

"I don't even get a hug?" Drew asked as I hurried through the hole in the fence, taking a mental note to come back and find whoever owned it so I could pay them for the damage.

"Hugging guys is not in my repertoire," I called over my shoulder with a grimace as I thought of my ex and how clingy I had been with him since I thought he liked it.

"Well.. good luck with your battle," Drew said, looking disappointed. I waved at him happily as I ran down the path.

"Thanks again!

Bum bum bum. Long story short, she doesn't bump into Drew again and Sayuri goes on to do really well in the gym challenge, completely content to spend her days training alone with her pokemon.
