Fangirl overload! (Contestshipping)

"OMG! Is that Drew? The famous coordinator?!" High pitched squeals sounded through the air, reaching a particular coordinator's ears.

"Uh oh..." Drew cursed under his breath, running out of the Pokémon center as fast as he could. However, about 3.3 seconds later, he heard 'a thundering pack of Tauros' at his heals, threatening to run him over.

"What's up with all these fangirls..." he continued running, looking behind him to analyze his situation. Apparently, there was a group of around 20 fangirls chasing after him, more of them joining in from time to time.

Just then, a sharp pain ran through his head as he crashed into an unknown someone, falling onto the floor. What now?

"Drew!" A familiar voice called out. Opening his eyes and rubbing his head, he was greeted with the sight of a certain brunette. May.

Looking up and behind his rival, he saw even more fangirls running in their direction.

"Fancy meeting you here Drew..." May started talking before being hurriedly pulled up to her feet and dragged away by her rival.

"Whoa! What's that for?" She protested to be cut off by her rival.

"Talk later, run first!" Drew stated and the two of them started running away from the fangirls once more.

"Sorry!" May panted. "I kind of got distracted..." she apologized to him.

"Well, it looks like we've somehow found ourselves in the same problem..." he muttered as they continued running.

"Are they still chasing us?" May asked about 10 minutes later, causing Drew to look behind him. However, before he could get a good look at their predicament, he felt himself crash into something... no... Someone once more.

"Harley!" He heard May exclaim.

"Oh Drewbae! You're running away with your girlfriend?! How sweet!" The overgrown cactus grinned widely at the two young coordinations.

"Yes. We've running away Harley and if you've any sense in your head, you would too. Also, she is not my girlfriend." Drew sweat dropped, about to continue running away from the fangirls with May only to be blocked by smug-looking Harley.

"Ah! How sweet! Denial! The first stage of LOVVVVV—" Harley singed, only to be pushed aside by May and Drew.

"Hey! What was that for—" Harley gasped, suddenly seeing the dreaded fangirls running towards him. "Ok... it looks like I've got myself in a prickle... RUN!!!"

Harley ran off, unknowingly redirecting half of the fangirls away from May and Drew. In this case, however, Drew would definitely be glad that he had stole some of his thunder.

The two continued onwards, however the relentless wave of affection behind them attempted to sweep them off their feet... that was until Drew felt himself being grabbed and pulled by May. The very next moment, he found himself on the floor, face to face with an angry piplup that threatened to peck his nose off.

"Pip! Piplup!" The piplup waved its wings around wildly, seemingly complaining about how it nearly got squashed by an overgrown plant.

"Sorry about that..." Drew apologized to the piplup. The piplup, seemingly satisfied, looked away from him in anger, slowly waddling back to its trainer who was helping May to her feet.

"Sorry about that May," the blue-haired girl apologized. "I just saw the pickle the two of you were in and decided that I had to help out."

May shook her head. "I should be thanking you Dawn. Me and Drew were in a really tight spot earlier."

"Ah, so that's your boyfriend." Dawn teased, winking at May. Drew sweat dropped, not knowing what to say.

"Dawn! We're not a couple!" May protested, earning a couple of giggles from Dawn. "Yea, sure. You totally didn't freak out over the drowning incident on that island full of wynaut."

"Dawn! Wait... how did you know that?" May questioned

"Season 8, episode 21... oh never mind." The blue-haired coordinator replied.

"Dawn!"

"Ok ok... I'm just teasing." Dawn replied. "Now, we have to get back to the matter at hand. The two of you need disguises. Those fangirls may be gone for now, but they would be back really soon. Come with me."

The two Hoenn coordinators followed, not having much of a choice.

"Dawn you haven't told me how you know about that!" May protested.

"Shhh... you don't want the fangirls to find you... do you May?" Came the reply.

"..."
————————
An infinity of finding good disguises including Steven stone and Cynthia cosplays later:

"Ummm... May? Must I really wear this?" Drew tugged on the red tie he was wearing, not feeling particularly comfortable in the formal clothing he was wearing.

"For goodness sake Drew! You're supposed to wear formal clothing in Sinnoh contests!" Dawn sighed. "You mean you haven't?"

"Uh..."

"Besides." May continued cheerfully. "We would have to disguise ourselves from those fangirls."

"But still..." Drew continued tugging on his tie. "Geez... what did I get myself into? Why is this tie so uncomfortable..."

"Come on Drew! It's not that bad! Goodness May! Is he always this naggy?" Dawn sighed.

"Umm... not usually... he's pretty stubborn though." May replied.

"Isn't that the same thing..."

Dawn stopped talking as the three of them heard the thundering footsteps behind them getting closer.

"Here!" May quickly dumped a top hat onto Drew's head, covering his green hair that would have been a dead giveaway.

"Gotta go! Good luck May!" Dawn quickly ran away, not wanting to have any business with the fangirls as well.

"Dawn!" May called out in slight annoyance, sighing slightly when Dawn ran out of her area of view

Soon enough, the crowd reached May and Drew, making them hold their breaths. The two were sweating under all the clothing, hoping that their disguises would pull through.

One of the people at the front of the crowd looked around, her gaze soon landing on the two coordinators. The blonde-haired girl started inspecting them closely, making Drew feel himself feel nervous as he prayed to arceus that  his real identity would remain a secret.

"Have you seen two young coordinators here? They have brown and green hair respectively." She finally asked, her brown eyes still locked on the two coordinators. "Their names are May and Drew and we're looking for them."

Well, who knew people could be so blind. Drew thought to himself, nearly letting away a telltale sigh of relief.

"Ummm... they went... that way!" May and Drew both pointed in different directions, causing the fangirls to get suspicious.

"Hmmm... are you sure that you're not them yourselves?" Another one of the fangirls grew closer, also inspecting their prey. Drew gulped, willing his brain to think of a plan, fast.

"Oh umm... The brunette girl went that way!" Drew pointed once more, hoping that May would have enough sense to understand what he was doing and play along with him.

"Oh yea! Right!" May continued. "And the green haired boy went that way!" She pointed in the direction she had pointed once more, making Drew relax slightly. Well... at least she had managed to play along.

"Oh..." the two fangirls sighed. The rest of the group murmuring among themselves.

"CONTESTSHIPPERS!" One of the fangirls at the back shouted. "WE SHALL FIND THEM IN TWO GROUPS AND MEET UP WITH THE OTHER GROUP LATER! THE CONSESTSHIPPING SHIP MUST SAIL ON!" The group of fangirls screeched and broke up into two groups, running off in two different directions. Unbeknownst to them, they left behind a slightly dazed May and Drew who were wondering what to do next.

"Phew... that was close..." May commented. "I swear Pokémon logic is weird, you just put on a hat and no one knows who you are anymore."

"Well, I don't know about that" Drew replied. "but I guess the disguises do work after all."

"Yea! Dawn's brilliant! You really should battle her someday."

"Perhaps." Drew answered. "I still don't exactly like these clothes though. Also, wearing two pieces of clothing could make you feel very hot."

"Come on! Don't be a spoilsport! You actually look kind of cute in that..." May blushed. Realizing what she had just said.

"Umm... what?" Drew replied as the two of them started blushing furiously.

Meanwhile, Solidad and Harley were hidden in a nearby bush, bush taking a ton of photos to add to Coordinator's weekly.

"Denial! The first stage of L.O.V.E!" Harley sang, accidentally catching the attentions of May and Drew.

"HARLEY?!"

"Oops." The cactus replied. Solidad nearly cursed but caught herself on time.

"SOLIDAD?!" The two coordinations exclaimed out of shock.

"See y'all later children! Me and Solidad have a picture to submit to Coordinations Weekly. Byeeeeee!" Harley sang, him and Solidad attempting to flee from the two blushing teens who were sure to murder them if they catch up.

However, none of them noticed the author, who had secretly caught most of the action on camera.

The end.

It's been a long time since I've posted and I know that this is quite a short update so I'll like to apologize for that. Still, this book wouldn't be updated that frequently.

In case anyone is wondering, yep. I'm ending the chapter right there. Also, I hope that there aren't too many typos. Those pesky things never seem to leave my works. See you guys in the next part!
