Dear Misty,

Hey, Mist. It's been awhile, sorry I haven't contacted you, I've been super busy with my training.

But I want you to know that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you.

I miss you so so much. How long has it been since Brock, you and I traveled together?

I don't know, it feels like a billion years for me though.

I really want to say thank you Misty, for always being there for me. For fishing me out of the lake, when I caught my first Pokemon (even though you hated caterpie), being there when I won my first badge, when I won my first competition, Tracey, and so many other things.

Sometimes I wonder if your bike wasn't returned, would we still be traveling with one another?

Pikachu really misses you, by the way. Maybe you could come out and visit, or I could go to your gym. I'm going to be in Johto soon, I'm really excited!!

Oh, also, how's the gym doing? I'm sure you're a great leader, know that I am proud of you, Misty.

Narrator POV

Despite how much Ash really wanted to send his letter, he knew the highest thought Misty had of him was that he's a semi-goodpokemon trainer that still hasn't matured. He really wanted to send the letter, but did not want to make a fool of himself.

Ash, why don't you write, or call anymore? I really miss you...

Anyway, how's life?

I really want to plan to see you again so we can catch up on everything. I want to hear all about your travels, your friends, your successes, your failures, all of it.

Why does it seem like forever since we traveled with Brock?

I really miss those days, and Brock's cooking.

How's my Pikapal doing? You have done such an amazing job with training Pikachu, he is a really great Pokemon. Just like your others, but your electric mouse will forever be my favorite.

Guess who I ran into the other day?!?? TRACEY!! It was so good to see him, we walked around and talked for awhile. He said he was heading to Johto for something for Professor Oak.

Speaking of Oak, Gary finally calmed down, and found a really nice girl. Her name is Leaf.

I'm not sure what else to write, so this is goodbye for now. I hope to see you soon, Ash.

Narrator POV

Misty paced back and forth, in front of the mailbox, contemplating if she should send the letter to Ash Ketchum. She was scared she sounded too desperate, and she did not want to interrupt any wonderful life he might have right now, traveling with his new friends.

Misty turned around, and went straight back to the gym. Where she proceeded to her room, putting the letter on her desk, and never touching it again.
