Let me just simply tell you this. If you haven't watched Sun and Moon ep.21, GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW! It's too emotional for a kid show 😭. I can't believe I actually cried for that Anime series. So this oneshot is all about it!

Just another morning in Alola, with Ash was buying stuffs with the lazy owl, Rowlett and "Serena in disguise" Rockruff, along with Rotom Dex. He accidentally dropped the donut, but luckily a nice old lady picked it up

"Alola! I believe this is yours, young man" The lady handed it to him, but someone took it away. It was Litten, the stubborn fire cat.

"Hey Litten! We meet again!" Ash cheerfully said to Litten, but he just ran away, making Ash and the rest follow him

The cat leaded Ash and his gang to a bridge, where Litten and his teacher, the dog Pokemon, Stoutland. Litten gave the donut to Stoutland, like a student gave an apple to his teacher. He was trying to learn the move Fire Fang.

After Litten almost broke his teeth for Fire Fang-ing a coconut, Ash came down to meet them, and he was impressed because of Litten and Stoutland. At this time, some leaves on a tree started falling down

The next morning of Alola, Ash and his partner (in crime) Pikachu decided to see Litten, when Team Rocket was about to stop them. Well, "about to". The whole team started burning, and went out of the fire was Litten. He started pulling Ash's leg, trying to tell him something was emergency. When Ash started following Litten, Meowth, Litten's rival, started to get worried.

When they reached Litten's place, Stoutland was there, but he looked like he was very weak. Ash tried to carry it with all of his strength, but Meowth, who was hiding outside, couldn't do anything but feeling terrible for Litten

At the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy started checking the old Stoutland, with Litten kept saying his own name, like he was worried about his teacher, his mentor. As Nurse Joy walked out, Litten ran in and climbed on Stoutland's bed, looking at his teacher's face.

"Ash, I need to tell you something about that Stoutland" Nurse Joy told Ash, and soon the door automatically closed. She was telling something that made Ash worried

"Does Litten know about this?" Ash asked

"I think he is"

That evening, Ash and his Pokemon went to see Stoutland again, only to realize both of him and Litten was missing. They went to Litten's place, hoping to find them there

Meanwhile, Litten practiced Fire Fang again, but his attempt failed (maybe because he used a rock that time). Litten then climbed on Stoutland's bed, with his teacher let out some weak cough. He took a sleep, and in his dream, he saw Stoutland, but he became further and further away from Litten. He woke up and realized something. Stoutland was nowhere to be seen.

He looked for him everywhere. The abandoned mansion, the market,... Usually he'd steal a fruit or a snack, but he didn't this time

At this time, Ash still on his way, but he got blocked by Meowth. As Pikachu prepared to attack, Meowth only said one thing:

"Litten is getting better and stronger. But he needs to be protected." And with that, Meowth went away. Look like Meowth still felt painful for his rival. It was a side that we didn't see from him

Back to Litten, he went back to his place in defeat. He couldn't find out where Stoutland was. At that time, the tree started falling more leaves.

(Before we reached the next part, this is what I think. In a book I've read before (The Last Leaf, I think), the character who was ill said this: "When that last leaf falls, I'll be gone from this world" Now, read the next part. You'll see)

Litten was lying on the old sofa, Stoutland's bed, when the sofa started to collapse. After that, the last leaf on that tree fell. And that was when Litten had to accept the truth

His teacher, his mentor, the one he truly admired, Stoutland... was no longer... in this world...

Litten started crying his name, like he was calling his mentor, as Ash and Professor Kukui witnessed the scene. It was raining, but the rains was like Litten's tears. The tears of pain, when you lose someone you love.

Litten was depressed. The truth was certainly too painful to accept. He didn't eat anything. This wasn't the cheerful Litten we always saw. It was a depressing image. Ash and even Meowth tried to help, but they couldn't ease Litten's pain.

But after all, after the rain, the sky will shine.

Litten woke up, when the last leaf on the bed started flying outside, like it wanted to show the cat pokemon something. He went out and looked up the sky. There was a rainbow, but there was something else. The clouds shaped into Stoutland, who was smiling at Litten, telling him not to worry, as he was doing okay in the better world.

Littten smiled again, the smile blew away all the depressions he had for days.

Ash walked outside and saw Litten, who was holding a pear in his mouth. Surprisingly, he offered Ash the pear, but he gave him back. They both passed the pear a couple of times, until Pikachu fainted because of that. Poor Pikachu

After that, Ash told Litten to become his friend (aka become his slave and stay forever in the pokeball) but Litten fired a fireball on Ash's face

"Stupid idiot. He was asking to battle to test his skill. That twerp still doesn't understand" Meowth, who was standing on the bridge, sighed

The battle ended after Litten managed to get up when Pikachu swung him to the wall.

"Litten, let's be friend from now on!" Ash said and Litten smiled back. The cat knew it was time for him to move on. Ash threw the pokeball on the air and Litten used his paws to tap it, made the Pokeball captured him.

One... two... three... *poof*. The sound showed that Litten was captured. Ash released Litten, his new Pokemon, his new sla- I mean new partner. The cat started to cry cheerfully, with Meowth felt happy for his rival

"I'm glad to see that, Litten. But since we're enemies from now on, we won't have mercy on you" Meowth said, but didn't forget to smile at Litten, then he left, leaving his rival, his happy rival

For Litten, he didn't feel lonely. Because he'd got a new family.

A little confession here. When I watched that episode, I saw myself in Litten. I used to be depressed as him when I found out my pet dog, my best friend, gone. But I soon found something meaningful in life and became myself again

Now, about this episode. This is the BEST Sun and Moon episode I've ever seen so far. This Anime series finally proved that it still has something that is better than XY. From now on I'll pay more attention on this series. I believe this series still has some potentials.

Also, after this episode, I think there will be a new shipping in the future: Meowth x Litten. What would be the name for it?
