I got too many mistakes in this. This is the final result

For those you aren't, I would recommend watch it now! Or at least just watch like 4 or 5 episodes

Steven Universe isn't just a kid show. Like Pokemon and some other anime, it has a very deep meaning inside it.

Look, just read this oneshot, you'll understand why.

This oneshot is based on an episode called "Mr Greg" if you want to find the original

Oh yeah, don't comment like "I hate Calem" or "Calem, eat my buses". I will make Calem a good guy to fit in the oneshot

It was a very dark day. Lots of people were gathering in a funeral. Ash, Calem, Clemont, Bonnie, Dawn, May,... all were sad because of one thing

That day... was Serena's funeral

*flashback*

It was 3 days ago. The gang was walking past a burning house. Firefighters were gathering around, trying to extinguish the fire. The family inside was stucked. The parents managed to get out, but they forgot their toddler inside, who was crying desperately.

Serena couldn't just look at it. "I'm going in!" She said with her determination

"No, Serena. It's dangerous!" Calem, her husband, stopped her

"I have to, Calem. The firefighters might not get there in time." Serena gave a peck on Calem's lips, then ran to the house. She climbed on the nearby light post and jumped in the room where the baby was inside.

"Please be safe..." Calem prayed. Serena picked up the toddler, then she gave the toddler to the firefighters who managed to get there. She was about to follow the firefighters when a flame wall blocked her just in time they ran out the door. She then looked at the windows, suddenly, it shut and locked. Serena grabbed a wooden stick nearby and tried to break the glass, but it didn't.

The fire became stronger, surrounded Serena. "I guess this is the end, right?" Serena thought, tried to hold back her tears. Then the floor started to crumble and about to collapse. "Goodbye, Calem, good bye, Ash" Serena let out a last smile before the floor and the roof collapsed. Her group couldn't believe their eyes. All the girls started crying, while the boys, especially Calem and Ash, tried to hold their tears but they can't

Serena... had sacrificed... herself....

*end of flashback*

Back to the funeral, Calem was clenching his fist, with his son, Pierre, held his arm in tears

"Why, Serena? Why did you have to do that?" Calem mumbled in tears

But the saddest of all was Ash. He covered his face with his hat, but tears could be seen from his cheeks. The truth is Ash has a crush on Serena. He wanted to become her boyfriend and her husband, but he was too shy to confess. What he didn't know was Serena also had a crush on him, too. She tried to give him like thousands hints, but he didn't know. Ash totally regretted. He was too dense to know.

The whole team slept in Calem's mansion. All the girls slept in one room, while some of the boys slept separately with Ash and Calem. Calem knew Serena was meant to be something to Ash, so he decided to sleep with him. Ash, in the opposite, didn't like Calem. He didn't talk or even look at Calem's face. Calem of course knew this, but he tried everything. All he could do was that.

Pierre was also sad from his mom's loss. But he felt warm when he had Ash. Ash acted like a mother to Pierre, to comfort him and make he feel less pain without his mother's love. He also wanted to sleep with Ash, the one he considered as his mom (This... is weird)

Most people drifted to sleep, but not Ash. He couldn't sleep from the funeral. He kept thinking about Serena, about his indeterminate decision. He walked out the balcony and thought

"Serena... I'm such a fool, aren't I. I should have at least confessed to you. Now, you're gone. What will I do now?"

Ash then sang a song he listened before in a film, the song described all his feeling

Ash could feel the pain in his chest, just like a 1000 degree knife cut through his chest, but he continued singing

Petty and dull, with the nerve to doubt her
What does it matter? It's already done
Now I've got to be there for her son

With the last word of the song, Ash covered his face amd started crying, the tears he had tried too hard to keep in

He turned his back in his room, and he saw Calem, who was sitting on the bed.

"Oh, Calem, y-you're awake" Ash said but Calem didn't answer back. After a minute of silence. Calem stood up

"You're right, Ash. It's over, isn't it?" Calem said, didn't look at Ash's face

"Calem, I-" Ash got cut off

"Ash, I need some time, alone" Calem walked to the door, leaving Ash who was stunned and bowed his head, hiding his tears
