Finally, back to this oneshot book thingy. This is the idea I've been keeping in my mind for so long. Make sure to read it until the end, so I'll talk about my future plan.

"Arghh, more housework to do..." The honey blond girl named Serena stretched her arms as a sign of stress. She had to work too much that she rarely had any free time. She grabbed a broom and was about to start sweeping, when her phone made lots of notification sounds.

"Oh, it's just my friends wishing me have a happy birthday..." She said when she turned on her phone. Thanks to Facebook, people and friends could remember their friends' birthdays, so Serena wasn't surprised about this.

However, she sighed sadly and looked up to the ceiling. "I wish Ash had some times to celebrate my birthday with me" She said.

Ash Ketchum, her boyfriend, had stayed at her apartment since they started dating. However, he hardly had times for her. Ash is a policeman, but he has to stay at his workplace until weekends, in case he has to chase criminals at night. He can stay at home, but only about 3 hours or at weekends.

Although they were dating, they hadn't gone out for dinner or just simply a walk in the park. Serena knew about this, but she had never thought about breaking up with him because she had her reason for that.

"Oh well... I shouldn't ask him too much. His job... already gives him a lot of stress..." she said and started doing her housework

Meanwhile, Ash and his partner, Calem, were leaving their workplace. It was Friday, so they could go home and enjoy the rest of the week

"The city is peaceful once again, right Ash?" Calem said and turned to Ash, who was thinking about something

"Oi! Ash! Ash Ketchup!" Calem said while shaking Ash, earned his attention

"Huh? Oh Calem. Sorry. You know... stucking in some thoughts..." Ash said awkwardly, and was about to go home. "Well... see you next week, I guess" He chuckled slightly, but Calem knew what he was thinking

"It's about your girlfriend's birthday, isn't it?" Calem said

"How could you know?" Ash asked

"Facebook told me that" Calem tried to make a joke, but Ash didn't even smile

"Look, man. I think from now on you won't be able to spend times with her. I know she has never told you this, but she's probably very disappointed. But I have a solution" Calem said, making Ash turned back to see him, raised his eyebrows

"Break up with her. It will be best for both of you" Calem said

"Calem, I... I don't know..." Ash said worriedly

"Dude, you need to do that. She will have a better life. No offense, by the way. You can stay at my apartment if you want to" Calem said, making Ash think about the show which had a bunch of gay ice skaters. But he putted what he had to do at first

"I will, Calem. For the sake of her" Ash said and walked home

Serena was cooking dinner when she heard the opening sound of the door. She walked out of the kitchen to see her policeman, her boyfriend, Ash Ketchum, walking in

"Ashy, you're home! How was your work?" She ran to him and helped him putted out his jacket, hung it on the hook on the wall. However, she could see a worrying expression on his face

"Ash, what's wrong? You got kicked in the butt by some criminals or something?" Serena asked while checking his jeans to see if he was having any mark. Ash started to sigh saidly and faced her

"Serena, dear. I need to talk about something... with you" Ash took a deep breath and said

"Yes?"

"Let's break up" Ash said

Serena didn't believe what she just heard. She heard that loud and clear: break up. She was about to scold him when she saw he was facing the ground sadly. It seemed like he had a reason, a reasonable one, and she could feel it was a bad one. She leaded him to their living room, sat on the sofa and signaled him to sit with her, which he agreed. Ash sat on it but he faced a different direction from her

"Why, Ash? Why do you want to break up with me?" Serena asked softly, but there was no response from him

"Just say it. I'll listen" She said, then he started talking about it

"It's just... since we started dating, I hadn't had any time for you. Most of the weekends I just used them for relaxation. I don't know how you feel, but I think you're just disappointed for having such a jerk like me" Ash said, and he started sobbing. "I don't deserve to have you. You totally deserve someone else. So I think this is the best... for you" He said and kept crying

Serena was speechless. It was also her fault for not telling him about her feeling.

"Ash..." she managed to say, but Ash shook his head

"What's alos terrible about me that I can't do anything for you today, your birthday! I remember when you gave me a small party on my birthday. Do you know why I cried on that day? I cried because I know I can't do the same to you. I'm sorry, S-Serena..." He said sadly with tears pouring out from his eyes. Suddenly, he felt a familiar hand on his shoulder. Serena turned him around, forced him to face her

"Ash... I also have something to ask." Serena said then took a deep breath. "Do you... love me?"

Ash couldn't say anything for this question. However, he managed to speak out, although it hurted him a lot

"Yes... I love you so much..." Ash said and cried louder

"Ash... I love you, too" Serena said and wiped his tears, making him confused

"Look, Ash, do you know why I chose you to be my boyfriend? That's because I can see you with your brave heart. I mean, you've faced countless dangerous criminals, right? That's what I need from a boyfriend. I need a protection." Serena said. "About why I celebrated your birthday, it's because I wanted to do something for you. I thought you deserved something like that after a hard-working week, although it was just a small one"

Ash heard what she said, making more tears drop from his eyes to the sofa

"Ash, I don't mind if you can't spend times with me. Why do you think you don't care anything about me? You're always by my side, and you even remember my birthday without the help from Facebook. But most importantly, you never leave me or do anything terrible to me" Serena said to her crying boyfriend

"Serena, I can't promise you that I'll always make you happy. I was selfish today by wanting to break up. I know this is going to be a sad and hard life. So... are... are you sure you're okay with someone like me?" Ash said while wiping his tears

"Ash... that sounded like a proposal" Serena said while blushing

"N-No, i-it's not!" Ash panicked, while Serena tried to calm him down

"It's okay, Ash" Serena said "I know you'll continue doing your job from now on. But if there is a time when I'm unhappy, I want you to be with me so we can work this out. If so, I'll be more than happy" Then she let out a small grin at his boyfriend

Ash felt happy this time. He understood that Serena didn't hate him, hate him for his job, for not care about her. He couldn't control his emotion anymore. He started to cry again and hug his girlfriend

"Thank you, Serena. Thank you..." He said while crying in happiness in the crook of her neck. Serena was shocked from the hug, but she hugged back with a small blush on her face and patted Ash's back, telling him it was okay. However, Ash pulled back from the hug and turned away from her again

"But what about your birthday? I really want to do something for you" Ash said sadly, but Serena made him face her and putted her hands on his shoulders

"Ash, you silly. We can celebrate it tomorrow. We can watch a movie or something else at home. I'll make some popcorn" Serena giggled and stood up from the sofa. "Now wait here, I'll make some dinner, okay Ash? Ash?"

She turned around and saw her boyfriend sleeping on the sofa with some small snore (Just kidding. His snore sounded like a thunderstorm, at least). She giggled at the sight and gave him a peck on his forehead, but she smelt something weird from the kitchen

'Eh? Something is... burning...' She thought in her mind and realized what was it

"OH NO! THE BACONS!"

Annnnd that's a wrap up for this oneshot. This is the first one since I'm done with my test. So, as I said above, this is my plan

I'm gonna continue on Robotics and try to end it before July (but not in a rush). But this is more important. After one of the book, The Volt of Depression or Robotics end, I'll publish a new Amour one. This book will be nothing but humorous inside it. Right now Volt of Depression is going to reach the ending, so just wait.
