Back to the age of war, when all the men were scared to step in the battlefield, women took over. And one of those brave women was the commander of an army

"MOVE IT! WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME!" The female commander shouted. She had a short honey blond hair, but what was fascinating that her hair still so soft after all the smokes and dusts from the battlefield

She commanded an army full of men, whom she described as "the scared cockroaches", especially one soldier.

His name was Ash Ketchum, a rookie of that army. He couldn't even carry his gun or run fast. He just like an obstacle to Serena. Anytime Serena saw him like that, she just shouted at him like "You need more improvement" or "Who are you? A cockroach?"

This hurted Ash's feeling a lot. However, he somehow found Serena... attractive. She had the strength of a strong woman, with a beauty of an angel. She always brought a shotgun to the battlefield, so that was why people called her "angel with a shotgun"

Ash wanted to be strong, not only to win the war, but also he dreamed of protecting Serena. Every time he kept dreaming of him and her as a couple, which was kind of weird but he loved it. And quite lucky for him, one faithful day changed it

One time just in the battlefield, Serena was busy commanding her own troop, without noticing a bullet flying toward her neck. Ash noticed it, but he was flinched and didn't know what to do. He only got 5 seconds to think. And just in time, he did the unthinkable. He jumped forward and protectec Serena from the bullet. She didn't know anything, until she turned back and saw a male soldier lying behind her, with his blood straining arm. The bullet went straight in his arm, but luckily not his chest.

"Retreat! NOW!" Serena shouted at her troop, while the other soldiers carried Ash.

A few hours later, Ash woke up. He didn't remember what happened. What he saw was his arm wrapped in bandage, with someone sitting next to him

"Oh, you're awake?" An angelic voice came from next to him. He soon realized where that voice came from. It was Serena's. But before he knew it, she grabbed his collar and lifted him up

"WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING FOOLISH LIKE THAT?! YOU COULD HAVE GOT YOURSELF KILLED!" Serena shouted at him, but he could see her red eyes. Seemed like she was crying. He didn't know she also had her soft spot of a woman

"COME ON! ANSWER ME!" Serena shouted, and Ash didn't hesitate

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!" Ash shouted back, but covered his mouth and blushed

"What did you say?"

"There was a bullet... coming straight to your neck. I had to block it, because I love you, that's why"

Ash said something like his last word and squeezed his eyes, waiting for a punishment. But what he felt was a pair of soft lips of his cheek. He opened his eyes and blushed harder. Serena was kissing him on the cheek

"Thank you, but please, don't do anything like that, again" Serena smiled at him, which he saw it beautiful. It was a smile from a tough woman, a smile from a strong commander

"Yes, commander" Ash said

"Just call me Serena" - Serena said softly - "You've proved you're not a cockroach like any of the other soldiers are"

Ash smiled when he heard her compliment, or at least it sounded like that. Finally, before any men, he had stolen the heart... from an angel with a shotgun
