Chapter 46: Bells•

"Yes, this is where we welcome Ho-Oh" Zuki had said, staring at the statue with her sisters all taking their place around that statue in the middle "when the dance we practiced for many days becomes one with the sound of the Clear Bell we entrusted to you, then Ho-Oh shall come down from the great arch of the sky once again!" I took out the glowing Clear Bell from my bag, taken by Naoko's Espeon's psychic powers.

It raised above our heads at the same time the girls took their places to start their dance. At that moment, red leaves around the surrounding areas started to fall around us. The very dance each girl dancer matched perfectly to the sound the bell was making. The sudden melody had a interesting melody to it, which was the same melody my dad played to me before.

Other bells could be heard from around the building. Something in the sky started shining orange... I started imagining the paintings my dad use to show me of a real sunset... A white silhouette had appeared from over the clouds and flew through fog to expose a glorious shining red, orange, and pink sky with a shining orb hovering in the horizon, surrounding us with rainbows I never thought were real. The now black silhouette had made a crying noise as it soared through the sky, making me remember a memory I had blocked out a long time ago.

My family holds pride in our memories and is really good at remembering what's the most important. I didn't remember this up until this point, but I have seen this Pokémon not only once, but twice...

The first time was when I was just old enough to start walking, and the second time was when I was outside my old house playing with my Pichu and there it was, flying through the sky soon before I was called and informed a storm was coming soon. For a Pokémon who offers luck, I only got "lucky" to be alive instead of my parents.

The shining Pokémon had flew around the tower a few times, glittering the feathers that matched perfectly to the one I had stored in my bag. It rested on top of the statue and stared out at the sky. The sight was magnificent... It brought tears to my eyes.

"You are said to be the Pokémon to bring eternal happiness to those who lay eyes on you, but it confuses me till this day to understand how I was considered lucky if I had to lose my parents in that storm" I said "You appeared before me twice, before I had the chance to understand. I was destined to be born, but why did I have to live alone for so long?"

"Valerie" Zuki faced me "So many have tried and tried, only to fail summoning the guardian of the sky. Your heart and the Clear Bell in harmony have finally made it appear..." I kept my eyes on Ho-oh.

"I don't know what's in harmony about it... all I feel is pain" I lowered my expression "Pain from the luck I was given to give to those around me... yet it couldn't save my parents"

"Valerie... Don't you see?" Naoko said "Ho-Oh gave you the luck to give so much more than just your parents. The master of the Bell Tower had spoke many words of this day, but one thing that you have to understand was if that day never happened, you wouldn't be standing here today"

"Your parents may have died" Sayo said "But they live on in your heart and watch you grow from the struggles you've faced. It's all written in stone, and even if it hurts so much to lose a parent..." the girls frowned at each other when she said that part "We move into a life we enter that we wouldn't have chosen if they were still around. It's hard to say if that life in our dreams could be better, but losing someone is the part of growing up. You've face hardships and found people who are grateful for your help. We may have lost our parents, but I don't regret the life I have now since they left" I looked at Sayo holding her heart "Don't you love everyone you became close with in this journey?"

"I do" I looked down "I already got my revenge on those who hurt my family. Why would I take it out on a legendary bird?" I sighed "It didn't make the storm... It just made me sad that this expectation of luck had hurt me to believe I could bring luck to those around me. My parents had me, and their smiles are burned into my memory. I don't regret the life I made now. I just wish my luck could had saved them" Ho-Oh stared down at me "You gave me a life I love now... I have so many people who support and cares for me. I wouldn't have them or my team if you didn't save me from the burning... Some luck that is, but it's life changing" I smiled "I'm sure my parents are watching me under the sky you made so grand. It's truly something my dad wanted to see..." I smiled at the beautiful sky and then looked down again. "I have nothing else to do here..." I turned my back and walked away.

"Your journey had brought the shine back to our skies..." Miki said, staring at the colored sky that looked more colorful than before "What a beautiful sight..."

"How lucky we are to be alive right now..."

"I relish this moment to be the most honorable..." Naoko said. I looked up at Ho-Oh still staring at me before spreading its wide wings and soar back into the skies once again. The feather I held in my hands had glowed much brighter than before, turning it into a shiny gold color that shined as beautifully as the sun. This may be its way of telling me something. I'll take that as my luck and was about to take out Togekiss for a ride before Ho-Oh came back flying around and grabbed me by the back of my shirt with its beak and threw me into the air to catch me onto its back. I had silently panicked the whole time and looked at myself sitting on top of a legendary.

I looked at the kimono girls cheering me on and waving. I smiled and leaned over to get closer to Ho Ohs head.

"My journey is coming close to an end soon. I need to rest up for the next day that will take me to the next step that will settle me to know where I will stand in life from now on. Will you take me home?" It flew off in a random direction without responding. A bit faster than the ride Togekiss would had given me, I was raised above the clouds and taken back home.

I send out Togekiss and jumped off Ho-Oh to land on her back. She brought me closer to Ho-Oh's face and I got the chance to stroke it's beak.

"Maybe you are lucky after all, I just blamed the luck you gave me. I'm sorry I was so hard on you" it cooed roughly "How many can say they got to ride on the back of a legendary Pokémon?" It looked at the feather I still had in my hand "Will I be able to see you again?" It turned to fly away. I smiled and got Togekiss to take me to the ground level, where I was home after being out all day "What a strange day" I stretched "It seemed like the sun had been out longer than usual" I looked up at the sky "I never seen the sky so clear before" the stars above me was more clearer and visible "To think... The sky was what that master meant when he said but peace will fall to our land by Ho-Oh in the tower" I held my chin "Didn't Miki say that? We can't tell for sure what he really said" I shrugged "I do know one thing... The sky is more clear, and I get to see a clearer path in front of me"

*

I walked around town instead of staying home like I should be doing. I changed from my normal clothes to my dancing dress that softly flew in the cool winds of winter. I stood in the middle of the silent open field and danced under the moonlight with no music at all. I dance through the rhythm of what my head provided me to keep a open mind as I danced my night away. I might be needing sleep, but dancing is my peace maker and it's always nice to get to dance with the winds before going to sleep.

A few eyes had watched me, but I didn't care enough to stop. I lifted my arm to the sky, spun around with the winds, and lifted my leg to follow the trails of happiness I've been following for awhile. Before, my dance was faked in the club, but it later became filled with sorrow, and finally happiness. I came a long way... and I regret nothing and will only learn from the mistakes I've made. My journey is almost over.

The night grew older and I decided to call it a night. I went to bed with the golden feather next to me and closed my eyes for a peaceful night sleep... until my dreams started appearing.

I had fell from a high hole in the ceiling and was gently placed on the old stone floor. My surroundings were dark, but my Dratini had shined the way and stayed on my shoulder while I decided to look around the mysterious place I came into.

It was very eerie and strange writings were all around the walls. With every step I took, there was no noise at all. The dead silence was enough to make someone go crazy.

"Where am I?" I asked myself, walking up to a random wall that caught my attention. There was a four legged creature standing on its hind legs with a sort of ring around its stomach or something. It had seemed to feel superior while strange letters had circled around it.

"What is this?" I placed my hand on it, seeing a flashing image of this superior Pokémon in action and flying through the pit of nothingness. A light had appeared from where it flew towards, and soon became a solid image of a person, though I couldn't see their face.

"May I take care of the other children?" The person asked the superior floating in front of her. In not even a second, three large eggs had appeared before her and all was bright in the world when the superior started making the land.

I removed my hand and looked around the strange place I was put into. I continued walking until I could find myself another wall that caught my interest.

There had been many hallways with various statues watching me walk. It wasn't in my best interest in the dream, even though if I were to stand here in real life, it probably would had creeped me out.

Every wall had many wordings I didn't understand, but they compared similar to the alphabet I did know about. When I tried making out a word, the letters had changed around to make it impossible for me to understand. I gave up trying to look at every wall and continued walking until I could find the purpose of why I was brought here.

I don't have dreams often, and when I do have dreams, they're always blank with nothing to see. This had been the first time in a long time that I actually got to see something.

At the end of the hallway, there stood a large wall with a tall naked woman reaching out to the sky at the superior creature in the top middle of the wall while multiple other shapes of different Pokémon had surrounded the woman.

I kneeled down to read the lettering on the very bottom that was underneath a Pokémon with ominous wings. I tried my best to make out the letters, and the most I got was...

"Mother of... " I compared the letters to the alphabet I knew about and made out very little from the little light I had "I think... Mother of legends..?" My surroundings had changed drastically into an ominous sky with a purple haze. I stood on top of a rock platform floating midair with nothing else around. Though from a distance, I saw a waterfall falling upwards.

"So weird..." I said to myself, looking for Dratini. She was gone and I had Zorua with me, staring at the sea of nothingness I was first facing. A ball of empty energy had slowly came down from above. I reached out to take it and looked at my hands, seeing them covered in what looked like ink.

"What is..." I stared at the ball of energy before getting swept away into a new place, staring down at a blue ball and a pink ball of light. Pichu was balanced on my head. I turned around at a whimpering and saw a yellow ball of light floating there, crying towards me. It was hard to know if it was looking at me, but its cries were deep and heart breaking. It was the sort of sound I can hear through an egg. I reached out to take it into my arms and hugged it, calming it's sobbing.

"There there..." the blue and pink light had came up to rest on my legs while I hugged the yellow light that soon became black again "You'll be just fine..." I was placed into the sky, staring at its bright color while dozens of colored lights had floated around me. My Clefable was floating beside me, watching the lights dance around me.

The superior Pokémon had came down from the clouds and approached me. I had reached out to pet it's head, but before I could, I lost the invisible floor under my feet and started falling downward, staring up at the Pokémon and lights staring down at me. The yellow color that was with me when I was with the pink and blue colors was nowhere to be found. There were different shades of yellow around, but that specific light wasn't here to see me off when I was forced to live on land all alone. Why am I seeing this..? Why was I forced away from every light who cried for me. The dream had showed me that I was the one that took care of all those lights, but why must I be forced away from them all? Who's story is this?

Togekiss had showed up out of nowhere and safely placed me on the grass, where my new Eeveelution was waiting for me. I went down to pet it's head and looked around at the field I was taken to.

Someone's hands gently wrapped from behind me, touching a bump I had on my stomach. I quickly turned around and saw no one there, but I did see a small village starting to be build. Many of the people without faces had took notice in me and offered me their welcoming hands. I reached out to take them and found myself on a boat in the ocean with my Seal swimming in the waves. When I got to the middle of the waters where I saw nothing in the horizon, I stood up and knew what I wanted to do.

I stood up, shakily, trying not to fall, and lifted my hands in the air to send out a prayer. What I wished for came true, and I stood in a field of crops with Meganium by my side.

My work in this dream had been nothing but staring at the world starting to grow on its own. The human population had started to grow and more Pokémon had started appearing in the wild. I watched it all beautifully become one until I stared down at a grave with many... many children crying into it, to a woman in a long white dress with shining purplelish silver hair resting in her coffin.

"There's so much more..." someone told me. I turned to see the exact woman I saw in the coffin, facing me with a transparent body "There's so much more you must do..."

"You're... also the one I saw in the wall back in those dark hallways" she floated pass me. I looked around a large room and saw that I was standing on top of a triangle platform with three circles on every corner, indicating something.

"Why am I here?" A familiar cry was heard. I looked around at a specific circle and saw the black ball of energy floating there "You..." it continued to cry "Don't cry... It'll be alright" instead of reaching out to comfort it's crying, I found myself dancing on this stage. Doing so made many colorful balls of light appear before me. I continued to dance until my vision became dark, and I woke up in my room the next morning...

Remember readers! Dreams are weird and random! And it's why part of this chapter was all over the place!
