Ultra space gets a major expansion in Novic with new areas, a fast travel system, hub worlds, and an expanded Ultra Megalopolis.

- New areas -

Many of the new and some old UBs who haven't had their home-worlds shown are visitable. Even though you do get a Poipole as a gift pokemon, they can also be found in the wild along with it's evolved form.

-Warp ride changes-

In order to access Ultra Space, you need to use the Ultra Warp Ride. This is unlocked once the player obtains Nopperko and has been registered into the Hall of Fame.

Galasklisk and Omuraapy can be used alongside Solagleo and Lunala to access Ultra Space. Depending on which duo you use, you will be able to access certain areas.

You can change your Ride Pokémon by speaking with Vega (for Galasklisk/Omurrapy) and Phyco (For Lunala/Solgaleo).

- Hub Worlds-

Sometimes you'll come across these large areas when traveling to an Ultra Beast home world. These areas are known as Hubs and are home to grass patches where you can find Pokémon (no Ultra Beasts though) and trainers. Some of them have shops or an NPC who will heal your Pokémon.

There is a hub variation of each Ultra beast home world and these can be accessed at anytime once you find them (you will not encounter the same hub a second time once you discover one).

Hubs can be found by entering Silver Ultra Wormholes. These wormholes rarely spawn but become more common the further outwards you travel.

-Fast Travel-

When accessing the Ultra Warp Ride menu you'll have the option to travel to certain places.

Fast Travel only applies to Hub Worlds (which need to be found before they become available) and Ultra Megalopolis.

Ultra Megalopolis

The player has the option to explore an expanded Ultra Megalopolis. Some points of interest include the Ultra Recon Squad's HQ, Megalo Tower Square, and the East and West Districts.

You can also find a shop and a pseudo Pokémon Center here. The player can buy Beast Balls from the shop at about the same cost as a great ball.

-Ultra Megalopolians -

A new trainer class found only in Ultra Space. They are residents of Ultra Megalopolis and can be found in Hub Areas and in Ultra Megalopolis as shopkeepers, healers, and NPCs.

Most of them use Poipole and it's evolution but a few will use other Ultra Beasts.

- Blanks -

Another new trainer class introduced in Novic. The Blanks are a clan of Ultra Space Humans who live deep within the Ultra Rainforests. They look almost identical to their Ultra Megalopolis counterparts however do not have the pale blue skin.

The Blanks are decedents of a colony that isolated themselves after the events of the Beast Wars. They live in harmony with Nopperko and serve as the main plot device of the UB Light Quest

-The UB Light Quest-

This is a postgame side quest that allows the player to obtain both UB LIGHT and a permanent Ultra/Starbright form for Necromza that does not require it to hold it's Z Crystal (it still requires a Fusion though).

The quest begins once the player as completed all of the Z-Trials in the Eden Isles side area where they then obtain Nopperko once they return to a certain area, which can be done before they defeat the Champion. Once registered in the Hall of Fame, the player then must talk to Vega at Nova HQ.

She will act surprised that the player managed to befriend a "dangerous organism" before requesting them to help her with a little something. Seeing your strength as a trainer, Vega tells the player about some old colleges that could use their help to study this creature "UB Blank". She will then give you a key item that allows you to use the Ultra Warp Ride.

The player teams up with the Recon Squad to learn more about the Ultra Beast Nopperko and to debunk the myths and urban legends surrounding  it. Along the way, the player comes across an isolated clan who lives with these creatures and the fact that just maybe, Nopperko could hold the power to help restore Necromza to it's original glory.
