The non-main trio of the Dranowa region. They will play a major role in a short prequel set before the events of the main game dubbed Rising Tides against an illegal fossil mining sceme that threatens to sink the small island chain off the coast of the main Dranowan islands, The Eden Archipelago, into the sea.

Backstory:

The Earth Trio represent Earth, Water, and Fire respectively. They were said to have been reborn from three regular Pokémon whom lived on an isolated island paradise that was attacked by Yveltal and reborn by the will of Xerneas in it's own image.

This was during a time when Kyogre and Groudon ruled the Sea and Land respectively, leaving a majority of the planet inhabitable. Land would rise and sink randomly but Arceus created a small island that was away from all of the chaos. This island was known as
Eden Island.

This island was a paradise for Pokémon and kept them safe from the Primitive World outside of it. Eventually the Titans of the Sea and Land were put to sleep and the land calmed. As a result the single island became an archipelago.

Upon the center island was a tree. This tree was planted there when the island was created and acted as a guardian of sorts against the rain, keeping the inhabitants of the island dry.

Yet one day doom would find it's way to this paradise. Yveltal found the archipelago as a good place to cocoon. The legendary landed on the central island, sapping life from the ancient tree and all of the inhabitants of the island. Three unidentified Pokémon tried to stand up to the menace but were unsuccessful, perishing at the base of the tree.

Eden island was reduced to nothing but a lifeless wasteland when it was found by Xerneas. It challenged Yveltal, managing to drive it out when it came across the three fallen Pokémon. It took notice of their bravery to defend their homeland and resurrected them as a gift, shaping them in it's image.

The first was fused with the tree, becoming the legendary Pokémon of nature, Yggdeersil. The second was bathed in the sea, becoming the legendary of water, Njordus. The final one was gifted with the fires from the earth, becoming the legendary of Fire, Glumera.

They were said to have gone on to help shape the new world. Taming the desolate land and raging sea, allowing life to finally inhabit them.

Type: (Grass/Ground)

Bio: Known as "The Elder Tree", It is considered the trio master. The branch-like antlers upon it's head are covered in leaves, giving it the appearance of a tree. It's hooves are covered in a rootlike growths that make it look like the Pokémon is wearing boots.

Though not as powerful as Groudon, it has the ability to level mountains and terraform the earth at will. Not even foes who hide are safe as it's known to launch chunks of rock into the water and it's attacks are strong enough to shake the earth in places, causing tunnels and caves to collapse.

Despite this, thee Pokémon is relatively peaceful as long as you don't mess with it's homeland. It has known for it's wisdom, willing to share with those who manage to reach it's home of Eden Island in the center of the Archipelago, which is no easy fit as the island is surrounded by many dangers, crafted by the trio themselves.

Info: The user attacks the foe with the raging roots of a tree. This move's power is doubled if the foe uses Dive or Dig.

Based on: It's based on that of the Ceryneian Hind from Greek mythology, a large deer with gold antlers and Yggdrasil from Norse Mythology.

Njordus:

Type: (Water/Fairy)

Bio: (I don't have a title for this thing yet, if anyone has a suggestion for a title feel free to comment one, I'll credit you). This Pokémon body is a turquoise color with scales that shine in the light. It's fins are multicolor with a primarily red one atop it's head.

This Pokémon lives in the depths of the Eden Archipelago. A place that hasn't been touched for millions of years and is home to an ancient Pokémon believed to have gone extinct long ago. This Pokémon was be sighted off the coast of Dranowa and is said to the ancestor of the Pokémon Sharpedo (Thank you ZonaMemoryverse ). These Pokémon used to have an Alpha that went missing, as a result Njordus has been acting as a stand-in until a new Alpha steps ups.

Njordus is known to create waves to protect it's turf. The waves this Pokémon creates are strong enough to sink land and knock flying types into the sea.

This Pokémon sheds it's scales every once and a while. These scales are prized by jewelers and collectors more than anything and it's said that those who find one are blessed with good luck.

Info: The foe is struck with the crashing waves of the sea. This move's power does double damage to those who use Fly or Bounce.

Based on: This pokemon is based on the mythical creature Hippocampus. It's name comes from that of the Norse god of the sea, Njord.

Glumera

Type: Fire/Dark

Bio: This pokemon looks like a mix between other Pokémon. It's head resembles that of a Pyroar, it's back legs look like that of a Gogoat, and it's tail resembles an Seviper's. It has two large dragon-wings on it's back it uses to fly about.

It used to live in the Eden Archipelago before it moved to Mt. Brimstone in Dranowa. Glumera lives in the caves of Mt. Brimstone. It's said that mood effects that of the volcano. It has been a menace to miners for years as a result, causing tunnels to cave in and damages to mining equipment.

This Pokémon can bend fire to it's will. Burning up foes with fire 10 times hotter than the sun.

Signature move: Enkindling Pyre

Type: Fire

Bio: The foe is struck with a fire channeled from the depths of the Earth. It will always leave the target with a severe burn.

Based on: Glumera is based on that of the Chimera. It gets it's namesake from Glöð (Glod or Glut) the wife of the personification of Fire from Norse Mythology. It means "glad or Glowing embers".

Xerneus (Eden Form)

Type: Fairy/Dragon

Ability: Aura Break

Bio: After the incident at the Eden Isles, Zygarde appeared to restore balance to the ecosystem. To prevent any further disasters, the legendary created a special type of flower using some of it's energy with the power to nullify the effects of Xerneas and Yveltal if they were to ever tread here again. Leaving the Earth Trio to watch over the islands, it left.

After consuming the flower, Xerneas changes into it's Eden form. In this form, it has lost the use of it's powers in exchange for a boost in it's combat strength.

Because the flower contains some of Zygrade's energy, Xerneas has gained the Dragon type along with some of Zygrade's powers. It now has the capability to nullify the effects of other Pokémon's moves and abilities with the use of it's new signature move.

It can also learn the move Core Enforcer if they player has captured Zygrade

Type: Fairy

Bio: The target is struck by a beam of energy that cleanses them of any status changes, both good and bad.

Yveltal (Eden form)

Type: Dragon/Flying

Ability: Dragon Aura

Bio: In this form, Yveltal is incapable of causing any destruction in order to protect the ecosystem.

Yveltal is not aggressive in this form and will actively try to protect the environment from those who try to harm or destroy it.

It too has gained some of Zygrade's energy from consuming the flower. Yveltal's new signature move allows it to steal status changes from it's target, upping the Pokémon's power in turn.

Signature move: Aura Drain

Physical

Type: Dragon

Bio: The user strikes the foe and steals it's status changes. Raising the user' status depending on which ones the foe has. (This applies to both positive and negative stats changes. The user's stats will always raise and the foe's will be reset to normal. Example:

You use tail whip and lower the foe's defense the use Aura Drain. Your defense will be boosted depending on how many stages the foe's stats were increased/lowered.

Say the foe uses Swords Dance and then you use Aura Drain. Your attack will increase by two stages if they don't have any other buffs on them.)
