Narrator: 

Last time we saw our heroes, Emily accepted an Island Trail by no other than Lana, who was revealed to be a Island Trail Captain! But there was a request: Lana wanted to battle Emily's alias : Isabella Satoshi. 

The battle was intense, but with the gang watching their battle, Isabella was able to pull out all the stops and won her first Z-Crystal: The Waterium.

What lies in store for our heroes? Let's find out!

Ash

I still couldn't believe that Emily actually had a Waterium Z-Crystal in her possession! It seems so unreal and I couldn't be more happier for me to see a Pokemon battle like that. 

Although, I couldn't be more surprised, considering that Emily had been strong as Isabella in the Kalos League. 

I touched the backpack necklace I've kept five years ago, although I'm relieved that my sister is here, I still can't believe that Giovanni was actually our uncle who threaten to take everything I've cared about. 

"Ash? Are you ok?" A voice asks me, to snap me out of it. I turned around to see it was Bonnie. 

I replied, "Sorry, I guess that I was still having memories . " 

"Was it about your separation between Isabella? Ash, I know that things haven't been easy since the League. 

In fact, seeing how much you and Emily grow strong together, it really makes me eager with total excitement of battling. " 

I chuckled , "I guess so. But still , I wished that I could've stopped her before she ran off after Pikachu. " 

"Ash , it's not your fault. If anyone is to blame, it's Giovani and Team Rocket. They're the reason that you two were separated in the first place. " 

As I was about to reply , I sense a familiar aura. 

I run away from Bonnie as she ask, "Ash! Where you going?"

I didn't reply back to her, as I run towards a red-haired boy with a Lycanroc by his side. 

"Finally caught up to you. Aloha, Cross." 

The boy looks at me with pure shock of seeing me again. 

Isabella

I still couldn't believe that I won a Z-Crystal! I sigh as Anna said, "I can't believe that you won your own Waterium Z-Crystal! Lana wasn't kidding around when she said that she was an Island Captain." 

I nod, "Yeah, Lana is a pure challenge, that's for sure. Honestly, this would be a interesting turn for me. 

Although of having my identity hidden for five years, it seems like I can feel free of being myself again with Ash. " 

I am still felt guilt of hiding from the gang , pretending to be dead , and watching them progress within the darkness. 

Serena came up to us, as she ask, "Have you guys seen Ash? " 

We shook our head, "No, I thought that he was with you. Aren't you a couple, you know him better than anyone. " 

I sigh, "I'll go look. I know one thing : Ash can lead to a Pokemon Battle as we speak. Let's go, Pikachu." 

We searched for my brother as to our surprise, there he was with a boy I've never seen before. 

"Ash! There you are!" 

The boys looked at me as the boy said, "Ash, I know it's been a while, but care to explain who is this?"

"We can do some introductions later. I want to know, is it true that what Souji said? That you're one of the Island Trail Captains now?"

I was confused, as the boy nod, "I guess so. My family's island is not far from here. I was going to check in with my siblings. And while we're there, how about it? A reunion battle . I want to see how strong you had become since we last crossed paths with our encounter with Ho-Ho." 

Ash chuckled, "Of course! I wouldn't have it any other way, Are you going with Lycanroc?" 

"Of course I would. Still going with Pikachu, or Charizard?"

"I've got a Pokemon that you wouldn't believe that I owe. " He said, as he turns to me, "Can you be the referee , sis?"

The boy stammers , "S-Sis?" 

"Sure, I kind of figured that you would battle. Good luck." I said. 

Cross

I was stunned to bumping to Ash , my old rival here in Aloha, and there was a girl I've never seen before, as Ash said to the girl, "Sis." 

What does he mean by that?

Lycanroc seems to be fired up, as Ash went to the other side of the battlefield. "Get ready , Cross!  Here is my Pokemon! 

Greninja, come on out!" He yelled, tossing the Pokeball out, as to seeing a frog-type Pokemon. 

The girl sighs, "I still can't believe you are going to use Greninja. Geez, Ash, you really going to use the Bond Phonemon again, aren't you? 

Dad wouldn't like it if he finds out about this." 

"I'll be fine, besides, I have to be in shape if we ever cross paths with Team Rocket again. I have to be ready." 

He touches a piece of fabric around his neck, as it looks like a good luck charm, as his eyes were totally focused on me, like from when I abused Charizard when it used to be my Pokemon. 

"Greninja, let's do it!" 

"Nin" He said, nodding with him, as a group of people came to our battlefield as a brown-haired girl sighs, "Here we go again. Ash never backs down from a battle." 

A girl next to her shrugs, "What you expect from him, He's your boyfriend, Serena." 

"Greninja , use Night Slash!" 

"Dodge it!" 

I never seen a Pokemon like this before, and in fact of thinking back, is this the same boy I've fought with?

Lycanroc seems to be wondering of my second command, as I yelled, "Use Stone Edge!" 

Ash chuckled, "I figure you would do that, Cross. You haven't change. " 

The girl titled her head in confusion, as to not knowing of what he meant by that. 

Isabella

As I watched their battle, I was curious of who Ash's opponent was. It seems like they had known each other as Ash's smile was so happy of facing another opponent . 

"Who is he?" I thought, as Bonnie and the others came to see their fight. 

"Ash never gets tired from battling." Misty sighs as knowing of seeing him using Greninja. 

Anna asks, "Who is he fighting against? I never seen him before, have you seen him before, Isabella?" 

"No. I haven't seen him before. It's my first time seeing him. " I replied, as Gary nods, "I forgot. You were in hiding from Team Rocket and Team Plasma. It would make sense that you never met your brother's rivals. " 

Clement said, "Are you saying that boy is Ash's rival? Who is he then, and how could he not tell us about him?"

"Cross, how about I kick it up a notch? This is Greninja's true power!" Ash declared , as that the boy , looks confused.

Cross's eyes widen, seeing the transformation of Ash-Greninja, as he yelled, "Lycanroc, get ready!" 

"Night slash again!" Ash yelled, mimicking his movement, as the attack make an direct hit on the  Pokemon, and without a second , the match was over. 

Ash smirk at the victory, but he fell to the ground, mostly due to using most of his aura. "Ash!" I exclaim, as to help my brother, but a hand was offered to him as it was Cross. 

Ash took it, as Cross helped him up, as to they looked to each other in silence, but then after a while, they laughed. 

"Man, Ash, you had grown stronger.  You really impressed me, as to being a Trail Captain , I could've given you a Fire Z-Crystal right now. " 

"Awe, thanks for the compliment, Cross. For what it's worth, I had a blast battling against an old rival. " He said. 

That was when my stomach suddenly growled, which made me slight embarrassment . 

"Sorry. I can't help it." I said, which Cross laugh. 

"How about we head inside for lunch? Ash, we need to catch up and introduce me to your companions. " 

The living room was so amazing, as Cross laid out the Alohan food in the table, " It's on the house. Enjoy the feast , everyone!" 

Everyone was enjoying the food, but I was dead curious about the host. "So, um, how you know my brother?"

Cross asks, "I heard Ash called you sis, but I never recalled him having a sister. Who are you?"

Ash pulls his arm around me, "Oh, right, you guys haven't gotten a proper introduction. This is my younger sister, Emily Ketchum. She's a Pokemon Trainer, just like us, and believe it or not, remember of seeing a person named Isabella Satoshi in the Kalos League? Well, this is her. " 

Cross said, "You're seriously Ash's sister, with a alias named Isabella Satoshi?!? This is such a surprise!" 

"Don't worry, Cross, we've been there. We were in shock of hearing that Emily was Ash's sister. " Bonnie said. 

"Cross is a rival of mine when I used to travel with Sorrel and Verity . Believe it or not, he used to be Charizard's original trainer back then. " Ash explains Cross's backstory. 

"Huh?!?" We exclaimed in shock, as Cross nods, confirming it. "It's true, but I have to admit, letting Ash get Charizard was ultimately the right decision. As seeing how strong Ash is now, I'm truly impressed by his battling style." 

"So, how long you didn't see each other?" I ask. 

"We haven't seen each other since Ash battled against Ho-Ho. " Cross said, "But I'm truly shocked that we both ended up seeing each other here in Aloha. What are the odds of that? Speaking of which, why are you here in Aloha, anyway?" 

"Oh, well, we are Pokemon Trainers after all, so, basically a new Journey, so to speak. Also, this new journey is Ash's first time traveling with Emily since Giovanni, who turns out not only as Ash's sworn enemy, but their uncle, set a trap on them, and they been separated for 5 years. In some way, this is a brand new start for them. " Serena explains. 

I couldn't handle it any longer, as remembering that fateful day, as if it was yesterday.  I got up and get some air. 

"Em?" 

I turn to see Gary who was looking directly at me.

Our heroes had come across an old rival of Ash's past, Cross! And he was surprise of learning the relationship of the Ketchum Siblings and what Gary want to talk to Emily about?
