Marshadow giggled as rushed forward, punching Alpha in the face and then slipping away.

Latios took to the skies and launched volleys of attacks down at them.

Zax charged at Marshadow, his claws extended and darkened. Alpha and Fuego combined their firepower and directed it towards Roger.

The Fearow jumped off the edge of the mountain and flew above their heads laughing the whole time.

Zax slashed at Marshadow. The ghost dodged most of them but one of the claws hit him on the side.

Gizzit moved towards the spot where Kut was imprisoned. He began punching the chain attempting to break it.

"Brute force won't suffice. You need to give it all you've got!" Kut told him.

"But I'll shock you too," Gizzit responded. "Trust me it's not pleasant. Do you think you could use your shadow sneak and escape from here now that Marshadow is distracted?"

Kut sunk into the shadows, slipping free from the chains. He emerged next to Gizzit. "Alright. Let's give it all we've got, shall we?"

"But I'm not nearly as strong as the rest of them. I personally just like staying in the back. I'm hardly a hero."

Kut chuckled. "You remind me quite a bit of a good friend of mine. I think if there are any more similarities between the two of you we'll be just fine. Now grab my hilt, I promise I won't suck your life away."

Gizzit closed his hand around Kut's hilt. Ghostly energy flared up Kut's blade, then electricity began to crackle around the darkness. "Electric and ghost. A deadly combination." They charged into battle.

As soon as the boulder crashed down and covered the stairs Zen knew something was wrong. "I believe Zax and his group are up there battling against Marshadow alone."

"Oh man. This isn't good. Especially because the dragon lord will be here any minute!" Ellie whimpered.

Karl tilted his head. "Dragon lord?"

"There used to be two of them but Marshadow killed one of them. They were the two dragons who were stronger than any other. I don't know why they weren't in here before but he'll be back soon."

"How do you know all this?" Karl demanded.

Ellie shrugged. "I keep in touch with some friends here."

The ground shook, a Garchomp stomped in through one of the entrances. It had dark blue skin with a red stomach. It towered over the group with arms that ended in spikes. The beast was a land-shark, with fins, a long tail, and two torpedoes on the sides of Garchomp's head.

"Who dares trespass my domain? I will destroy you fools!" Garchomp roared, it dashed at them with its claws raised in the air.

Garchomp slashed at Ellie. Karl intercepted with his own claws and the two became locked in a standoff. Zen leaped up and swing her leg into Garchomp's head.

The dragon stumbled backward, Ellie launched a purple beam into Garchomp's stomach. Then Karl zipped forward, surrounded by water, and rammed into Garchomp.

Garchomp stood and jabbed its claw into Karl's head, pinning him down. Then it unleashed a barrage of flames from its mouth that knocked Zen and Solomon back.

Ellie began to shake fearfully. "Oh dear. Oh dear."

Garchomp picked up Karl and threw the Kabutops into the wall behind it. The dragon fixed his eyes on Ellie and chuckled.

"You are a coward, yes? I'll let you run far away as long as you don't look back. I can have enough fun with these three. So go on, run! I dare you!" Garchomp roared his challenge.

"No. They wouldn't run, they didn't run, so neither will I!" Ellie quickly charged and fired another purple beam into Garchomp's face.

Garchomp stumbled back and hissed. "You've sealed your fate then." He ran at Ellie then leaped up, ready to land on her claws first. Ellie was charging another purple beam, she fired it at his stomach and Garchomp was pushed into the ceiling.

Zen stood and smirked, she leaped up and kneed him in the face just as Garchomp was beginning to fall. Karl laughed and slammed his claw into the ground. A large stone erupted from the earth below Garchomp and the Pokémon landed on the rock.

Zax continued slashing at Marshadow, determined to beat it himself. "You won't survive this fight!"

Marshadow laughed. "Maybe I will and maybe I won't! What's it to you Guildmaster? Either way, you'll be dead too! I'll make sure of it!"

Zax paused his attack, puzzled by what Marshadow had said. He was then punched by Marshadow and one of Latios's volleys hit him.

Zax was panting but not yet ready to give up. "I'm not finished!" He shakily stood and charged at Marshadow.

Gizzit swung Kut around, the sword couldn't reach Roger so he released some of the electricity coursing through him. Sadly the bird was able to dodge everything he could throw at him.

"Gizzit stop swinging him around before you cut someone's head off!" Fuego shouted.

Kassidy yelped. "Gizzit C'mon! I was gonna sneak up on him! This is a seriously bad idea!"

"You think I don't... know that!" Gizzit grunted. "I just need to get up close to Roger. I have a plan!"

Alpha was roaring and firing as many flames at Roger as he could. Unfortunately, the giant was exhausted. Roger dove down, Alpha saw this and his fist sparked. He swung it just as Roger was in range and pinned the bird on the ground by the neck.

"You've lost! I am the champion!" Alpha roared.

"That's what you think lad. But I'm just fine!" Roger bit Alpha's hand and he withdrew it. Roger stood and rapidly pecked Alpha. The Heatran tried his best to protect his face and walk out of range

What Alpha couldn't see was that he was slowly walking himself off the edge of the mountain.

"Crap we gotta help Alpha!" Gizzit said, he swung Kut over his should and ran as quick as he could over to them, right before he was on top of them he stopped and uses the momentum to swing Kut.

The sword hit Roger with the blunt side and then filled him with electricity. Roger crumbled with a weak caw.

"Well done kid. Now we have to take care of this Latios somehow."

Gizzit shook his head. "We need Flutter for that. None of us can reach him from here. For now, let's focus on helping Zax."

A large cloud passed over the peak. Marshadow smirked and vanished before Zax could hit him. When he returned two strange Dugtrio and a strange Ninetales had come with him.

The Dugtrio looked completely normal other than its odd blonde hair. Each head had different hairstyles. The heads were all round brown stubs with red noses and black eyes.

The Ninetales was all white and blue instead of yellow. At the ends of its long fur, it became wavy and soft. The Pokémon was still a quadruped Fox-like Pokémon but it appeared to be an ice type now.

"I did some research on what the Spearow had on Alolan Pokémon. Those Dugtrio are also steel types and the Ninetales is an ice and fairy type." Fuego told the group.

The Dugtrio vanished underground and the Ninetales fired a white beam Kassidy, encasing her in a block of ice.

Marshadow hit Zax from behind, grabbed him, and flipped him over Marshadow. "Oh man, don't FLIP out just because I'm winning!"

Alpha charged at the Ninetales but Latios's attacks hit him, then a Dugtrio surfaced around him and repeatedly tackled his legs.

Gizzit was attacked by the other Dugtrio and dropped Kut. Kut raised himself to strike but Marshadow appeared from nowhere and punched him in the eye.

Fuego stomped his feet and unleashed as many flames as he could in every direction. Accidentally hitting Gizzit and Kut but he also hit Marshadow.

Zax struggled to his feet, he looked over the group. Everyone but Fuego was badly injured. Roger was even slowly rising.

"We can't win this alone. We need the others. And we need them fast." Zax murmured. "But for now, I have to be there for my Guildmembers. I can't let them just keep getting damaged. This is my fault, now it's time to undo it!"

Zax charged at Marshadow, his claws quickly darkening and growing. Zax jabbed them into Marshadow's back.

The ghost just laughed. "You really thought this would stop me? Now Zax I'm disappointed in you!" Marshadow vanished once again and reappeared begins Zax.

This time the Zangoose turned and grabbed Marshadow. He flipped the shadow Pokémon onto the ground and then flung him off the edge of the mountain.

Marshadow appeared next to him moments later. "You did it. Yay, you stopped Marshadow. You're a hero."

Zax cocked his arm back to punch Marshadow. But as he flung his fist forward Marshadow dissipated and reappeared right in front of Zax's face.

"Bye-bye!" Marshadow rapidly punched Zax in the face. He fell into his back, and moments later he blacked out.

Karl was slashing the giant boulder trying to break it. "Take this! And this! And take this!"

"You aren't going to break it with sheer force alone. You must rest until we can come up with a better plan." Zen told Karl.

"Why don't we just move it with your psychic?" Ellie proposed.

Zen shook her head. "I don't know psychic, only future sight. And it would take too much energy when we don't even know if it would work. Solomon alone isn't strong enough to break the boulder with psychic."

Just as they were losing hope Omega's group came through the entrance Garchomp had come from earlier.

"We're here! Sorry, we're late, Maryland got lost and then for a while Flutter was inside of a Salamance. But we made it!" Omega said he glanced at the others. "What's wrong? Where's Alpha, and the others?"

"We believe they are on the other side of this boulder fighting Marshadow and his goons but we cannot get through it," Zen explained.

Flutter gasped. "Oh dear, that's no good! We have to help them!"

Jet simply tried attacking the boulder. "Come on! Move! Get out of here!"

Maryland helped him, using her claws any way she could to try to damage the rock. "We can break it together!"

"Oh man! What are we going to do? We'll never get through this stupid rock! Wait I can dig under it!" Omega began to tunnel underground.

"Omega that would be suicide!" Zen shouted.

Ellie was pacing in the background. "We can do this, how do we do this?"

Melanie just stood there for a moment. "I'm not weak. This'll prove it. Prove I'm not weak!" She took a deep breath and used every bit of psychic energy she could muster on the rock. Cracks began to spread along the boulder.

"Oh, golly Melanie's doing it!" Flutter exclaimed.

Jet, Karl, and Maryland stopped attacked rock and stepped back.

"You can do this Melanie!" Jet tried to give a thumbs up with his tail.

Omega looked over at Melanie. "You've got this Melanie! I know it!"

Melanie grinned. I have to win now, for all of their sakes. Maybe I am weak alone, but with them, I'm stronger than Marshadow will ever be able to comprehend. With one final surge of strength, the boulder exploded, revealing the staircase up to the peak.

Melanie collapsed, her ears were ringing and her head hurt. But she was happy.

Jet slithered in front of the stairs. "Now, Zax and the others are in danger. We must give them any medical attention they may need. So everyone be sure to use seeds and berries to help them, let's give Melanie a rest. Now, for the glory of the guild! Let's beat up Marshadow!" Everyone cheered and they charged up the stairs.

Everyone except Melanie, who was given specific instructions from Omega to rest for a moment. She took out a berry from her bag and ate it in three bites. Then she stood and walked upstairs. Being tired wouldn't stop her from helping.
