On the beach of a lone continent a Pokémon washed ashore. The Pokémon was a small blue penguin pokemon with a yellow beak and yellow feet.

The Piplup stood in a daze. "Huh? What happened to me? Where am I?" They wondered, looking around.

The Piplup moved and looked down at the water, seeing himself in the reflection he jumped. "What the! Why am I a Pokémon?"

Suddenly two figures moved from the forest leading to the beach. One was a large red and yellow Pokémon with grey skin and a small lean face. The other was a smaller white furred Pokémon with giant claws and a red stripe zigzagging across their chest.

"Looks like we're finally here Alpha. And this time no punching stuff. It'd be really nice to actually talk to them this time."

"Well Zax if they're a crackpot what do they have to say?"

The two stopped arguing and moved toward the Piplup.

"Ah! Why are those Pokémon so big?" The Piplup gasped.

"Why thank you." Zax smirked.

"What the heck! It can talk!"

"It's another one of these. What's the story? You're a human and now you wake up to find out that you've become a Pokémon?" Alpha asked.

"How did you know?" Piplup asked, clearly on edge.

Zax suddenly felt very uncomfortable. "Alpha this is the fifth one in the past three weeks. Shouldn't we be concerned?"

"Don't see why. Just punch them, take them to Melanie, mission done." Alpha answered, then he punched the Piplup in the head. The Pokémon collapsed, unconscious.

Zax facepalmed. "What did I just tell you?"

"That we should be considered."

"Don't pretend you don't know what I mean. Look managing a guild is hard enough but when my own friend doesn't listen it's... not any easier."

"Look... I'm sorry. You know how I do things. Why do you even bring me on these missions anyways?"

"Because it's like the old days. I don't really get to adventure with you anymore, this is supposed to be what we do to just hang out and get away from it all. Ya know?"

Alpha nodded. "Well we better get this Piplup back to Melanie." He picked up the unconscious Pokémon.

"I really want to figure out what this means. I'll have to ask the Spearow brigade when they come back to the port if they know anything about this."

"Alright well good luck to you then." Alpha said.

Zax sighed. "Something big's coming, I can feel it. I just wish I knew what."

Meanwhile back at the guild.

Jet sighed, he was a large black snake with a spike on his tail. Gold spots dotted his body and his face. Jet had red eyes and giant red fangs sticking out of his mouth.

Jet was in a heated argument with Gizzit. Gizzit was a very gifted Elekid who had helped progress the guild's technology quite a bit. Unfortunately he was also very pushy.

Gizzit was a tiny yellow Pokémon with black stripes, one in the shape of a bolt when down the center of his body. His two ears pointed directly up and has holes in them so he looked like a plug.

"Just give me full access to the town's grid and I can save us %50 electricity without disabling any functions!" Gizzit insisted.

"Gizzit how can you be sure of anything? That grid is an incredibly exotic item. The Spearow say it can only be found in one continent and is almost impossible to export." Jet gold him.

"That's why I need you to let me look at it. I understand electricity and I can tell it's using more electricity than it needs to, so half of the energy we use is nothing but wasted power!" Gizzit explained. "Look we're real deep in debt because we invested in them and the solar panels. Least we can do is not waste any energy."

Jet groaned. "For the last time Gizzit, no!" Sure he makes a good point but if he breaks it... Jet thought.

"Ugh! What kind of show are you running? It costs nothing! Takes little time! Doesn't remove any features! And it'll be preformed by an eclectic type who also has a very high IQ!"

Jet was a bit taken aback. "Alright fine. I'm done with this argument. I'll just tell them Fuego tricked me."

Gizzit pumped his fist into the air. "Alright!" Then he ran off to begin working on his new project.

Just then Flutter flew up to Jet. The little Pidgey was a bird Pokémon and had brown feathers and a small pink beak. "Hello sir! Me and Mr. Omega returned from our quest!"

"Oh that's great! I need to talk to Omega anyways." Jet said. "I assume he's talking to Melanie?"

Flutter nodded. "Yep!"

"Thanks Flutter." Jet shook his head and slithered through the guild.

The guild was blue and silver, with three main floors. The first floor was the lobby with the entrance to the guild and two hallways branching off to the guild member's rooms.

The Guildmaster's room was built into the right wall of the lobby but out of respect for the previous Guildmaster and all the other fallen members it had been abandoned.

Instead a new room was in the center of the lobby. The room was a large cylinder made mostly of glass. In the room was a desk and lots of books from different places around the world and even the history of their very continent.

The second floor housed the teleporters, which there was now ten of, which all went to different places. There was also an item box and most recently a digital map of Malenia where they could better find out the location of requests for help.

Finally the third floor was a medical ward beds lined the walls and lots of healing items were stacked in the back. The ward was now run by Melanie the Gothorita.

There was now two ways to travel to each floor. There used to only be an elevator but during renovation Alpha had insisted they put in stairs.

Jet arrived on the third floor to see his Durant friend talking to Melanie. Omega was a very small ant Pokémon with a metal exterior. He had large pincers but unlike other Durant his eyes were cool blue and he was always smiling.

Melanie was a mostly black Pokémon with a purple face. White bows decorated her hair and midsection, compared to Omega she was really tall but Melanie was actually quite short.

Omega had actually been the one who has taken Melanie's request and helped her out and they ended up talking in what might have been the longest conversation Omega had ever been in.

In the end they became friends and Melanie joined the guild. Which was good for them because they needed a Pokémon with Heal Pulse.

"So there was a strange looking Golem?" Jet heard Melanie ask when he came into earshot.

"Yep and it almost took us both out but my dig attack seemed to do more damage than usual." Omega replied.

"Hi guys!" Jet said, the two turned to face him.

"Oh hello Jet. Omega was just telling me about the strangest occurrence. If you want I could see if Zen has any knowledge about this strange Pokémon?" Melanie proposed.

Jet nodded."That'd be great, thanks Melanie." Melanie smiled and walked off.

"Hey Jet, how'd the talk with Gizzit go?" Omega asked.

"Well I just let him do it because he was really bugging me."

Omega didn't seem concerned. Jet knew that Omega was the only one who trusted Gizzit with handling such delicate technology. "Just tell Zax Fuego tricked you."

"That's the plan!" Jet and Omega shared a laugh. "So tell me about this strange Golem."

Omega recalled the story. "We we're doing our mission battling the occasional enemy when this Golem jumped out at us. He had a giant magnet on his head and some kind of beard. I swear when he punched me it was an electric attack. Anyways we finally took it out when I hit him with dig."

Jet paused and thought for a moment. "That is weird. But how did the mission go after that?" Reminds me of that Rattata from the Bridge Tower all those years ago...

Omega grinned. "It went great! We saved the Aipom and she even said she wanted to help out! She's gonna set up a shop in town with fresh fruits picked from the Magic Forest!"

"That's awesome! Great job Omega!" Jet congratulated.

"Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without Flutter. He's really coming around. I even think he's going to evolve soon."

"Glad to hear it. But next time we need to go on a mission together. It's been too long."

Omega chuckled. "It's been two weeks."

"Exactly my point! We're the dream team! Plus having you with me reallyworks on the ladies, they like a guy who's friends with a timid Pokémon."

"What am I to you, a chick magnet?" Omega joked. The two friends laughed heartily when the P.A system crackled to life.

"Good afternoon guild members," Melanie's voice said. "Please report to the lobby immediately as the Guildmaster has called for a meeting. Thank you. Oh and Jet, Zax knows you let Gizzit do the thing and he's not happy. That's all!"

"Darn it!"
