Chapter 48: The Truth Behind the Uniform!

Most days, the story would begin at the eye of the heated sun on Melemele, also known as the island that knows how to have just the grandest of times! Tonight will be different, the night starry sky has taken over. Within the hotel lobby of Bob's friendly cousin, he and Ernesto are munching away separate bowls of popcorn, wrapping up a movie about twin knights saving a kind Princess from a forest-theme castle. Bob's Dartrix rested on a fancy bird stand in the corner, while the boy himself caught himself intrigued to the way the princess speaks in the movie, her high-pitched played voice fits her dramatic movements as she wandered the halls of the closed castle. it was quite the movie to behold.

"I, I cannot thank you enough for your heroism!"

The princess wouldn't stop thanking the two for their act of bravery to escape the castle before the evil wizard could show up at the last minute for the final showdown... Which totally happens by the way.

"Bwahaha! Did you really think you pathetic warriors could escape me without a fight?"

The male knight aids the princess by stepping in front of her, his twin being the female joins him, and took out their Pokéballs for the said battle that was to initiate.

"It's time to put a stop to your reign! Charizard! It is time!"

The male knight sends out the popular Fire and Flying-type Pokémon, his twin takes out her own Pokéball and tosses it as strong as her partner stood.

"Goodra! Protect our majesty with everything you have!" A large purple dragon with a sticky purple body comes out right next to the flaming Pokémon. The wizard doesn't back down, instead, two Ghost-types come right out of the wall to fight. A Gengar and a Banette to be precise. The battle itself was well-shot, and the movie ended with the princess crowning the knights as the champion of the kingdom. Right after the credits start playing, Ernesto turns off the tv and stretches his arms in the air.

"That was the best movie I have seen in months cousin Bob." The man said while putting his buttery popcorn bowl with little pieces leftover into the sink, while Bob ends up disagreeing with him. He slumped on the couch after he left, it was pretty late at night to do so.

"I disagree, cousin, Ernesto. It was a cool movie, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it would be the best thing ever. If so, the academy would be handing out Oscars like flyers. 'You get an award! You get a reward! Everyone gets an award!'" Referencing Oprah, Bob felt like he was going to fall asleep on the leather couch, but wasn't comfortable enough to do so.

Ernesto wasn't the slightest offended of what he said, in fact, shares a charming chuckle as he washed the popcorn bowls. "Okay, so the writing I could agree on, but the acting was phenomenal cousin Bob! You just don't get it. My good friend Isabella really stole the show."

Bob perked his head up from a resting position, really questing Ernesto's opinion about the medieval movie just watched. "Isabella? Who's she?"

"Oh, she's the princess. She literally is a princess, and she's been cast as one, genius!"

That made Bob stand up on his feet, he didn't believe what he just has been informed of.

"Her? An actual princess?? Friend of yours???" Bob wanted answers, which his cousin didn't have many reasons to hide the truth, so he just fills him in before putting the bowls on the dish rack.

"She is indeed one, once you hear the routine of a princess, you won't be denying it, buddy."

"... So where did you meet her?"

After putting the dishes away, Ernesto thumps back on the couch, while Bob kept himself up because he was about to head on out, and he wanted some answers.

"At this super cool club here in Alola, I even plan to roll on by in a few days, why don't you tag along Bob and actually learn something about me and my life." What sounded to be a silly joke only ends up a challenge to him, because he didn't find it really funny. He crossed his arms and huffed a small fake chuckle.

"Cousin Ernesto. You and I have been on every vacation out there, I met your friend's and if I have heard of this princess Isabella, I would definitely remember her,  but I don't."

Ernesto simply just stood back up on his feet and shrugged. "Whatever you say cousin Bob, I am going to ruin your day if you do tag along with me."

That was when Bob decided to head back home. He just had one more thing to ask him before he did. "Can I bring friends for the trip?"

"The more, the merrier!" The man shouts out before Bob heads to his room with Dartrix to sleep the night away.

Around twelve o'clock right at noon, Bob and friends all load up in Ernesto's minivan as they sought out to for a "road trip". Everyone but Bob and Kiawe had their partner Pokémon on their lap, quite eager to meet an actual princess.

"Thank you so much for inviting us all!" Mallow politely spoke as Steenee raised its arms in the air.

"Stee! Stee! Steenee!"

"Ahh, It's no problem really. Any friends of my cousin's friends is a friend of mine." Ernesto kept his eye on the road as Ash, Sophocles, and Lana poked their heads to the window seats to see the view of the beautiful ocean view. The sun perfectly aligned to light the island and beyond.

"How did you get to meet an actual princess Ernesto?" Kiawe asked, also enjoying the view for himself. Now asking questions about his lady friend puts the man in a better mood, and Bob can see that large grin grows right at the front seat with him.

"Well, Kiawe, I'm really glad you asked. At your guys' age, I used to travel all the time, well I still do, but I loved a good Pokémon battle as much as the next guy was!" Ernesto was just getting started on his whole story, Ash perked up hearing about traveling and battles, he just couldn't help himself but chime in.

"Me too! I've been just about everywhere outside of Kanto, and I know there's still SO MUCH more to see! Even outside of Alola!"

"Pika-Pika!" Both Ash and his Pikachu both sigh, having a short path down Memory Lane as they remember some of the good times they had on their trip.

"Indeed Ash! There are still places even I have yet to record data, just like the-" Rotom dex even gets in on the conversation, but gets cut off by Ernesto.

"Well, save that for another day in the year. Anyways, I met Isabelle long before I knew her true status and identity. She looked a lot like Lillie when I was just a teen, she had a lot of ribbons in her hair like your friend Saki."

Lillie held her mouth with one hand, quite honored to be of a princess's appearance, but Saki thought of it as a cool little thought of it.

"Oh my, I always was curious on the day in the life of a princess." Lillie had her thought in, but Saki responds.

"Doesn't living in a mansion and to be served by a team of waiters at the least makes you one?" Lillie wasn't offended, by all means, instead, she smiles and shook her head.

"Thankfully no, I do rather live among everyone else. I rather not live under such different circumstances as a princess would." She looks down at Snowy on her lap and pets its soft fur.

"Mmmmm..." The Pokémon enjoys its luxurious treatment. Lucky rested on top of Lillie's hat, enjoying a nice nap throughout the car ride.

"As of myself, I would actually like the opportunity to live a day in the life of a prince if the opportunity was given, heck! I'll even take the role of the king to!" Sophocles kicks his short legs with eager energy simply thinking of a luxurious day of royalty.

"You and me both Sophocles, off with her head!" Bob raises his fist while looking right in the backseat.

"Yup, what a powerful king you would be Bibby Boo!" Lana pokes the cheek of the boy, who redden immediately after and returned to a proper way of sitting in a vehicle. Ernesto held a scornful laugh as best he could, hearing the rather flirty name from the girl, he just couldn't help himself and ask,

"Isabella and I aren't anything important, but Bibby Boo is! Isn't he?"Bob dug into his seat with a major embarrassing blush right across the face, he felt like he couldn't defend himself now that his cousin knew the nickname Lana has given him, so he resorted to a pretty low comeback.

"H-Hey cousin Ernesto, remember that time when you went swimming in the lake, and then your shorts-" Suddenly, the van slammed onto its break, everyone unanticipatedly was thrown onto the seats in front of them, as Bob almost slammed his face right in front of the window, if it wasn't for his seatbelt.

"Welp, we're here! C'mon and let's get in! Snacks are on me!" Ernesto jumps out of the car as he carried a gray duffle bag with him as he headed out for a large building none of the kids recognize.

"Any ideas about what this place even is?"  Ash looks at the building, then out to a really nice view of the ocean below.

"I can't put my finger on it beats me." Sophocles shook his head. Kiawe and Mallow even took a gander on what it could be.

"I thought I might have an idea, but nothing that comes to mind." Kiawe looks down, Mallow looks at Bob, which everyone else done so.

"... Don't look at me, I don't have any more of a clue then you guys do!" Bob's uneasy waving steps him towards the building, but Saki wasn't finished with him.

"Are you really sure about that? You and your cousin do everything together with the way you keep addressing it. It's a little weird, to be honest."

The boy didn't say anything after that if he did, he might have said or done something he totally as paid for in the past, so he nods.

"Yes, I'm sure, now let's get going. We won't find out just by standing here."

The kids catch up to Ernesto, who was showing some security guards a membership card. After that, they didn't hesitate to let him in.

"Welcome back Metal Mountain." One of the guards welcomes Ernesto with a rather respected manner, the man breathes the open clean air as he felt a certain pleasure from hearing those words.

"Metal Mountain..?" The class asked each other at the exact same. Did they really hear that correctly? The answer could be read just by the grin Bob's cousin fizzed, gesturing them to follow.

"Come on in my children. Let's have a wonderful time." The man continues to walk right in, which everyone follows. Entering right out of the entryway, there wasn't actually nothing to behold, but the fact that there was an elevator right in front of them might just lead them to Ernesto's friend. " Three levels down ladies and gentlemen.

"That's where the REAL fun is." As they shifted downwards to the third level, there was a sudden sound of muffling sounds could be heard. Down and down they went, the sound became more clear, it wasn't just sound that could be heard, it was music! That elevator door had opened, and there was a lounge they have entered upon. Everyone's jaw dropped, no one ever thinking the possible idea that Ernesto led them to some sort of club. The person who was most surprised was Bob, he didn't say much tho, except the reason being that his brain was trying to take it all in.

"But-but I thought-what-how-ehh??" Was all that the boy could even speak, Ernesto's grin widens, the satisfaction of seeing his cousin choking on his own words on what he had known about him, the very doubt and confidence he once had thought he really knew his know Ernesto might not be the case after all.

"Looks like you don't know everything about me, don't ya cousin Bob?" The man savored his win as he looked around the lounge for his friend, a get-together with an actual princess awaits.

"Do you see her anywhere Ernesto?" Mallow asked as she and the rest of the group end lending their eyes in search of Isabella. The third floor didn't have as many other trainers as one would expect, it was pretty roomy because it was a V.I.P lounge that takes more than membership to gain access too. The search didn't stretch out too long until the same elevator everyone took down has opened, a woman with golden blond hair stepped out with a noticeable entrance. Quickly she stepped out, she too was in search for someone. Her hands move in a free manner, her shoes tapped on the pretty carpet below her as finally finding her target, she waved a joyful greeting.

"Edward? Oh goodness, gracious! Edward! At long last, we finally meet!" Ernesto turns back to the woman that spoke with glee, his smile on his face strengthens on its own as he walked over and get her a friendly hug."

"Isabella! It's been such a long time!" He greets her back, the entire group eventually meets back up when Ernesto came into an open up with the new figure. Most of the girls and a few of the guys glisten to the presence of an actual princess right before them, but Bob still was surprised even though he should have known Ernesto at this point wasn't full of jokes.

"S-So you're the princess that Ernesto is friends with?..." Lana thinly blushes as she asked the beautiful lady a question. She turns to her full attention and held her dress and bows as a royal princess would greet others.

"Very true young one. I, am Princess Isabella Fern Asselin from Kalos. A pleasure to meet you all." She stops to take a deep breath from the very joyful side to her and began to behave as she has done so in the movie Bob watched yesterday.

"I... can't believe it. I never considered royalty still to exist to this date... I humbly apologize to you, Princess Isabelle." Bob looks down in defeat, sorry for the thoughts he processed if she wasn't an actual princess and some actress for a movie, but she shook her head.

"Its okay young man. You aren't the only person who believes so. Royalty is rare nowadays, but it's not such a bad thing!" Isabella informs the group, as the call from a man afar gets her attention.

"Princess Isabella, I wish you wouldn't startle me so by exploring freely like that." The one who calls approaches, he and his twin sister wearing matching uniforms with brown hair waves at the new faces.

"Are these your friends m' lady?" The women of the pair asked.  Isabella glanced towards the voices nearby as she cupped her hands in a delightful manner.

"Ahh yes, yes, yes! Children, I would like you all to meet Bryce and Evelyn. My personal bodyguards and very good friends of mine!" Isabella brushes the hairs in front of her eyes, as the twins took a knee not just to royalty, but to the kids as well.

"Sir Bryce at your service." The man smiles and as the kids look down with a gleam to their eye.

"Dame Evelyn here, I show no fear in protecting Princess Evelyn by all means." The woman follows her brother, as Ernesto nods with his hands folded.

"Wow! Having your own bodyguards must be awesome! I can only imagine what would it be like having my own..." Sophocles looks into the air and imagines him kicking back with his shoes in the air of a seat at a restaurant, his bodyguard, being Saki for the dream gives anyone a dead look in the eye to anyone who dares critically speaks of his behavior in public.

"Sophocles... You're okay and all, but I'm never being your bodyguard. I would charge a hundred and fifty bucks an hour by the way. That goes for all of you." Saki warns her class if anyone else had any considering thoughts, so she smiled as no one dares to step out of line and pay her upfront.

"Not only Bryce and Evelyn are two magnificent bodyguards and actors, but they are skilled Pokémon Trainers too!" Ernesto speaks up, Bryce stood back up and extends his hand out for a friendly handshake.

"Ahh! Edward Metal Mountain! You're back! It has been an age!" Ernesto shook hands with Bryce, everyone looking at each other after hearing that name for the second time.

"Metal Mountain? Is that his second name or something, I'm stumped..." Ash scratched his head, Kiawe crossed his arms and looks at Bob.

"Edward, Ernesto, Metal Mountain? Your cousin is sincerely a card." He pats the chubby kid on the back, as he looks down to the ground, he just didn't know where to go from there.

"I honestly thought I knew Kiawe, turns out I do not. He could be a master chef without me knowing. Boiling yogurt just to throw me off my game. He could be a firefighter, saving college cheerleaders after trying to bake a cake that tastes like chocolate and sanding paper! Or he could be an Island Kahuna for all we know!" The defeat drives into his head, feeling generally calm after Lana touched his hand, that really shut him up.

"Whaddya say we show my cousin and his friends a Pokémon battle they won't forget for quite some time?"  Ernesto offers a challenge as Bryce views up, which seems to amp up Isabella's enthusiasm.

"Oh jolly a battle! I would be ever so grateful to see my friends partake in a heated battle!" She wasn't the only one down for the match, Ash and his friends want to examine a match between a hotel owner and royal bodyguards.

"A battle would be awesome!" Ash throws his arms in the air.

"Yeah, I could go for a match myself." Bob looks up and smiles.

"Well... If you wish for entertainment, I shall grant you battle!" Bryce took out his Pokéball to show he wasn't backing down.

"My brother and I shall smite you Metal Mountain!" Evelyn too stands as tall as her brother, Ernesto heartedly laughs, a tad similar to the evil wizard in the movie.

"I shall take you both on by myself! The princess will be mine!" He clowns around, the grown-ups having a laugh before signing up for a turn on the battlefield.

"You sure you can take them both on Ernesto?" Mallow tilts her head around five minutes before the match, Ernesto stood up with the duffle bag he carried with him into the lounge, he excused himself right after answering her question.

"Oh, I have a few tricks up my sleeve Mallow. No need to worry." Ernesto flicked two fingers up in a gun positioning way as headed out to a dressing room.

Several epic Pokémon battles had passed by before the big battle between the royal bodyguards. An announcer steps up into the arena with a microphone and speaks in a great big impression like most major sports announcers do to rally up the crowd.

"Alright, alright! I hope you amazing trainers are enjoying yourselves at Starlight's Lounge because we aren't slowing down any time soon!" The announcer raises his hands up and down to really amp up the energy in the building to those who can't enough of the battles that storm at the magnificent mezzanine.

"In the blue corner, coming from this very region! Our next contestant holds his own hotel for the vacationing visitors! He's also been around the globe in search for uncommon Pokémon to train and harness their power! Today we have, Metal Mountain!" Ernesto steps into the side of the arena wearing a white and gray hotel uniform with a fancy cane with two horns sticking right out. The crowd already goes nuts for his introduction, so he must a local favorite by the sound of the applause. Ash and the rest of the class also clap for his entrance, Bob slowly shaking his head because he was till down about being very very wrong... "In the red corner, coming from the Kalos region to join the fun with us! We have a pair of twins who are willing to travel into the thickest of blizzards and the darkest of caves to protect and to serve Princess Isabella's every need, joining us Sir Bryce and Dame Evelyn, also known as Double Trouble!" Both guards approached their side of the arena and bowed for the appreciated attention they have been given for this very battle. "The red corner will have the use of one Pokémon each, while Metal Mountain will have the use of two! Bring forth them at once!"

Stepping off of the arena, Bryce and Evelyne grabbed their Pokéballs and delivered a mighty toss.

"Charizard! Lend me your strength!" Bryce's choice was the same Pokémon from the movie, the famous orange flaming Pokémon with a mighty roar.

"Goodra! Aid my brother with your assistance!" Evelyn sent out her same partner as of before, Ernesto had a clean smile, quite glad to see the towering beasts.

"Prepare yourselves, I do not intend to lose. Castform, come on out!" A small white Pokémon hover in front of Ernesto, quite eager to fight, despite the major size difference, it wasn't backing down.

"What's that Pokémon?" Lillie looks towards at Ash from the audience, Rotomdex floating right towards her and loads up his data.

"Leave the Pokémon researchzz to me! Castform, the weather Its form changes on its own, due to its cells' sensitive reactions to temperature and humidity!" Rotomdex quickly zooms its camera to Ernesto on his second choice, which suddenly rallied up the audience, more than before.

"And now, for the real star of the show, Aggron! Let's grind our metal!" He tosses a Pokéball, which sends out a large metal monster that matches the same color pallet on Ernesto's uniform.

"AAAAGROOON!" It roars, the crowd going nuts for its return back onto the stage. Bob and Ash on the edge of their seats to see this exciting Pokémon ready for action.

"A-ggron?" Kiawe tilts his head to see a Pokémon he has seen for the first time, so the name pronunciation was a bit off, even Rotomdex couldn't pull its data.

"Goodness! My systems don't match any data on this Pokémon whatsoever!" It hovers in excitement for the surprises this new Pokémon can bring to the table.

"I guess we'll just have to observe the old fashion way!" Sophocles held his seat tight for the match to start, which indeed began.

"Alright! If both sides are ready, let the battle begin!" The announcer throws his hands into the air to signal the party had just started.

"Castform, I will start you off with Double Team!" Ernesto points his cane into the air which is where the small gray Pokémon hovers above and began spawning illusional copies of itself. Bryce and Evelyn did not back down from the sudden multiplication.

"You're full of surprises Metal Mountain, but my trained mind will help me stay focused on the award of victory! Your mindful magic won't work against me! Charizard, Flare Blitz on Aggron!" Bursting itself in an intense fire, Charizard speeds through any fake Castform copies and right towards Aggron. Just by watching, Kiawe thought The steel Pokémon was toast, but one must never judge a book by its cover.

"Iron Defense." Ernesto snarkily commanded his big Pokémon to defend itself by. Now, it would be better for Ernesto to travel an even safer route by fully defending his Pokémon with a move such as Protect, but seeing his Aggron's bulk completely tank against its opponent was even more crowd-pleasing to him.

"Impressive show of strength, but this mountain won't melt to your flame," Ernesto smirks, Bryce doesn't like the look of the current situation, but Evelyn aided to his trouble.

"Don't let your guard down brother, Aggron is a lot tougher than before but let's not forget we make an extraordinary team! Have Charizard focus on Aggron, and I'll take care of Castform's sneaky clones!" The girl winks, as she raised her arm high in the air for her next move. "Goodra! Dragon Breath!" A stream of an unsettling scented beam of Evelyn's Pokémon blasts even more copies of Castform, but the real one still wasn't harmed whatsoever.

Ernesto smirked, the odds favoring him, it was no time for his move. "Castform, Rain Dance." The small Pokémon called up a growing cloud as it began to rain in the arena, suddenly calling its rain form. "By casting a storm, Charizard's Fire-type attacks are rendered weak now." Ernesto smiles as he spreads his arms in the air, almost in the form of a T-pose, which made Bryce a little uneasy.

"Dang... He's got the weather on his side... We have to change of plan Evelyn!" Bryce doesn't think through, as he goes against his sister's plan and to attack the small floating Pokémon.

"But brother! What about-"

"My apologies, but I'm taking down Castform if we are to stop this weather madness! Wing Attack Charizard!" The lizard spreads its wings and takes flight, in search of the real Castform behind the remaining copies, Evelyn didn't like the sudden fight against her strategy, but she was forced to proceed.

"You may have weakened my brother's Pokémon, but you haven't weakened us! Aqua Tail!" A spout of water comes swinging right towards Aggron, which was bigger than it should be thanks to the boosted power of the rain.

"Iron Defense," Ernesto commanded, strengthening its own Defense with the former boost from before, Aggron barely flinched from Groodra's attack. He looks up to Charizard and its glowing wings to attack Castform, but he was already prepared for it. "Bring it down with a Thunder!" Castform calls upon energy from the clouds above and strikes down an extra powerful bolt of lightning which accurately strikes Charizard, knocking it right to the ground in static and pain.

"CHARIZARD! I beg of you to stand up!" Bryce calls out, his Pokémon managing to stand up on its own feet. Things were bad, even Evelyn had a hard time to keep cool against an impressive set up by Ernesto.

"Brother, I know it wouldn't be so strategic of us to plunder the bulk of his Aggron alone, but we don't have many choices..." The two nod and they both called out their next move at the same time.

"Dragon Pulse!" They heroically commanded their Pokémon to attack at the same time to increase their attack at the same time. Ernesto wasn't in any sweat from their next move, instead, he reached into his pocket, in search for something, which was his keys.

"Nice job guys, I don't mean to mean to end this match on an embarrassing note, but the crowd has been incredibly patient. I think you know what it's time for." Digging through his keychain littered with key rings, he found a particular key that really let one exciting uproar to the audience, a strange marble-like object out, an item known as a Key Stone. Suddenly, the bracelet Aggron had this whole time began to respond to the item, specifically another stone in its possession, one that enabled it to evolve past its current state!

"Aggron! Mega evolve!"

Gray and white cords of energy began to pulse through the Pokémon, it began to move vigorously, its form began to change, its power surging through its body, it roars in its new form, Mega Aggron.

"What in the fuck??" Bob jumped out of his seat to see something as awesome as Mega Aggron, Sophocles also could barely contain his excitement as he and Togademaru grasped their seat, waiting for Aggron to attack.

The attack from the brave dragons landed on Mega Aggron, but it didn't flinch upon contact. Ernesto raised his cane into the air and pointed it right towards the other side. "Welp, here's a move I like to call a combination of Thunder and Stone Edge, Aggron, Castform. Edge of Thunder." With the incredible force of Aggron's punch to the ground, pillars of rock began barreling towards the two Pokémon, Castform also bringing the cloud's lightning, delivering a devastating attack no one will not forget for quite some time. Both Pokémon could not continue.

"Incredible! Metal mountain had sealed this battle with of the coolest names in history! Both Charizard and Goodra are unable to battle! Mega Aggron and Castform wins! The victory goes to Metal Mountain!" The crowd goes crazy for the final blow to Double Trouble, Bryce returned his Pokémon into its Pokéball without saying a word.

"I... I'm sorry sister, for my disobedience..." He lowered his head, only for his sister to pick it back up.

"Threat not brother, we may have failed to achieve victory, but the day isn't entirely against us." Evelyn pointed towards the stance of the audience, as they both were able to spot Princess Isabelle clapping in satisfaction.

"Good show! Jolly good show!" She seemed happy enough t watch her friends enjoy a Pokémon battle like old times sake, even if Ernesto had their backs against the wall. Bryce ended up smiling himself and pats his sister's back as thanks.

Outside of Starlight's lounge, it was around the time for everyone to get going before the sun completely set into the night.

"You were amazing Ernesto, I don't think I have ever enjoyed a battle like that in ages!" Princess Isabelle tightly hugs Ernesto before he had to shuttle off the kids back home.

"I'm really glad you had an amazing time Princess Isabelle! I do hope we reunite one day and catch up with a cup of coffee." He climbs into his van as Isabelle nods to his offer.

"Consider it a promise from a princess!" She waves goodbye as the group heads on out, Bryce and Evelyn also wave as they returned home.

Everyone was dropped off after that, but so many trips in one time made it dark outside, so the two headed into their rooms, but before Bob stepped into the elevator to his room, he had one more thing to say to his cousin.

"Cousin Ernesto... I'm sorry I assumed I knew everything about you, today I opened my eyes to see you are truly someone else." Bob apologizes, as Ernesto grins one more look as he shook his head.

"Its okay cousin Bob. I had a good day, so I forgive you. Goodnight." Ernesto steps into his own room as Bob took an elevator to his own, but the wait to the upper floor had made him a decision.

"I gotta get me a Castform..."
