8:00 am the next day

After the day before, Ash and Serena decided to keep their relationship a secret from the rest of the group as they thought that something bad might come out of it.  Ash also made a call to Mr. Goodshow and ask that the tournament for testing whether or not they could be the new Kanto elite four go public.  Mr. Goodshow thought this was a good idea and could make a lot of money out of it and agreed to it.  Ash had also decided that he would only use his legendaries and only use each Legendary once.  Ash and Serena had also decided to share a room so that Ash did not have to pay for everybody else's rooms.  Ash had also set up that Rebal, Ritchie, and Morrison would also be sharing the room next door.  He also made sure that everybody got their own bed so nobody had to sleep together, even him and Serena.

Now, Ash and Serena were waiting downstairs for Rebal, Ritchie, and Morrison to arrive.  All of a sudden, Hoopa (Confined) came out of it's pokéball and opened a portal right in front of them.  Then the three other guys ran through the portal and into the wall the portal was against.

"I am going to assume that was a prank, right Ringer (Ash's nickname for Hoopa)."  Ringer nodded and went right back into it's pokéball after he closed the portal.  Just then, the other guys slowly started to get up and notice Hoopa's pokéball in my hand.  They then realized what happened.

"Did you really have to have Hoopa teleport us a total of about 25 feet so we could run into a wall for you two's amusement?" Rebal asked.

"Actually, that was Hoopa acting on his own, and I already told you to call him Ringer, his unbound form is Hoopa.  Anyway, we need to start heading to the stadium because the streets are going to be packed." Ash answered.

"But I thought the tournament was private?"

"Not anymore, I asked Mr. Goodshow to make it open to the public." Ash replied

"Well, what are we waiting for, lets go kick some Elite Four and Champion Butt." Morrison said as we all started heading towards the stadium."

*Time Skip*   Noon

Ash and his group were waiting in the center of the Stadium with most of the other elite four and champions were their.  Ash immediately noticed that the Champions of Alola was not there along with Elite Four Shauntal and Champion Alder who were both from Unova.  Ash then did the math and realized that Mr. Goodshow did this on purpose so that their were exactly 32 people in this tournament.  'I swear, that man is smarter than most people give him credit for.' Ash thought to himself.  Then Mr. Goodshow himself walked up onto the announcer's stage and everybody fell silent as they new he was about to speak.

"HELLO EVERYBODY, WHO IS READY FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT!!!"  Mr Goodshow said and the crowds went wild.  From the looks of it, Ash thought that their were about 100,000 people in this stadium as well as drones above the stadium so that the could record the competition for the people to want to watch it at home.  Ash immediately knew that Mr. Goodshow went above and beyond on making this competition public.

"About 3 days ago, 5 seventeen-year-olds came into my office with a proposition.  They wanted Kanto to have it's own elite four and champion and for them to be those elite four and champion.  They were lead by none other than the Master of Legends himself, winner of the Indigo league seven years ago using at most three pokémon, one of which being Mew, Ash Ketchum.  Now, to see if they were strong enough to be champion's, I held this tournament with 32 of the 35 elite four and champions, including them, to see if they were strong enough to be Kanto's elite four and champion.  Who thought that was a great idea?" and once again, people went wild at Mr. Goodshows words.

"Now, this tournament will follow certain rules saying.  First of all, every battle will be a full 6 vs. 6 match.  Also, you are allowed to use any pokémon you wish, including Legendaries.  I am talking to you Ash.  Also, like in Kanto, if your pokémon refuses to battle, you will be kicked out.  A new rule for this tournament is that if a pokémon leaves the actual stadium, it is out.  Now, lets look on the board to see who is facing who in the first round."  And with those words from Mr. Goodshow, the screen came to life and started to shuffle who would be facing who.  When the screen shuffling started to slow down, Ash saw that Serena was up against Elite Four Aaron, who which would be easy for her seeing as she had the clear advantage.  Rebal was facing Elite Four Caitlin who actually might be a bit tough.  Ritchie was facing Elite Four Siebold which should be an easy win for him.  Morrison was facing Elite Four Bruno and that should be a fun match.  Ash then saw who he was facing and his heart dropped cause he hoped that he would face her later in the tournament.

Ash, was facing Cynthia.
