After leaving route 25, Y/N headed straight back into route 24 making a stop to check if he missed anything important.

Y/N: "Hmm that Bill guy wasn't half bad, but he was a maniac for sure."

Pikachu: "Pikapi..." Pikachu nods it's head and agreed.

Y/N: "Hey Pikachu lets catch some more Pokémon before we approach the Gym leader!"

Pikachu: "Pika...." Pikachu turned away as if it, didn't seem interested."

Y/N: "You don't wanna catch any Pokémon?"

Pikachu: "Pikachu." Pikachu jumps off Y/N's shoulder and balled its paw hand into a fist with its cheeks charging electricity. Suddenly a wild Pokémon within the tall grass appeared. It had a round body cover with fur, with poison oozing from all over its fuzzy body. It also had a pincer-like mouth, stubby forepaws, antennae, but what stood out most was those red eyes that were highly developed.

Pikachu jumped up using a thundershock on the Pokémon as Y/N lunch a pokèball capturing it.

Y/N: "Huh are you serious! Pikachu you was at a type advantage! I was only looking out for you!"

Pikachu: "Pika!" Pikachu turned away from Y/N, crossing its arms.

Y/N: "Look if it makes you feel better I'll let you fight the next gym battle for sure. Type disadvantage or not."

Pikachu: "Pikapi," Pikachu turned back to Y/N and nodding its head on Y/N's promise.

Y/N: "But your funeral though! Now let's catch some Pokémon!"

The tall grass began to shake as another wild Pokémon prepared to emerge.

Y/N: "Hey Pikachu, I wanna give this Pokémon a chance. Y/N grab a hold of his new Pokémon as a blue plant bulb with a round body, beady red eyes, oval, foot-like roots, and had green leaves sprout from its head appeared.

Y/N check the incomplete info on the Pokédex learning of the Pokémon's name.

Y/N: "An oddish, hmph...seem like a Pokémon Green would catch! Alright, I don't know why he gave you to me but I'm gonna keep my promise and take good care of you! Charmander I choose you!"

Y/N summon his brand new Charmander that was given to him by that trainer. Y/N decline the offer but the trainer kept begging him to take it until Y/N given in. Since then Y/N is now glad he took the Charmander, after all, he wanted it to get just as strong as Red's Charmeleon.

Y/N: "Alright buddy uses ember." Charmander lunch out its pallets of fire which struck at the super effective damage. But something was indeed quite off. His Charmander's ember was ridiculously weak. He knew the trainer had a difficult time training Charmander but this was ridiculous. Y/N kept calling out ember just to see this oddish taking the attacks as if it was a tank. The oddish whip up a pleasant aroma that distracted Charmander. "What kind of move is that Y/N check his Pokédex learning of the move sweet scent.

This not only distracted Y/N's Pokémon but it also gathered a flock of wild Pidgey's to appear flying around Y/N and his Pokémon using wing attack on sight. One of the Pidgey's knocked Y/N's Charmander towards the water. Y/N quickly fled from the Oddish running to his Charmander's aid. He quickly was able to get close enough to return Charmander back into its ball.

Pikachu: "Pikachuuuuuuu!!!" Pikachu quickly uses a powerful thundershock which was super effective shock connecting to the flock ending the Pidgey's swarm.

Y/N: "Nice work Pikachu! I can always count on you!"

Pikachu: "Pika!" Pikachu proudly boasts only for its boast to be interrupted by a Pidgetto that scooped Pikachu from the air as it took flight. "Pikaaaa!!!"

Y/N: "Crap come on give me a break! Pikachu use thundershock!"

Pikachu: "Pika!?"

Y/N: "Just do it I'll catch you I promise!!"

Pikachu used Thundershock!" Pidgetto lost its grip dropping Pikachu into the water. Y/N dive into the water grabbing Pikachu.

As the water drift him down the line a Y/N got caught up in an odd looking fishing bait. The bait was a human model. Which felt pretty odd to him, he had no idea water Pokémon to eat humans. That was until a large, orange, fish-like Pokémon, with billowing caudal and pectoral fins that are white speckled with black charged in on Y/N.

Y/N: "oo....o!" Y/N gashed in shock losing some air but however, Pikachu's reaction was worst. Pikachu used Thundershock struck the Pokémon, Y/N, and the rod that he was up in.

The fish Pokémon fainted but as for Y/N, he could feel an enormous set of strength reeling him out the water lunch him up as if he was a fish. It was steered luck but in the air Y/N got a good look at the person who pulls him out the water with a fishing rod. To his shock, it wasn't a buff muscular man but a girl around his age. She had that style of a tomboy, but her facial and body features was that of a mermaid. She has orange short hair with a small side ponytail, greenish blue eyes that reminds Y/N of Viridian Forest. She wore a yellow crop top and jean shorts held up with red suspenders which Y/N can see most of her midriff revealed. She also had also had a red drawstring backpack as well. Oddly enough the girl looks exactly the fishing bait Y/N got caught in.

Y/N landed onto the ground holding Pikachu.

Y/N: "Pikachu...are you okay."

Pikachu: "Pika." Pikachu nods its head in relief. Their brief bond moment was interrupted by a Pokéball smacking Y/N's face.

????: "Oh shucks that didn't work!" The girl said in a sarcastic tone.

Y/N: "Ouch! What you do that for! I'm not a Pokémon you know!"

????: "Hmm...I guess you're right you're not a Pokémon! I guess I reel in an idiot!" The girl yelled out screaming into Y/N's ears.

Y/N: "Maybe you shouldn't be catfishing yourself anyways!"

????: "Oohhh will smooth we got jokes now! You really shouldn't be talking back to me considering what you just did!"

Y/N: "What are you talking about..." Y/N stop mid-sentence as the girl pointed at a bicycle attached to a fishing rod. The fishing rod didn't seem damaged but the bike damaged into pieces, but the most notable thing about it was the current of electric sparking from it. "What are you serious! when did I do that!?"

????: "You tell me! Because from my point of view my super fishing rod that was connected my bike caught something. I was all excited that I might have caught something rare when suddenly an electrical current connecting to the strings of my rod zapped my bike until it caught on fire!! After I rose up my bait, guess what I see an idiot holding an electric type Pokémon! The girl pointed at Y/N's Pikachu.

Pikachu: "Pika..." Pikachu put its head down pleading guilty.

Y/N: "That doesn't even make sense!!

????: "What you don't know lightning can cause fires too idiot! That bike belongs to me and now you owe me now! So pay me up!!"

Y/N: "Are you kidding me!! Those things are too expensive! I'm sorry I can't do it!"

????: "Well I guess we're gonna see what officer Jenny have to say about this!"

Y/N: "Officer!!" The girl started walking rolling her broke bicycle back to Cerulean city. "WAIT DON'T DO IT!!

????: "Too bad!"

Y/N: "Please you don't understand if my momma it's game over for me."

????: "Well you should thought about that before you decided to talk back to me!"

Y/N: "Look I'll promise I never say anything mean to you!" Y/N given in as the two putting his head down when they made it back to Cerulean city. That's when they walk to the girl approach a beautiful lady with deal teal blue hair, fair skin, and auburn eyes. Y/N's heart ached at first sight.

This beauty was standing in front of a house in Cerulean city.

Hiker: "Those miserable Rockets! Look what they've done to my house! They stole my TM for teaching Pokémon how to Dig holes! I was going to use it on my Mankey or Sandshrew...!"

??????? ?????: "I see... I'll be reporting this to my commissioner!"

Hiker: "Commissioner! I don't need a report I need justice! You have a Pokémon right! Just call your Pokémon and smash that punk! That TM cost me a bundle! And that punk put a knife to my wife!"

Wife: "I'm okay honey no need to take it out on the Officer she's only trying to help. Officer Jenny, I think Team Rocket must be trying to use the TM dig for no good. So if there tryna use it for something it must be planning to strike a cave.

Officer Jenny: "Thanks I'll add that to the report."

????: "Officer Jenny I need to make a report!

Officer Jenny: "You have a rocket report too!"

????: "Rocket report!?" The girl looks at the scene and just realized there was the crime scene that happened in Cerulean city. "Wait there was a problem here! Wait what happened here!"

Officer Jenny: "You don't know? These poor people here were robbed. We're positive that Team Rocket is behind this terrible deed."

????: "Team Rocket! They came here to my town on my watch!!"

Officer Jenny: "Don't feel bad. Even our police force has trouble with the Rockets! Then again, I did check the records of the citizens who lived here and aren't you Cerulean city's Gym Leader Misty.

Misty: "Uhh...yeah but don't worry my sisters were watching the gym."

Officer Jenny: "And where were you...?"

Misty: "What are you trying to say!?"

Officer Jenny: "Nothing really I just heard rumors and complainants from trainers, that your never around Cerulean when needed and you rather spend time fishing and going on dates."

Misty: "I don't see the problem here! There's plenty of gym leaders that leave there base, why don't you ask viridian's Gym leader...oh that's right you can't! Maybe you should have to get your priorities straight and maybe you just might catch the thief who did this!"

Officer Jenny: "Why you little brat!"

While the girls were bricking a man in black sneak into the robbed house.

Y/N: "........." As Misty continue bricking with Officer Jenny. Y/N blushing at her sight not paying attention until Pikachu tapped Y/N's head getting his attention. Pikachu pointed at a lingering shadow running off. Y/N's reflexes kick in as he ran off chasing the shadow. Y/N enter the family's home looking around the damaged area and hand, footprints. Y/N turned to see a man in black outside the huge hole in the middle of the back wall. Y/N chase the figure until he was trapped in a corner of the home yard. The man was in black uniform and had an "R" in the middle of his shirt

Rocket Grunt: "Hey! Stay out! It's not your yard!"

Y/N: "Says the guy who doesn't belong here!"

Rocket Grunt: "Huh? Me?" I'm an innocent bystander! Don't you believe me?" The man had his hand behind his back but at this point, Y/N was used to Team Rocket's shady tricks.

As soon as the Rocket Gunt threw his Pokéball at Y/N to summon his Pokémon at Y/N's sight. Y/N quickly match the timing by throwing his own Pokèball. The two balls bounced off by into each trainer's hands to their respective owners summoning out Y/N's Mankey while Gunt's Machop. The two fighting Pokémon have tugged a war with one another.

Y/N: "Now he has no chance when he has to fight for real!" Mankey broke it with low kick tripping machop. As machop tried to get up it was met with Mankey's karate chop which was a critical hit. Machop endured the hit grabbing Mankey.

Rocket Grunt: "Machop now shows you're Karate Chop!" Machop loosening its grip turning it into an elbow, finishing it up with a Karate chop. Mankey got more angered.

Y/N: "Alright! Used low kick one more time!"

Rocket Grunt: "Quick jump up and then use Karate chop...oh no!" The Gunt realize that Mankey wrapped its tail around Machop foot preventing it from dodging. Machop trip again by Mankey's low kick meeting up with Mankey's Karate chop once more. Machop fainted dropping to the ground. "Damn it! This brat is too strong I'll have to find a way to escape!"

Misty: "Team Rocket!" Misty and Officer Jenny caught up whipping their Pokèball's from out there pockets.

Rocket Grunt: "Dang it!! The Rocket Gunt chunk his Pokèball into the air summoning out Drowzee came out trying to quickly active hypnosis before Misty and Jenny could summon there Pokémon. this attack got Misty on her knees and made Officer Jenny unconscious. Y/N, on the other hand, evaded the attack.

Misty strong enough to keep her conscious but too weak to summon out her Pokémon. Was met with the same kitchen knife diving towards her. Y/N quickly snatched Misty, dodging the knife. While Y/N held misty in his arms.

Y/N: "Are you okay?"

Misty: "Ye...Yeah." The misty face began to blush from being held by Y/N.

Y/N: "Now Pikachu finishes this punk with Thundershock!! Pikachu lunch its Thundershock blasting Drowzee towards the Gunt. Drowzee fainted. Misty was stock to see that attack easily defeating Drowzee.

Team Rocket's Pokémon isn't really trained for battles more for robbery and other crimes but it was odd for Drowzee that had Ev in Sp. defense easily get drop by Pikachu's Thundershock.

Rocket Grunt: "Stop! I give up! I'll leave quietly!"

Misty: "Leave quietly you wish!" Misty let go of Y/N as the two walked up on the Rocket Gunt. "You're gonna return the TM you stolen!"

Rocket Grunt: "Ok! Fine, I'll return the Tm I stole! the Gunt handed over TM. 28 to Misty. "I better get moving bye!"

Misty: "Who said you're going anywhere!"

Rocket Grunt: "Says me!" Y/N quickly noticed that he also gave misty a rather somewhat big Pokèball, oddly enough this Pokèball had eyes and a face but didn't have the button in the middle like a Pokéball. That's when they realize it Pokémon.

The Pokémon began to charge up quickly as it was about to use self-destruction in Misty's hands.

Y/N: "Look out!"

Misty: "...ahh!" The Rocket Gunt quickly got up and dash off.

Rocket Grunt: "So long idiots!"

Y/N quickly snatched the Pokémon out of Misty hand throwing it as far as it can. Before the explosion can cause serious recoiled damage, Misty finally recovering her strength back was able to summon a golden-brown sea star shape Pokémon with a red jewel core in the middle quickly using the move protect instantly! Officer Jenny woken up from the hypothesis to see Misty standing above everyone as if she saved the day.

Later that day Misty easily got all the credit for saving the day, after all, it was easily believable that a Gym leader stops Team Rocket over some ten years old. The news was quickly being passed down across Cerulean city.

*Misty's POV*

Misty was heading towards the gym still bother about what happened which aggravated her. She didn't want to take the credit for what happened all she did was stop an The Gunt's trump card she wasn't there from the beginning. That boy did all the work and it was him who saved the day not her. Misty went over to visit the family who was robbed to tell them what happened.

Misty: "Hey."

Hiker: "Oh hey misty how's it going!"

Misty: "can I come in."

Hiker: "Sure thing it doesn't matter for manner's at this point I literally have a hole in the wall!"

Misty: "Umm so about what happened..."

Hiker: "Save it, I figure what's lost is lost! I decided to give that boy that help you the TM. I'm just gonna teach a Diglett how to use Dig without a TM!"

Misty: "I see..." Misty later talk with them some more and finally left. Misty was along at route 24 again as she got aggravated. Her face turned red punching a tree, "Who does that guy think he is trying to act all cool and fight Team Rocket! I bet that idiot was just trying to impress that stupid officer! Well jokes on him it backfires she thinks to stop that thug!" Misty thoughts were interrupted by a boy with a Pikachu on his shoulder catching an Oddish.

Y/N: "Ha gotta em! Good work Charmander I knew a little training was all it took!"

Charmander: "Charmander!" The boy returned his Charmander back into its Pokèball as he heads back to Cerulean city that's when he was met with Misty.

Misty: "Hey you! You really thought it was over between us after what you did to bike!"

Y/N: "Tsk, you still mad about that geez I'll find a way to pay you back."

Misty: "Well till then... I'm not letting you escape from my sights!"

Y/N: "Sure..."

Misty: "Hmm I see you're mad..."

Y/N: "Mad?"

Misty: "Everyone in Cerulean city thinks I save the day and you're not getting any credit for it...I hope that didn't break your ego."

Y/N: "Who cares what others think at the end of the day everyone made it out that situation alive with no one being harm. The hiker is okay, his wife, Officer Jenny, and you didn't get harm neither so in my books that's a win, win..."

Misty: "........" Misty blush from Y/N's comment leaving her with nothing else to say. The boy continued walking away as he heads back to the Pokémon Center leaving misty at the nugget bridge. "Owwww I hate him!!!"
