Green's POV

Green: "I'm so tired why does everyone want to battle in route 3. Sigh, at least I'm finally on route 4 and the best part my Metapod evolve into such a beautiful Butterfree." Green began to rub her Butterfree's pokéball against her cheeks. As she walked up the sandy area in route 4, she came across two boys. One was talking and the other listening. The one listening was very familiar. He had dark brown hair and eyes that can easily be confused for black, wore a red jacket with a long black shirt under with white short sleeves, blue pants and red shoes.

Guy: "Oh, wow, that's the Boulder-badge! You got it from Brock, didn't you? Brock is cool. He's not just tough. People like and respect him.

Red: "........"

Guy: "Uhh, yeah I want to become a gym leader like him."

Red: "......." Red pulled out his Pokèball pointing it at him in his way challenging him to a battle.

Guy: "Yeah I said I want to be like him, I'm not even a Pokémon trainer kid."

Red: "........," Red continued the same pose.

Guy: "Kid please stop it! What is wrong with you trainers every time someone you people see someone Y'all get all alert and challenge them to some Pokémon battle like a maniac! Do you ever wonder maybe I don't feel like battling and just passing by!"

Red: "............," red continues the same pose.

Guy: "Gosh you Pokèmon trainers sometimes I feel like I have to literally have to walk around your eyesight so you guys would leave me alone."

Green: "Red! Hey!" Green ran up on Red and his victim he preyed on for experience."

Guy: "Oh thank goddess help me, kid! Can you battle this boy for me!"

Green: "Huh no I'm not here to battle I'm just here to talk to Red."

Guy: "Oh good come to get your boyfriend and leave me be!" Green faced turned red with anger.

Green: "He's not my boyfriend!"

Red: "Red pointed his Pokèball towards Green challenging her to a battle."

Green: "Huh? No thanks, Red I've battled enough already I mean I literally had to battle a girl cause she said I looked at her funny. Green's residents failed. "Fine I see you think I'm easy money, huh, well I'll inform you that because all the Pokémon trainers I had to battle made me stronger. So come on I bet I will drop you to you're final Pokémon.

They battled it out just for Red to dominate Green with one Pokémon. After Green was defeated she blacked out, for some reason she paid Red ¥350 yen. Afterward, she scurried to The Pokémon Center further ahead protecting the exhausted and fainted Pokémon from further harm... Green accidentally pushed a girl causing her to trip on a Geodude.

Nurse Joy: "Thank you! Your Pokémon is fighting fit! We hope to see you again!"

Green: "Sigh, SIGH!"

Nurse Joy: "Do...you want me to heal your Pokémon again?"

Green: "What good would that do is not like is gonna make my Pokémon stronger!"

Nurse Joy: "Don't be like that! Losing one battle doesn't mean is the end of the world you just gotta get back out there!"

Green: "Huh! Who said I lost!"

Nurse Joy: "Huh oh..., I'm sorry most trainers scurried inside The Pokémon Center after being defeated.

Green: "I wasn't SCURRYING!!" Green mouth shut closed when she saw Red walked inside the Pokémon Center to heal his Pokémon. "Well, well, well! I guess you came to bragged how you mock the floor with me in my face!"

Red: ".........."

Green: "Oh! Got nothing to say! Just too good for me ah well fine then let's see you batting after Y/N gets here.

Red: "...........?" Red stop and actually started listening to Green.

Green: "That's right Y/N went to battle the gym leader Brock and going to get that badge just like you! He caught tons of Pokémon, and he beat Blue and he's probably already on his way here! Hmph!

Red started walking away leaving The Pokémon Center and heading towards route 3.

Green: "Hey where you going! Don't ignore me!"

Nurse Joy: "Now, now, little miss nice lady let's be a little more positive. To the kid who won."

Green: "There you go assuming again Nurse Joy! Who said I lost!"

Nurse Joy: "Huh? But...you yelled it out just now." Green faced turned red in embarrassment after realizing she caused a scene. "And please can we be a little quieter there's hurt Pokémon resting here." Green puts her head down admitting her wrongs.

Green: "Sigh, you're right I'm sorry I just wanna get stronger too training Pokémon is the easy apart but building a team is what I'm struggling at, just trying to catch a Pokémon is really tough if only I can just buy a Pokémon."

Man: "Did someone say...buy?"

Green turned to the voice and seen a shady, hairless old man walked up on Green with a sleazy smile.

Green: "Uh, hello?"

Man: "Why hello, there! Have I got a deal just for you! I just happened to sell Pokémon."

Green: "Oh! Wow really how convenient!"

Man: "Yes Indeed."

Green: "Well I'm looking for something tough, A strong Pokémon that can help me catch Pokémon, Do you have something with four arms!"

Man: "four arms? You gotta trade for that! But I got something better!" The man pulled out The Pokéball and summoned a Pokémon with large, heavy reddish-orange scales, big vacant eyes, and pink lips.

Man: "I'll let you have a swell Magikarp, for just ¥500 yen!" The man thought to himself 'Just look at this sucker, yeah she's gonna buy it alright maybe I couldn't fool that boy but I definitely can trick this noob!'
*Blue: "Are you kidding me! I wouldn't buy this crappie Pokémon even if it was Gold!"*

Green: "........uh, well Y/N taught me not to judge a book by its cover and my Caterpie evolve into such a beautiful Butterfree so why not. Green brought the Magikarp.

Man: "Just remember....no refunds..."

Y/N's POV

Y/N enter the Pokémon market after his battle with Brock to prepare for whatever next in his travels.

Dude 1: "Dude you gotta look on the bright side, good things can happen if you raise Pokémon diligently, even the weak ones."

Dude 2: "What? Train it so it can learn tackle!?" Hey, you over there with the Pikachu on your shoulder."

Dude 1: "Sigh, don't get him involved in your problems."

Dude 2: "No! This is everyone's problem! Hey. Be careful who you talked to on route 4, a shady old man got to buy this really weird fish Pokémon! It's totally weak and it cost ¥500 yen!

Y/N: "Ugh thanks," Y/N turned to the clerk of the store and brought five Pokèballs and potions each walking out. "I don't know what's more weird Pikachu, how to use the TM are these Pokémon trainers walking straight to The Pokémon Center."

Pikachu: "Pikapika." Y/N passed by a whole line full of trainers from route 3 scurried to the Pokémon Center. When he suddenly bump into someone knocking them down.

Y/N: "Oh man I'm sorry I didn't too...Red!"

Red: "........."

Y/N: "Oh man you alright I haven't seen you in like forever!" Y/N reach his hand out to red. Red grabbed his hand getting a lift off the ground. Y/N so man all kinds of crazy things happen man, this old man jumped out trying to teach me how to catch Pokémon after drinking coffee, Green battle a trainers Metapod that just kept using Harden, Oh yeah don't get me started about Green she's great to have around, but she's really sensitive.

Pikachu: "Chu!" Y/N's face turned red.

Y/N: "Find Pikachu maybe I enjoyed having her around just a little bit!"

Red: "............." Red let go of the grip on his Pokéball in his pocket and started to relax. Red began to smile and started walking with Y/N instead. It seemed that seeing the friendly Y/N he knew since the very beginning put him in a rather chill mood.

Y/N kept talking to Red about his journey until they finally reached Route 4.

Y/N: "Oh yeah I forgot to mention Brock is like a pervert who wanna breed, wait that didn't come out right."

Pikachu: "Pika!"

Y/N: well I guess I'm fair Pikachu, maybe Brock was super cool and strong as well." Y/N pulled out Gym badge from out his pocket looking at it. "This badge means a lot to me now I really hope I don't lose it."

Red: "..........," Red took a look at Y/N holding his Boulder Badge. And pulled an extra badge case from out his pocket handing it to Y/N.

Y/N: "Thank you Red, You already got your badge, I know you got one, after all, I saw you and Blue's name. Even that jerk beat Brock, hmm he must have gotten stronger after our battle."

Red: "....." Red's eyes widen remembering Y/N beating Blue at professor oaks lab. He grabbed his Pokèball from out his pocket pointing it directly at Y/N remembering why he went back to route 3 in the first place. Seeing the fiery in Red's eyes Y/N knew exactly what he wanted. Y/N and Red's eyes met as their stare at each other became a fierce flow of fire.

Y/N: "Ohh....so is like that huh well bring it! Pikachu jumped off Y/N's shoulder and started sparkling its cheeks with electric. "Hey, Pikachu I didn't choose you to wait your turn.

Pikachu: "Pikapika! Pikachu ignores Y/N. telling off.

Y/N: "What was I supposed to do! You were at a type disadvantage! What you wanted me to believe in the heart of the cards or something!

Pikachu: "Pika!"

Y/N: I'm sorry Red Pikachu just mad it didn't get to battle with Brock.

Red took a good look at Pikachu before summoning his Pokémon. Red took a liking to Y/N's Pikachu switching the Pokèball in his hand to another. Red threw Pikachu's opponent surprising both Y/N and Pikachu. Red summoned his own Pikachu.

Red's Pikachu: "Pika! Pika!"

Y/N: "Huh! You have a Pikachu too now!" No fair I thought Pikachu was a starter Pokémon. Hmph well, I'll just have to find them a way to get my hands on the other starter then. Pikachu quick attack."

Red: "........." it was in wild instinct that his Pikachu knew exactly what red wanted it to do it responded with its own quick attack. But Y/N's Pikachu was on a whole another league compare to his. Y/N's Pikachu was faster knocking Red's Pikachu on the ground. Y/N Pikachu grabbed Red's Pikachu swinging it before lunching em to a rock.

Y/N: "Now used Thundershock!" Y/N knew that Thundershock wouldn't be that effective but considering the level gap after that display against raw power in quick attack, he knew it didn't matter at this point. Y/N's Pikachu started sparkling up energy lunching it at Red's Pikachu. Red smile and nodded its head. Red's Pikachu stood still waiting for the electric to strike. Red's Pikachu was immune to thundershock gaining a charge of Sp attack. "What? His Pikachu has a different ability than mines?!"
*Y/N's Pokédex confirms The ability to be Lightning Rod*

Red: "........." Without a word Red commanded his Pikachu to used Thundershock which was twice as strong as Y/N's Pikachu thundershock. Which connected and hurting Y/N's Pikachu.

Y/N: "Pikachu!"

Pikachu: "Pikapika!" Y/N's Pikachu endures the attack still standing.

Red: Red's Pikachu continue to attack with a quick attack.

Y/N: "Just hang on Pikachu! I believed in you used Quick attack!"

Pikachu: "Pika!" Y/N and Red's Pikachu started bouncing and hopping all over the field with quick then striking each other. Red was at an advantage at first when it started but suddenly his Pikachu got slower it was struck by Y/N Pikachu's static ability. Causing it to be paralyzed then beat down by Y/N Pikachu quick attack until faint.

Y/N: "Good job Pikachu!"

Pikachu: "Pikapika!"

Red sent his Pikachu back and summoned a blue, bipedal Pokémon with a spherical body.

Y/N checked his Pokédex finding the name to be a Poliwirl.

Y/N: "Hmph, someone been catching Pokémon Pikachu used Thundershock! Pikachu struck lightning at Poliwirl But Poliwirl endured the Thundershock even though it was super effective.

Red: ".........." Red's Poliwirl used a normal unique attack that changes its move type. Being super effective making Pikachu faint.

Y/N: "Pikachu!" Y/N was able to return Pikachu back into its ball with no resistance due to it being knocked out cold. This made Y/N a little upset he didn't like returning Pikachu back into its Pokèball. He has gotten used to Pikachu keeping his shoulder's warm. "Tsk, What kind of move was that isn't Poliwirl a water type!"
Y/N's Pokédex inform him *Hidden power an attack that varies in type and intensity depending on the user.*

Y/N: "Crap he taught a water type a normal move that's can be changed to a ground type! Well, Pidgey go! Used Gust!" Y/N's Pidgey cast a set of powerful winds from its wings whipping Poliwirl with them. Red command it's Poliwirl water gun. Striking Pidgey down. Then Poliwirl quickly used body slam not only dealing serious damage but cause a paralyzed as well. "Pidgey used sand attack!" Pidgey quickly snapped up into the dust into Poliwirl eyes and got away from it.

Red's Poliwirl shot water gun but missed due to losing accuracy. Red prepared to used another water gun.

Y/N: "Used quick attack!" Pidgey sky down striking Poliwirl before water could be lunch. This knocked Poliwirl against a rock causing a critical leading to a faint.

Red: "............." This surprise Red because Pidgey was paralyzed.

Y/N: "What's wrong you're probably wondering how Pidgey managed to attack first after having its speed cut in half. You see Quick attack always goes first. Red nodded accepting Poliwirl's defeat and sent it back. He summoned his final Pokémon.

He summoned the first Pokémon he ever received during their journey but it looks quite different. It had a horn-like protrusion on the back of its head, as well as its arms being longer with three sharp claws.

Y/N checked his Pokédex with its incomplete info of The Pokémon name.

Y/N: "Charmeleon! His Charmander already evolved, shouldn't Pikachu be evolving by now as well? Tsk oh well go Pidgey quick attack!" Pidgey landed one more quick attack before charameleon finish em off with Ember. "Pidgey return. Go Butterfree! Used Confusion! Butterfree used its telekinesis to lift a bunch of rocks around the area lunching them at charmeleon. Charmeleon dip, hop up doing backflips, Lansing back on the ground Swift tilting left and right dodging all the rocks.
Quick use string shot!" But before Butterfree can slow it down it was struck by charmeleon's Ember which was super effective. Butterfree was able to wrap it in a string shot slowing it down. But before the flames of ember caused Butterfree to catch on fire. "What?! burn?!" Red's eyes light up as if they turned red and Charmeleon was in complete sync with Red. Charmeleon finish Butterfree off with setting a shock wave that inflicts the same damage no matter what!

Charmeleon unleashed Dragon rage knocking Butterfree out.

Y/N: "Mankey let's go! Because Y/N sent his other Pokémon back in the pc so he has two brand new Pokémon in his party left him with four Pokémon meaning Mankey was his last Pokémon. "Used Low kick!" Charmeleon effortlessly jumped over the low kick. It was as if string shot did absolutely nothing. It wasn't even that it was just Red's Charmeleon was just on another level. Charmeleon cough out a black smoke to be revealed Smokescreen. From there on no matter what attack his Mankey did miss due to loss of accuracy.

Y/N soon realized how it felt to lose as Charmeleon knocked Mankey out cold. To lose hope, plunge into darkness. Y/N returned his Pokémon back accepting defeat. That feeling felt completely empty.

Red sent his Charmeleon back and study his face to see what Y/N what's gonna do. His eyes widen to see Y/N raise his head up smiling in the hype.

Y/N: "Aww, man I lost! I can't believe you got so strong Red. Now there's so much I gotta do now, I might not be ready today or tomorrow but I promise you for that I'm gonna train to no end! Come on buddy let's go to Y/N was about to head to the cave until Red stopped him. Huh?"

Red: "..........." Red smiled and pointed at The Pokémon Center next to the cave.

Y/N: "Oh yeah right! Oops! Hey since we're so strong let's travel through this cave together I gotta see how you got so strong." Red nodded his head and agreed as the two approached The Pokémon Center together. "Hey Red do you think is a little convenient odd that a Pokémon center would just happen to be next to this cave?"

Red: "............"

Y/N: "Hey what you mean?"

Y/N and Red scurried over to the nearest Pokémon Center together.
