Misty's POV

Misty returns back to her gym where the gym trainers and her, cleaned up the mess her sisters left.

Misty: "The nerve of them they didn't do anything right! I seriously can't leave my gym for one second! Then they got the nerve to avoid battles by giving gym badges away! I can't believe them!! Is looks is all they think about!"

Swimmer Luis: "Hmm...hey I know this might not be supportive of me to say but don't you think refusing to challenge the boy and his Pikachu is a little too harsh."

Misty: "I don't know don't!? You think destroying something that cost too much was too much!?

Swimmer Luis: "Yeah that bike... you got for free by using a bike voucher."

Misty: "And! You act like I didn't just visit the bike shop moments ago! Why are you taking his side anyways Luis! I thought you were my supporter!"

Swimmer Luis: "Well That's the point I am Misty. That's why I want you to beat that show off."

Picnicker Diana: "She doesn't have too! Misty would have swept him right out of our gym!"

Jim Gai: "I'm not so sure about that after all, he beat you." Jim Gai enters the gym.

Misty: "Where have you been!?"

Jim Gai: "I was taking a break which shouldn't bother you. After all, guess it doesn't matter since you refuse the boy's challenge."

Misty: "So what!? You have a problem too!"

Jim Gai: "Listen I think you should reconsider battling the kid."

Misty: "Wow you too!"

Jim Gai: "Indeed, is not just my job to show the trainer the way but also my job to support you, and refusing his challenge is really petty, not to mention there are people that doubted this gym since your parents..."

Misty: "You have no right to bring them up!!"

Jim Gai: "But I do! I have been there supporting them as well I slowly had to watch your parents lose belief! ....Sigh, I don't want to see you fail Misty you've have made critical mistakes recently. You weren't around when that family was rob making the citizens here feel unsafe which is your job to keep the peace in your town, you let your sisters watch over this gym, which not only they lost to three trainers from Pallet Town but also gave gym badges away literally."

Swimmer Luis: "Even the paper Boy got one from your sister and he doesn't have any Pokémon."

Misty put her head down and turn away from her gym supporters

Misty: "I wasn't even responsible for..."

Jim Gai: "But is your responsibility to take the blame. Look I'm just saying I seen this route before and I just don't want you to end up like your..."

Misty: "I WON'T!! I want never be like them because I don't know them!" Misty got so mad she storm out from the gym covering her face.

Picnicker Diana: "Hey What was that for why were you so harsh!"

Swimmer Luis: "Yeah she's only ten years old! You didn't have to bring her parents up."

Jim Gai: "Yeah I know sometimes I forget she's only ten. But being this rude to her is what I have to be because everyone will. It doesn't matter how young she is once you take over the role as gym leader you have to give up what you want so you can guide others to be what they want. That's the essence of a gym leader."

Misty ran outside running to the golden bridge known as the nugget bridge to think to herself. She pulled out her fishing rod with her bait that was a model replica of her. But when she tried to use it she realized her fishing rod was damaged after all. Misty threw her fishing rod on the ground rather than the water. She looks into the sky more aggravated than ever.

Misty: "...Why do they matter anyways is not like I knew them..." Misty feelings for her parents were empty, she didn't care about them. To her, all she needed were her sisters, her gym supporters, what everyone else thought of her didn't matter.

She didn't know her parents and couldn't relate with her sisters on how they felt about them. She actually agrees with what others believing of them being cowards. But there was just one thing that bothers her, why did they leave sisters and her? Why couldn't they just take them with her? Were they also a reason they left and never returned? All these thoughts bother her so much it made Misty clenched her hands into a fist. After a brief moment, she decided to just accept it again.

Misty: "Question their actions isn't gonna change anything well at least not for me at least." Misty mumbled to herself while sitting on the edge of the nugget bridge.

After all her sisters were all she needed. Even know they also say negative things about her those things they said only made her wanna prove them wrong. With all that, they still help her even when they didn't have to.

She thought back on the memories with her sister and the one that stands out the most was the day she signs herself to be a gym leader. Lily walk up on first then her other sisters came and questioned her which for reason evolve into a conversation about getting a boyfriend. She wasn't the type to always go down that topic but Misty thought of having a boyfriend a few times. But every time she wanted to ask someone to Cerulean cape she end up being very rude, scaring them away. She took and she decided to sing a song.

Misty: "Sigh...how long you been standing there aren't your gonna say hello." Misty calmly ask the person who hides behind a tree. A boy with a Pikachu on his shoulder jumped out the tree doing an axe aerial from out the tree and started walking on the bridge to approach her. After getting a good look at the boy she realized it was Y/N. "So how long you been hiding up there?"

Y/N: "Not too long maybe I guess when you started singing." Y/N look at Misty with his cheeks glowing red. "I didn't know you can sing you sound pretty nice just like an...mermaid."

Misty: "Mermaid, where you hear that from? the gym?" Misty said in a sarcastic tone.

Y/N: "No I'm serious. You sound like one, well at least from the movie I watch a long time ago.

Misty: "And there you have movies aren't real."

Y/N: "But the voice behind it is."

Misty: "Aye touché." Misty began to giggle.

Y/N: "Haha, yeah."

Pikachu: "Pikachu!"

Y/N: "Pikachu think so too."

Misty: "You know I don't really like the nickname tomboyish mermaid that much, I do like girly things too."

Y/N: "Yea I feel you fishing is definitely a girl thing." Y/N said in a sarcastic tone.

Misty: "Hey!"

Y/N: "I think you shouldn't be bothered being girly I think you being cool and strong with a hidden charm behind it is enough for me to consider being beautiful." Misty blush at Y/N as she turned her head away from him.

Misty thought to herself: "What's up with him! Why is he so unpredictable! First of argues with me and now he's being all sweet to all of a sudden after I literally refuse a gym challenge from him. He must be up to something!" Misty turned back to look at Y/N who was staring into the sky.
Misty: "You know won't get a good view of the sky here you know."

Y/N: "Yeah I know, I was gonna catch this bellsprout Pokémon before I leave Cerulean city but now I don't like it anymore."

Misty: "You're leaving..." Misty said in a low tone as for some reason it made her a little sad.

She didn't realize it because how rude she was being to Y/N but it started to realize that she just couldn't be honest how she really felt. She was actually thankful that he stop that Team Rocket, but hated that she received the credit for it. But since her gym status didn't have a good look she took the credit and it only made her feel guilty, but what bothered her more was Y/N didn't care after all he said it himself "As long as everyone is okay in the end then it doesn't really matter." Y/N just peck her interested in a very confusing way. This only made her curious about him. But in the end, he's a Pokémon trainer just like everyone else and he will be leaving too.

Misty: "Y/N..."

Y/N: "Yeah."

Misty: "What kind of trainer you wannabe?"

Y/N: "Now that is something I can't just explain with just words maybe I'll tell you another time." Y/N started walking away with Pikachu following.

Misty: "Hey that's not the way out of Cerulean you're heading the wrong way!" Misty began to follow Y/N. "You're trying to avoid me are you!"

Y/N: "If you wanted to come along all you had to do was say so."

Misty: "I'm not following you! I was heading that way anyway!"

Y/N: "Well I guess we can continue talking then."

Misty: "Guess!? Who said I wanted to talk to you anyways! You came upon me!"

Y/N: "Yeah I guess you're right, I do wanna talk to you." Misty face was blushing so much it was to a point her whole face was red.

Misty: "Ahh!! If you keeping talking to me! I'll! I'll beat you up!"

Y/N: "I wouldn't let you Pikachu got my back right buddy."

Pikachu: "Pikapi." Pikachu shakes his head.

Misty: "Hey! Pikachu stay out of this! This is between me and him Pikachu!"

Pikachu: "Pikachu," Pikachu nods its head again and accept Misty's request.

Y/N: "Hey Pikachu I thought you were on my side!"

Pikachu: "Pikapi,"

Misty: "Haha, Pikachu understands, and besides you still have a bike to pay back so you can't leave until you pay it back! I know you can get a job somewhere here maybe the bicycle spot."

Y/N: "No way I get more money just by having Pokémon battles, and besides he's a jerk!"

Misty: "Yeah he is the screw you over too."

Y/N: "Who haven't he screw over. I wonder how you got a bike in the first place?"

Misty: "Ha, is a secret! You'll have to do something for me if you want me to tell you.

Y/N: "Sigh, I'm good."

Misty: "Hey you don't even know what it is yet!"

Y/N: "I owe you too much already. I'm already in debt to you forever."

Misty: "But this can get you out of debt."

Y/N: "I don't care anymore being indebted to you isn't all too bad."

Misty: "Oh yeah that's what you want I guess I haven't given you enough hell yet!"

Y/N: "Wait I was just playing please don't do anymore!"

Misty: "You must think I'm not strong enough!"

Y/N: "Huh I don't know that but then again... I'm going to get stronger so strong that I'll be above all you gym leaders, hmm maybe like the elite four.

Misty: "The elite four no way you won't even

Y/N finally stop walking as he made his destination Misty look at her surroundings and remembered this spot to be a very familiar spot. The beautiful seashore of water she loved so much, and the glazing sunlight that came from the sunset. It was a beautiful setting to make a girl fall for someone in a fairy tale. It was all too good that it felt like fate. It was the setting for a confession. This spot Misty visited often along, a spot she put all her hope in. She never thinks too much about it when it came to romance but when it came to it she always considered this place to be an ideal place, and that place was Cerulean Cape.

Pikachu: "Pika!" Pikachu tapped Y/N's shoulder getting his attention. Y/N turned to see the sunset. Pikachu jumped off Y/N's shoulder and walked up next

Y/N: "Wow this place looks pretty nice. Hey, Misty look at that...Misty?"Y/N turn to where Misty was starting into the sunset. Y/N blush as couldn't get his eyes off of Misty. To him, at that moment the only person he could see was Misty's beauty. His heart began to ache fast beating fast to the point he could no longer see Misty the way the original did.

Misty: "Y/N...you still haven't told me why you wanted to be a Pokémon trainer." Misty said still staring into the sunset as her eyes shine brightly. "You don't know do you?"

Y/N: "....uh.....I."

Misty: "Is okay is to soon to know anyways. Do you know why I wanted to be a gym leader?"

Y/N: "Umm to be as strong as the Lorelei from the elite four."

Misty: "Yeah how you did you know that?"

Y/N: "I just assumed most girls usually wanna be like her."

Misty: "Well you're still wrong though. What're your parents like?"

Y/N: "How my family like well she's the type to expect a lot out of me Lucky enough I never really let her down, I'd guess is from tough love. And my da...?"

Misty: "Is okay you don't have to tell me anymore, I don't really know how parents like but I do know one thing they were gym leaders, and maybe I don't wanna be like the cowards they were but I do one to see there point of view. I will grow and someday I'll be a water type master! I'm sorry I guess getting stronger is something I shouldn't talk about in one of these, haha." Misty started laughing while blushing.

Y/N: "Haha, I prefer you do." Y/N said as he walks up to misty.

Misty got closer to Y/N as she looks back to him. The two end up blushing towards each other. Pikachu wasn't paying attention to the two as it continued to look at the sunset.

Misty: "Y/N."

Y/N: "Misty."

The two lock eyes to each other Misty wasn't the type to be direct by her feelings and didn't know what was next but Y/N knew what was next. He leans closer to Misty to her surprise she caught on becoming in sync with Y/N. She closed her eyes and got even closer.

Right before there lips connect something felt out of Y/N's pocket hitting Pikachu's head.

Pikachu: "Pika! Chhuuuuu!!!!" Pikachu started unleashing its Thundershock due to being suddenly alerted.

Misty & Y/N: "Whaaaaaa!!!! Y/N and Misty got caught in the shock completely stopping everything they were about to do before anything became official.

Y/N: "Heeyy Pikachu What was that For Why you get over here!! Y/N began to chase Pikachu around and completely forgotten what he just drops. He then stops when he saw Bill's home. "Oh yeah, I forgot that's why I came back here I just remembered. Pikachu came back to Y/N realizing Y/N gave up on the chase.

Misty: "Uhh....zz!" Misty shook her head to snapped out the buzz from being the shock.

Y/N: "Hey Misty!"

Misty: "Whaa...I mean yeah!" Misty face blushing as her feelings were all over the place now realizing what Y/N was about to do.

Y/N: "I forgot that I was doing a favor for Bill that someone else didn't. He wanted me to give him this chip or whatever I'll be right back."

Misty: "Uhh...seriously! Fine hurry up!"

Y/N: "Definitely!" Y/N response only may Misty blush to the point she couldn't anymore. Y/N ran off inside Bill house leaving Misty thoughts all over the place.

Misty: "Whaa!! What's gotten into him! So soon he's acting so...mature, Is he really my age! What am I doing whaaa! Misty's heart was beating so fast making her pace herself back and forth to the point she kicked a pebble into the water. That's when she looks down and notice a red device that looks like a Pokédex. "Oh Y/N drop his Pokédex, hehe, that goofy ball he's always moving forward without thinking...I guess he does need someone next to him to make sure he doesn't slip up...maybe someone strong too. What am I saying! She picked it and started looking at it. "I'll just tell that idiot he drop his Pokédex why a clumsy guy he is. Hmm... he's always catching Pokémon I wonder how many Pokémon he got. Hmph is not like I care anyways is just what if I do end up battling him yeah just checking how strong he could be!"

Misty look inside Y/N's device where she discovers something extraordinarily odd about his Pokédex. There wasn't a description of Pokémon at all but rather people instead. Full of trainers of Kanto which something that disbursed her it was mostly filled with info of female trainers. Telling the user, there desire favorite food, nickname, weight, nickname, birthday, chest sizes. It was a guide for complete perverts. Misty's eye began to twitch as she completely went 360 when she saw she was on the device. What she was holding in her hand was Y/N's brand new device the fame checker.
She finally had an answer for Y/N. A perverted dog who needed to be punished.

Misty: "So that's how is gonna be I should have known you were up to something!" Misty had fire in her eyes ready to crush Y/N.

Y/N: "Hey Misty I'm back man Bill is a real chatterbox thanks for waiting. ...Misty?

Misty: "Hey Y/N I accept your challenge!"

Y/N: "Huh?"

Misty: "Come on! You know you can't enter the league with this gym badge!" Misty pulled out the cascade badge. "Take this challenge while you have the change!"

Y/N: "Uhh...Okay?" Y/N didn't know the Suddenly change in Misty but he knew he needs to battle her at some point he was just disappointed it was now. "So when are we gonna?"

Misty: "Whenever you're ready I'll be waiting Misty started heading back to the gym." Misty threw the fame checker at Y/N hitting his head.

Y/N: "Ouch What was that for!? Huh...?" Y/N look down at it device. "Oh, when did I drop this? Uhh, thanks! By the way, the sunset is about to go away don't you wanna enjoy the..." Misty walked away leaving Y/N with a lot on his mind.

Misty enter the gym with complete hatred in her eyes.

Swimmer Luis: "Hey Misty welcome back we finish cleaning the pool in the gym. So I guess is time to go?"

Misty: "Not yet I got a challenger on the way!"

Jim Gai: "I see you change your mind."

Misty summon out her strongest staryu from out her Pokèball.

Misty: "Oh staryu! Misty pull out an glowing blue peculiar stone out. And look staryu dead in it's red gem which alerted Staryu.

Staryu tried to escape but it was trap in a corner. Staryu cried out one word it will never be able to say again.

Staryu: "STARRYYUUUU!!!!!!"
