My first instinct was to ignore what I just heard but after what Blue had just said to Red. Keep in mind, I knew Blue for the longest time. They have been childhood friends for a while now. But I could sense the negativity from his words that were rubbing off on him.

Did you just call him a loser Blue?

"You've known for quite sometime how I feel about Red's motives."

"No I have not however; I feel like calling him a loser is not helping his motivation whatsoever."

The boy walked up to me, standing straight up in his haughty posture above my eye-line, sticking his chest out to show dominion over me. He looked rather irritated from my response. Shifting his eyes from mine to Red's. I could tell he was rather vexed to be in his presence and was especially irritated with my response.

"If you showed to be rather particular about your moves and relying on the power of your Pokémon in our last battle Red. You would have beat me in half the time in our second bout."

"You two battled twice?" I Inquired with raised eyebrows.

"I sure missed you Leaf!" Smiled Blue with a wide grin.

"I battled him on Route twenty-two and before nugget bridge."

"And he beat you... twice?"

"Don't try and rub it in." Said Blue with displeasure.

"Well don't call him a loser, he's the one that beat you and if you train your Pokémon better you can prove to be superior at holding him off in any competition."

"Touche."

I knew that Blue was better than that, he doesn't know how far he has gone with his rants against his opponent. Rivals don't need to be mistreating others this way and I knew that his behavior was hurting the relationship Red cared about the most.

"Now that that's out of the way, we haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" I asked sincerely.

"Same as you guys I am sure, Team Rocket causing nothing but trouble and had a bit of a run in with Team Love grunts as well as their leaders."

"Team Love is here?" I quirked with curious gesture.

"Been on the tail with one lately. She is a member of the fourteen."

Fourteen? No, that can't be right. They are native to Johto and I understand why their grunts would be roaming and scheming with the other organization. But a member of fourteen? There needed to be a reason as to why they were here in the Kanto region in the first place.

"Did you see the logo patch she was wearing on the outside of her robe?"

"She had a purple diamond etched along her abdomen. She looked to be a bit older than you by a few years Leaf but she has like this shiny blue hair color. A bit more reserved of the fourteen apostles but she has experience in Pokemon battles."

"Did she battle you?" I asked.

"She did, however she lost by my hand. After her defeat she took a Pokemon away from a trainer. I'm trying to track down her whereabouts. Heard a rumor that she is somewhere near this cabin." He said while gesturing to the Pokemon cabin a few feet ahead of us.

The Diamond of Three, I know her well.

"They call her the Diamond of Three, she is a formidable foe. I would use caution against battling her."

"You know about their inklings here in Kanto as well?" Inquired Blue.

"Team Love had taken me when I was a little girl, you of all people know this Blue." I affirmed. Knowing that Professor Oak would tell him all about my escapades with them. Being his grandpa and all.

"Indeed. Well, even they didn't have the ability to contain your passion for freedom."

I nodded in agreement with Blue. I understood that my desires had continued to sway the organizations constraint. Now, the real question was, how close behind or ahead was she?

"Do you know her name Leaf?" Inquired Yellow half whispering.

If she's the Diamond of three, I know exactly who she is. Her name is Penny Whisp."

"Penny eh!?" Inquired Blue while stroking his chin.

"Wouldn't surprise me, she was all about announcing herself by her epithet and her first name." He continued.

"We'll need to keep an eye out." I assured.

As soon as I said those words there was a loud thud coming from within the Cabin. What was strange about this sound was you could hear scuffling afterwards. Which meant there was more than one person inside.

"Did you hear that!?" I asked with a surprised look.

"Don't tell me—

"Shhh.." I motioned for them to be quiet as I crept in closer to the sounds coming from within the wooden shelter.

What followed were loud yelps, and several expletives and taunts that we could barely make out from how muffled it was inside.

We inched our way closer, desperately trying to hear whatever it was that was going on. I couldn't help but come to the conclusion.

If Blue mentioned that he was following Penny's trail to the route we are currently on than there could be no doubt.

My fears were all but confirmed as I heard what sounded like a lower tone female voice.

Diamond of three is in there alright.

I motioned for each of us to surround each side of the front wooden doorframe. I could hear what amounted to a frightened old woman doing her best to hold her cool under pressure. While this stranger impeded her space, ushering in uncomfortable motions of violence.

"I can't let you have that Meowth. He's just a baby and waiting for the return of his trainer." She said with a frightened tone.

"You either give it up or I'll take her with me." Said Penny.

There was no time to waste. In order to save this poor old woman from Penny, we needed to confront her and battle her before she attempts to steal these Pokémon. I unzipped the inside of my bag pocket and pulled out Angel's capsule. The rest of my crew followed suite by preparing to raid alongside me.

"On my signal." I warned with gesture.

"Please this is a Daycare for Pokémon if you take them from me. How am I supposed to let the trainer know you took them?"

"Figure it out, Team Love's not going to give up finding the ones we care about most. When you love your Pokémon like I do. You do anything to make sure they are set free." Said Penny.

"Three."

"Please! I'm just an old lady don't threaten me with your Pokémon. All I have are the Pokémon I'm watching—

"Two."

"Release the Meowth or I'll grant you mercy from this awful world!" She threatened while aiming her Poké ball squarely against the old woman's face.

"Please-no!—

"One—

Bam!

Swinging the doors hinges aggressively against the wall. Red, Blue, Yellow and I swarmed to face the girl near the desk. Closing the gap on her with our capsule devices raised. We were intent on shutting down Penny's operation for good.

"Put down the Poké Ball and turn around Penny!"

"Black...Clover?" She Inquired as she turned to face my eyes. She admittedly looked just as stunned to see me of all trainers roaming around these routes herself.

"L-lea—

"In the flesh, Diamond of Three. Start talking, what are you doing so close to Vermillion in the first place?"

She did not know what to say. Penny was just completely taken aback that I was in her presence this whole time and I've been gone from Team Love for over seven long years.

"Leaf it's been ages!"

To me this was not a reunion and I was of course not happy to see her. She's just as cunning, if not, more dangerous than the grunts you would come across that were recruited to fight dirty to steal.

This girl was on a mission and she wanted something that she loved, plain and simple. If it was something she loved with all her heart. She was willing to sacrifice anything to obtain it.

Two grunts surrounded her from all openings on each side that was pressured by my friends. They were hot and ready for a fight. To engage an enemy that was elite in her class and not as understood culturally within the Kanto region.

I could tell It was going to be a tough battle on the offset.

It was time to show her a lesson in pain.
