Part 13. Pewter Museum Of Science

Three days after my Gym battle with Leader Brock and reuniting with my best friend Red. It felt  like everything I had ever dreamed it would be. The surprise was well worth the battle I had with Brock that it came to pass so suddenly. Now I'm at a point where all I could ever do the whole time, was look at him.

My face blushed with intemperate predominance that I had no way to really formulate into words how he had been all this time.

It's like; he already witnessed the entire world around him. He looked, mature, being perspicacious about things envisaged before him. He had a more chiseled look about his features.

His piercing golden-brown eyes and those coal black eyelashes. Even though he was only still about my age. He seemed to have grown into a man I've never come to know before. He was not the Red I once knew; he was a bubbly, loud child back then but; he had changed somehow. Like he had seen a reservation of knowledge. Whether good or ill, it sure quelled within his noggin that he had not seen me for quite sometime either. He could certainly see that I wasn't the same old Leaf either.

He looked back at me as he held onto the straps of his bag. Gazing into my eyes; he never said a word to me. Then turned to face ahead but grinning back at my flushed pink sacs about my cheeks as I gazed back at him.

He seems more... introverted. Not that it was a bad thing.

He looked quite attractive with his white trimmed and bright red baseball cap and similar colored vest. He certainly had the look of an Ace Trainer waiting anxiously for more sporty competition.

He's more of a jock than I remember him being.

Is he happy to see me?

I could not infer based on his thoughts but he seemed happy about something.

Yellow to my right had also not been saying anything the whole walk we had toward the end of the mountainous region of the city. It was awkwardly quiet as our steps paced along the rough-rocky gravel road.

What I found precarious about Red and Yellow were their connections to their common sidekicks. Both Pikachu were on their shoulders and would be staring at each other for quite some time. Exchanging smiles as each of them walked respectively about me.

"Pika?" Shouted Red's young and experienced Pokémon.

"Pika-pi!" Yelped Yellows respectively.

I knew there was some form of attraction as I could easily identify Yellows and Red's Pokémon's genders quite easily. Red's Pikachu had the same jagged tail like Yellows, but you could tell there was a difference. Red's had a sharp pointed end. Meaning his was a male, while Yellows Pokémon had a heart shape end on hers.

Awwww.. they're in love!

What perplexed me the most about Yellow however. Was that he had tipped his hat down, as if avoiding something from my strange new friend's view. I could not gather how or why he was placing his hat down in order to avoid eye contact but it sure looked like Yellow was embarrassed about something. I didn't know what that was however?

Yellow's probably not used to strangers either.

The plan for us three at this point was to make sure we explored a bit more of the town. We had stayed the night at a motel before. Caught a few Pokémon along our path and we were about to hit up the outskirts of the city itself.

We wanted altogether to take our time to visit the place referred to the locals as Pewter Museum of Science. As there seemed to be a certain history about fossil Pokémon that we could probably learn and advise Professor Oak on.

There were rumors from the locals saying because of the advancements in technology.
We could actually revive Pokémon from the prehistoric time period and bring them back to life. Which would be an amazing discovery altogether.

I wonder if they have any other scientific hypothesis that could lead us to more answers on how Pokémon from other time periods can interact within the living world currently around us?

The environments themselves would not be an easy thing to be accustomed too. Especially if it involves the major changes the Earth had to go through. Like landmass and Pokémon habitat, also climates changing over time could affect the outcome on whether they could function in our world.

All these thoughts, got me excited to visit this location more.

"Hey Red, who do you think we'll meet when we get to the museum?" I asked curiously.

"......" Paused Red, shrugging his shoulders with indifference.

"There's probably a whole slew of information on fossilized Pokémon." Said Yellow with a surprised grin.

"Have you both ever found or seen fossil Pokémon before?" I asked them.

They both shook their heads, showing how unaware they were about certain Pokémon from the previous time period.

"They must be super mysterious creatures." I exclaimed excitedly.

As we paced towards the building. You could see an entrance that lead into a booth. A young man with glasses and a long lab coat had remained behind a table. He looked to be the main clerk running it from the front.

When you looked at the building from the outside. It had a dome at the top and had a light blue color to it. Trimmed with red windows and had six prominent trees right alongside it.

This museum is beautiful. No wonder Brock encouraged us to check out this tourist location.

It was massive alright, with a second set of windows that lead up to the top floor of the building. It certainly stood out among the residents in the neighborhood. It was our second tourist location we wanted to visit after the PokéMart before we entered Route three.

"Well, should we go in?" I inquired.

They both nodded in consensus.

We paraded our way into the main entrance and the sliding glass doors revealed a massive lobby filled with glass display cases with bones. There were also paintings of different prehistoric Pokémon that you would not find anywhere else.

"Wow!" I exclaimed jauntily.

Red and Yellow both looked like they were just as surprised as me. Examining the building with buoyant twists. Their mouths just as agape as mine were.

"Good evening." Said the clerk eyeing us with exultant praise.

"Hello there," I said as I politely bowed my head before him.

"Did you all come to visit the museum?" He asked.

"We were wondering if we could have a tour around the place? We came to learn if there was any connection between our world and the Pokémon world before ours?" I asked affirmatively.

"Ah-yes, I have just the man you want to see." Shirked the tall thin clerk.

"Who might that be exactly?" I prodded curiously.

The man plodded his steps toward the left exit of the front desk. Grinning pompously as he held his glasses between the rim of his nose. His red hair swaying with exuberance as he chuckled about himself.

"That man is me, Solress, Professor of Archaeology and Astronomy." He exclaimed with proud energy.

Well this man is certainly pestilential. I wrinkled with confusion.

But hopefully he can show us around some of the best parts of the museum to answer more?

I wanted to internalize all that I could about Pokémon after all.

We were ready now more than ever. I couldn't wait to let the fun of Pokémon education begin.
