Part 110. Ariana and Archer's Mission

The two Rocket Executives met with Solress outside of the main tent as the sizeable cylindrical tank sat cozily along the ridge line of a massive root underneath Eden. Ariana no longer wore her usual Rainbow Rocket outfit from when she appeared through the StarWarp; the same can be true for Archer. Ariana's hair recently got trimmed down with a small red curl strand flowing before her nose. Archer had gotten a bit of a clean-shaven haircut with short, rounded blue hair to impersonate the Boss.

The Rocket Executives were adorned in a jumpsuit similar to their Leader Giovanni's, and a meeting was about to convene on the first order of Operation concerning Project Genesis Mewthree. Solress sat comfortably at a long table while tens of male and female Rocket Grunts were present during the Boss's first mission.

"Welcome to the Genesis Project, it's been slow going as usual with the machine being developed, but now with the cooperation of Team Love we are able to make it happen. The capture of the Ancestor on that tree is about to begin....Ahem. Archer, Ariana are you two even paying attention?"

The two barely woke up from a tiny nap after Solress opening the meeting with the most boring formality imaginable.

"We do sir!" They all declared after being slapped senseless by the two Grunts beside them.

"Even though you both are higher ranked, you two never take these plans seriously, do you," queried a young purple-haired female Grunt beside them.

"Good, this is where you two will come into play, you will find the Ancestor Pokémon, and after you have captured him alive, we'll fuse his DNA within the newly developed device. The EM Resurrector 3000! After we place the combined DNA of Mewtwo and the very first Pokémon to have ever existed on this planet. It will form an even more powerful specimen, one even more powerful than Mewtwo himself." Gestured Solress to the machine so that everyone within the campsite could take their time to witness it in all its splendor.

The machine had several protruding tubes that seemed like they threaded the lines with dark rope and stitched them together. The pipes lead along the tree and are connected to a power station thirty feet from the main campsite. These ten large generators coiled to the EM Resurrector machine and the machine itself had a large cylindrical glass tube inside. The capsule usually had a rectangular opening for when other scientists would try to revive fossils to life, but instead of the usual space for the fossil. The tablet had a start near the top and a small retractable tray that would hold the essence of the Mewtwo in place.

This small tray protruded outward, and Solress approached the grey machine with the vial of Mewtwo's flesh and blood and placed the small vial carefully within the lid. Once the motor pulled the essence of the Mewtwo that they snagged from the other dimension inside. The machine hummed and pulled the fluid from the vial into the giant glass capsule that swirled flesh and blood together like a miniature blender, mixing the ingredients needed for their project to begin.

"That does it then!" Smiled Solress with a wicked and satisfying grin on his face.

"Do we begin the mission today?" Cried out Ariana in her absolute boredom, arms raising back and forth from watching him get excited over some stupid fluid.

"YES! You two will retrieve Mew for me. Once we have that Pokémon from up there." He gestured to the top of the Eden tree for them to begin. "Your mission is to take the Mew straight to me and then to the Boss, understood?"

"You don't give us orders, quit trying to pull rank Solress; you are a scientist not a powerful Executive like us." Informed Archer with arms folded to the man who continued to charge them.

"In any case, the boss is very pleased with the results this machine will bring us, keep up the good work Dr. Solress." Smiled Ariana with fake profound gratitude.

Without warning, a loud siren went off from the camp's outskirts. Hundreds of Kangaskhan were breaching outside the East barrier of the campsite, and everyone that had reinforced its border was on high alert from the large herd of Pokémon heading their way.

"Everyone look out!" Shouted a muscular male Grunt on top of the lookout tower.

"It's a stampede!" Shouted another slender, more blond female Grunt at the bottom of the barrier.

"Ah, you have got to be kidding me!" Yelped Archer with an astonished bead of a sweat.

"I thought we reinforced the barricades Dr." Turned Ariana to the somewhat nervous Professor Solress, who was desperately holding fast to his already precious machine.

"We did! But it seems that there are more Kangaskhan than I originally anticipated. Something must have spooked them to be able to come this way." Seethed Solress as he tried desperately to wrap his head around how they reacted in such a manner. "Tch! I'll hold them off, you two go and fulfill your mission!"

The two of them nodded and galloped along a massive root that led up the trunk of the gigantic jungle tree. Ariana and Archer were not done with their objective. Suppose anyone or anything would hinder their plans from being set back by a bunch of Trainers like us or Pokémon. It was now or never for the both of them.

"Archer, use your Weezing," encouraged Ariana to his twin.

The male Executive nodded and pulled out his Poké Ball to release the gaseous Pokémon known as Weezing, the evolved form of Koffing. Weezing had protruding holes on the exterior of his body that fired a poisonous gas, but it also helped propel the Pokémon in the air. The color of his murky coat was lavender, and he had a skull and bones emblem on the bottom of his chest. His mouth was wide, and his eyes were slender. The Pokémon had two faces, one main face with the skull and bones and another smaller one with a different, less severe personality, and each of their heads was attached to an even more petite frame, forming more of a nucleus or two domes into one structure.

"Grab hold of my hand Ariana." Encouraged the Executive as she held fast to his.

"Ah, I gotcha!"

Archer heaved and pulled Ariana on top of the massive Weezing, and they both rested on their two bulbous-shaped heads. Once Weezing grasped the situation, he readjusted the top heavyweight of the two Rockets and started floating them upward toward the top of the tree. All of the Executives were watching the commotion below as the Kangaskhan began breaching the confines of the three southern walls protecting the camp from the outside.

"Do you get the feeling that somehow, this is not working out as planned."

"I mean, when has anything ever gone according to plan?" Quipped Archer astutely.

"Good point, I mean, we just dimension traveled and yet they ask us to find Mew; how are we even supposed to find him," inquired Ariana to her friend Archer.

"From my understanding it will be difficult to find, a Mew is like finding a needle in a haystack. It's like a one and a million."

"Do you think that will even be possible, even if the boss expects us to find it?"

"We'll find it, a Pokémon usually doesn't stray to far from its home. The first Mew they ever found that wasn't even alive was in Guyana South America, the second known habitat and it has been declared endangered is here in the Safari Zone. If he is on this tree, which no Trainer has ever dared climb until now, we may be close."

"I hope you are right."

While the two Rainbow Rocket Executives continued to climb up the tree, Solress was left to hold off his forces at the camp's base.

"Everyone keep the Kangaskhan at bay! Where is Virginia and her stupid brat friend?!"

"Who are you calling my stupid brat friend?" She inquired through her helmet as she rode her motorbike straight toward the rampaging Kangaskhan as they breached the wooden doors and stampeded through the entrance of the southern campground. She clipped her bike into third gear and punched the gas handle as the engine of her motorcycle churned. Virginia leaped off her bike, landed on top of her Charizard that she just summoned in the air, and flew directly overhead of the Kangaskhan.

"Flamethrower Charizard!" She commanded to her scaly beast.

The flying lizard quickly obeyed and blasted a massive amount of flame from his jaw, consuming the hoard below.

"You stupid bitch! You will be lighting the whole entire camp on fire! What are you doing?"

"Not listening to you luckily." She smiled toward Solress with an obvious and insidious tone.

"You may have been on Team Rocket with me before, but just because you got more powerful, doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want. We need to avoid more collateral damage, if they damage the machine we are done for!"

"Yeah-yeah-yeah! Put a sock in it, I don't work for you anymore. However, I will fulfill my mission."

"What mission!?? What the hell is more important than protecting this godforsaken camp?"

"Stopping Leaf at all costs." She assured the frantic scientist below her.

Suddenly, a massive Poké Ball attached to a winding string whistled from out of the dust of the stampede and struck the young Trainer's cheek, launching her off her Charizard and down toward the charring hoard of Kangaskhan below. Virginia landed on the ground and rolled with a continual force that nearly knocked the air out of her lungs from the impact, and once she could regain her bearings, she looked ahead of her.

"Wha-ah-who?" She couldn't identify the details but noticed a trainer approaching her.

Yellow landed briskly on the ground and, with a furrowed brow, stared stone-cold right toward his opponent. He rolled back the reel along his fishing rod and swiftly released Dodrio with even more excited exuberance to fight again.

"I'm not going to allow that to happen Virginia, Leaf will find your headquarters and destroy it, we'll make sure that happens and there ain't a damn thing you are going to do to stop her."
