Synopsis:

Leaf and company embark on an adventure up the Pokémon Tower in an attempt to rescue Cubone and Gastly. Lieutenant Surge lies in wait for the Trainers as he uses his capture as leverage to try and meet with a mysterious man known to the locals of Lavender Town as Mr. Fuji.

The journey will be difficult, and as Leaf has to encounter her demons and not let the Spirits of the dark fester with her emotions. They agree to have a Channeler join with them and ensure that other dangerous, wild Pokémon do not become their impediment.

Before they reach the final floor, Leaf is possessed by a known Spirit, her kindred capture in Rock Tunnel and soon discovers that she is able to manage her fear after this spirit inhabits her body. During the cohabitation they make a pact that with reuniting with Cubone, they'll end the Curse that prevents all trainers from advancing up the Tower.

The very curse of The Mother of all Souls according to legend, allows her restless grave to defend her haunting at all costs. Will these trainers be able to face this terrifying threat alone or will they be consumed by her power?

Welcome back y'all, what an epic journey it has been for our characters to have finally made it to the Mr. Fuji Arc, Pokémon Tower's stakes just got high as they worked their way up toward the top and I can't thank you enough with all the interaction we've had thus far.

Currently, we are at 31k views, 1.3k upvotes and over 5K COMMENTS and I gotta say, I'm absolutely proud of these metrics. We've been able to surpass commenting engagement to my wildest expectations/goals and I hope that these comments continue. Because your feedback really means the most to me when it comes to writing out this amazing, chronicled Adventure Story.

After writing out this arc, there were several places that I potentially wanted it to go, though after having to self contain it to about eight chapters. I was at least grateful that I was able to think about where I wanted the ending to go and so far I'm very pleased with the results.

One of my favorite things about writing characters is being able to flesh out their back stories when the need arises for the plot. My hope was to get around to explaining the backstory of a current favorite villain OC that Blue had an epic scuffle with in the previous chapters (Penny) but since I've introduced Violet as a potential Pokémon that Leaf would have on her team. I wanted to flesh him out even further and since I introduced him way back since Volume 5 of this book. He became very pivotal for the plot leading up to Mr. Fuji.

You'll learn that Violet was a key character for setting up this final part two arc of Lavender Town and yet his motivations and courage are what was helping our main character succeed in structuring her PTSD and mental illness. Keeping in mind also, that Haunter himself had not completely healed or mended her anxiety as it's still apart of who she is as a character and that she'll continue to learn to come to grips with it moving forward. It's what helps her to be relatable and grounded.

I wanted a ghostly character with those qualities to help counter act and balance Leaf's fears and Violet (Haunter) fit that bill perfectly.

He's becoming one of my favorite Pokémon that Leaf owns and maybe as they continue to train together. They'll be able to learn and grow as a result. Violet may have a temper and when he loses someone he loves. He fights for him/her with an eternal  zeal that cannot be understated. Violet is loyal and ever since he possessed her the first time in Volume 5. He caught a glimpse into her mind, and has grown to love and appreciate her more even as she struggles to find out who she really is.

I absolutely loved the parallels that I wrote in this chapter showing the similarities to Cubone and Leaf. Their qualities are what remind our Pokémon character, Violet how important friendships and relationships are to him as an individual.

But I've had a blast writing this arc, however, in the next one. We'll go over the villainous girl Penny and her relationship with Team Love. After that is complete, it's off to the next town where our main character will finally take on the fourth Gym Leader Erika and I cannot wait to see where these characters go from hereon!

Also, just a heads up. More character moments incoming for Trainer Yellow, keep an eye out for those.

Curtains drawn and Leaf enters left stage toward center with paper In hand.

"Er-herm!"

"Welcome back to the intermission, Bossun gave to me a list of questions to ask. All you have do is answer them with a comment."

"Yeah so!?" Entered Blue from stage right.

"So, we're gonna answer them you dolt!"

"Ah-right, then what's the first question then?"

"I'm going to let you answer them." Leaf said shoving the paper in his face.

"Agh!" He flailed, trying to grasp the paper as it flung from his grip.

"Er-herm!" Said Blue clearing his throat.  Okay, well.... I can't read this in his handwriting, what's it say?" He asked handing the parchment closer to Leaf.

"It says, what was your favorite chapter of volume 8?" She asked while glaring at him.

"Ah, right! And I guess I should add, which Pokémon would you like to see make an appearance in the next volume? It must be region locked in Kanto and is specific to Route 7 and Celadon."

Yellow makes an entrance from left stage toward center.

"What are you guys doing?"

"We're reading a list of questing that Bossun asked us to read out loud to the audience, care to give it a whirl?" He said shoving the crumpled paper to Yellows soft, freckled face.

"I camft vread!"

"Say what squirt? I can't hear you?—"

"Gah, give me that! You guys don't even know how to phrase the questions." Said Leaf.

"Who is your favorite Supporting Characters in this story, me, Red, Yellow, or Blue?"

"Me obviously!" Shouted Blue.

"What about me!?" Yelped Yellow with excitement.

"You're a nobody!"

Yellow glared at him.

"You sit on a throne of lies!"

Red exits from right stage toward center and takes the paper from Leaf.

"Well Red, are you gonna ask your next question?" Inquired Leaf.

The boy looked at the parchment then out toward the audience.

"................."

"I guess."

"Well, out with with it already you idiot!" Exhaled Blue in frustration.

"Keep your mouth shut!—

"Who is your favorite Pokémon in the Kanto Region?"

Curtains suddenly close over our characters, especially Yellow and the lights dim out.

"Uhmmff did shumbody turn out da lighfs?"

"Hello?"
