The stall owner got out of his shock"what the!? Whose pokemon is this?"

Clara and Maya quickly ran up to the stall "I sincerely apologize for my pokemon" said Clara apologizing for buddy who was still looking for the stone when Clara grabbed his ear to scold him "buddy how many times do I have to tell you not to put random stuff in your mouth and now look what happened" said Clara making buddy realize he evolved

"So this big guy belongs to you" asked the stall owner

"Yes, please tell me the price for the fire stone" said Clara

"Hmm well the fire stone isn't that rare here you can get one from that mountain" said the stall owner pointing towards the big mountain

"Well you're right about that" said Maya
"But still let me pay for it since it was my fault for not keeping a better eye on my pokemon" said Clara taking money out of her wallet but the stall owner stopped her

"I think I have a better idea and you look like a strong pokemon trainer from the looks of your pokemon, so why not join the pokemon tournament" said the stall owner

"Huh?? But how would that be helpful to you?" Asked Clara confused

"Of course it's helpful for me because I will be betting on you" said the stall owner making Maya also realize what he meant

"Ohhh I get it!! If Clara wins you will be getting more money than you would have from selling the stones right" said Maya

"Exactly" said the stall owner

"But is betting allowed?" Asked Clara

"Well in our city it is allowed and it's not harming anyone I think" said Maya

"But what if I don't win the tournament? " asked Clara

"Then I'll get the money from the one's you did win,every round has a bet" said the stall owner

"Clara you should give it a try it will be fun and I will also be betting on you" said maya

Clara thought for a bit "hmm well I guess I could give it a shot"

Maya and the stall owner cheered

Maya told Clara the tournament will begin in one hour so want and Clara signed up by giving her pokedax to the front lady and the system give her the name of her opponent

"You will be fighting against rain, this tournament will be three pokemon battle and your battle is the second" said the lady Clara thanked her and want out with maya

This is Clara's first official pokemon tournament so while waiting for the tournament to begin she bought some ice cream to calm her nerves

They found less crowded place and sit down to eat while Maya only bought one for herself she looked at Clara who was holding four popsicles

"Wow Clara you're eating a lot of popsicles" said Maya but she glanced to her right to see all her pokemon's had popsicles in their mouths

"Well ice cream is known for calming you're nerves" said Clara finishing her third popsicle

"Clara you're nervous? but you look so calm that I thought you had this in the bag" said Maya surprised

"Well even calm people can get nervous Maya, since it's my first official pokemon battle i don't want to put any pressure on my pokemon's" said Clara taking out a popsicle from the plastic bag and giving it to smoke who finished his popsicle

Maya nodded and glanced at the bag holding the popsicles "so can I have another popsicle" said Maya

Clara give her a popsicle and Maya hurriedly took a big bit of her popsicle giving her a brain freeze as Clara Comforted her "why did you take a big bit, the popsicle isn't going anywhere!" Said Clara rubbing her head to calm her brain freeze

After the time was up Clara and Maya want to the stadium while Maya want to  in the front row Clara waited for her name to be called

When a staff member came informing her it was time her turn to go down to the stadium for her battle

Clara calmly want down to the stadium when she heard the mic speak

"Now coming to our second match red vs blue"

Clara walked to her position which was blue when she saw her opponent rain on the red side

"Now let the battle begin"

Rain and Clara took out their pokemon's at the same

"Rhyhorn I choose you" said rain

"Smoke I need your help" said Clara

"Red has chosen rhyhorn as her first pokemon while blue has chosen gengar

"Rhyhorn horn attack" said rain
At her command rhyhorn ran at smoke with his horn pointed

"Smoke dodged it and use shadow ball" said Clara

Smoke floated out of the way when the rhyhorn came at him and formed a shadow ball throwing at rhyhorn who just couldn't dodge quick enough and got hit

"Smoke shadow punch" said Clara
While rhyhorn was getting back on his feet smoke came in front of him and gave a shadow punch to the face

"Rhyhorn!!!" Yelled rain

Rhyhorn shook his head and stared at smoke "rhyhorn flame thrower"

"Smoke dodged it" said Clara as smoke dodged the flame thrower rhyhorn attacked smoke while he wasn't aware with horn drill

But smoke quickly got up and floated away "smoke shadow trap" said Clara wanting to finish the battle

Smoke grins as his eyes sparks up red and lots of shadow wipes comes out of smoke's back completely trapping rhyhorn who wasn't quick enough to escape

"Rhyhorn get out of there" said rain but got no response

As smoke saw it was enough and let go of rhyhorn who was shown unconscious

"Rhyhorn!!!!" Yelled rain

"Rhyhorn is unable to battle the win goes to gengar"

Smoke had a huge grin and put a thumbs up to clara who also give a thumbs up

Rain took back rhyhorn "you did a good job rhyhorn get a good rest" said rain putting rhyhorn's pokeball back and taking out another pokeball

"Marowak I choose you" said rain

"Maaaa~~~~" roared marowak

"Smoke take a break I'll let you fight the next battle" said clara as smoke nodded and floated to her side

"Buddy I need your help" said clara taking out buddy

"Wahoo~~~~" roared buddy

"For their second pokemon red has chosen marowak and blue chosen arcanine"

"Marowak use bonemaranga" said rain
Marowak throws his bone at buddy to hit him but buddy caught the bone like he was playing fetch shocking marowak and rain

While clara had a sweatdrop as smoke laughed ever since buddy evolved his tooth problem was solved and his tooth is better than ever

"Marowak ice beam get you bone back" said rain

As marowak launched a ray of ice at buddy who dodged with the bone still in his mouth

"Buddy flame wheel" said clara as buddy ran and rolled in fire like a wheel at marowak knocking him down

"Marowak focus energy" said rain

Marowak body glowed white and launched a energy beam at buddy who couldn't dodge letting go of the bone in his mouth

Marowak quick took his bone back and used bone club on buddy who was hit directly

"Buddy!! Are you all right!" Asked clara as buddy shook his fur and stood firm

"Alright buddy flame blast" said clara

As buddy shot a big fire blast at marowak and running behind the fire blast

Marowak was hit twice with the fire blast and take down knocking him unconscious"

Marowak is unable to battle the winner his arcanine as team blue won two battles out of three against team red the winner has been decided team blue for the win"said the mic as people cheered Maya and the stall owner were the loudest

As buddy ran straight to clara and jumped on her making her fall down because buddy was to big and she wasn't prepared to catch him

As clara was being licked clean by buddy
Rain took back marowak "that was a great fight good job marowak"

Rain looked at clara who was on the ground on top of her was buddy her face was wet with saliva as smoke was holding back laughter

Rain walked up to clara and took out her hand for a hand shake clara got up and took the hand

"That was a great battle I have long way to go but I learned a lot from this battle" said rain with a smile

Clara smiled back "your right it was great battle and I wish you the best of luck for you future battles"

As they part ways Maya ran toward clara and give her a big hug "that was so amazing I knew you had this in the bag" said Maya

"And I got a lot of money from betting" said Maya showing clara the money

Clara could only shake her head with a smile at least Maya was happy
