After brock joined the team he saw who was really more responsible then ash and misty as both couldn't cook, Clara was the one who do the things that they couldn't, and she never looked bothered by anything that ash does as long as no pokemon was hurt badly, he also saw how she likes to pamper them by making anything they want, if ash was whining about something Clara would patiently listen, if misty had made a mistake in helping to cook she would kindly shoo her away without hurting her feelings,

And if he had any request she would help him with it, he also saw she was good with medicinal herbs and plants which he was excited about, they could talk for hours about pokemon food and pokemon medicine, they bonded over it that Clara could see him as a brother, which he accepted,
 
She also didn't mind when ash would bother them while they were cooking or talking , she would give him attention even when they talk like giving him head pets and side hugs etc she would help him solve his problem,

Clara was also really strong too she had abs, ash already knew that as Clara trained a lot since she was small,she could carry ash on her back, and misty in her arms in a princess carry, this happened because ash and misty were arguing again not looking there they were going and fall in a deep hole which was meant for pokemon this happened while Clara and brock were talking and looking at the map while looking at where they were stepping, since ash and misty were in front they fall, shocking Clara and brock, Pikachu couldn't take their arguing anymore and jumped on Clara's shoulder before the fall,

So brock and Clara worked hard to pull them out in which they hurt their foot, Clara saw it wasn't serious and give them pain killers and disinfection spray it was also getting dark and they couldn't camp in the middle of the road so Clara carried them both, shocking misty and brock, ash wasn't fazed because Clara carried him more then once, Clara apologised to brock for making him carry her bag,

Brock told her it's nothing from what's she is doing, Clara also said it was nothing

Then brock realized that Clara could multitask without problem, and she really likes to read,

But he was really shocked about her pokemon, she spoiled them rotten,
From all three of her pokemon he only recognized one and that's haunter,who she named smoke,

When he asked about her two other pokemon Clara told him the same story as she did misty, her pokemon got used to brock very quickly see as he could also cook,

Eva, jewel and smoke would still stick with Clara when it's reading time,

Brock was shocked that they could read he was more shocked when Clara took out the big blanket for her pokemon, misty and ash were used to it they even joined in the cuddle pile, as jewel wrapped them in a hug, brock was also pulled in by jewel, misty loves to touch jewels scales, ash just loves to be besides Clara Pikachu was laying in Clara's left arm while Eva was laying in her right arm, smoke just loves to lay on her stomach,

Brock layed on Jewel's neck, now that jewel has a pillow that he wanted he sleeps comfortably,

They traveled like this for a few days, until they made it to Mt moon,
