Win or Lose or Drew

" This is May's first time participating in a Pokemon Contest, so let's give her a warm welcome and watch her Pokemon's elegant entry!"

The croud cheered, and May got a sweat drop. " Oh boy. Alright then."

Ash and Max looked worried, and Brock was observing.

" This isn't good." Brock said. " I think she's overwhelmed by the stadium."

" Just calm down May!" Ash yelled.

" Come on you can do it!" Max added.

May was sweating a lot now, and she was getting pale.

Drew was the first to notice. " May?"

May swayed gently then hit the ground.

The moment May hit the ground, the crowd gasped, and Ash, Max, and Brock rushed forward, panic in their eyes. Drew was the quickest to react, darting towards her side, kneeling down as he gently lifted her into his arms.

“May? May, wake up,” Drew called softly, his voice full of concern. He carefully cradled her and motioned for the others to follow as they hurried to get her to her room.

Brock was the first to speak up. “She’s overexerted herself. The stadium, the pressure—it was too much for her.”

Ash glanced at Max, both of them worried, but Drew was already taking charge, his face determined but soft as he looked down at May. “She needs to rest, but we’ve got to get her calm first.”

Max stepped forward, his voice shaky. “She looked so pale before she fell… I’ve never seen her like this.”

As they reached her room, Drew carefully placed May on the bed, pulling the covers around her to help keep her warm. The others hovered nearby, but Drew was the one who stayed closest, his hand gently resting on her forehead.

May stirred slowly, groaning as she slowly blinked her eyes open. She tried to sit up but wavered, her head still spinning. Before she could even make sense of what was happening, Drew’s arms were around her, pulling her into a protective embrace.

“Drew…” May whispered, still a bit dazed.

“Shh, it’s okay. Just rest for a bit,” Drew whispered back, his voice calm but laced with concern. He pulled her a little closer, making sure she was comfortable. She hugged back with one arm, still feeling weak, but somehow reassured by his presence.

“W-what happened?” May asked, her voice soft, still struggling to process what had just happened.

“You collapsed, May,” Ash answered from across the room, his face full of worry. “We were all so worried. You pushed yourself too hard.”

Max nodded, fidgeting with his hands. “Yeah, we saw how stressed you were out there. You don’t need to do everything perfectly.”

Brock stepped forward, offering a reassuring smile. “It’s okay, May. It’s important to pace yourself. The contest will always be there, but your health comes first.”

May closed her eyes, letting Drew hold her for a moment longer. “I’m sorry, guys. I didn’t mean to freak out like that. I just… I wanted to do well.”

Drew gently pulled back, holding her shoulders as he looked into her eyes. “You’ve already done great, May. You just need to take care of yourself now. The contest will still be there when you’re ready.”

May nodded, trying to smile through her exhaustion. “Thanks, Drew.”
