Putting the Air in Aerodactyl
" But Aerodactyl is really big, you guys. Why would it be scared of us?" Tracey asked
" Well, think of Onix, or even Pikachu. A lot of Pokemon, even some of the big ones, don't really know how powerful they are.' oak replied
" You're right. That's a good point." Crystal agreed.
" K guess that would explain why it totally flipped out as soon as it was revived."
Suddenly, they heard something in the bushes and panting.
A purple sneaker peeked out of the forest,. followed by... Four paws?
A girl and her Eevee jumped out. " Eevee we need to find it!" She exclaimed. " If what Ash said is true, then Gary has a problem."
" Wisty?"
Wisty turned. " Oh hi guys. Fancy seeing you here."
Then a shadow passed over them
The Aerodactyl.
Wisty sighed. " Come on, Eve. Apparently some Pokemon just don't know when to calm down. Use Gary!"
Eevee blinked.
" What?" She asked. " Use your wind!"
More blinks.
" What?"
" Eveve."
" What do you mean ' how long do I stay up for'?! My brother in in the Hoenn region, and half the night is spent with me doing my research work and catching Pokemon and helping Gary and Ash."
Gary blinked. " I call you at NIGHT?!"
Wisty nodded and yawned. " Yep. But never mind that. Eevee, let's go."
She took one step forward... And tripped.
" Wisty!" Gary exclaimed as he ran to her side. " Are you okay?"
Wisty nodded weakly. " Yeah. But the Aerodactyl needs help more than I do. Cime on, Eevee."
Suddenly, one of Wisty's Pokeballs opened, and Charmander came out.
" Char!"
Wisty groaned. " Really?"
" Char! Mander!"
" So what if I'm tired! I have work, Charry. The world literally depends on it."
But then she stumbled forward.
Luckily, Sprigatito and Amura came out of their Pokeballs quick enough to help Chamander and Eevee lay Wisty onto the ground.
Then Chickerita came out. " Chika!"
" Chickerita, I'm fine. Please don't worry about me. What do I keep telling you? I'll be fine as long as you are."
Eevee rolled her eyes.
" Anyway, we have to go."
" Char!"
Wisty paused. " Well yes I suppose I could do it from here. But hey. We don't want to make it stress even mor......"
She stumbled back and fell.
" Wisty!" Oak yelled as he ran to the girl.
Gary felt her pulse. " She's out cold."
Tracey, Dora and Crystal looked at her.
" Why would she stay awake for that long?" Tracey asked.
Crystal poked Wisty on the shoulder, and the sudden motion startled her awake.
"My coffee! I need ten cups of coffee!" she exclaimed, her eyes darting around as if searching for her beloved beverage.
“Come on, Eevee!” Wisty shouted, jumping to her feet. Eevee let out an exasperated sigh, already used to Wisty’s frantic energy.
“Wisty, wait up!” Crystal called, trying to keep up with her friend, but Wisty was already running full speed, her hair flying behind her like a banner of determination.
"Seriously! Slow down!" Crystal puffed as she chased after Wisty, who was oblivious to her friend’s pleas.
As Wisty sprinted, Chikorita, realizing her trainer needed help, rushed to her side and nuzzled against her leg. “Chika! Chika!” it urged, trying to encourage Wisty to slow down.
Wisty barely noticed. “I’m fine! We have to find Aerodactyl before it gets too far!” she shouted back, but her voice was already losing its breathy edge.
Before long, all of Wisty's Pokémon jumped in to assist. Sprigatito and Amura flanked her, helping her maintain her balance while Charmander trotted alongside, trying to keep her spirits up. “Char!” it chimed, as if cheering her on.
Suddenly, Wisty stumbled again. “What’s with all these roots?” she muttered, barely able to keep her footing. Chikorita instinctively took the lead, guiding Wisty around obstacles.
“Thanks, guys,” Wisty huffed, feeling a bit more secure as her Pokémon helped her navigate the terrain. With renewed determination, she pushed forward, her mind focused on calming Aerodactyl.
Finally, they reached a clearing where Aerodactyl was perched, its massive wings twitching nervously. The creature’s eyes darted around as it scanned the group, still on high alert from its earlier chaos.
“Okay, everyone, let’s do this!” Wisty instructed, standing tall despite her fatigue. She took a deep breath and began to speak soothingly to the frightened Pokémon. “Aerodactyl, it’s okay! You’re safe now. We’re here to help you.”
Just as Wisty reached out her hand, she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. “I just need to—” But before she could finish her thought, her vision blurred, and she collapsed onto the ground, her Pokémon rushing to cushion her fall.
“Wisty!” Crystal screamed, rushing to her friend’s side. “Is she okay?”
Gary knelt down next to Wisty, feeling for her pulse again. “She’s just exhausted,” he said, frowning. “But we need to focus on Aerodactyl!”
As if sensing Wisty’s absence, Aerodactyl shifted uneasily, its wings rustling. Charmander stepped forward, and with a burst of flame, it drew Aerodactyl’s attention. “Char! Char!”
“Wait!” Crystal yelled, but it was too late. The fiery distraction worked, and Aerodactyl turned its gaze from Wisty to Charmander, confused but intrigued.
Eevee took advantage of the moment. “Eevee!” it chimed, darting toward Aerodactyl with a friendly wave of its tail, hoping to ease the tension.
“Chikorita, Amura, help me get Wisty somewhere safe!” Crystal commanded, and the two Pokémon carefully lifted Wisty between them, carrying her a short distance away from the clearing.
“Hang in there, Wisty!” Crystal whispered, glancing back at the scene. “We need you!”
Meanwhile, Charmander continued to keep Aerodactyl’s attention while Wisty's Pokémon formed a circle around their trainer, keeping her protected as they checked on her condition.
Just as Crystal feared the worst, Wisty’s eyelids fluttered open. “What happened?” she mumbled, her voice weak.
“Aerodactyl is still here! We need your help!” Crystal urged.
Wisty tried to sit up, but her Pokémon nudged her gently back down. “I can’t leave you guys to handle this alone,” she protested, her determination shining through the haze of fatigue.
“Trust us, Wisty! Just rest,” Gary insisted, glancing between her and Aerodactyl.
“Okay, just give me a second,” Wisty said, taking deep breaths to steady herself. She felt her Pokémon’s energy bolstering her strength, and as she regained her composure, she realized they could still turn this around.
With renewed resolve, Wisty stood up, leaning on Chikorita for support. “Alright, everyone, let’s work together to calm Aerodactyl down!” she said, her voice stronger now.
Crystal smiled, relieved to see her friend back on her feet. “Together, we can do this!”
Wisty took a step forward, confidence building. “Eevee, let’s show Aerodactyl how kind humans and Pokémon can be!”
Then she stumbled, and Eevee had to turn into Leafeon to use vine whip to support her. Chikitita and Sprigatito helped.
" Thanks." She sighed. " Charmander, use Iron Tail! Pikachu flamethrower!"
Eevee blinked, them realized her owner was mixing things up again.
She had to do the iron Tail.
So she backflipped amd turned into Jolteon, then executed the move.
" Great! Pikachu use thunderbolt! And Charmander use water gun!"
Milotic came out of her ball and used water gun
" Thanks Milo- what is that ringing noise."
" You're hearing things." Gary said.
Wisty shook her head, but before she could do anything Eevee came with fruit.
Aerodactyl looked at it and greedily took it
Wisty smiled. _ there we go. Nice and...."
Then she blacked out.
