" Ash? Hey Ash! Wake up!"

Ash groaned and blinked an eye open. " Good morning, Mist."

" Ash, do you know where we are?"

Ash sat up. " In a tent?"

" I mean which forest?"

Ash shook his head. Misty sighed.

" We're in the famous Yulia Forest!"

Ash jumped and gasped. " You mean-"

" The one where we can find all sorts of rare pokemon and catch them!" Misty replied excited. " Yeah!"

" Let's go!" Ash started to run but Misty grabbed the back of his shirt.

" Are you going out wearing THAT?"

Ash looked at his clothes.

He was in his nightsuit.

" Well, I did go to the lab one day wearing these....."

" The day you got Pikachu?"

Ash nodded sheepishly. " What was I supposed to do?"

" Uh, I dunno.... Maybe put a jacket over your clothes?!"

Ash shrugged. " What's happened happened. At least I have Pikachu."

" Pikaa pi!!"

Ash pet his Pikachu on the head. " Is breakfast ready?"

" Always thinking with the stomach...." Misty muttered. " Yes. Brock made pancakes."

" Yes!" Ash cheered. " I'll change and meet you in five!"

Ash raised a brow as Misty came out of their tent holding a fishing rod.

" What's that for?"

" Catching Pokemon?"

" You're gonna catch water Pokemon?"

Misty nodded eagerly, and Ash sighed. " Fine. But promise me you'll be safe."

Misty rolled her eyes. " Ash, I'm a pokemon gym leader! A water gym leader! I think I can handle some fishing."

Ash sighed. " You're right. Sorry."

Misty nudged him. " Just promise me you won't catch any hideous bug Pokemon."

" Hey! You expect a great Pokemon trainer like me to let some bug Pokemon not get captured?"

" Fine! Just.... Make the ones you do capture cute."

Ash nodded. " Got it."

Misty turned. " Well, this is the path to the lake. See you at lunchtime."

Ash nodded, and Pikachu waved. " Bye, Misty. Bye, Togepi. Keep an eye on my girlfriend will you?"

" Toge Priii!"

Misty groaned. " Aaaash! You're embarrassing me!"

" In front of the trees?" Ash teased before taking off, Pikachu following.

Misty sighed and shook her head. " He's a complete kid. It's a good thing I love him, or he woulda been dead."

" Look Pikachu! A venomat!"

Ash took Dexter out, and Dexter said, " Venomat. The bug Pokemon. A poison type."

Ash cheered. " Okay, great! Pikachu, use thunderbolt!"

" Pika... CHUUUUUUUUU!"

The Venomat avoided and countered with Stun Spore.

" Squirtle, use water gun!" Ash yelled as he threw a Pokeball. " Pikachu, thunderbolt!"

" Squirtle!"

" Pika.... CHUUUUUUUUU!"

The two attacks hit to Venomat square on the chest.

Ash took a Pokeball out. " Pokeball, go!"

It hit Venomat, and it was sucked in. The button was red, and it rolled.

Finally, the button grew green, and Ash picked it up.

" Venomat, you're mine!" He said as he did his victory pose.

" Pika Pikachu!" Pikachu said as he did a V sign as well.

Ash sighed and looked up at the sky. " Hope Misty's having as much fun as we are, buddy."

" Oh, I'm gonna get you! I'm gonna get you! I got you!" Misty cheered as she grabbed Togepi.

" Toge toge!"

She heard the crunches of leaves and looked up to see Ash walking towards them, hands in pocket.

" Heya Misty. How many Pokemon did you catch?"

" Not many. I got distracted by playing tag with Togepi."

Pikachu hopped off Ash's shoulder and started to chase Togepi, and Misty smiled faintly.

" I set up a picnic area over there. We can eat and watch the sunset." Misty suggested.

Ash nodded. " Let's do it."

Ash picked another sandwich and took a bite. " This is real good, Misty."

Misty blushed. " Thanks. I got the recipe from my sisters."

" They're good cooks too."

They both looked at their Pokemon as they chased one another happily around the grassy area. Ash leaned back on his hands. " We should do this more."

Misty turned. " Really?"

Ash nodded, his gaze fixed at the sky. " It's really beautiful, the sky. Makes your red hair look prettier than it already looks."

Misty blushed. " Really?"

Ash nodded. " But there's one thing missing."

Misty raised a brow. " What?"

" Well actually two things."

Ash reached and pulled a blue flower from the patch near the blanket, and put it behind Misty's ear. " There."

" And the second thing?"

Ash sighed and pulled something out of his pocket, then got on one knee.

" Misty ever since you fished me out of that lake when I was starting off on my journey I knew you were for me. You were impulsive but sweet, caring and loving. You always cheered me on and hit me when I needed it. You helped me understand the real meaning of being a pokemon master. And what a therapist and envy is."

Misty's breath hitched in her throat. Just say it....

" Misty,.will you marry m-"

" YES!" misty yelled. " Yes yes yes yes yes!"

Ash grinned and swept her on her feet. " Thank you!" He exclaimed.

Misty grinned. " Yeah! But we're talking about when we're eighteen, right?"

" What's eighteen?"
