Pokeshipping day 1- Pokemon fishing

" Can I open my eyes yet?" Misty asked excitedly.

" Almost, Mist. Almost."

Misty squeealed happily. " I can't wait!"

Ash chuckled. " I'm sure you can't. Okay..... now."

Ash removed his hands, and Misty opened her eyes and gasped.

There were two fishing rods, a picnic basket, and a bunch of Pokeballs. Misty gasped.

" What's all this?"

Ash shrugged. " I just wanted to enjoy this amazing day."

Misty smiled. " Thanks, Ash."

Then she sat down on the picnic mat and picked a rod. " So..... when are we gonna get this party started?"

Ash plopped down next to her. " Right now."

" I got a bite!" Misty exclaimed as she felt a strong tug on her pole.

Ash, who was getting nothing, looked up excitedly. " Really?"

Misty nodded and leaned back, but was pulled forward. Ash jumped up and grabbed the pole and Misty's hands and helped her reel her find.

It was a Bibarel.

" What is that?" Ash asked as he took Dexter out.

" Bibarel. The water Pokemon. Like a beaver, Bibarel builds dams and eats bark."

" Amazing! Pokeball go!" Misty exclaimed.

The Bibarel was immediately absorbed, and the ball fell to the ground. One.... Two.....

Yes!

" I caught a Bibarel!" Misty cheered.

Ash grabbed his girlfriend's hands and started to twirl her. " You did it!"

" I did it! I did it!"

Then Ash's pole got a tug.

"Hey, I think I got something too!" Ash shouted, his eyes wide with excitement.

Misty grinned, already feeling the competitive spirit kick in. "Well, don't just sit there! Reel it in!"

Ash nodded, pulling back on the rod with determination. "Alright, come on!" He leaned back, focusing on the pull. "It feels heavy!"

The fishing line twitched, and Ash struggled to maintain his grip. Misty watched intently, her heart racing as she cheered him on. "You got this, Ash! Just keep reeling!"

With one final tug, Ash pulled up his catch, revealing a shiny Magikarp flopping around at the end of his line.

"Magikarp? Seriously?" Misty couldn't help but giggle. "That's not exactly a rare find, Ash!"

Ash chuckled, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "Hey, it's still a catch! And I can evolve it later."

"True! Just don't let it flounder around too much. You don't want it to escape!" Misty teased, gently picking up the Magikarp.

Ash rolled his eyes playfully. "Alright, Poké Ball, go!" He threw the ball, and after a brief struggle, the Magikarp was successfully captured.

"Nice! Now we're both on the board!" Misty clapped, her enthusiasm uncontained.

"Looks like we'll have to have a fishing contest!" Ash said, his competitive side coming out. "First one to catch a rare Pokémon wins!"

Misty smirked, already plotting her strategy. "You're on! But I think I might just have a few tricks up my sleeve."

" Tenth Pokemon caught today!" Misty cheered.

Ash smirked. " Eh. I've seen people who've caught Twenty."

" Who? Gary?" Misty asked in a flat voice.

Ash laughed. " Cheer up, Mist! I'm joking. Mostly."

Misty rolled her eyes. " Right."

Pikachu, who was eating a berry while watching, let out a happy, " Pika!" And resumed eating.

Ash suddenly has an idea. " Hey, you wanna catch these Pokemon the old fashion way?"

Misty raised a brow. " You mean by hand?"

Ash nodded

Misty gave it some thought, then grinned. " Sure!"

Ash grinned as he kicked his shoes and socks off and rolled his jeans, while Misty kicked her shoes off and wadded in. " Hey, the water's a nice temperature. Come on in!"

As Ash and Misty waded into the water, the sun warmed their skin, and gentle waves lapped at their ankles. Misty giggled as the cool water splashed against her legs, feeling invigorated by the refreshing sensation.

"Alright, Ash! Let's see who can catch one first!" Misty challenged, her competitive spirit ignited once again.

"Deal!" Ash replied, already scanning the water for any signs of Pokémon. He spotted a shadow darting just below the surface. "There! I think I see something!"

"Where?" Misty turned, following Ash's gaze. Just then, a small blue figure popped up— a Mudkip! It was flapping its fin as it splashed playfully.

"Got it!" Ash exclaimed, crouching low and trying to sneak up on the Mudkip. He made a few slow steps toward it, but the Mudkip seemed to sense him and dove underwater.

"Hey, no fair!" Misty laughed, splashing a little water toward Ash. "You can't just scare it away!"

"Just you wait!" Ash said, determination set in his eyes. He crouched lower, trying to stay hidden. "Pikachu, let's make some noise!"

"Pika!" Pikachu chirped, shaking his tail and making a series of playful sounds. The Mudkip resurfaced, curious about the commotion.

"Now's my chance!" Ash whispered, feeling adrenaline rush through him. He threw his Poké Ball into the water, aiming carefully. "Poké Ball, go!"

The ball splashed down just in front of the Mudkip, who was caught off guard by the sudden attack. The ball bobbed on the surface for a moment before it opened, and a beam of light shot out, enveloping the Mudkip. The Pokémon struggled for a moment but was sucked inside the ball with a flash.

"Come on, come on!" Ash urged, watching the ball shake back and forth. One shake... two shakes... and then, finally—click!

"Yes! I caught a Mudkip!" Ash jumped up, throwing his fist into the air with excitement.

"Nice job, Ash!" Misty cheered, clapping her hands. "But let's see if I can catch something even better!"

Misty turned her attention back to the water, where she spotted a vibrant, green Pokémon with a large, feathered crest. "Look! A Quaxly!" she exclaimed, eyes wide with excitement.

"Good luck!" Ash teased, giving her a thumbs-up.

Misty took a few cautious steps toward the water, keeping her eyes locked on the Quaxly. "Hey there, little guy!" she called, trying to soothe it. "I just want to play!"

The Quaxly quacked softly, its beak splashing water as it swam closer. Misty felt her heart race with the thrill of the chase. "Okay, Misty, you can do this," she whispered to herself, getting ready to make her move.

As the Quaxly swam near, Misty crouched low, her heart pounding with excitement. "Now or never!" She lunged forward, scooping her hands into the water.

With a splash, she managed to grab the Quaxly by its body, startling it. "Gotcha!" Misty shouted, holding it up triumphantly. The Quaxly squirmed in her grasp, flapping its wings.

"Quick! Use your Poké Ball!" Ash shouted, still riding the high of his own catch.

"Right!" Misty fumbled for her Poké Ball, her fingers slick with water. She aimed carefully, her heart racing. "Poké Ball, go!"

The ball flew through the air and hit the Quaxly, releasing a burst of light. The Pokémon struggled momentarily before being drawn inside. Misty held her breath, watching as the ball shook violently in the water.

"Come on, come on!" she urged. "Stay in there!"

One shake... two shakes... three shakes... and then—click!

"I did it! I caught a Quaxly!" Misty screamed, excitement bubbling over.

Ash laughed, clapping her on the back. "You're really on a roll today, Mist!"

Misty beamed with pride, glancing down at her new catch. "Thanks, Ash! This was the best idea ever!"

They both splashed around in the water, their laughter ringing out as they celebrated their successful day of fishing. The sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow on the sparkling surface of the lake, creating the perfect backdrop for their adventure.

"Let's see what else we can find!" Ash suggested, determination gleaming in his eyes.

"Definitely! Who knows what other Pokémon are out there waiting for us?"

As the sun reached its peak, Ash and Misty were still enjoying their time in the water, laughing and splashing each other when they suddenly heard a familiar voice calling from the shore.

"Hey, you two! What happened here?" Brock's voice carried over the gentle sounds of the water. He walked toward them, a large picnic basket swinging at his side.

Misty turned, water dripping from her hair and splattering onto the ground. "We caught Pokémon!" she declared proudly, holding her Poké Ball high in the air.

Brock raised an eyebrow, looking from Misty to Ash, who was still grinning ear to ear. "Really? You caught Pokémon? Then why do you both look like you just took a swim in the ocean?"

Ash laughed, his cheeks a bit flushed from the excitement. "Well, we kinda had a little water fight after the catches."

"A water fight?" Brock echoed, crossing his arms. "That's what you call catching Pokémon? It looks more like a splash party to me!"

Misty smirked and splashed Ash again playfully. "It was both! I caught a Quaxly, and Ash caught a Mudkip. And a bunch of other Pokemon. But we couldn't resist the water!"

"Yeah!" Ash added, grinning. "It was too much fun. Plus, it's a perfect day for a water battle!"

Brock chuckled, shaking his head. "I can't believe you two. You know we have lunch waiting, right? You'll need to dry off first."

"Oh, come on, Brock! Just a little more!" Ash pleaded, glancing at Misty, who was already eyeing him mischievously.

Misty's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Let's just see if we can convince Brock to join in! What do you say, Brock? You can't let us have all the fun!"

"Not a chance!" Brock replied, laughing but stepping back, clearly aware of their intentions.

In that moment, Ash and Misty exchanged a knowing look. Without warning, Misty lunged toward Brock, splashing water everywhere. Brock stumbled back, surprised. "Hey! No fair!" he shouted, trying to shield himself, but it was too late.

Ash joined in, and soon they were both ganging up on Brock, splashing him with laughter echoing all around. "You're in the splash zone now, Brock!" Ash yelled, thoroughly enjoying the chaos.

Brock, not one to back down, quickly recovered and retaliated. "Okay, okay! You asked for it!" He jumped into the water, sending waves crashing in all directions as he splashed back.

The water fight erupted into a full-blown battle, with all three of them laughing and squealing as they dodged each other's attacks. Brock, with his surprising agility, managed to get the upper hand and soaked both Ash and Misty.

"Now who's the champion?" he teased, puffing out his chest proudly.

Misty laughed, wiping water from her eyes. "You're going to pay for that one, Brock!"

"Oh, I'm ready for whatever you've got!" Brock shouted, preparing for another round of splashes.

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, they all enjoyed the light-hearted fun, the friendly competition only drawing them closer. After what felt like hours of laughter and splashes, they finally decided to take a break.

Panting and breathless, they flopped down on the shore, their laughter echoing in the warm air.

Brock finally pulled the picnic basket closer. "Alright, alright! Lunch time!"

Ash and Misty nodded, then came out and shook themselves dry.

" Hey!" Brock said while laughing. " Keep the shaking to a minimum!"

" Never!" They yelled, grinning from ear to ear.
