Advice to Goh.
" I just want to make sure you DESERVE to be Ash's buddy, understand?"
" Agh! Come on! What is WITH this guy?!" Goh yelled as he accusingly pointed at Gary.
A sweat drop appeared on Ash's head. " Oh, well, he always used to act this way with me. By the way, what was the goal you were talking about?"
" A legenda-"
Before he could finish, an Altaria dropped a girl with a pink dress and blue shoes onto Gary, tackling him onto the ground.
" HE'S HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!"
Gary winced slightly. " Wisty, you're gonna make me deaf one day or ano- WOAH!" he yelped as Wisty, with suprising strength for her young age, grabbed Gary by the hand and started to spin.
Well, Wisty's feet stayed on the ground. Gary's?
Not so much.
Well, not at all.
In fact, HIS feet were in the air like a ragdoll's, and he yelped everytime Wisty swung him.
" WISTY YOU'RE GONNA KILL HIM!" Ash yelled.
Wisty stopped.
But before she did, she swung Gary into a high tree. With a yelp, he went from the ground to soaring in the air to being stuck in a tree.
Ash ran to the trunk. " Are you okay?" He called.
Gary glared at him. " Do I LOOK okay?"
Ash grinned sheepishly. " Sorry."
Gary glared at Wisty. " You could have said hi like a normal person!"
" IT'S MORE FUN!"
Ash sighed. " No it's not."
Wisty turned to Goh. " Did Ash tell you he and Gary were rivals?"
Goh nodded.
" They're also best friends."
Goh's eye twitched. " Wait, wait wait.... ASH? Is friends with.... HIM?!"
Wisty smirked and nodded. " Oh yeah. They've been besties since......" She looked at her fingers. " One million years!"
Ash collapsed on the ground. " You're making me sound old!" He yelled.
Wisty grinned. " You are."
" We're only TEN!" Gary added
The young girl rolled her eyes. " Same thing."
She turned to Goh again." Aaaaaanyway...... yeah. You wanna see the whole scrapbook I made?"
" NO!" Ash and Gary yelled.
But it was too late.
Wisty proudly pulled out a thick, decorated scrapbook from her bag, ignoring Ash and Gary's desperate protests. Goh blinked, looking at the large book covered in stickers, glitter, and what looked like a giant Pikachu face on the front.
"Behold!" Wisty announced dramatically, waving it around like it was some ancient artifact. "The chronicles of Ash and Gary's legendary friendship and rivalry!"
Gary facepalmed from the tree he was still stuck in. "Wisty, no one needs to see that!"
Ash, who had fallen to the ground earlier, scrambled to his feet and lunged forward, trying to grab the scrapbook. "Wisty, don't you dare!"
Wisty dodged him effortlessly, grinning like a troublemaker. "Too slow, old man!" She stuck out her tongue and started flipping through the pages while Ash stumbled past her.
Goh, now intrigued despite himself, leaned over to peek inside. "I... kinda wanna see this now."
Ash groaned, slumping to the ground in defeat. "Why me..."
Wisty began narrating as she held up a page with a crudely drawn picture of Ash and Gary racing on their bikes, both of them with giant heads and tiny bodies. "This was when Ash lost a bike race to Gary in Pallet Town! Look how happy Gary is!" she giggled, pointing at Gary's overly smug expression in the drawing.
Gary, still dangling from the tree, grumbled. "I wasn't that smug."
Ash raised an eyebrow. "Dude, you literally threw a victory party."
"Okay, maybe I was a little smug."
Wisty ignored their bickering and flipped to another page, this one featuring a lopsided drawing of Ash and Gary in front of the Indigo Plateau. "And here's when they both competed in the Pokémon League! Such a dramatic moment in their friendship!"
Goh raised an eyebrow. "You seriously made a scrapbook about their lives?"
Wisty nodded enthusiastically. "Of course! Someone had to document their epic story!"
Gary finally managed to free himself from the tree and landed with a thud on the ground. He stood up, brushing off leaves and dirt. "Wisty, this is embarrassing. No one needs to know about all this!"
But Wisty wasn't finished. She flipped to the last page and grinned devilishly. "And this... is a picture of what they're going to look like in the future!"
Ash and Gary both froze, dread creeping over their faces. "Wait, what...?"
Wisty held up a drawing of Ash and Gary, both looking much older, standing at a wedding altar. Gary was holding a bouquet of flowers, and Ash was crying tears of joy. Behind them, Pikachu was throwing confetti.
"Ta-daaa!" Wisty said, laughing. "Gary-Berry and Ashy-boy, married at last!"
Goh burst out laughing, while Ash and Gary both turned bright red.
"WISTY!" they both yelled in unison.
But before they could even think of chasing her, Wisty bolted off into the forest, her laughter echoing behind her. "Good luck catching me! See you at the observatory with Professor Oak, if you can find me!"
Ash groaned, standing up. "I can't believe she did that."
Gary sighed, shaking his head. "You'd think we'd be used to her antics by now."
Goh, still laughing, picked up the scrapbook and examined the last drawing. "Honestly, this might be the funniest thing I've seen all day."
Ash shot him a look. "Don't encourage her!"
With that, the three boys took off into the forest, determined to catch up to Wisty.
