Yeah, this won't take long. I leave the gym and fly to Mahogany Town. I've already defeated the trainers, so I just battle the Gym Leader immediately.

Oh, dang wait, I missed one trainer.

I electrocuted his Seels and Dewgong so we're good now.

I reach Pryce, and the battle begins!

He starts with Seel, and I start with Suavce. I have prepared for this fight, so it only takes two charge beams to take out the seel.

Next is his Piloswine. I send out Woogle and start mud bombing the thing. Piloswine sets up hail, which will annoy me but shouldn't be an issue. Nevermind, the thing knows Blizzard, which is scary. I heal Woogle after he tanks two Blizzards and hail, and I pray for the best. Piloswine uses hail again and freezes Woogle. So this is fantastic!

I heal up Woogle and continue the fight. It uses Ice Fang on me, but it barely scraps Woogle. Piloswine's hail is obnoxious. Okay, how did Piloswine freeze me with blizzard twice??? They don't even sell Full Restores yet!

Luckily, Piloswine has no more PP for Blizzard and only has Ice Fang, which does little to Woogle. Oh, of course he lands a critical hit on Woogle. We aren't dead yet, and that's not about to change!

Not here. Not now. Not to him.

Can Woogle break out of being frozen? I don't deal with this status effect enough to know for sure if it's possible. Okay, time for a risky move...

I switch to Toothpaste but of course Piloswine uses Ice Fang then instead of Mud Bomb and like that, Toothpaste falls and we lose our flying type.

I switch to Not Rick and I plan to to hit this thing hard. I use everything I have. Rock Tomb, Low Kick, and soon he's in the red. Then Pryce uses a Hyper Potion, and that's not cool. Okay, this is crazy unlucky. Why can't I move, and why is he landing critical hits all the time suddenly?

Woogle is still frozen and there's nothing I can do about it. Without much other choice, I switch to Cafeteria and pray. Wait... he's out of Mud Bombs! Time for Lava Plume. The STAB boost will at least make it worthwhile.

I was right. One Lava Plume and Piloswine goes down. His last Pokemon is Dewgong and Suavce can win this. Dewgong is kind of bulky so it tanks a few Charge beams but eventually gets to the red. I switch to Cafeteria and Pryce uses a Full Restore.

Luckily, his dewgong doesn't know any water type attacks. I throw everything at it. Lava Plume, Cut, Swift, Swift again, and then it uses Rest. It does know Sleep Talk, so it still attacks while asleep, but it does little.

Eventually, our effort pulls off and Dewgong gets in the red...and faints.

We did it.

Pryce hands us the Glacier Badge, and we accept it with pride before having a moment of silence for Toothpaste. Our fallen friend.
