The Special Kid
Amy's POV
It has been 10 years since "The incident" and the fusion pokemon as increased by a severe amount, practically wiping out the original pokemon to begin with. Thus dubbed this region, The Fusion Region.
And as it turns out, the reason behind me and understanding pokemon is because of the Eevee sample that spilled on me.
The pokemon's dna mixed with mine and it made me part pokemon. There was no obvious side effect aside from I can understand pokemon. But as for my daughter... She had more than that...
Lets just say that Sophie was different...
...Very different...

"Mommy! Mommy! Can I go outside now?!" My 5 year old daughter asked, jumping up and down with excitement.
"Okay you win. Just be careful. Alrighty Soph?" I said, smiling at my energetic and happy daughter as I ruffled her hair.
"Okay mommy!" My daughter said, nodding her head.
I gave her a hug and kiss goodbye before she left. As she closed the door I heaved a sigh. Hopefully the other kids don't spot her again...
Sophie's POV
I skipped happily as I headed to the forest. I'm glad mommy let me go out, now I can play with my pokemon friends!
"Hey look! Its the Eevee girl!" A boy voice said.
"Oh ya! Its the mutant Eevee!" Another voice said, followed by a few kid's laughter.
My smile instantly faded as I stopped skipping and started to walk.
'Remember what mommy says, "Don't listen to them. Your just a very special kid." She would tell me.'
"Freak!"
"She doesn't even belong here. She's a pokemon!"
"Ya!"
"She's a mutant!"
I kept hearing them calling me names and decided to run to the forest before they saw the tears streaming down my face as I tried to hold them back. I ran through the trees until I reached the tiny lake I found before, sat down near the end, and started to let my tears freely fall.
I cried of maybe 15 minutes until I started to calm down. I looked at my reflection.
I had my mommy's long brunette hair in a braid and hazel eyes. I wore a brown dress with small frills on the end of the dress with a brown ribbon on the back. Seems normal, right?
Until you see my Eevee ears and tail...
So many mean people have told me I don't belong with them... Call me names and hurt me... I- I don't know why!
I splashed the water in frustration and buried my face behind my legs as I curled up into a ball, my Eevee ears dropping in sadness.
'Help!' I heard someone say.
My head shot up as I looked around. That didn't sound like a person. It sounded more like a-
'Someone help!'
A pokemon!
My legs shot up as I started to search around the area. As I looked at the other side of a bush, I saw what looked like an Eevechu. It was trapped in a net! I watched as it struggled to break free.
"Hang on! I'm coming!" I said as I walked over to the Eevechu.
The Eevechu stopped struggling as its head turned to look at me, looking very relieved and happy.
'Oh thank Arceus! Thanks kid!' By the sound of it, she said relieved.
"No problem." I replied as I started untangling the net around her.
'Wait... You understand me?' She said, her eyes wide as I finished getting the net of her.
"Ya... If ya haven't noticed, I'm not like other kids..." I said, as I sat down and moving my ears and tail for emphasis.
She seemed to be in utter shock as she circled around me, examining me.
'I've seen fused pokemon before... But never a fused human...' She said as she looked at me.
'You kinda reminded me of someone. She helped me and was my friends before.' She said as she sat down next to me.
"Really? Who?" I asked, curiously.
'She was the only human I considered a friend. She wasn't like most humans who capture pokemon for their own evil experiments. I only knew her for only a few minutes, but in all that time she proved to me that not every human is bad.' She sadly smiled as she looked at the sky. As if reliving the memory.
I gasped. "That's so mean! Why would anyone do that?!"
'That's the real world kid. Not everyone is nice.' She replied.
'She could also understand pokemon. Now that I think about it, you kinda look like her kid.' She said, looking at me.
"Hey cool! My mommy can understand pokemon too!" I said happily as I thought of my mommy.
'Your mom... Does she happen to have long brunette hair and hazel eyes? Kinda like you?' Eevechu asked.
"Ya! You wanna meet her?" I asked, excitedly, happy to introduce new friend to my mommy.
'Ya sure kid.' She replied.
But before anyone one of us could react, a boy suddenly appeared. He looked to be about my age. He had brunette hair and hazel eyes like me. He wore a light brown shirt with dark brown pants and black shoes and...
... Eevee ears and a tail...
"Father I think I found-!" He stopped mid sentence as he looked at me.
We seemed to stare at each other for years. But the only thing on my mind was...
"You have ears and a tail too?" We said at the same time.
After a long pause we smiled at each other and both started laughing. As we calmed down he approached us and sat in font of me. Eevechu seemed hesitant at first as she sat on my lap to feel safe.
"Hi I'm James. What's your name?" He said.
"I'm Sophie and this is my friend Eeveechu!" I said, happily.
'Sup kid.' Eevechu said.
"So your Eevechu. Wait until father sees this!" He said enthusiastically as he stood up.
'Wait kid! Please don't tell your pop's that I'm here.' Eevechu, begged.
"Why? My father as been searching this whole forest for one!" He exclaimed.
"Please don't tell anyone!" I begged.
He looked at me and Eevechu, debating whether or not to disobey his father or to get Eevechu. I took one last look at me and sighed.
"Fine." He said as he sat back down.
"Thank you!" I said as I gave him a hug.
He hesitantly hugged back. As we pulled away, there was a rustle in one of the bushes. James' eyes widened as he looked at Eevechu and me.
"Go! And find a good spot to hide Eevechu!" James whispered, shouted.
She nodded and ran to a far away bush and dove in, completely hidden. Then a man with dark brown hair, ocean blue eyes appeared.
"Now James what have I been telling you about running off-" He stopped as he looked at me.
As I looked at him there seemed to be a slight form of hate and anger and hatred in his eyes as he looked at me.
"Oh I see that you have made a new friend here." He said with no emotion. "But we have to go now son." He said.
"Oh okay..." He said sadly.
"Bye Sophie." He said, his ears dropping.
But before he left he whispered something to my ear.
"Meet me back here tonight."
James' POV
As I waved goodbye to the girl I just met, a sick feeling came over me as she started to disappear into the distance. But then a happy feeling replaced it as I remembered I would meet her again here later tonight. To finally meet someone who is just like me!
"So that girl you met, she seems to have the same condition as you." My father said.
"Yes she does. And she's very nice." I replied, smiling.
"Just be careful with who you trust. Alright son?" My father asked.
"Yes father." I said.
"Good. Now son when we get home don't forget that that your mother and I will be gone so..."
But I wasn't listening for once. It wasn't like me to not listen to father, but I for once I couldn't help it. My mind drifted of to the girl I met. I still can't believe I'm not the only one. And I don't really have any friends because father doesn't let me go out much, so I'm glad that if I ever had a friend...
I'm glad it would be her.
