We begin by naming me and the rival. I named myself Ignem and the rival Latios. Then I proceeded to change the battle type to set and picked the potion from the PC.

I headed out to Oak's lab and chose my starter. I chose Charmander and named it Firestorm. My rival picked Squirtle and challenged me to a battle.

I easily destroyed him in battle. Then headed to Viridian, got Oak's parcel and got the pokeballs. Now the nuzlocke has started. I headed to Route 1 and my encounter is a Pidgey. I scratched once and tossed a pokeball but it broke free. I again scratched but it crit and the Pidgey fainted. Well amazing start. I headed to Viridian. I went west to Route 22 for new encounter. It was a Mankey. I easily caught using a single Pokeball. I named it PrimeJoe. Why? I asked on discord what should I theme my nicknames in this nuzlocke. And only one reply came. It said Joe. So I said ok.

Next I headed north of Viridian and took the useless tutorial of catching pokemon, then headed to route 2. I caught a Rattata there. Though it had Run Away, it was a Jolly Rattata, which was pretty pog. I nicknamed it RatiJoe.

I headed into Viridian forest and caught a Caterpie and named it ButterJoe. After destroying everyone in the forest I reached Pewter. The level cap for Pewter was 14. But I had PrimeJoe so Pewter should be easy. I grinded PrimeJoe and RatiJoe to 14 and Firestorm to 13. Then challenged Brock. With PrimeJoe it was an easy Low Sweep. I headed west from Pewter to route 3, battling trainers where Firestorm evolved to Charmeleon. Route 3 gave me a Male Nidoran. A really good encounter actually. Named it NidoJoe.

Mt moon gave me Zubat named JoeBat. But whilst grinding JoeBat it got Koed so that's that. I took the dome fossil from mt moon. Route 4 gave me a Spearow which I named FearJoe. Then was the battle against Latios. It was a close battle and PrimeJoe got Koed but we won it.

Next thing was to think what could win against Misty. I headed north through Nugget Bridge and defeated all the trainers there. My two encounters from there were a Pidgeotto and Weedle. I was hoping to get Bellsprout. I headed east training JoeDrill and Pidjoet up. Got the SS Anne ticket which gave me access to route 5, where my new encounter is.

And it was an Oddish. Not the best but it's something. I trained JoeDrill, RatiJoe and Joedish up to 20 and the rest to 18. Except Firestorm, I boxed him. I challenged Misty starting with Joedish. I first sleep powdered the Staryu and then Absorbed. But Staryu woke up on the next turn and Water Pulse confused Joedish. Then that thing hit itself for 3 turns before fainting. I sent out ButterJoe the ButterFree. Sleep powdered and the Confusioned for some turns to take out Staryu.

Starmie came out. ButterJoe tanked a Water Pulse and Sleep Powdered again. Is switched in JoeDrill and TwinNeedled hits twice critting once to take out Starmie. Misty was down. I boxed Joedish. I continued to Vermillion catching JoeCat the Meowth on route 6.

I caught Joetrio the Diglett in Diglett cave and Joezee the Drowzee on route 11 which I was excited about. Since I had banned myself from using Alakazam Hypno is the next good Psychic type. But while I was training Joezee it got Koed so yeah. I headed to SS Anne and battled all the trainers there getting Brick Break. Then was my next battle with Latios. Which was an easy sweep with my Raticate, Ratijoe. Hyper Fang easily decimated all of his pokemon. I got the HM cut taught it to Ratijoe. And then challenged Surge. Nijoeking easily sweeped through with Dig. I then headed to Pewter to get the Old Amber then to East of Cerulean to head to Lavender through Rock Tunnel. I caught a Ekans on Route 9, called Arjoek, Voltorb on Route 10 called Elecjoed and a Machop in Rock Tunnel called Majoek. Though I cannot use Machamp I can use Machoke which is also pretty good. I rushed through Rock Tunnel and to Lavender. Not much to do these so I headed to Celadon catching a Growlithe on route 8. On route 7 I cannot catch anything. The pokemon on that route are Meowth, Oddish, Growlithe and Pidgey all of which are Dupes for me, so scratch that.

On Route 16 I caught a Doduo named JoeDrio. And that's all. I am currently grinding for the Erika's battle. So see you all later.
