As Diantha left the Viridian Forest she continued her journey and went to the Pewter City.

She first went to the pokemon center to rest her pokemons. While she was waiting she bought some supplies at the mart.

After getting her pokemon he went to the Pewter City Gym to battle Brock.

Diantha entered the gym. She saw the place, the huge place made her nervous.

"Welcome to the Pewter City Gym" she heard a voice.

When she looked at where the voice came from, she saw Brock the gym leader.

"What is it that brought you here?" he asked

"I'm here to challenge you for the Boulder Badge" she answered.

Brock looked at her " Is that so, then prepare your pokemon cause here we go!" he threw a pokeball.

A geodude came out of the pokeball.

Diantha scanned the rock pokemon.

Geodude

Geodude is a gray boulder Pokémon. Geodude uses its arms to climb steadily up steep mountain paths. Geodude is proud of its sturdy body and will bash against others of its kind in a contest of sorts to prove whose body is harder.

'So its a ground type pokemon huh' she thought

"Come out, Milotic!" she summoned Milotic.

"So you have a water pokemon huh"-Brock

"Yeah so what if I do?"-Diantha

"Well this would be good. I'll let you do the first move"

"If you say so, Milotic use bubblebeam!" she shouted

"Geodude dodge it with Rollout!"  he ordered

Milotic used bubblebeam on Geodude but Geodude was able to dodge it using bubble beam. While geodude dodge it, it rolled behind milotic and attacked her from behind.

"Milotic! Hang in there!"

"Looks like you didn't had a plan" he said. " Geodude use rollout once more!"

"Milotic dodge it and use water pulse!"

As geodude rolls through Milotic, milotic bounced and used water pulse on geodude.

"Geodude!" Brock shouted

Geodude seems to be in confused state thanks to the water pulse.

"Now milotic use Aurora Beam!"

While geodude was distracted, Milotic used Aurora Beam at Geodude. Geodude fainted

"Geodude return!" he summoned back geodude and took another pokeball. "You're good kid, but you need to defeat my next pokemon if you want the Boulder badge"

Brock threw his pokeball to the field and a huge snake with metal coat appeared before her.

"Is that..." She pointed her pokedex.

Steelix

Steelix is a long, serpentine Pokémon with a silvery-gray body made up of rock-like sections, which can possess chips and scrapes from fights and tunneling. Three of those sections have long rock spikes coming out of them on either side.

"That pokemon is huge. I need to plan a strategy to defeat it" she said

"This time we'll do the first move. Steelix! Use Sandstorm!" he shouted

Steelix used sandstorm and the whole battle field was covered in sandstorm

"Now use dig!" even though the field was covered in sandstorm which makes it very hard to see, you could hear the ground shaking which means Steelix is under the ground.

"Milotic use water pulse on the ground then ice beam!"

Milotic rapidly shoots water pulse around her and used ice beam next. Judging by these actions you would know that they froze the surrounding.

"Now use Blizzard!"

Milotic used blizzard around her making it clear for them to see.

"If you were gonna us blizzard to clear up the sandstorm, why would you even freeze the ground" he asked

"You will know later" she answered

" If you say so, Steelix use Crunch on Milotic"

"Milotic use Mist and dodge their attack!"

Milotic used mist making thick fog for Steelix to see. Steelix rose up from the ground. You could see it's huge dark shadow however milotic couldn't be seen.

"What?" Brock said

Milotic lowered its body trying to camoflouge on the ground for it tobe unseen.

"Now milotic use Blizzard on Steelix!"

Milotic showered Steelix with Blizzard

"Steelix!-"

"Now Milotic finish it with Water Pulse!" she said pointing at the huge pokemon's shadow

Milotic shot out a huge Water pulse directly at steelix.  The mist cleared up and you could see Milotic standing while Steelix is laying on the ground fainted.

"I've won!" she said

She went to milotic and hugged her " Oh thank you milotic!"

"I guess you beat me huh..." Brock went to them "Here you earned this" he gave Diantha the Boulder Badge

"Awww thank you so much Mr. Brock" she took a notebook and handed it to him " Can I also have your autograph???"

Brock was shocked then later signed her notebook "Sure anything for a fan"

"Thank you so much for everything!" she took out her pokeball "Bye!" she waved and left.

She first took her pokemon to the pokemon center before going to the Mt. Moon
