Third Person POV

Ddraig: ['So, Partner. Do you know where we should be going?']

Issei: 'Not even a single clue'

Issei was walking down a dirt path, holding a backpack which had some stuff given to him by his mother. Walking besides him was his starter Pokémon, Fennekin who he decided to keep out because Issei felt like that she could use the time to stretch her legs.

He didn't know how long she had been in her Pokeball for, but he figured that it must've been for a couple of years. But now that she was free, she can feel the warm sun shine its rays of light onto her fur.

Issei looked down at Fennekin who was walking next to the brown-haired boys leg, looking up at her trainer and smiling at him.

Issei: 'Heh, she's pretty adorable'

Issei stopped for a second, kneeling down and proceeded scratch the back of Fennekin's ear, making the fox Pokémon's tail wag side to side.

Issei: 'Maybe this won't be so bad...'

Ddraig: ['Just remember what the professor and your mother told you']

Issei nodded his head, remembering the information and stuff that he was given before he set off on his new journey to become a Pokémon trainer.

(Flashback)

Professor Oak watched with an amused smile, this was Issei's first step into the world of Pokémon. He knew that the brown-haired boy will face many tough challenges, but he reckons that his Fennekin will be by his side.... no matter what comes their way.

The Professor soon cleared his throat, gaining both Issei and Fennekin's attention as they looked at the old man.

Professor Oak: "Now that you have met your partner, I believe you will be needing these"

He took out two things, the first was a couple of Pokeballs which Issei believed were meant to go on his belt, since it looked like it was specifically designed to hold the objects instead of keeping them in his pocket.

The next was a flat device which looked like it could extend out into a tablet, the color of the device was red with some black and it had a similar circular shape like the middle of the Pokeballs.

Issei: "What's that, Professor?"

Professor: "This is called the Pokedex, something that your mother told me to give you"

Issei tilted his head.

Issei: "First Fennekin and now this? did Gary and the other trainers get one?"

Professor Oak: "Yes and no, they have a Pokedex each but they are ones that I designed while this is from your uncle"

Issei was taken aback a little, his uncle designed this Pokedex? this made Issei wonder if his uncle was also a Professor like Professor Oak. He had to be because Oak said that the one Gary has was a model designed by him, kinda makes Issei wonder what it looks like.

Issei decided to not question it for now and took the Pokeballs, placing them on his belt before taking the Pokedex from the Professor.

Issei: "Thank you, Professor"

The Professor smiled.

Professor Oak: "Your welcome, Issei"

He then grew a serious expression, but one with a siften gaze.

Professor Oak: "Now listen closely, Issei. This is a big step in your life, it won't be like how you and Gary acted when you were kids"

Issei merely listened to the Professor, analyzing his words as he was a little surprised that Gary and himself knew each other as kids. He guessed that before he came into the world of Pokémon, some stuff happened that he doesnt recall.

Then again, its probably cause he hasn't tried to dig deep into the memories of this new body. He'll probably do that at some point down the line, for now he should worry about it yet.

Issei: "I know, Professor. But I have been waiting my whole life for this. This is my big moment, I cant let it go to waste"

???: "Then, your gonna need some things"

Both the Professor and Issei perked up as they turned toward the doorway, seeing Issei's mother standing there with a backpack in his hands.

Issei: "Mom!"

Professor Oak smiled.

Professor Oak: "Ah, Isabella. I wasn't expecting this surprised visit"

Issei's mother, who's name was Isabella smiled at the professor as she walked into the lab.

Isabella: "Well, you think I would just sit at home while my son is about to start his Pokémon journey?"

Professor Oak: "Heh, I guess your right"

Isabella giggled as she walked up to Issei, noticing Fennekin and smiled at the two.

Isabella: "I see that your getting along with Fennekin already"

Issei chuckled.

Issei: "Yeah, thanks for preparing ahead of time"

Isabella: "Its no problem, Sweetie. Anything for my cute little boy"

Issei's face went a little red from embarrassment, even in another world he's gotta be embarrassed by his mother. Like seriously, this feels like the baby pictures all over again.

Issei: "Mom! don't embarrass me!"

Isabella giggled.

Isabella: "Okay, okay. I'll stop"

She looked at Fennekin, petting thr fox Pokémon.

Isabella: "Take good car of my, Issei. Okay?"

Fennekin: "Fen! Fen! Fennekin!"

Isabella smiled at the Pokémon's response as Issei noticed the backpack in his mother's hands, causing him to raise his eyebrow in confusion. He wondered what his mother packed for him, the first things that come to his mind are extra clothes and some food.

However, he gets the feeling that there's something else inside the backpack. Like, it looks like it has a little bit of weight to it from what he can see.

Issei: "Hey Mom, whats in the backpack?"

Isabella looked at Issei.

Isabella: "Some stuff that you will need such as clothes and food, but I also packed some other things"

She opened the backpack and revealed some Potions inside, each looked the same but had a different color to them.

Isabella: "Some Potions like healing and poison curing Potions for your Fennekin"

Issei nodded as his mother then took out a strange looking stone, it was blue in color and looked to be harden water, not frozen since ice looked entirely different.

The stone was also giving off a very strange ge feeling to Issei, one that he seemed to be the only one able to sense because neither his mother nor professor Oak was reacting to what he was feeling.

Issei: "What is that, Mom?"

Isabella: "This is a water stone, this will assist you at some point down the line. So for now, keep it close by you at all times"

Issei was confused on what she meant, but he simply nodded his head. His mother knew more than him, if she says that he'll be needing that stone than he should probably listen to her. With that, Isabella soon reached back into the backpack and took out one last thing, the item in question appeared to be a strange disk of some sorts.

Isabella: "This is a TM, you can give it to your Pokémon and they can learn the more thats on it"

Issei was surprised by this.

Issei: "Wait, so your saying that if I give it to Fennekin, she can learn something powerful"

Professor Oak: "It's not that simple, I'm afraid"

This confused Issei as he tilted his head in confusion.

Issei: "What do you mean?"

Isabella: "Not every Pokémon can learn what's on a TM, each is specifically attuned for a general type of Pokémon. This TM is called Shadow Claw"

Issei: "Shadow Claw..."

Isabella started to put the items back into the backpack, placing them neatly before closing it up and handing the backpack over to her son who took it from her.

Isabella: "Well, that should be everything you need. But promise me something"

Issei: "Okay, what is it mom?"

Isabella placed a hand on her sons shoulders, looking into his brown eyes as she smiled at him.

Isabella: "Promise that you'll be okay, promise that you won't do anything that will make me worry...."

Issei remained silent, he wants to be honest with her since he has no idea what he'll experience once he leaves Pallet Town. But he also doesn't like the idea of seeing her cry, she isnt his TRUE mother.... but merely thinking of that cause his heart to sting a little.

He then let out a small sigh.

Issei: "I'll try mom, I'll try..."

(Flashback End)

Issei: 'Yeah, no way I'm forgetting any of that'

Issei looked down at Fennekin.

Issei: "Okay, Fennekin. We've traveled quite a distance and I take it that you're a little bored?"

Fennekin: "Fen!"

Issei chuckled as he took out his Pokedex.

Issei: "Okay, lets see what moves you know so I know what to do..."

The top of his Pokedex rose uo as the screen turned on, showing an image of Fennekin.

Pokedex: {"Fennekin, the Fox Pokémon. Fennekin can be temperament, but its tries to do its best for its trainer. Searing heat blows from its ears, it also loves to snack on twigs"}

Issei: "Wow, this thing works pretty well. Gotta say, I didnt expect your species to be the type to snack on twigs"

He looked down at Fennekin, who looked up at its trainer and tilted her head which made Issei laugh a little.

Issei: "You are just so adorable"

Fennekin blushed a little, embarrassed from hearing its trainer call her adorable as Issei went over the moves that she knew.

Issei: "Let's see here.... Scratch, Tailwhip, Ember...."

Issei soon raised an eyebrow.

Issei: "Heatwave?"

The brown-haired boy had to say, that last move sounded the most interesting out of all her moves that she knew so far. However, he feels like he shouldn't use a move like that all the time... it feels like it should be more of a last resort type of move.

Ddraig: ['Wow, Partner. I've never seen you think so much. I'm honestly shocked']

Issei's eye twitched.

Issei: 'THE HELL DOES THAT ME-'

Before Issei could finish his sentence, a rustling sound came from behind as Issei quickly turned around and saw something. It was a small, plump-bodied avian Pokémon, its primarily brown with a cream-colored face, underside, and flight feathers. On top of its head was a short crest of three tufts. The center crest feathers were brown and the outer two tufts were cream-colored. Just under its crest was its narrow eyes which had white sclera and pupil along with its black irises. Angular black marking extend from behind its eyes and continue down its cheeks. It had a short, stubby beak and feet with two toes in front and one in back. Both its beak and feet were a grayish-pink and it had a short, brown tail made of three feathers.

Issei observed as the bird seemed to be minding its own buisness, pecking at the ground.

Issei: "A pidgey...."

The boy blinked, how did he know that? how did he just know the name of the Pokémon? this was his first time seeing one besides Fennekin, yet he feels like this was like the most basic of Pokémon knowledge.

Issei: "How did I know that..."

He took out his Pokedex and rose it up.

Pokedex: {"Pidgey, the Avian Pokémon. Very docile. If attacked, it will often kick up sand to protect itself rather than fight back"}

Issei: "Sand, huh?.... thats good to know"

He put his Pokedex away as he looked at Fennekin.

Issei: "Okay, Fennekin. This will be our first battle, you think you can take that Pidgey?"

Fennekin smiled.

Fennekin: "Fen! Fen! Fennekin!"

Issei: "Atta, girl. Let's go get it!"

The two ran toward thr Pidgey, Fennekin taking the lead as the noise gained the attention of the Pidgey who looked over.

Issei: "Fennekin, attack with a scratch!"

Fennekin roared as she leaped toward the Pidgey, her claws glowing as she went in for a slash. However, the Pidgey managed to dodge the attack and took to the air which Issei knew would put his Pokémon at a disadvantage because she won't be able to reach it unless he can think of something.

Pidgey: "Pi! Pidgey!!"

Pidgey's flapped its wings quickly as huge gust of wind began to cover the area, causing Issei to grit his teeth as the avaian Pokémon summoned a mini tornado around itself.

Issei: "Crap, Fennekin dodge it and use Ember!"

Fennekin moved out of the way of the tornado as het let out a small blast of flames from her mouth, striking the tornado and the Pidgey which sent it flying backwards. Issei smirked as he wanted to catch it, but he stopped himself when he noticed the Pidgey had quickly recovered from the attack.

The brown-haired boy watched as it flew back into the air and flapped its wings away, but instead of a tornado spawning it from it what came was a lot of sand and dust clouds which blinded both Issei and Fennekin.

The Pokedex warned him of the sand attack but Issei expected it to be something small, he wasnt prepared for the bird to summon a bloodly sand storm on them.

Issei: "Grrr, Fennekin. Are you okay!?"

Fennekin: "Fen!"

Issei watch as the sand began to slowly die down, letting him see that Fennekin was alright, covered in sand but there didn't seem to be any damage done to her. He let out a small sigh of relief as he noticed the Pidgey flying away from the area, making its escape.

Issei: "Well, that's embarrassing..."

Fennekin: "Fen!"

Issei walked over to Fennekin, who began to shake off all the sand as she was very annoyed by what the Pidgey had done to her fur. The fox Pokémon looked up at her trainer, who kneeled down and pet her on the head.

Issei: "There, there. You did wonderful"

Fennekin: "Fen..."

Fennekin soon noticed something as her eyes widen.

Fennekin: "Fen! Fen!"

Issei: "Huh? what is i-"

Suddenly, Issei was struck from behind and sent to the ground. He groaned a little as Fennekin came up to his face, seeing if her master was alright.

Fennekin: "Fen! Fen! Fen!"

Issei: "I'm okay, I'm okay... what the hell hit me?"

Issei slowly got up as he looked and saw a bird flying in the sky, but this time it wasnt a Pidgey. It was another avian Pokémon, but this time it had a brown body, and pale red wings. Its underbelly was beige while possessing a dark brown plumage on its head, the Pokémon's rear was black and its tail feathers were a shade of brown.

Issei: "The hell is that thing!?"

He quickly took out his Pokedex.

Pokedex: {"Spearow, unlike most flying type Pokémon, Spearow has a bad attitude and can sometimes be aggressive to Pokémon and people. Like all wild Pokémon, they are jealous of trained Pokémon and will sometimes attack for no reason"}

Issei: "Oh, you have got to be ki-"

Before Issei could finish, he quickly ducked and narrowly avoided the swooping Spearow. The wild Pokémon appeared irritated as it attempted another attack, but before it could land a hit on Issei, Fennekin stepped in and attacked with a scratch.

Spearow evaded the attack and flew back up, letting out a call that gave Issei a sense of unease. Unfortunately, his concerns were justified as Spearow's call summoned an entire flock of its kind.

The sheer number of Spearows was overwhelming, and both Issei and Fennekin knew they had to escape. Without wasting a second, they started sprinting, trying to put as much distance as possible between them and the pursuing Spearows. Fennekin's multiple legs gave her an advantage over Issei, which relieved him as he didn't want her to get hurt.

However, their efforts were in vain as the Spearows caught up and began attacking Issei and Fennekin. Issei swatted away as many as he could, but his heart sank as he heard a cry for help.

Many Spearows ganged up on Fennekin, pecking and clawing at her. Witnessing this reminded Issei of the times his friends had abandoned him, leaving him behind to be beaten up by the Kendo Girls. He would return home with bruises and marks, worrying his parents, who scolded him for his perverted nature. Anger surged within Issei as he watched the Spearows needlessly attack them and harm his partner.

Determined not to let it happen, Issei intervened. He ran towards the Spearows, kicking one in the face and sending it tumbling backward. He then grabbed another Spearow, his eyes shifting from chocolate brown to a menacing green, his pupils taking on a reptilian appearance.

Issei pulled his fist back and punched the Avian Pokémon directly in the face, sending it soaring through a tree. He was taken aback by his own strength but quickly regained his focus. He lifted Fennekin, who was whimpering in pain, and carried her close to his chest while fending off the remaining Spearows. No matter how many times those foolish birds attacked him, they wouldn't lay a single claw on Fennekin again.

As Issei continued running, he noticed a cliff up ahead. Determined not to let the Spearows catch up, he made a split-second decision. He leaped off the cliff, holding Fennekin tightly as they plummeted towards the water below.

Upon impact, the strong current immediately swept Issei away. Despite the chaotic situation, he refused to let go of Fennekin, aware that the current could separate them. He waited for a moment before resurfacing for air. However, before he could do so, he felt something snag the back of his jacket, causing his eyes to shoot open.

Issei was forcefully thrown out of the water, crashing onto the rocky shore. He groaned in pain, knowing he would feel it in the morning. Coughing slightly, he glanced down at Fennekin, still breathing but clinging to his chest, her claws digging into his jacket.

???: "Nah, its just a kid.... Oh, and a Pokémon!"

Issei perked up as he turned and was greeted by the sight of a beautiful young woman with vibrant orange hair that falls just above her shoulders, tied up in a side ponytail with a yellow scrunchie. Her eyes were a deep shade of cerulean blue, accentuated by long lashes. She wore a yellow tank top with red suspenders, blue denim shorts, and red sneakers. On her wrists she wore blue wristbands, and she carried a small yellow backpack.

Issei: "Who are you?"

Girl: "No time for that, Is that Pokémon okay?"

Issei looked down at Fennekin.

Issei: "Yeah, she'll be fine.... hopefully"

He slowly stood up, grunting a little as he looked at the girl.

Issei: "Where's the nearest Poke-center?"

Again, Issei said something that he doesnt even know existed. But now wasnt the time to question himself, he had ro get Fennekin to the Poke-center before he loses her.

Girl: "Oh, its not far from here. Just take the trail and you can be there in no time"

Issei nodded his head, but he soon turned and saw the flock of Spearows which made him grit his teeth.

Issei: "Damn it, its them!"

He turned to run, but noticed that the girl had a bike with a basket. Issei didnt want to steal anything esspecially since she just told him where to find help, but Fennekin's life was on the line and he wasnt gonna lose her.

Issei gently placed Fennekin in the basket, much to the girls shock.

Girl: "Hey, what are you doing!?"

Issei: "What does it look like!?"

The brown-haired got on the bike and looked at the girl, a serious expression on his face.

Issei: "Im not letting my Pokémon die to those fucking birds..."

With that, he began to ride off, leaving the girl both shocked and annoyed because Issei had just stolen her property. Sure, his Pokémon's life was on the line, but he didn't have to take it from her.

As Issei rode the bike down the pathway, he could faintly hear the sound of Spearows' wings flapping behind him. However, their noise was soon overpowered by the rumbling thunder, and the once bright blue sky grew dark as the sun became obscured by clouds.

Fennekin lifted her gaze, raindrops falling upon them like leaves cascading from a tree in autumn. Issei pressed on, enduring the attacks from the Spearows, making sure none of them got a chance to harm Fennekin.

Issei: 'DDRAIG, IF YOU WANNA BE USEFUL THAN HELP ME!!'

Ddraig: ['I'm working on it, in working on it!']

Issei continued to peddle, jumping off a small cliff which sent the boy and Fennekin flying off the bike. Issei merely grunted in pain as heblooked over at his starter, crawling toward her.

Issei: "Fennekin, are you okay!?"

Fennekin looked up at Issei.

Fennekin: "Fen..."

Issei took out Fennekin's Pokeball and placed it next to her.

Issei: "Fennekin, get in the Pokeball. You'll be safe there, I'll buy us as much time as I can..."

Fennekin: "Fen!...."

Getting up, Issei turned and glared at the flock of Spearows who were drawing closer and closer to the boy and his Pokémon. Issei had desired a second chance, a new beginning to his life and he had been given that.

While he has barely been in this new world for a day, he could proudly say that it was definitely better than his previous life. Spending time with Fennekin, while short was fun and if he was gonna die here than he will do so.... protecting her.

Issei glared at the Spearows, the sound of Thunder, lighting and rain falling through air all around them.

Issei: "Alright Buzzard brains, Listen up! my name is Issei H-... I'm Issei Reyes from Pallet Town and hear there, do whatever you want to me...."

The Spearows dove down toward the boy with the intent of finishing what they had started, but just like before, Issei's eyes soon went green, glowing with a menacing aura.

Issei: "BUT YOU WONT HARM FENNEKIN! YOU HEAR ME!! YOU WONT TOUCH HER!!"

At that moment, something extraordinary happened to Issei. It was as if something had unlocked within him. The brown-haired boy found himself surrounded by a colossal fiery pillar that blazed with intensity, illuminating the darkened sky for miles and miles around.

This sudden display of power created a massive shockwave that reverberated through the land and the air, forcefully sending the Avian Pokémon hurtling backward. However, the impact of Issei's newfound ability didn't end there. Miraculously, the wave of energy also brought the rainfall to an abrupt halt, and the sun began to break through the dissipating clouds, casting its warm light upon the world once more.

Meanwhile....

In a unknown place, a place full of mystery, a place where space seemed to be almost distorted. Something flew through the empty pink void before quickly coming to a halt.

This thing was a very large, bipedal dragon. The majority of its body had a light pink-gray-white coloring with linear sections on its body being purple. Its arms and shoulders were covered by large, armored plates, and each hand holds five nails. The round plates on its shoulders each had a large pearl in the center, while on its back was a pair of wings which didnt look capable of flight.

Dragon: "This Power, this Aura. I have felt something like this before, nothing like fathers.... its one I haven't felt since long ago"

The dragons eyes soon widen in realization as it turned its head in a random direction.

Dragon: "Could it be, have you finally returned after so long, Ddraig..."

A smile grew on the dragons face, a smile which looked very.... feminine.

Dragon: "Your finally back.... My Beloved"
