Divided Unity Ch2: Glittering Waters

"Juliah, Master Xerneas would like to see you."

"She does? Yay! What does she want me to do? Go and help her make a carnival? Oh I know, I know! To help her create a stage for a coming event!"

"Juliah come now, we mustn't waste any time!"

"Okay! Coming~!"

Following Xerneas's servant, they walk through town, Juliah greeting strangers here and there, and to be dragged by the servant. Always telling her to stay on task, and not to go and lollygag.

"Why does Lady Xerneas need me?"

"Don't ask me, she wanted it in private."

"So a surprise party! But for who?"

Deciding to ignore every question now, the servant continues to walk on. Never stopping until they reach a sacred tree which Xerneas stays in on her travels through the Fairy territory.

"You may take your leave. Now then, Juliah, come hither."

"Of course Lady Xerneas!"

"Do you have any clue why you were called upon of?"

"No? Is it a party?"

"Sadly no, some of the counci-"

"Where my older sister works at? Are we throwing a party for her?"

"Patience, Juliah. Let me finish. The council has agreed that you shall be exiled for a short time."

"Exiled? Why? Oh, I know! Is the party at this 'Exiled' place?"

"No sweetie, but it means that you will have to stay away from any Fairy claimed lands."

"What! But can't I go home? Or is there still a party outside of our lands?"

"Farewell, Juliah you are hereby exiled until next summer," Xerneas sighs, as a surge of energy fills the land beneath her, causing Juliah to glow, and vanish.

"May we search now, my Lady?"

"Yes, start searching. Don't leave one speck unturned of in that Jigglypuff's home. Make sure to report if anything out of the ordinary is found of. Remember, we have a year's worth to search a small place.

--------

"Lady Xerneas? What did I do this time to get all the way stuck out here? Well, I guess I should start heading back home then..."

"Hmmm yes, she'll do well. Exiled out of her own faction..." a voice purrs in the shadows of the forest.

"W-who goes there?"

Before she knows it, Juliah is enveloped in a purple mist, with the instant feeling of drowsiness, Juliah collapses onto the ground, dreaming peacefully of a party.

"You sure she'll be of use? They probably exiled her because of how she is, unlike any other out Fairy type, you know."

"I highly doubt that, well let's go and meet up with the boss, we're late anyway."

"Whatever if she asks where we were, you're taking the blame."

-------------

"Can I go with dad, this time, mom? Please, please can I go?"

"Go ask your father. It isn't always up to me."

"Dad? Can I come with you on this trading trip? You told me I could go next summer, and that summer is now!"

"I don't know son, a lot more bandits have been appearing lately and hurting and stealing the traders..."

"But you said I could come, and I am more than capable to defend myself. You saw me fight with the others during the training class yesterday!"

"He has been training seriously ever since you told him that he could come this year. I'm sure it'll be fine."

"Well, I guess this one time won't hurt. But, you have to be listening to me, Oliver. Although, you may have to help and carry the cargo as well. Very well then, come on little adventurer, let's go and start packing up."

"So where are we headed to on this trip?"

"From what I heard, we are headed to the Dark-type capitol, Shadowbreak."

"Isn't that bad, though? I've heard from Porter that some would attack other types."

"Son, that is a false rumor. I'm sure they would do that to Psychics, however. I remember one of my co-workers mentioning it once when we were there. Haha, got some growls and stares the entire time we were there. Just be careful of what you say, okay?"

"I will dad, so are their forests any different from the ones near here? Or did they build town-like places like us?"

"Calm down, Oliver we'll go there and you can see for yourself. But what's our number one thing?"

"To never provoke the customer as it can lead to bad trades?"

"Atta boy, come now, I'll show you some of the things I bring, and pack some tools for you as well."

Guiding him to the shed next to their home, Oliver's father shows him the family bag that has been long been passed from generations before. Unlike any ordinary bag, somehow their old relatives managed to have the bag blessed by Palka: the Pokmon of space. Resulting in a near endless storage with the bag.

"So then, do you know what to pack?"

"Yeah, you told me before, and I memorized the things you bring."

"Well then, start finding the tools. I'll be right back, need to visit the shop for something. Don't put anything into the bag, okay? Or take out of."

"Alright, dad!"

With him gone, Oliver starts to go around and look through the shed. Finding the right tools: the block used for weighing, a few glass bottles, a compass, and other tools used to set a price for an item.

Before he finds the last thing he needs to find, something catches his eyes. Something glittering within a pile of tools and junk.

Moving towards it, shuffling some stuff out of the way, he picks up the glittering blue rock, which looks like a gem, attached to a string: some kind of necklace. Tilting his head to the side, he can't help but feel... well, something from it. Something of great power is the only way he could explain it as.

Putting his thoughts aside, he straps it around his neck then continues to search for the last tool. Still thinking what he found, and whether or not to tell his dad.
