Previously on Pokémon Chaos and Order...

Ash, Serena and Nate arrived at Nacrene City. Because of overcrowding in the Pokemon Center, Ash and Serena share a room. Because they still have a lot of time to kill, the three go to explore the city and come across Lenora, the Nacrene City Gym Leader and her son, Cheren.

Serena is challenges by Cheren to have a pseudo-Gym Battle, and Serena wins, awarding her the Basic Badge. Because Serena remembered that Cheren was in the summer camp she went to when she was younger, Ash wondered if she remembered him.

Ash went to ask her, but Serena beat him to the punch. And now both our heroes know that they've met each-other in the past.

Our heroes arrive at Pinwheel Forest, their last stop before setting sail to Virbank City, sight of Ash's second Gym Battle. Serena thinks that this is a great opportunity for them to catch new Pokémon.

"Well I already have a full team of 6 Pokémon..." Nate responded. "But I can stand watch of the time passing. You two go catch whatever you want!" Ash and Serena nodded and went to look for Pokémon to catch, while Nate set his Xtransceiver (Pronounced Cross-Transceiver) clock for the time the ship was scheduled to set sail.

"Alright, so what kind of Pokémon can we find here?" Ash murmured to himself before checking the Pokedex to see just that. 'Let's see... Pidove, Timburr, Tympole, Throh, Sawk, Audino, Sewaddle, Venipede, Cotenee, Petilil, Basculin and the Elemental Monkeys used by the Striaton City Gym Leaders...'

Ash turns to Serena and shows her the Pokedex, showing her what Pokemon can be found in the area. "Wow! That one's pretty cool..." she says pointing at a Pokemon.

It was a bipedal, pink-and-cream Pokemon with oval, blue eyes. The top of its head, its back, and arms are pink, while the lower half of its face, body, ears are cream-colored, as well as its front and fingers. The patterning of pink and cream on its chest resembles a jacket. There are three digits on its hands and two on its feet. It has a puffy, white tuft for a tail. It has floppy ears with thin, curled extensions on the underside.

Ash turns to look at the Pokedex. "Oh! That's an Audino! Let's see what Dexter has to say about it..." Ash clicks at Audino's icon.

Audino, the Hearing Pokemon.

Audino has incredibly sensitive hearing, using its ears like radar to pick up even the faintest sounds.

"Well, there aren't any Pokemon that catch my eye here so let me help you out!" Ash says to his old friend. Serena gives Ash a giggle. "Thanks Ash!"

Ash and Serena start to look around the forest for an Audino. The Pokedex data said that Audino are easily found in rustling patches of grass, since they move a lot. Suddenly they hear a rustling sound in the nearby bushes. Serena, thinking that it's an Audino, gently spreads the bush leaves apart, to reveal the Pokemon inside it.

However the Pokémon that Serena found is not an Audino. Instead it was a small, quadruped fox-like Pokémon. It is covered in pale yellow fur that is longer on its haunches. Tufts of dark orange fur cover the insides of its large ears, and it has a white muzzle with longer fur on its cheeks. It has large, dark orange eyes and a pointed, black nose. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen in its upper jaw. It also has small paws with no visible toes and slim legs.

Serena looked at the Pokémon, and sparkles filled her eyes as she looked at the adorable little Fox Pokémon. "ASH!" She called out. "COME QUICK!" Ash and Pikachu turn around and run over to Serena. "WHAT'S UP? DID YOU FIND IT?!" He asked grabbing an empty Pokeball and ready to hand it over to Serena. "Pi Pikachu!"

Serena grabbed the little Fox Pokémon in her arms and turned over to face Ash. "No, I found something better! LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS!" "Fen?" The Pokémon barks in confusion, as if it didn't know that it was cute. "You're right! It is pretty cute!" "Pikachu!" Ash and Pikachu both agreed, as Ash pulled up the Pokedex.

Fennekin, the Fox Pokémon.

Fennekin expels hot air that can reach nearly 400 degrees. It likes to snack on twigs.

Ash put the Pokedex back in his bag. "So Serena, do you wanna catch it?" He asked her. She thought for a moment before turning Fennekin over to face her. "What do you say Fennekin?" She asked. "Wanna join my Pokémon team?" Fennekin then barked and hopped out of Serena's grasp, as if telling her 'I wanna join you, but you're gonna have to catch me first!'

Fennekin started to run off, and Serena quickly ran after it. Ash just looked at the honey-blonde girl as she ran off after Fennekin. 'It's not as cute as you, Serena...' Ash thought to himself before the realization of what he thought hit him. 'DID I JUST CALL HER CUTE?!' He thought in disbelief. 'What does this mean...?' He thought, trying to think of a reasonable explanation, being as dense as a rock.

Beep Beep. Beep Beep. Beep Beep.

Ash heard his Xtransceiver beeping. He looked over at the wrist-watch like device and saw Nate looking back at him. Ash had given his Xtransceiver number to both Serena and Nate a little while back. "Hey Nate, what's up?" Ash greeted his new friend. "Hey Ash, I just want to tell you that I got the time the ship is scheduled to leave, and I need your help to get the tickets..." he then hung up.

Ash had a confused expression on his face. 'But we already have the tickets...' he thought to himself. In any case, Ash thought that Nate needed help with something and so he started to walk back and see what he needed. He of course alerted Serena to where he was going, and via the Xtransceiver he told her to meet him by their campsite when she caught Fennekin, to which she simply nodded.

After hanging up, Ash reached their campsite. And he saw... no one. Ash was pretty confused as to where Nate was and he and Pikachu started calling his name. "Nate?!" "Kach Pi!" Now you'd think that because they were in a forest, the sound of Ash's and Pikachu's voices would echo around like 'voice ping-pong', however in this case you'd be wrong.

The sound of their voices was only heard for the second or two that they said it. Ash remembered his lessons of survival in the Pokémon Academy, they said that when a loud sound isn't echoed in a huge space like a forest, that means that there's something close to you that is sucking in all the noise. Something big. (I don't know how scientifically accurate this is but this is the Pokémon world! Where science comes to die!)

Ash and Pikachu stood their ground, ready to battle whatever it was that was 'devouring' the sound. However, it wasn't something that they expected. A giant mechanical hand shot out, out of nowhere and reached into Ash's shoulder, grabbing Pikachu and whisking it away. Ash obviously feels what happened and looks over at his shoulder. He sees Pikachu being yanked backwards and immediately turns around. "PIKACHU!" He cries out to his partner.

He sees Pikachu being held up by a mechanical hand of some sort of robot, and on its other hand is Nate. Ash figures out that Nate was ambushed by whatever this was and was forced to sent that message to him by whomever was operating the... thing.

Ash greets his teeth and screams out. "ALRIGHT! WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" Ash then hears some evil giggling. He immediately knew what it meant. The robot's mouth opened up to reveal three figures...

"Did someone ask something? We're here to find out!" He heard the woman, Jessie, speak. "Noble answers are what we're all about!" The man, James, said. "The beauty so radiant, the flowers and moon hide in shame! A single flower of evil in this fleeting world... JESSIE!" "The nobly heroic man of our times! The master of darkness fighting back against a tragic world! IT'S JAMES!" The cat-like Pokémon Meowth, spoke next: "It's all for one and one for all! It's all for one and one for all! Dig it, while Meowth takes flight!"

Jessie and James then spoke together. "Team Rocket...! LET'S FIGHT!" "MEOWTH THAT'S RIGHT!" Ash had a look of rage in his eyes. "TEAM ROCKET!" He screamed. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" Team Rocket then chuckled. "What do you mean, isn't that obvious?" Jessie asked. "What we've been after for o-so-long!" James replied. "We're definitely after Pikachu, dumb twerp!"

"WELL KEEP DREAMING! FROGADIER. I CHOOSE YOU!" Ash exclaimed as he threw Frogadier's Pokeball forward, releasing Frogadier. "FROGA!" It croaked. "LET'S TAKE 'EM OUT FROGADIER! USE WATER PULSE!" Frogadier then jumped high in the air and crossed its arms in front its face while jerking its head backwards and closing its eyes. Frogadier then becomes surrounded by multiple rings of water.

Frogadier then opens its eyes and its mouth, revealing a light blue constantly changing orb of water. "Fro... Ga.. DIER!" Frogadier croaked before shooting the orb at the robot, causing it to transform into a comet-like jet of pulsing water. Frogadier's Water Pulse hit the robot directly causing it to send out a wave of pulsating water around it with a huge splash.

Ash hoped that the water would short-circuit the robot's wireing, but he was wrong. When the water stopped flowing, Ash realized that the robot was still standing. "Don't be foolish young twerp!" Jessie laughed. "Did you really think we were going to build a robot that is easily destroyed by WATER?!" James laughed back.

Pikachu however wasn't having any of that and it began to release sparks from its cheeks. "Pikaaaaa... CHU!" It squeaked loudly before releasing an electric blast at the robot. Now Team Rocket are a little smarter then they seem. Scratch that they're a little DUMBER then what they seem but, they do learn lessons. They coated the robot with non-conductive paint, so that Pikachu's Electric attacks will have no effect on it.

However, Frogadier's Water Pulse not only smeared some of the paint off of the robot, but it also filled the robot's outer shell with water, making it so electricity will flow easier through it so, Pikachu's electric attack did hit. Jessie and James were then shocked (figuratively and literally), but unfortunately, so was Nate. "Sorry Nate..." Ash said while scratching the back of his head. "Well... believe it or not, this wasn't the first time I was poured and shocked..." he chuckled.

Meanwhile with Serena...

Serena was running around looking for the Fennekin that escaped her grasp. "Fennekin! Fennekin!" She called out for the Fennekin that nearly slipped away from her. "Okay Eevee! I choose you!" She called out for her first Pokemon, who came out of the Pokeball. "EEVEE!" It cried out. "Ok Eevee, I need you to use Quick Attack to help me look for Fennekin. Is that okay?" She asked with a playful tone before winking at her Eevee.

"Ee VEE!" It squealed before turning over and becoming surrounded by a bluish-white aura and running over deeper into the woods and quickly looking for Fennekin. Serena ran as fast as she could after Eevee, trying to spot the Pokemon she wished to catch. Eevee then called out for its Trainer, implying that it found something. Serena then rushed over to where Eevee was and saw that Eevee has found the Fennekin that she was after.

After getting it in her head that Fennekin thought that they were playing 'hide and seek' Serena pulled out an empty Pokeball. 'Here goes nothing...' she thought to herself. "Alright... GO! POKEBALL!" She called out while throwing the Pokeball at Fennekin, sucking it into the ball with a stream of red energy.

The Pokeball then start to shake, with the button in the middle flashing red. Suddenly cyan, yellow and violet sparks, flow out of the Pokeball as the button in the middle of it glowed red for a split second before disappearing with a Thung sound. Capture Successful.

Serena gasped as she smiled from ear to ear. She then ran towards the Pokeball and grabbed it with glee. "ALRIGHT!" She called out with a happy tone. "I JUST CAUGHT A FENNEKIN!" She said while holding the Pokeball with both hands, as her Eevee stands in the 'background' squealing "EEVEE!" With a confident voice.

Serena then released Fennekin from its Pokeball so that it and Eevee could play together and so she could introduce herself. "Hey there Fennekin! I'm Serena!" She introduced herself. "And this is Eevee! I really look forward to be your Trainer!" "Fenn Nekin!" It barked gleefully as Eevee began to chase it (you know, they're playing tag)

Serena giggled at her Pokemon, who were already getting along. If you have told her one week prior to this that she was going to have fun i a Pokemon Journey that she's basically just tagging along and not doing anything in it (for now), she would've called you crazy. Now, she's enjoying life more then she ever thought possible. She gives a twirl before falling down to the ground and just lying there, looking at the sky, appreciating the beauty of nature.

'Ash made me a happy person twice in my life now...' she thought to herself. 'He's such a nice person... and he cares so much about me... he's an awesome battler, and he cares so much about both his friends and his Pokemon... and he would never even Dream of hurting me... even though I have... maybe it's time to let the past go... maybe it's time to... admit he's... cute...'

Suddenly Serena hears an explosion far away from her. 'Was that... THE CAMPSITE?!' Serena thinks to herself, desperate. "ASH!" Serena calls out before running over to it as fast as she can, Eevee and Fennekin following shortly after.

Serena arrives at the campsite and sees Ash and Frogadier battling some sort of giant mech-robot. She gasps, not believing what she's seeing. "FROGADIER! POUND!" Ash commands Frogadier whose hands began to glow white. "FROOOO GADIER!" It croaks before jumping towards the robot and slapping and kicking the robot to no avail. (Like Frogadier using Aerial Ace in the Anime)

"Okay I've had enough of this..." Jessie said while picking up her Pokeball. "LET'S GO MIMIKYU!" Jessie threw the Pokeball, revealing the previously used Ghost/Fairy type Pokemon with insane hatered for Pikachu. "MIMIKYU! USE SHADOW BALL!" Jessie commanded. Mimikyu formed a red, purple and black ball of shadow-y energy near its tail and shot it forward. However it didn't shoot the Shadow Ball at Frogadier, but at Pikachu.

Pikachu couldn't move but it was able to shoot an electric blast from its tail, destroying the Shadow Ball. Ash's, Serena's, Jessie's, James', Meowth's, Nate's and Serena's face went blank, all of them being extremely confused because Mimikyu attacked the Pokemon that wasn't their trouble.

Serena then had enough and walked out of the shadows throwing her Pokeball. "LET'S DO IT FENNEKIN!" She proclaimed while releasing her newest addition top her team. "FEN!" It barked. Ash turned around to see Serena standing there, and a huge smile formed on his face. "YOU CAUGHT IT! GOOD JOB!" He congratulated. "Pi Pikachu!" Despite being held by the robot's giant hand Pikachu still took the time to congratulate Serena on her new capture.

James then helps out Jessie by throwing his Pokeball. "O-kay Inkay! Join the fray!" He said while releasing his squid-like Psychic Pokemon. "INKAY USE PLUCK!" James commanded. Inkay's beak then started to glow white as it charged forward and pecked Frogadier, sending it flying backwards. "OK FENNEKIN USE PSYBEAM!" Serena commanded. Fennekin then fired a magenta beam of energy with multicolored particles from its mouth.

The Psybeam attack hits Inkay directly, causing a huge explosion of dust. However, when the dust settled, Inkay seemes to be completely unphazed. "WHAT?!" Serena seemed completely surprised by what just happened. "WHY DIDN'T IT HAVE ANY EFFECT?!" Jessie and James looked at her as if she was an idiot. "Don't look at her like that!" Ash barrates them and looks over at Serena. "You didn't go to school so you don't know that, Pokemon Types all match up together in different ways..." he explains to her. "And in this case Inkay, who's a Dark Type, is completely immune to Psybeam, a Psychic Type attack..."

Serena understands what's going on and decides to be pruductive with her new Pokemon. "Thanks for telling me Ash..." she thanks Ash. "NOW FENNEKIN USE FLAMETHROWER!" She commanded. Fennekin then releases a red-orange stream of fire from its mouth at Inkay. Inkay looked shocked, before being hit by Fennekin's Flamethrower. Inkay got flung backwards into the robot and gets knocked out. "NICE JOB SERENA!" Ash congratulated her on a job well done.

"NOW FROGADIER! USE LICK!" Ash commanded Frogadier, who opened its mouth, releasing its long tounge, before licking Mimikyu with extreme force, knocking it out too. Jessie and James stood there in disbelief, not believing that they've been defeated by two kids. "Now Serena, let's finish this off 'k?" Serena looks over at Ash, only to see his signiture confident smile. Said smile gives her new-found confidence.

Serena nods. "RIGHT!" She turns her attention over to Fennekin. "FENNEKIN! USE FLAMETHROWER!" "AND FROGADIER USE BUBBLE!" The two commanded, cauysing their respected Pokemon to nod and turn their attention over to the battle with Team Rocket. Fennekin then shot out a blazing stream of fire from its mouth, while Frogadier shot a bubbly foam from its mouth. Instead of putting out the flames, the foam instead combined with the Flamethrower to create a flaming foam of fire-bubbles.

Sid flaming foam then hits the Team Rocket bot head-on. Causing a huge explosion. "WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They all yell as the sore higher and higher until they dissapear, leaving only a sparkle in their place. Pikachu and Nate fall down to the ground and other then some dirt (and in Nate's case some electrical damage), the two are perfectly fine.

Nate then takes a look at his Xtransceiver because he heard it beeping. "MY ARCEUS!" He called out. "THE SHIP LEAVES IN 5 MINUTES! WE NEED TO HURRY!" Ash and Serena gasp before returning Frogadier and Fennekin respectivaly to their Pokeballs. The three (and Pikachu) the head over to the edge of the forest, showing their tickets to the ship captain.

"Ah! You three made it just in time!" The captain told them. "We were just about to set sail! Come on!" He hurried them to take their place before activating the ships engines and setting sail. Ash and Serena head over to the docks area.

Once the two are out there, Ash looks over to the horizion, spreads his arms apart, takes a deep breath and exclaims loudly. "ALRIGHT! NEXT STOP. VIRBANK CITY! AND ONE STEP CLOSER FOR ME TO BECOME A POKEMON MASTER!" "PIKAA!"

I'm sorry it took me so long to update since the last time I posted... I had an embarrassing situation I had to deal with and I couldn't write for a few days. I'll leave what it was to your imagination.

Our heroes arrive at Virbank City, sight of Ash's second Gym Battle challenge. Once they enter the Gym, they're surprised to find that the Gym Leader is the lead singer in a rock n' roll band, other then being a Gym Leader.

Ash wanted to challenge Roxie, the Gym Leader, instead of Lenora (who was a Gym Leader from a City they've already visited) because his friend Sawyer is a big fan of Roxie and would never shut up about how strong she is.

Will Ash be able to receive his second Gym Badge? How powerful is Roxie anyway, and is her music really THAT good? What unique sort of strategy will Ash use to try to defeat Roxie and will it work?
