Previously in Pokemon Chaos and Order...

Ash and his friends were woken up by the same people who helped Ash and Serena under the desert resort, revealing themselves as immortals thanks to King AZ's Ultimate Weapon.

After reuniting with... ALL of their friends, Ash and the gang decide to split up and attack Lusamine from multiple fronts. They were attacked by an Ultra Beast but were saved by the Legendary Ho-Oh.

"Choose me...?" Ash said, baffled. "For what...?" Ho-Oh looked down at them, surrounded by a rainbow light. "I choose you to be my vessel in this world..." it answered. "The Rainbow Hero..."

"The Rainbow Hero...?" Ash murmured. Ho-Oh then landed in front of Ash. "I've been watching you for a long time..." it said. "You have conquered Legends, become one with your Pokemon, an incorruptible and pure heart and walked among the dead..." "Wait a minute!" Red said. "I heard this before..."

Red then snapped his fingers in realisation. "I remember!" He said. "I read about this in the Viridian City Library. The Legend of Ho-Oh and the Legendary Beasts!" "He's right!" Leaf replied. The two of them then began to tell the story:

In Ecruteak City in the Johto Region, there were two towers built as a symbol of the love and friendship between humans and Pokemon.

One day, 150 years ago, lightning struck the west tower burning it to the ground. A lot of people and Pokemon got stuck inside the tower, but none of the perished. That's because of 3 nameless Pokemon, who sacrificed their lives to save as many people and Pokemon as they could.

The fire that scorched the tower was put out thanks to a downpour that began, but the three Pokemon had already perished. Watching these events unfold, Ho-Oh flew down from the heavens.

Because of their heroic sacrifice, Ho-Oh revived the three Pokemon and gave them incredible powers representative of their demise.

Raikou, the Thunder Pokemon, is the lightning which struck the tower. Entei, the Volcano Pokemon, is the fire that burned the tower. And finally Suicune, the Aurora Pokemon, is the rain that put out the fire.

The people of Ecruteak City however, feared the new power they've gotten. Unwilling to harm anyone, the three fled the city with Ho-Oh, and were never seen again.

It is said that one day, when a great crisis emerges, Ho-Oh and the three Legendary Beasts will re-emerge under the guidance of a hero. A hero who conquered Legends, became one with their Pokemon, has an incorruptible and pure heart, and has walked amongst the dead.

"I'm a hero from a legend?!" Ash said in a surprised tone, still not believing his ears. Ho-Oh nodded. "Show me your wrist..." it said and Ash listened. Ho-Oh then placed its beak on Ash's Z-Power Ring. The Z-Power Ring then started to release sparks from it and glowing.

"What's going on...?" Ash murmured. Ho-Oh then flew backwards. "My power now crosses through your veins..." it said. "My power will allow you to break through the dimensional barrier and arrive at the Ultra Beasts' hideout!" "YES! THANK YOU HO-OH!" Ash exclaimed.

"Not only that..." Ho-Oh said. "When facing your ultimate challenge of saving the one you love, your power will increase a thousand-fold..." it continued. "Farewell..." it finished before flying away, leaving a single rainbow-colored feather behind.

Ash picks up the feather and examines it closely. His eyes widen in realization. He then starts digging inside his jacket and pulls out an identical feather. "Oh... my... Arceus..." Ash murmured as he remembered something.

One year ago...

Ash was cradling an injured Pikachu and Froakie in his arms and running away from an angry flock of Spearow.

"LEAVE US ALONE!" Ash cried out to the Spearow, but none of them listened as they continued to Peck at Ash and the two injured Pokemon. Because he was giving so much attention to protecting Pikachu and Froakie, he tripped over a rock and fell to the ground, dropping the two.

Froakie and Pikachu tried to get up but were unable to. Ash then limped over to the two Pokemon. "Pikachu, Froakie I need you to listen to me... please... no matter what happens... stay here...!" He said in a worried tone, causing the two to look at him, just as worried as Ash.

Ash then walked over to the Spearow and stands between the two and the flock of Spearow. He then turned his cap around and spread his arms apart.

"Alright!" Ash exclaimed. "I don't think you know who you're dealing with! But I'm Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town! And I'm gonna be the world's greatest Pokemon Master! Mess with me and you're gonna lose!"

The Spearow then charged at Ash with their Peck attacks. "HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT!" He cried out. Pikachu's and Froakie's eyes widened in horror. The two ran up yo Ash and jumped between him and the Spearow. A flash of lightning came down on them, which caused them to fire Thunder Shock and Bubble at the Spearow, creating a huge explosion.

When the dust cleared, Ash was lying on the ground with Pikachu and Froakie lying next to him. "You... you did this for me...?" He asked in shock. Pikachu and Froakie lowered their heads. Ash then hugged the two, surprising them.

"You're the best friends I could ask for!" Ash said, causing the two to hug Ash back. The three then suddenly heard a loud squawk. They then looked up and saw Ho-Oh flying by. A rainbow-colored feather then fell down into Ash's hands.

Ash looked down, trying to hold back his tears. "You love her?" Kevin asked. Ash sighed and turned around to face his small team and his Pokemon. "Yes!" Ash exclaimed. "I love her! She's the light if my life and I would happily give up my position as Champion to be with her!"

"That won't be necessary..." a voice came from behind Ash. They all turned around and saw Alain and Mairin. "We're helping you get her back!" Mairin said. "The more the merrier, I always say..." Ash said while giving a small smile.

Suddenly, Nebby's forehead started to glow in the same style as Ash's Z-Power Ring. A Z-Crystal then forms inside its forehead before blasting towards Ash, who catches it, smoke coming out of it.

The crystal was diamond-shaped, with two smaller diamonds on the sides, and it was orange in color. On the center was etched the image of a sun.

"Is that a Z-Crystal?" Ash asks. "I think it is..." Kevin said. "It might be a Z-Crystal that activates Solgaleo's Z-Move!" Lillie added. "This Z-Move might be strong enough to break the dimensional barrier! Just like Ho-Oh said!" Red said.

"It's worth a try..." Ash said. "At this point, if it'll save Serena, I'm willing to do anything..." Ash, Lillie, Kevin, Gladion, Grace, Red, Leaf, Alain and Mairin quickly got up on Nebby's back.

"Here goes..." Ash said as he slapped the Z-Crystal on his Z-Power Ring. "LET'S SAVE SERENA!" He exclaimed before crossing his arms together in the shape of an 'X', causing the crystal to glow and the same orange-brown from before to surround him. He then spread his arms to the sides of his body, moving them in a semi-circle formation. He then brought his arms forward, one on top of the other.

He then slammed his fists together twice, before bringing his fists forward.

The light that surrounded Ash then went over to Solgaleo, surrounding it and making the same 'Z'-like shape to appear before him. "LET'S SHOW LUSAMINE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH THE GIRL I LOVE!" Ash exclaimed.

Solgaleo then roars powerfully as its appearance changes. A third eyeappears on its forehead-a light blue symbol similar to a compass rose-and the starscape turns to streaks of light. The fur on its body glows a pale yellow and all other parts of its body except its nose turn bright yellow.

"SEARING! SUNRAZE! SMASH!" Ash exclaimed powerfully. Solgaleo then opens an Ultra Wormhole of its own. "IT WORKED! HOLD ON EVERYONE!" Ash cried out before Solgaleo blasted itself and the riders on its back through the Ultra Wormhole, leaving a bright-yellow streak of light behind it, before the Ultra Wormhole closed.

Meanwhile...

"SHARPEDO! AQUA JET!" A person commanded his Pokemon. It was a torpedo-shaped shark Pokemon covered with tiny, sharp denticles. It has a large mouth filled with triangular, sharp teeth. Its eyes are a deep red color and glow in the dark. It has two gill slits situated directly behind each eye. It is mostly dark blue with a white underbelly. There is a yellow star-shaped marking on its snout, and another star marking on its rear. It has a tall dorsal fin with two notches cut into it, with a pelvic fin directly opposite it. Its two pectoral fins are arranged so that they resemble the fins on the back of a torpedo.

Sharpedo's body then becomes surrounded by a water veil. "TALONFLAME! ME FIRST!" James commanded Ash's Talonflame. Before Sharpedo could rush into Talonflame, Talonflame's body flashed sky-blue and it flew into the air and a wave of water appears from the bottom of its body and completely covers it. Talonflame then shoots itself at the Sharpedi like a rocket and slams into it and knocks it out.

"NO! SHARPEDO!" The man cried out. The man had a black beard was wearing blue, pirate attire with a blue bandana on his head.

"ERUPTION, CAMERUPT!" Another man commanded his Pokemon. The man had red hair and glasses, and was wearing a red business suit.

His Pokemon was a quadruped Pokemon that resembles a Bactrian camel. It has two gray volcanoes on its back. It also has a stout body with red shaggy fur and three blue ring-shaped markings on both sides. It has bangs on top of its head, droopy ears, and a tan furless muzzle.

Camerupt ignites the lava inside its volcanos, and fire spews out of them. It then fires a geyser of red-orange fire from the flame on its head at Talonflame. "WOBBUFET! MIRROR COAT!" Jessie commanded.

Wobbuffet's body becomes surrounded in a rainbow reflective color and it takes Camerupt's Eruption attack before blasting an Eruption attack of its own at Camerupt, knocking it out.

"Firing Eruption at a Fire Pokemon?! What is wrong with you Maxie?!" The pirate shouted. "ME?! You're just mindlessly attacking with out strategy! You're the problem, Archie!" The businessman said. "I think you need to go to sleep!" Meowth pounced at the two.

"FURY SWIPES!" It exclaimed. Meowth's claws glow white and grow bigger. Meowth then repeatedly slashed Archie with its claws, leaving white streaks behind the claws. When Archie blacked out, Meowth moved over to Maxie, and knocked him out as well.

"Great job old chum!" James congratulated Meowth. "Thanks bud..." Meowth replied. Meowth was suddenly hit by a pink, gemstone-like beam of light which blasted it backwards. "Well well, look at the little renegades here..." a voice spoke as a man stepped out of the shadows.

The figure was a man with black hair and eyes. He was wearing a black business suit. On the left breast pocket is an upside down, grey pentagon with a red 'R' in the middle.

"I was wondering when you were going to show your ugly face 'Boss'!" Jessie said with a venomous tone. "If we didn't make it clear, we're quitting!" James added to Jessie's statement. The man grinned evily. "I was going to fire you anyways..." he said while pulling out a Pokeball.

"Now I heard you were hanging out with my daughter..." he continued as he threw the Pokeball, releasing a Rhydon. "YOU LEAVE LEAF OUT OF THIS, GIOVANNI!" Meowth hissed at him. The gold coin on its head started to glow orange-gold. Meowth then fires a stream of glowing golden coins from the coin on its forehead, like a Machine Gun.

"PAY DADADADADADADADAYYYYYYY!" Meowth hissed as the coins hit Rhydon, making it lose its footing a bit.

Meanwhile...

We cut to a dark place with black and purple skies with red and blue clouds hovering around. Giant islands of dark blue rock with rock formations are also just hovering around. Ultra Beast were flying around, without a care in the world.

On top of one of the islands, an Ultra Wormhole opens up. Suddenly, Solgaleo and the people riding on top of it appear out of it and lands on one of the islands, causing all of the people riding on top of it to get flung out of it and fall down on the ground.

"Well... that was a bumpy ride, but we're here..." Ash said as he stood up and shook the dirt off of his clothes. "Are you sure we're in the right place...?" Alain asked while helping Mairin up.

Suddenly, an Ultra Beast came out of nowhere, flying around and landing on the island. It was a large, humanoid UB that is mainly green, with a bodily construction that closely resembles that of a bamboo shoot. It has a horn, that resembles a drill bit that appears to be atop of a structure that is similar to a hat with two small green spots. There is another structure that stems from the "hat" that resembles hair. The lower half of its head is small, with a tiny mouth. Its long neck is divided into three segments; each one of the segments resembles a long, individual neck. Its lower body consists of a structure that is similar to a dress colored in different shades of green. Below the dress, there is what appears to be bamboo stalks. Its huge, disembodied arms resemble stalks of bamboo, with similar projections surrounding a larger opening.

"Pretty sure..." Ash replied with a smug tone before readying his battle stance. "VOLT TACKLE!" Ash commanded, causing Pikachu to hop off of his shoulder.

Pikachu becomes outlined in blue and then starts to charge at the Ultra Beast, moving so fast that it seems to leave behind two afterimages. While charging at the UB, Pikachu's body becomes surrounded by an aura of orange and yellow electricity, causing its body to appear black and white. Pikachu then tackles the UB in the chest, causing it to be sent flying.

The UB came crashing down to a different island, smashing rocks and creating a huge crater. The UB was knocked unconscious. "Way to go buddy!" Ash praised Pikachu as it jumped over to Ash, the two of them hugging.

Solgaleo then turned around around, and saw a Xurkitree sneaking up on them. Xurkitree's "wire-arms" glow green and purple. Solgaleo then jumps high in the air and becomes surrounded by a sun-like formation (similar to Amber's Roserade's Weather Ball).

Solgaleo then changed into its Radiant Sun Phase (the same appearance it took while using its Z-Move) and charged towards Xurkitree, slamming into it with incredible force and sending Xurkitree flying backwards.

"Was that Sunsteel Strike?" Kevin asked while putting his hands on Lillie's shoulders. Lillie smiled and put her hands on top of Kevin's hands. "Yes!" She answered excitedly. "Our little Nebby's growing up so fast..." she said while shedding a tear. (😂)

Then, another UB comes phasing from under the ground, like a Ghost. It had a humanoid figure with a slender torso and wide hips. Its legs are white with balls on the front, a pink one on the left leg and a blue one on the right leg. Its feet are shaped as if it is wearing high-heeled boots with pointed tips. The main body is yellow with alternating pink and blue stripes. It has a white ball on its chest and one as a tail. Its right arm is pink and its left arm is blue. Its hands are white and have frills on the wrists. A larger frill is around its neck.

"What's that?!" Leaf cried as she stepped behind Red and squeezed his arm for comfort, causing him to blush. The UB was standing close to Kevin and Lillie, causing Kevin to hold her close to him. The UB then brings its arms towards Lillie and Kevin.

"MEGA PUNCH!" "DOUBLE HIT!" Red and Gladion commanded. Charizard's fist becomes surrounded by transparent, bluish energy. Its fist then glowed light blue. Simultaneously, both of Silvally's claws glow purple and it sticks its claws out in front of it. It then charges into the UB claw-first.

Charizard and Silvally then attack the UB, which takes no damage, but becomes surprised. "Ash! Serena needs you!" Alain said before drawing a Pokeball. "We can handle this bro! Now go!" Red continued.

Ash nodded without hesitation. Pikachu hopped on Ash's shoulder. "Nebby! Go with him!" Lillie said, causing Nebby to hop over to Ash. "Thanks, Solgaleo..." Ash said before hopping on Nebby's back. "Let's save Serena! Yeep yeep!" He said, causing Nebby to start to hop around.

After some minutes of searching, Ash hears a very familiar scream. "SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!" It was Serena. And Ash could hear pain in her voice. "Hold on, Serena!" Ash whispers to himself. "Can you get us up there faster?" Ash asked and Nebby nodded.

Nebby's and Ash's bodies glow multicolored and wlso become surrounded in light blue vertical lines. They then disappear, reappearing at the place Ash heard Serena's scream. Ash then saw Serena being tied up by Nihilego's tentacles. Its tentacles were glowing purple and shooting purple energy at Serena's body.

She was screaming in pain and begging for it to stop. "LEAVE HER ALONE YOU WITCH!" Ash shouts at Lusamine, who was standing next to them. Nihilego stopped, causing Serena and Lusamine to look at Ash. "A... Ash...?" Serena said weakly.

Once her vision cleared, she saw that it was indeed Ash. Her face became full of hope and tears of joy started to stream down her face. Lusamine however seemed shocked. "How the Reverse World did you get here?!" She asked angrily.

"That's none of your business!" Ash answered angrily. "Now let her go!" Lusamine grinned and turned to Nihilego. "I think we should show him his own power..." she said. Nihilego nodded and its body started to glow purple.

Serena's eyes widened in terror. "ASH! WHATEVER HAPPENS TO ME, WHATEVER I DO OR SAY, PROMISE ME YOU'LL PUT A STOP TO ME! EVEN IF I GET DESTROYED!" She screamed at him in terror. "REMEMBER ASH! I LOVE YOU!" She screamed before Nihilego put its face on top of Serena's head like a hat. A huge burst of light came out of them.

"SERENA!!!!!!" Ash cried out, tears streaming down his face. When the glow dissipated, it appeared that Serena had fused with Nihilego.

"S... Serena...?" Ash said, hoping she can hear him. Serena then opens her eyes, and they were red and glowing. She then gave out a maniacal grin. "The era of the Ultra Beasts is about to begin!" She said, sounding just like Ash when he lost control of his transformation with Greninja. "You stand in our way, and so you will be destroyed!"

Pam Pam Pam! Hey guys! Infinityalbi10 here! It took me a while to update, because my book temporarily disappeared on my account. Another thing, I said I had 60 Chapters in my book. Well now, I figured that I couldn't find a plot for one of the Chapters, so I reduced the story to 59 Chapters.

Don't worry about the cliffhanger, the next Chapter'll be out either later today or tomorrow. "The Heart of Life and the Flare of Destruction" will be updated less frequently because of this book. Anyways, here's the summary for next Chapter:

While the Gym Leaders, the Rocket Trio, Dawn and Barry are taking care of Team Rainbow Rocket, Nate encounters a battle that's much more personal. The rest of the group is battling the Ultra Beasts either in Vertress City or the Ultra Deep Sea.

Ash however, has to face the girl that he loves, as she's being possessed by Nihilego and is trying to destroy him.

Will Ash be able to save Serena? Will our heroes be able to stop the Ultra Beasts and save the world?
