Previously on Pokemon Chaos and Order...

Ash and Serena began their Pokemon Journey. After Serena got fed up with Ash's loud attitude, she yelled at him and tried to explain some ground rules he has to know with her. Unfortunately her scream scared off Ash's Pikachu and he chased after it, leaving her alone.

After finding Pikachu and catching 2 new Pokemon (a Sewaddle and a Fletchling), Ash realizes that Serena doesn't know how to survive in a Pokemon Journey. He saves her from a Watchog who put her to sleep with Hypnosis and realized that he knows her.

Ash then told her that his goal is to become a Pokemon Master so the two start to head out to Straiton City so Ash can challenge the Gym.

After exiting Route 19 and going all the way to Route 2, our heroes decide to set camp in a beautiful place, known as the 'Dreamyard' seeing as the sun was about to set. Serena however is still feeling uneasy, and her personality towards the Journey has surprisingly stayed the same.

On their way to Striaton City, sight of Ash's first Gym Battle challenge, our heroes decide to stop at a place called the Dreamyard. A peaceful garden filled with trees, bushes, grass and flowers as far as the eye can see.

Ash and Pikachu found a small river flowing, so he decided to take the time and let himself and his Pokemon have some water. "Alright everybody, COME ON OUT!" He called out while throwing three Pokeballs up in the air, releasing his Frogadier, Fletchling and Sewaddle.

"Froga!" "Fletchling! Fletchling Fletch!" "Sewaddle!" the three Pokemon let out their cries as they headed over to the riverside to drink some water.

Meanwhile Ash was filling up two bottles full of water, one for him and one for Serena who was setting up her tent and lighting up a campfire.

After Ash got back to the camp he noticed that Serena looked a bit sad. She looked just like how she looked when he first met her, absolutely miserable. Ash walked up to her and asked her if she was alright. "I'm just tired okay?" She responded coldly, with barely any emotion in her voice.

"You don't seem fine..." Ash responded still worried. "WELL I AM, OKAY?! LEAVE ME ALONE!" She yelled at him, causing him to fall on his back in surprise. "And even if I wasn't why would you care?" She asks whispering, trying to hold back tears. 'It's not like anyone else does...' she thought.

Ash's eyes were filled with sorrow. He walked closer to the girl and kneeled in front of her. "Look Serena, I'm guessing that whatever the reason you're acting like this is personal..." he said in a soothing voice. "And if you don't wanna tell me then that's fine! But just know, if there's anything bothering you, anything AT ALL... I'm here for you 'k?"

Serena's eyes widen, as she suddenly flashes back to a different time. A long time ago in a Region far far away. The only time in her life when she was really happy. She remembered the boy who saved her in Professor Oak's Pokemon Summer Camp. He told her exactly the same.

"If there's anything bothering you, anything AT ALL... I'm here for you 'k?"

Serena had to use all her willpower not to cry. After she returned from the camp, she thought she was never going to see him again. So she did something that she thought he would want her to do... She kept a positive attitude!

She tries her best to make new friends, she even befriended Pokemon she would otherwise be terrified of. For years she kept that attitude, until she had another experience. A bad person did something really bad to her. In her mind, this was so bad that she thought it would make having a happy life for her impossible.

'Where did I go wrong?' She asked herself. Serena looked over at Ash. "Sorry I yelled at you..." she apologized. "You too Pikachu!" She told Ash's partner, who nodded and squeaked, "Pi Ka!" Ash smiled. "It's okay... I see that we're already becoming friends!"

Suddenly a cold breeze swept the two, causing both of them to start shaking. "Well it's getting late anyways..." Ash says while stretching his arm upwards, trying to relax his muscles. "I'm going to sleep..." he yawned. "Good night..." "Good night Ash..." Serena replied, starting to feel sleepy herself.

Little do our heroes know, they're being watched. In the shadows, just barely illuminated by the moonlight, stand three figures. One male, one female, and another one that looks like a feline Pokemon.

"So... Are you sure she doesn't have any Pokemon?" Asked the female. "Unless she caught something on the few days of her journey, then yes. I'm sure..." the male responded. "And I've recently battled Ash..." he continues. "He relies on friendship and compassion to get his Pokemon to do impressive feats. But because of that, they're weak!"

"Operation 'make 'em ours' is about to begin!" One of them proclaimed quietly, while the other pulled out a Pokeball, and called out for their Pokémon.

It was a jellyfish-like Pokémon resembling young royalty. It has a round head with a crown-like tuft, and five tentacle-like appendages. It has oval eyes with white pupils, and a collar around its neck. It is blue, with smooth appendages and a triangular crown. It has red eyes with blue sclera and astraight eyelash on each eye, its collar is wavy, and it appears to be frowning.

"Frillish!" It let out it's cry as it waited for it's Trainer's orders. "Get close to Serena and use Hex!" It's Trainer commanded. Frillish then quietly hovered over to the location of Ash and Serena's campsite.

Using its Cursed Body Ability, Frillish was able to pass through the wall of Serena's tent (because the tent wall would make physical contact with Frillish and Cursed Body can disable direct contact), and it saw that she was already asleep.

"Fri... Llish..." it started to chant in an eerie way, as its eyes glew red and purple, creating a wave of black energy, that hit the sleeping Serena, causing her colors to appear in the negative.

Like this...

Serena's peaceful smile suddenly vanished from her face as she began to feel uneasy in her sleep. She began to slightly whimper and moan, and restlessly turn from side-to-side in her sleeping bag.

Frillish got out of the tent and returned to its Trainer, who returned it into its Pokeball. "With a Frillish like mine who needs the move 'Nightmare'?" Frillish's Trainer asked sarcastically, as the people who were watching Ash and Serena walk away.

Back with Serena, since she was asleep, Frillish's Hex attack is doing a lot to her mind, causing her dream to twist into a horrifying nightmare, and make it hyper-realistic, so she can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy.

Serena wakes up to find herself in pitch black darkness. Even though she has absolutely no idea where she is, the atmosphere feels oddly familiar. As her eyes adjust to the darkness she sees that she is in a wooden cabin.

Serena walks over to the cabin's broken window, to see that she's in Professor Oak's Pokemon Summer Camp! But something's wrong... she can see in the cabin's alarm clock that it's 12:35 PM, and she sees the sun up in the sky. And yet... It's all dark.

She sees that the sky is dark blue and purple, and that the clouds are black. She tries to find a way out and first tries the door. She figured that even if the door was locked, she could easily kick it open. She was wrong...

She pulled at the door with all her might. It wouldn't budge. She tried to kick the lock off, as hard as she could. It wouldn't budge. She then realised that the door is being glued shut and reinforced by some sort of puffy substance.

She thought it looked strangely familiar. And that's when it hit her. She saw it on Ash's Frogadier the other day. 'Did... Did Ash lock me up here?' She thought. 'No! There's no way!' Her eyes started to tear up.

Suddenly she hears a creak. She looks back to see a flashback to the day she got lost in Viridian Forest. The day she met the boy who saved her, and temporarily changed her life. But she's seeing the moment... on a different angle.

She sees that right before she entered the forest, someone told her that one of the Camp Masters hid a box of Rare-Candy somewhere in the forest, and suggested that she go and find it. She reluctantly accepted and headed to the forest, only to get lost because there was no box of Rare-Candy anywhere.

Serena (present day) then sees who was the boy who told her to quite literally get lost...

It WAS Ash. Serena then fell to her knees and started to cry. She believed that all of this is true. Something that made her jump though, was a cackling sound. It sounded like a boy. She jumped up and turned to the direction of the sound, to see... Ash.

"So you figured it out..." he said in a voice not his own. Serena was at a lost for words. The only word that she thought to say was, "W... wh... why...?" She asked, her face wet with tears.

"Why?" Ash chuckled. "Because you're mine! You always were and you always will be! I am the King of Pokelantis reincarnated! And you're my bride!" Ash started to laugh like a maniac.

Serena tried to run, only to be stopped by Ash's Pikachu, who also didn't look like itself.

It blocked her path, and threatened to electrocute her if she takes one more step towards it. "Come now my queen!" Ash commanded. Serena, now balling her eyes out, ran to her left, since there were no things stopping her from going there.

That is until she heard Ash's not-his-own voice say. "USE THUNDER!" Pikachu then shot out a blast of red and black electricity at Serena, hitting her directly. She felt every muscle in her body stiffen and all her pain nerves emit a signal at once. The pain was indescribable.

Serena suddenly started to scream inside her tent, causing wild Flying Type Pokemon to fly away scared. Ash was immediately shook awake, and him and Pikachu jumped out of their tent and run towards Serena's.

Ash zipped the tent open all the while saying, "SERENA! WHAT'S WRONG? WHAT HAPPENED...?!" Before Ash could finish his last question, Serena, still screaming, accidentally tackled Ash to the ground as she was trying to run away.

Ash barely took a second to look at his wounds before going over to Serena, still not touching her, and asking, "Are you okay?" "GET AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed as she shoved Ash to the ground and ran away.

Ash didn't even hesitate before calling Pikachu and running off after Serena. Serena ran off with all her strength towards the thick forest that was near the Dreamyard.

She might've no idea where she's going but running away from something you think will kill you if you slow down, having a lot of Adrenaline in your system and running towards an area filled with trees for cover can give a hider a big advantage over a seeker.

Lucky for Ash he had one advantage, his Pokemon! "Alright everybody I CHOOSE YOU!" He called out while throwing three Pokeballs forward, releasing his three Pokemon (other then Pikachu) once again.

Ash knew he couldn't catch up with Serena, so he quickly came up with a plan. "Alright Fletchling, fly into the forest and try to see if you can find her!" Ash commanded. "Fletch Ling!" Fletchling chirped and headed towards the forest.

"Sewaddle I'm gonna need you to use your 360° vision to try and see where she is!" Ash commanded his Sewaddle, who cried its cry before leading the way, Ash, Pikachu and Frogadier staying behind.

"Pikachu and Frogadier, you two stay with me!" Ash said. "Frogadier, I'm gonna need you to leave a trail of your Frubbles so we can find our way out of the forest!" "Froga!" Frogadier croaked before jumping to a nearby branch and throwing one of its Frubbles down towards the ground.

"Pikachu..." Ash turned his attention towards his partner, "I need you to give us some light! So use Iron Tail!" He commanded. "Pika! Pika Chua... Pika!" Pikachu squeaked before causing its tail to glow blue. After the glow dissapated, Pikachu's tail has transformed into a shiny silver metal (very reflective indeed...)

Meanwhile with Serena...

Serena, still terrified by her dream, is running aimlessly through the dark woods. Scared, alone and out of breath, she finally huddles up in a fetal position near a tree, and lets loose all the tears she was holding back.

Little does she know, there's a little bird Pokemon flapping its wings a few inches from her face. Fletchling then flies back to Ash, ready to alert him of Serena's location. Ash, Pikachu, Sewaddle and Frogadier are still a bit behind, trying to find a person-sized needle in a forest-sized haystack.

"Fletchling! Fletchling Fletch!" The 4 suddenly heard Fletchling's chirps, and soon after they saw the little bird Pokemon. "Hey Fletchling! Any luck?" Ash asked. "Fletch!" Fletchling chirped while nodding its head.

A sigh of relief then escaped Ash's mouth. "Okay then Fletchling, lead the way!" He called out. "Fletchliiiiiiing!" Fletchling chirped as it led Ash and his Pokemon to the direction of the traumatized girl.

Serena is still lying next to the same tree as before, still crying. She felt as if she would be unable to move for the rest of her life. That is... until she heard her name being called by an all too familiar voice. "SERENA!!!!"

Serena then covered her mouth to prevent Ash from hearing her breathing. Now this technique would be effective when you're trying to hide from someone... that is, if they don't have a Pokemon that is as stealthy, fast and perceptive as a ninja.

Frogadier quickly figured out where Serena was hiding and swiftly told Ash. Ash comes closer to Serena and starts to ask if she's okay.

Serena however just backs away, still crying. "W... Why.... c... ca... can... can't... y... you... ju... just... lea... leave... WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE YOU MONSTER!?" She tried to roar at the clueless Ash before running away in tears.

Ash starts to run after her. "SERENA WAIT!" He keeps calling out to her. "I JUST WANT TO HELP! I'M NOT GOING TO HURT YOU!" "LIAR!!!!!" She cried back. Before Ash could call out to her one more time, he noticed that she's heading to a cliff.

Ash gasps. "SERENA YOU HAVE TO STOP!!!" He screamed before starting to run faster. Serena however doesn't listen, and just speeds up herself. Serena keeps running until she slips on a rock, right next to the cliff, causing her to fall.

"SERENAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" Ash cried out, while starting to cry himself. He quickly grabs onto Serena's wrist with his right hand, and grabs a steady branch of a nearby tree with his left.

Imagine Clemont is the branch...

Serena gasped, trying to steady her heartbeat and breathing. "HANG IN THERE SERENA!" Ash tells her, causing to turn her head over to him and start to cry again.

"Serena... what's wrong?" "YOU!" Serena screamed at him. "IT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU TO HURT ME, NOW YOU WANT TO KEEP ME ALIVE TO HURT ME MORE?!"

Ash's eyes widened, both in pain and in confusion. "Serena... What are you talking about? I've never hurt you!" Ash tried to explain, but Serena was having none of that. "STOP YOUR LIES! I DON'T WANNA HEAR ANY OF IT!"

Ash's face then went from worried to serious. "Well then... you might not like it... me touching your wrist might be in the 'Five No's'... BUT I'M STILL NOT GONNA LET YOU GO!" "WHY?!?!?!" Serena cried, her face wet with tears. "Because if I do, you're gonna fall! And I'm not gonna let MY FRIEND fall to her destruction!"

Serena's tears stopped flowing as soon as she heard him call her a friend. 'No one's ever called me that...' she thought. 'No one cared enough to do...' Ash interrupted her thoughts. "Serena! I'm gonna try to pull you up! But to do this I'm gonna need you to trust me!" He said. "I know it's a lot to ask from you, but are you willing to trust me just this once?"

Serena looked back at Ash, then with a serious look on her face, she nodded her head. Ash then nodded back and began to work. "Okay Sewaddle!" Ash turned over to Sewaddle. "I'm gonna need you to use String Shot on the cliff floor!"

Sewaddle nods and then shoots a thick thread of purple silk at the bottom of the cliff, creating a net of sorts. Serena hesitantly asked, "What's this for?" "This is for a 'just in case' situation!" Ash answers. "But don't worry! I'm sure we won't need it!"

"Now Frogadier, you use Lick!" Ash commanded. Frogadier nodded and extended its tongue, wrapping it around Serena's and Ash's hands. "I know it's gross but it's necessary!" Ash tried to comfort Serena. "It's okay!" Serena ensured, "I was never disgusted by being licked..."

Ash then raised her an eyebrown. "Wha...?" He asked. Serena then realised her vagueness. "My mom's Rhyhorn!" She cried back. "Admittedly that was a bit vague so I can't blame you..."

Ash chuckled nervously, but then returned to his serious look. "Fletchling!" Ash now turned his attention to Fletchling. "I need you and Pikachu to help me pull!" The two nod before springing into action. Pikachu holding on to Ash's pants and Fletchling digging its talons to Ash's collar.

"Okay everyone... PULL!" Ash commanded as they all start to pull. Sewaddle then shoots another string of purple silk, wrapping it around Serena's waist, helping the team to pull.

Fletchling was the one that was struggling the most, starting to get tired and falling down. Suddenly, Fletchling's body starts to glow blue. Fletchling then starts to pull Ash's collar faster and faster. 'Whoa! Fletchling just learned ACROBATICS! AWESOME!' Ash thought in realization.

With all the help from his Pokemon, Ash was finally able to pull up the messy pile of nerves that is Serena. Ash then started to comfort Serena. "It's okay Serena... you're safe..." Ash is cut off by Serena wrapping her arms around his shoulders and pulling him into a hug.

Ash, not expecting the hug, starts to blush. After a couple of seconds Ash returns the hug. Surprisingly, Serena wasn't crying nor scared, she was smiling. She finally realized that she can open up to someone.

After a while, Ash and Serena separate. "I think we should go back to the campsite 'k? It's late..." Ash said while leading Serena and his Pokemon back to their campsite. This makes something in Serena's mind click. She starts to think that she has maybe seen Ash in the past.

'Is... is Ash the boy who saved me all these years ago?' Serena thought to herself, as they walk back to the Dreamyard and to their tents.

Hey guys! Infinityalbi10 here! This Chapter might've been a little different and it has a few Space/Time errors (like exiting Route 19 and entering Route 1), but I think it's good. I still hope you liked the read and I hope to keep you guessing as to who is after Ash and Serena, because it's not that obvious ;). Here's the next Chapter's Summary:

After battling Cilan's Grass type Pokemon, and receiving his first Gym Badge, him and Serena are suddenly attacked by a mysterious group with a talking Meowth.

Will Ash and Serena be able to overcome the new challenge of the criminal organization that is now after them? What is the mysterious Team Rocket even planning? Will Ash's Pokemon be enough to defeat them after an intense Gym Battle?
