Previously in Pokemon Chaos and Order...

A teenage girl named Serena moved to Unova from her original home in Kalos. One day her mother persuades her to start her Pokemon Journey, even though she didn't study for it at all.

After multiple failed escape attempts, Serena accepts her fate and decides to go along. Her mind might be really close to changing though, since she has to travel with a hyperenergetic boy called Ash and Serena hates boys...

Ash and Serena started to walk out of Asperita City, their sights set on Route 19. All the while they were walking, Serena didn't speak a word and didn't change her facial expression.

They walk for what seem like hours in Serena's mind, though it was probably just 10 to 15 minutes, until they finally arrive on Route 19.

"ALRIGHT!" Ash excitedly screamed. "NOW OUR JOURNEY HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!" Serena's face was now filled with frustration. She turned to face him with fire in her eyes.

"NOW LISTEN TO ME MR. OPTIMIST!" She roared to Ash's surprised. "I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S YOUR DEAL BUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO MAKE ME ANGRY YOU GOTTA LISTEN TO EVERY WORD I SAY!"

Ash, surprised and kinda taken aback, stands still and stiffens his muscles. His Pikachu though, wasn't having any of it. Pikachu's eyes start to fill with tears, and it starts to run away crying.

"PIKACHU!" Ash calls out to his partner. "Oh relax you coward!" Serena says in a monotone voice. "It's a Pokemon, so it can probably survive on its own... NOW LISTEN UP!" She says closing her eyes and pointing her finger upwards.

"I call these rules 'The 5 No's'... Number 1. Don't look at me without asking first! Number 2. Don't talk to me if I don't address you first! Number 3. If you dare to touch me, I will... Do something bad to you! Number 4. We sleep on separate tents! And most importantly, Number 5. DO NOT TRY TO FLIRT WITH ME OR TRY TO DO ANYTHING LOVEY-PIDOVEY! IS ALL THAT CLEAR..." Serena stops talking as she opens her eyes, to see that Ash isn't there.

Serena starts to burn up in anger. She's about to scream out, but is cut off by a rustling sound.

Meanwhile with Ash...

Ash is running around Route 19, calling out for his partner. "PIKACHU!" he cried out multiple times, hoping to get a response, but to no avail. 'What is up with that Serena girl?' He asks himself. 'Not only does she scare off my Pikachu, but she also doesn't care about where it could be? Man! What is wrong with her?!'

His thoughts are interrupted by a squeaking sound. "PIKAA CHU!" Ash's eyes widen, as he starts to run in the direction of the sound. After a minute or two he finds his Pikachu. Pikachu is being scared by two Pokemon.

One of them is a familiar face, a Fletchling. The other Pokemon is a caterpillar-like Pokemon with a broad, bitten leaf enfolding its head like a hood. Its large, spherical head is an orange-yellow with two small, close-together knobs on its forehead.

Its eyes are black and circular, and its mouth has a downward-pointing, crescent-shaped orange snout with a sharp tiny tooth at either end. The underside between the snout and its neck is white. Its green body has three segments with a pair of stubby, spherical orange legs on each segment. It's a Sewaddle.

Ash calls out for Pikachu, who suddenly turns around and jumps on Ash's shoulder. The two Pokemon don't seem really hostile, in fact they seem happy that Pikachu's Trainer found it.

"Whoa!" Ash said as he looked at the Pokemon. "I've never seen these Pokemon before..." He murmurs out-loud as he pulls out his Pokedex. As Ash points the Pokedex at Fletchling, a voice comes out of it (It sounds like the X and Y Series Pokedex)

Fletchling, the Tiny Robin Pokemon

Its body is always warm. Trainers who live in cold areas apparently sleep with it in their bed.

'Ok...' Ash thought to himself as he turned the Pokedex over to Sewaddle...

Sewaddle, the Sewing Pokemon

Sewaddle hides from its enemies by covering its head with a hood made from a leaf, and is known to eat its leafy clothing when food is scarce.

"Wow!" Ash said. "I didn't know the Unova Region had such interesting Pokemon!" He happily proclaimed, before noticing that the Fletchling and Sewaddle are both looking at him intently.

Ash suddenly remembers what he learned in one of his first days of the Pokemon Academy, "If a Pokemon looks at you with a determined look, it has chosen you as its new Trainer!"

Ash smiled and adjusted his visor. "I see..." he said. "So you want me to catch you, right?" Fletchling and Sewaddle gave a happy squeal, telling Ash that he's about to catch his first Pokemon, and it's going to be a double whammy!

"Pikachu, can you help me out here?" Ash asked turning to his partner. "Pi...?" Pikachu hesitated for a second, but then finds inside of itself the courage to battle.

Pikachu hops out of Ash's shoulder and readies itself. "Pika Pika!" It squeaked with determination as sparks flew out of its cheeks. "Alright Pikachu, let's start things off with Electric Terrain!" Ash commanded. Pikachu got up on its hind legs, before slamming its paws onto the ground, releasing a powerful yellow electric charge onto the battlefield, surrounding all of them in a bubble of electricity.

Fletchling and Sewaddle aren't intimidated, as they charge up their own moves. Fletchling flexes its wing-muscles, causing its wings to glow white for a split-second, before revealing that they have transformed into a shiny silver metal.

Sewaddle on the other hand, opened its mouth, showing that its teeth are now glowing lime-green. Fletchling used Steel Wing, and Sewaddle used Bug Bite.

Ash however kept his confident smile on his face, as he had a plan. "Now Pikachu! Use Discharge!" He commanded. "Pika Pikapikapikapika... CHU!" Pikachu cried out as it rubbed its paws against its cheeks, causing them to start to glow and release yellow and cyan sparks.

Pikachu's body becomes charged up with electricity, which Pikachu releases all at once, releasing an explosion of electric energy at Fletchling and Sewaddle. Electric Terrain powered up Discharge enough to the point that both of them are ready to be caught.

Ash then turned his cap around (the visor now being in the back of his head) as he pulled out two Pokeballs from his bag. "Now's my chance..." he whispered to himself. "Alright... GO POKEBALLS!" He called out while throwing the two Pokeballs at the two wild Pokemon.

The two get sucked up by a flare of energy and are suddenly absorbed inside the Pokeballs. The Pokeballs then start to shake, with the button in the middle flashing red. With every shake, Ash gets more nervous.

Suddenly cyan, yellow and violet sparks, flow out of the Pokeball as the button in the middle of it glew red for a split second before dissipating with a Thung sound. Capture successful.

Ash gasped. It took a few seconds for the shocked expression on his face to be replaced with a large smile. Ash runs over to the Pokeballs while Pikachu shut down the Electric Terrain.

Ash grabs the Pokeballs and dramatically flings them around. "ALRIGHT! I JUST CAUGHT MY TWO FIRST POKEMON!" He proclaimed. "I JUST CAUGHT FLETCHLING AND SEWADDLE!" He flings the Pokeballs up in the air while Pikachu jumped next to its Trainer in excitement. "Pi PIKACHU!" It squeaked.

After returning the Pokeballs to his bag Ash turns to Pikachu and asks it if its okay. "Pikachu..." It said, hanging its head down in shame. Ash picked Pikachu up in his hands. "You don't have to appologize!" He said, trying to cheer his partner up. "If anything is that Serena girl who needs to appolo... gize..."

Ash trails off as he remembers something both Professor Juniper and Serena's mom, Grace, told him before they went on their journey.

"Serena didn't take any Pokemon Academy classes, so she doesn't know how to survive in the wild! We're counting on you to protect her!"

Ash tells Pikachu to get back up on his shoulder, and he starts to run back to the place where he left Serena. Ash might think that she's a mean and weird girl, but she's still his responsibility. And besides, he doesn't like seeing ANYONE get hurt.

"SERENA! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Ash cried out around the entire Route, trying to find the girl who scared his Pikachu. Ash finally found the girl he was looking for, but she was unconscious on the ground.

Over her is standing a Pokemon. The Pokemon is an upright, meerkat-like creature with large cheeks and a single, pointed incisor sticking out of its mouth. It is mainly reddish brown with beige cheeks and neck. There is yellow striping on its chest and tail. Its hands, feet, and tail tip are white.

Its red eyes have small black pupils and a yellow stripe. Black markings accentuate the eyes at their outer ends. Its tail is almost exclusively depicted standing up straight, although it can also be kept in a relaxed position. It was a Watchog.

Watchog's eyes were glowing in an ever-changing pattern of yellow, green, pink, blue and purple. Ash realised that the Watchog was using Hypnosis to keep Serena asleep. Ash also notices that Watchog's shadow had red glowing eyes, and was holding Serena by the arms. Ash then realized that the Watchog is ALSO using Dream Eater to drain Serena's energy.

Ash was having none of that, and immediately called out for his Pokemon. "Let's see what you can do..." Ash says as he draws out one of his Pokeballs, catching the Watchog's attention. "FLETCHLING! I CHOOSE YOU!" He cried out, while throwing Fletchling's Pokeball up in the air, releasing a grayish stream of energy with wind patterns.

The energy then materializes in one area, releasing Ash's new partner Fletchling. "FLETCHLING!" It cried out, as Watchog's face became filled with rage.

Watchog's eyes start to glow red as it opened its mouth. Watchog's teeth start to glow white and grow to a giant size. After the move charged up, Watchog started to charge towards Ash and Fletchling.

'It's using Hyper Fang!' Ash realized what Watchog was doing, and thus, knew how to counter it. "Oh no you don't! FLETCHLING USE DOUBLE TEAM!" Fletchling then started to glow with a blue aura, and it started to vibrate quickly. Fletchling then started to move faster and faster, creating an illusion of multiple clones.

Watchog then stopped in its tracks, not knowing which Fletchling to attack. Ash took this opportunity to attack the Watchog who threatened Serena.

"ALRIGHT USE PECK!" Ash commanded Fletchling, who fused all of its clones together back to one body, did a little piruette up in the air as its beak started to glow white. Fletchling then scored a direct hit on Watchog, causing it to run off in defeat.

"YEAH! YOU BETTER RUN!" Ash tries to sound confident to the weird Watchog as it runs away. Ash then walks over to the unconscious Serena, but stops himself before trying to shake her awake, thinking it would be creepy.

Instead he decides to return Fletchling to its Pokeball and ask Pikachu for a favor. "Look Pikachu I know she scared you but I need you to wake her up! So can you do this for me buddy? Please?"

Pikachu is about to say 'no' to Ash's request, until it takes one look at Serena's face. Pikachu's eyes widen as it immediately recognizes her. Pikachu quickly changes its mind and decides to wake her up.

Pikachu then started to rub its paws against its cheeks, causing yellow and blue sparks to fly out of them (just like before). Pikachu is charging its Thunderbolt attack.

Ash quickly takes notice of what Pikachu was about to do, and he desperately calls out, "NO PIKACHU! I NEED YOU TO USE ELECTRIC TERRAIN! PEOPLE INSIDE ELECTRIC TERRAIN CAN'T FALL ASLEEP! I DON'T WANT YOU TO SHOCK HER!"

Pikachu then bursts into laughter as it falls backwards, still laughing. "That's some prank you pulled there pal..." Ash said trying to catch his breath.

Pikachu then used Electric Terrain to negate the effects of Hypnosis. It took a couple of seconds but Serena finally started to wake up. She slowly opened her eyes, to see the world around her glowing yellow and Ash's Pikachu standing next to her.

At first she was startled, but when she saw that Pikachu was really happy that she was awake, she calmed down, figuring that Pikachu wasn't here to hurt her. After Pikachu turns off the Electric Terrain, Serena looks around, to see Ash facing away from her.

"Ash?" She asked. "Yeah?" He replied, still facing away from her. "Why are you facing away from me?" "Oh! That's cause if I wasn't I'd be breaking the first of 'The 5 No's' now wouldn't I?"

Serena was shocked. 'He... He actually listened to my rules?' She thought to herself. "I... I mean you... You can turn to face me now... I mean... If you want to..." she tried to say, at a lost for words.

Ash thanked her and turned around, taking his first glance at her shining sapphire-blue eyes. Once he takes one look, his own eyes widen. Something inside his head clicked. Like a fuse being turned on after being out of service for years.

Ash remembers that he saw Serena before, long ago. 8 years ago to be exact. He remembers her wearing a pink little dress. But the thing that stands out the most in his mind is her straw hat and... her eyes. Those were eyes that he could never forget.

Ash quickly realized that Serena would think that he was staring at her, so he quickly caught himself and shook his head. "How are you feeling?" He asked her. "Just a little dizzy..." she replied, "Thank you for asking..." she replied quietly. "No prob!" Ash replied. To Serena's shock, he heard what she said.

"So Serena..." Ash asked. "What happened?" "Oh... My mind's a bit cloudy, but I remember a few key things..."

Flashback

Serena starts to burn up in anger. She's about to scream out, but is cut off by a rustling sound. "Wh... Who's there...?" Serena asked with a stuttering voice. Suddenly the Watchog jumped out of the bush.

Serena started to shake, while she pulled out the Pokedex...

Watchog, the Lookout Pokémon.

The markings on Watchog's body can glow to intimidate its foes. It has excellent vision, even in darkness.

After seeing this Pokedex Entry, Serena relaxed a little bit, seeing as it would probably lead her out of the Route, and in her mind, it didn't look so creepy.

But before Serena could ask for the Watchog's aid, Watchog's eyes started to glow red. Before Serena could understand what's going on, she feels herself surrounded by a paralyzing fear as a ghostly aura surrounds her.

Serena tried to move or call for help, but she found herself completely unable to move, speak and barely think. Watchog's eyes then started to glow again, but this time in an ever-changing pattern of yellow, green, blue, pink and purple.

After taking one look at Watchog's eyes, Serena felt her mind go numb, her eyelids getting heavier, and her body going limp. She fell asleep.

"Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Hyper Fang and Mean Look?" Ash thought out-loud before realizing something. He gasped. "What's wrong Ash?!" Serena asked, with worry in her voice. "Watchog's moves are really high level! There's no way a wild Watchog would know these moves in this area!"

Serena was still confused. "What are you saying Ash?" She asks him. "That means that this Watchog is owned by a Trainer!" He answered. Serena gasped, "S... So... So that means... S... Someone's after me?" "Not necessarily..." Ash tried to calm her down. "It probably wasn't an attack directly on you, but we can't be too sure!"

Serena then realized something. "A... Ash..." she said. Ash turned to look at her, "What's wrong Serena?" "I... Don't have any Pokemon..." Ash began to worry a lot about her. Ash took a deep breath. "Okay..." he said. "Until you catch your first Pokemon, me and my Pokemon will protect you!"

Serena began to blush. 'He cares about me this much?' Serena thought to herself. 'He's so nice... NO! NO SERENA! BOYS CAN'T BE NICE WITHOUT WANTING SOMETHING IN RETURN!'

Serena then crossed her arms. "How much is that gonna cost me?" She asked. "Huh? What are you talking about?" Ash asked, clearly confused. "I know that b... I mean people, don't help people that they barely know without wanting something in return! So you can't fool me!"

Ash then sighed. "Serena..." he said. "Did something happen to you?" Serena was taken aback by Ash's question, both in confusion and in surprise. "Th... That's none of your Combee's Wax!" She responded. "Okay... Just be aware that the only thing I want in return is for you to be safe... And that you have fun in our Journey!" He said smiling.

Serena couldn't believe her ears. 'Is he telling the truth?' She thought to herself. 'Should I trust him?' She looked around and saw that she had no idea where she is, where to go, or how to deal with wild Pokemon, since she was just attacked by one.

"O... Okay..." she said while blushing. Ash raised an eyebrow. "Serena... are you hot or something? Your face is red..." Serena suddenly jumped and shook her head until her face went back to normal. "YEAH I'M OKAY!" She said.

'He might be nice but that doesn't mean he's different!' She thought to herself. 'I can't fall in love again! I won't allow my heart to be broken a second time before my sweet 16!'

"So where do you wanna go?" Ash asked his traveling companion. Serena thought for a while and realized that she doesn't know what she wants to do. "I don't really know..." she said. "Where do you wanna go?" She asked back at him.

Without even thinking he answered. "That's easy! I'm heading to Straiton City!" "Why?" Serena asked. "I'm going to challenge the Gym! Win myself a Gym Badge, AND TAKE MY FIRST STEP ON MY WAY TO ACHIEVING MY DREAM OF BECOMING THE WORLD'S GREATEST POKEMON MASTER!"

Serena thought about it. 'A dream?' She thought to herself, realizing that she doesn't have a dream. 'Maybe if I travel with him I can realize what's my dream...' Serena gathered all her energy and formed a genuine smile.

"Alright then! Let's go!" She said excitedly, starting to run off. "Uh Serena... Straitin City's that way..." Ash said, pointing to the opposite direction of where Serena was running. "Right! Let's go!" Serena ran off in the direction Ash pointed to, with Ash quickly behind. 'I don't know what happened to the Serena I know...' he thought. 'But I'm not going to rest until you return to your normal bubby self!'

Hey guys! Infinityalbi10 here! I hope you liked this Chapter! If it's a bit different than the summary I gave last time, it's because I don't want to spoil the next Chapter. But here's one thing I CAN spoil, because you probably figured it out by now. Someone is indeed after our heroes! And spoiler alert... IT'S NOT CALEM! I take a few elements from Cutecreeper61 but not too much... Here's the summary for the next chapter:

Someone is after our heroes. Someone who doesn't have good intentions in mind. They follow Ash and Serena as they arrive at the Dreamyard. Once there they use their Pokemon to give Serena a terrible, hyper-realistic nightmare.

Serena is convinced that her nightmare was real and now is ready to hurt Ash without a second thought.

How will Ash convince Serena that he is her friend and he only has good intentions in his heart? Will Serena go back to her normal bubby self? Who is chasing our heroes and what do they want? And how does all of this help Serena realize who Ash is?
