"Jake, hang in there!"

I...I'm sorry.

The last thing I saw was Tess's horrified look and Nadia and Zinx running closer to pull me out. I could still see the exit, but the moment I fell completely in I saw it crumbling down. 

There's something wet on my face. I wipe at it, and saw it was tears. Oh.

I'll never see them again.

They're going to all die, and I can't do anything about it. Again. 

There's light in my peripheral. I look down and see my arms and legs glowing, then my torso. I shut my eyes. I don't want to see what'll happen.

...

The next thing I taste is grass. Then dirt. 

Lifting up my head and opening my eyes, I see...a town? It looks familiar, yet it doesn't, at the same time. 

It looks like home, but there was unfamiliarity to it. There were more houses, more people. Where's the lab? Where is this?

"Where am I?" I wonder aloud, panic building up in my stomach. 

...I felt something scurry past. 

"Agh!" I yell and fall on my back. Two ears fall into view. 

...Scorbunny?

No, the ears are yellow with red insides. It's inverted. 

"Em!"

Em?

I sit up, and see a yellow-and-red rabbitlike creature with blue eyes. It looks like Scorbunny...

"Well, hello there, little guy." I pet the little rabbit. "What's your name?"

"Embit!"

Embit? That's no Pokemon I've ever heard...

"Well, then, Embit? Would you like to come with me?"

Wait, what am I saying?!

Embit nods, hopping around me happily. 

"Alright then, let me just get a Pokeball..."

My pockets are empty.

"Wha-Where'd they go?!" My own Pokemon disappeared too. 

What happened to me?!

Embit nudged me and told me to follow it. I did, and found a triangular shaped disc buried in the dirt. 

"Is this your catching disc?" I inspect the triangle device. "Looks like I have a lot to learn about this world before I can return to my own..."
