You hum happily while holding your Piplup who was also cheerful. You were making your way to your Bestfriend and crush's house, Barry. You knew he was a little clumsy and jumpy but that's what made him cute to you. Today he had promised to go the PokéTheme park with you. You blushed a bit considering it a date since you've liked him for quite a while. You were also happy that his mother loved you like a daughter already, she often brought up about you two dating which always made Barry turn red excusing himself. Reaching Barry's house, you were about to knock but suddenly the door was thrown open and out he came rushing past you making you land on your behind holding Piplup protectively.

"B-Barry!?" You say surprised, he turned quickly panicking while pulling you up. "I-I'm so sorry (Y/N)!!! I'm in such a rush and so sorry!" You look at him questioningly "What do you mean?" "I have to meet up with the professor about something! I got to go see you!" And with that he ran off leaving you to look after him sadly. Piplup made a sad whine causing you to get out of your trance. "D-don't worry Piplup, we'll have fun ourselves!" You try your best to sound cheerful but on the inside you wanted to cry, you can't believe he forgot.

It was already sunset and you and Piplup were sitting on a bench eating Cotton Candy. "I wish Barry was here..." You whisper sadly...this was suppose to be a special day. You thought about how Barry was excitedly talking about going on a Pokémon Journey...he was going to leave. A tear streams down your face, that was probably why he was busy today and had to leave to talk to the professor. You stare at Piplup who was looking at you curiously, he's so innocent you thought. Suddenly you hear panting followed by your name, you turn to see Barry infront of you trying to catch his breathe. You quickly wipe your tears standing up "B-Barry!? What are you doing here?" He suddenly hugs you "I'm sorry I forgot about our date..." You blush...he considered it a date as well. "But I had to arrange my journey...and I have something very important to ask you." He pulls away to look at you seriously "Please come with me." You look at him shock but is quickly replaced by a smile. "Definitely." Barry was so excited as he gave you a quick kiss on the cheek. You blushed furiously so did he, he scratched the back of his neck then turned to the sound of fireworks.

You stared at his happy expression, you definitely knew your journey was going to be a long and happy one.
